All that glitters is gold – rose gold that is! Gloria and Enzo’s Vancouver wedding featured a spectacular 32-ft long aisle leading to a 32-ft by 16-ft stage (we’re still picking our jaws up off the floor)! Above the aisle hung a sea of crystal chandeliers and fringe decor, taking inspiration from Gloria’s favourite Korean television show, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. From the blush and cream florals to the rose gold detailing in the arches – every aspect was picture-perfect. And don’t even get us started on the bridal shoes! This Glitterati Style File uses fifty shades of pink and we are here for all them! Blush, coral, bubblegum, magenta, and millennial pink dominate the floral and decor and we honestly can’t decide which hue is our fav. What we do know is that we are OBSESSED with the anthurium-filled bouquet. We’ve seen this flower popping up in weddings more and more over the last year and it adds a unique touch to any arrangement. As seen in the Summer/Fall 2019 issue of WedLuxe Magazine (Toronto & Eastern Canada Edition), out now!
Earth tones and organic elements are the star of the show in this Glitterati Style File that uses a color palette anchored in greige (a trendy blend of beige and grey). “By pairing wood and textured materials with luxurious velvets and plush fabrics, we met rustic with a refined elegance,” shares planner Ellie Martires of Laura & Co. Events. The shoot concept also included a same-sex couple, a stunning bridal pantsuit from Valencienne Bridal Design, and boho chic pampas grass. You can find this style file in the Summer/Fall 2019 issue of WedLuxe Magazine (Toronto & Eastern Canada Edition), available to download here.
Everything is coming up roses for newlyweds, Sierra-Maria and Andrew! Pink roses, wisteria and vines were as far as the eye could see (seriously, they were even on the ceiling) and accented by rose-gold decor. Even the six-tier cake from Fine Cakes by Zehra was decked out with the bottom tier acting as a nod to the bride’s ruffled gown and the floral, ornate sofa resembling the one the couple used during their portrait session. Topped off with fireworks and a custom white marble dance floor, this wedding is definitely a garden fairytale! As seen in our Summer/Fall 2019 edition, available to download here.
Our two favorite trends of the summer – neon, and tulle – have finally combined to create the ultimate fall couture! Tulle is the current cool-girl fabric when it comes to fashion, and if there’s anything we’re more obsessed with than a ruffled, voluminous gown, it’s a pastel Giambattista Valli, ruffled, voluminous gown! Staging an exhibition, rather than traditional fashion show at Fall 2019 Couture Week, the designer wanted to create a peaceful experience for reflection. With a full H&M Collaboration in the works (the pre-launch in May sold out in seconds) on top of dressing Charlotte Casiraghi, a granddaughter of Grace Kelly, in a one-of-a-kind dress for her and Dimitri Rassam’s second nuptials, plus prepping for the next fashion week, we don’t blame Valli for wanting some peace! We’re tired just thinking about it!
We can’t help but crush on one of the trendiest hues of 2019: mauve! Purple’s more mature and sophisticated sister takes centre stage in this Glitterati Style File that combines fringed tulips and pearl accents with the signature muted hue. The result is a setup that is at-once romantic, elegant, and feminine. Talk about bridal inspo! As seen in the Summer/Fall 2019 issue of WedLuxe Magazine (Toronto & Eastern Canada Edition), available to download here.
How do you choose between a water-front or a garden wedding? Simple – you choose both! With Lanai as a backdrop, Nikou and retired MLB pitcher, Kyle’s Hawaiian wedding was definitely a home run (pun intended). We also can’t get over the fact the groom’s daughter walked him down the aisle and his son walked with the bride! At both the ceremony and reception, spectacular views were highlighted by white florals and hints of burgundy making this the ultimate destination wedding.
This vibrant and lush styled shoot, set at a 17th-century country house in the Cotswolds, explores the relationship between two grooms and their BFF. According to cake designer Elizabeth Solaru, planner Amie Bone “drew from her own experience and created this shoot as a celebration of modern relationships and friendships.” We can definitely say this shoot has inspiration at every turn – though our favorite elements have to be the cascading tablescape, feathered decor accents, and of course, the STUNNING black, 7-tier wedding cake with baroque accents from Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium. Simply incredible!
For this styled shoot, the Seawell Ballroom in Denver was turned into a colorful, South Asian oasis (talk about a transformation)! Jewel tone hues, in-house fireworks, henna, and an opulently-draped mandap all created an exotic ambiance, not to mention the wisteria-covered head table. Pure magic!
Calling all princess brides – this fairytale styled shoot from Aly Armstrong Weddings & Events is for you. We’re pretty much obsessed with every aspect of this feminine setup, from the drop-dead gorgeous Julie Vino gown and castle gate to the two hues of roses used throughout. We will never stop loving pink + greenery!
