I have been attempting my own basic play dough for a while now but haven’t quite found a perfect recipe ( read I don’t make it very well) and admittedly my colour combinations don’t always come out as the most attractive of doughs! So we treated ourselves to some Little Munchkins play dough over the weekend  and I don’t think I can ever go back… the smell and texture is literally amazing, so much so I would buy it just to take the lid off and smell it every so often!!

All natural wooden toys are some of my very most favourite things ( completely contradictory to my other very most favourite thing being bright rainbows of course). and because our house is all open plan downstairs  I like to keep the colours quite calming so the toys on display have to look beautiful as well as having great play value and I recently found a new UK base online shop called Zuri and Jane that stocks lots of gorgeous things that fit the criteria!

Inspired by a couple of days at home feeling ill ( the sort of ill where you are still perfectly fine to play as soon as you fell you have missed the school drop off time) , a little doll and toy hospital was made and it was so cute I had to get some pictures as a great idea for afternoon crafting and pretend play the she came up with all by herself…

With Mothers Day coming up I thought I would do a little post about something that is just my space (albeit stuck under the stairs normally surrounded by kids toys)! One of the most recent additions to it  is the Fatboy Edison the Grand Floor lamp, which actually provides the most amazing mood lighting in the evenings, perfect for relaxing and listing to the Hay Sonos One of course…

I have been searching for these montessori wooden tracing boards for a long time, so was so excited to discover some being made in England ( and right down the road from me) at The Little Coach House! We got a number board and alphabet one ( which amazingly comes in lower and upper case) and the boys were extra pleased with their personalised name ones, in fact they are so gorgeous they are going on display in their room. We tried out a few ways of using them today…
