For this of you who don't know I had the pleasure of venturing to Madrid, Spain just a few weeks ago as part of my international abroad studies with Elle Magazine and MIT, but since coming back all I have been able to think about is the culture of Spain that is so different than any other country I've visited in Europe before. The heritage, the food and most importantly the fashion was so incredibly unique and was the perfect harmony of traditional Latin American and European fusion. So upon returning back home to Toronto I was yearning for a way to inject a little more of that artisanal flare that is so prominent not only in Spanish fashion but the architecture and culture that flooded the streets of Madrid into my wardrobe and that's when I discovered the incredible line of handmade bags from Soukh

Though they may not come from Spanish decent this Canadian brand infuses the heritage of designer and founder's Gargi's Indian, Middle Eastern and Canadian roots to bring together the artisanal craft of traditional tiling that can be found in places like the calles of Spain to the bazzars of Turkey and all the way down to the souks of India which is where this brand acquired its name! If you have had the pleasure of traveling to any of these countries or all the wonderful places in between and ventured into local markets you know that tiling, fabric weaving and stone setting are all parts of the tradition in the way products such as bags and jewelry are manufactured and staying true to that traditional heritage of craftsmanship is what Soukh is all about.

Every single  bag from Soukh is not only handmade but also individually tiled and cast so no two bags, even if they are the same style will ever be exactly the same. This process is done by traditional tile setters across the globe that still practise the traditional setting and tiling that is derived from these international marketplaces and by fusing this craftsmanship with the style and colours of todays trends Soukh is able to deliver a truly one of a kind line of bags that are perfect for any fashion lover with an eye for tradition, impeccable craftsmanship and love stands out amongst the crowd.

That being said and me being the type of man that loves a carrying bags and breaking the norm when it comes to men wearing bags especially ones as flashy as these I have teamed up with the amazing team at Soukh to offer any of my fashion loving followers the chance to get your hands on your own handmade and one of kind Soukh bag for 15% off! Whether it be one of the minis like the one I'm sporting here in this post or a large size for a full day on the town all you have to do is enter the code DEBONAIR15 at checkout and it's as simple as that!

Thank you guys so much for following along on my international adventures so far and I hope you keep following because there is only a few more short weeks until I take off to Paris for the very first time!

Well now that the first month of 2018 is behind us, I think it's safe to say that the level of commitment we've had (at least myself) towards staying true to the resolutions we set as we rung in the new year may not be as strong as they were on January 1st but if there is one resolution that I'm sure made it on to a majority of peoples lists this year it's the goal of staying/being more active and I am proud that I have been able to maintain this resolution momentum with a little help from my new work out gear from KiMade Lab.

I'm definitely not the first person to get to the gym, ready to get my workout on only to realize the gear I decided to wear that day is too warm or even worse, not warm enough. I can honestly say it's happened to me more than I would like to admit but the team over at KiMade Lab has finally come up with the solution to making sure I'm neither too hot or too cold while working out ever again. With the mentality of fashion meeting function they were ale to design a one piece work out suit that is able to be completely modified for whatever workout your day may have in store for you.

What that means is that  by partitioning clothing into smaller components the wearer is able to modify a singular garment into a different one through the use of detachable garment lengths that can be attached and detached by an easy to use hidden zipper that canturn your long sleeve workout top into a a sleeveless tank or your full length trousers into shorts in less than 30 seconds. So you never have to worry if you wore the right garment to the gym ever again.

On top of being completely modifiable the KiMade workout suit uses a  unique KITO fabric, a hypoallergenic, natural polymer that is made from crab and shrimp shells to help prevent the smells of strong workout odours by fighting off the bacteria that causes these odours at the molecular level. You may be thinking that a fabric made of crab and shrimp shells probably isn't the easiest to care for but the KiMade workout suit is also 100% machine washable so that whenever your workout sweats do start to get noticeable its easy to get back to the gym in freshly cleaned workout gear.  It's definitely safe to say that smelly gym clothes that either make me feel too hot or too cold are definitely a problem of the past and I'm not only ready but excited  to keep my 2018 workout momentum going!

Now that majority of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is behind us, it's safe to say that here in Toronto we are fully emerged in the cold of winter and whether you're one to embrace the cold or to avoid it at every cost (just like me) the inevitability of having to go outside is bound to sink in sooner or later. So it's important to have the right winter essentials to survive the cold. If finding the right winter gear isn't the easiest task in the world for you not to fret because I teamed up with my friends at Mackage to share some of my favourite pieces to brave the winter in style!

Whether you're the type of guy who likes a pop of colour or a sleek and sexy black leather, a parka thats fits your taste is the number one piece of winter clothing that is worth making an investment in. Here I'm showing off the two sides of my style, the first my love for bright and fun colours with with the Florian down winter bomber which is the perfect colour to pair with light or mid wash denim or even a slim black dress trouser for a more formal occasion. Not to mention the leather trims and an additional exterior front pocket for men who appreciate the finer details when it comes to their garments. The second is my classic side with the love for leather and craftsmanship that I'm showing off with the beautiful and badass Glen down bomber which has a full leather exterior and fur lined hood for any man who appreciates a more rugged look in their outwear. Saying I'm obsessed with not only the fit but the way this jacket makes me feel when I slip it on is an understatement to how beautifully crafted this down jacket is.

Keeping warm and stylish during the winter doesn't just end at a great winter coat though! Many people may not know this but Mackage also offers a full range of accessories to compliment your outerwear while also keeping the look consistently stylish.

Typically I'm not a fan of wearing gloves or mitts during the winter simply because I find it very annoying to have to take off my gloves every time I want to check my phone and also because I find mitts limiting on what you can do with your hands. Luckily this year I finally I found the perfect pair of gloves/mitts that keeps my hands warm and functional all winter long. These shearling lined gloves finally made it so I can wear a mitt to keep warm but also undo the top mitt function in order to have all my fingers fully functional when I need them to be!

Although  finding the right pair of gloves did take some time, one accessory I definitely don't have trouble shopping for is scarves. I love scarves because of the way they elevate an outfit by adding the extra depth and detail that sometimes isn't achieved by an outfit alone. So you could image my excitement when I picked up this jacquard extra-long scarf with all the different shades of grey that also features the signature arrow detailing that Mackage has been known for over the years.

Trust me when I say that I know that winter shopping can be a daunting and even sometimes frustrating task but I hope this winter essentials guide helps eliminate some of the stress that goes into finding the right winter wardrobe and if you haven't already be sure to check out the rest of the amazing selection of coats, parkas and accessories that Mackage has in store from their Winter collection!

The Debonair Dude by Aram Eginliyan - 5M ago

To me sunglasses have always been a direct affiliate with summer time, the beach and of course the enjoying a day outdoors in the sun but since I've been travelling to California frequently over the past few months I have got to carry out sunglass season right into the winter thanks to my friends at Marsquest

I often hear and have also experienced myself the struggle of looking for a stylish pair of sunglasses that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg but also does everything I need them to do in terms of protection.

For those of you who don't know the effects that UVA and UVB rays may have on your eyes, take this as the first step into understanding that yes, sunglasses may be a great accessory that can elevate your style but they also are key tools in protecting our eyes from the damage the sun may cause. Both UVA and UVB rays have historically been linked to signs of vision loss and UVB rays in specific have even been affiliated with the development of cataracts which is the clouding and blurring that can affect the natural lenses and obscures the way our eyes see light.

Now with every pair  Marsquest glasses the safety doesn't just end at UV protection. Their collection also includes other great protection factors like 100% polarization and enhanced glare reduction which are all the factors needed to make sure your eyes are not overworking themselves and lead to healthier eyes down the road.

As I mentioned above sometimes sunglasses tend to be a bit on the pricier side of the retail spectrum especially when you're looking for a pair that includes a lot of the protection factors that these glasses offer. With Marsquest you don't have to choose protection over price point because their ethos is all about delivering bold and stylish lenses that not only make you look great but feel great and all  sold at an affordable price point.

So whether you have a taste for the more colourful side of sunglass shopping or are a lover of classic black or brown frames that infuse durability, style and protection the selection and diversity in styles offered by Marsquest won't leave you disappointed!

Being the Canadian man and fashion lover that I am, I'm sometimes a bit bias for the love I have for Canadian fashion designers mostly because I feel that the world does not shed a bright enough spotlight on Canadian designers and really Canadian fashion as a whole. So today I'm shedding my own personal spotlight on one of my personal favourite Canadian designers who gives a fine balance of detailed construction and street style that blurs the lines of gender in a perfect balance - Andrew Coimbra!

Trained in his craft through attending both OCAD for Material Arts and Design and George Brown's School of Fashion this young powerhouse is a force to be reckoned with after also designing and training with brands like Pint Tartan, Philip Sparks and Proenza Schouler. He has come to realize his artistic vision through his own self titled brand ANDREW COIMBRA which he describes as a line that is cool and  protrudes a refined ease. This season he even had some of his designs strut down the runway in this years Canada 150 Special Collection Show at Toronto Women's Fashion Week.

Now I've been a fan of Andrew's for some time now but this season after seeing his amazing RUDE tee's my heart couldn't handle the love especially because I've been on a huge t-shirt fixation lately and after seeing this red one I knew I had to plan a look with it. The fitted torso and sleeves makes it the perfect t-shirt for wearing on its own just like I have here or as a fitted layer under a blazer, jacket or chunky cardigan once the temperature start to dip like it has in Toronto.

I was first introduced to Andrew's work at Toronto Men's Fashion Week a few years back. I would often drool over his modern take on traditional silhouettes like the buckle straps here on this cropped jacket or the detailing he would include on a hem or waistline in his past collections. To me great fashion is executed when taking a little from the past and incorporating it in a modern and unique way, and the detailing that Andrew consistently includes in his designs is what ultimately led to my love for his work.

As I mentioned above Andrew sometimes liked to blur the lines of gender in his designs which I think is a HUGE component in fashion today. Being able to create a silhouette or design that can work for both female or men is no easy task, let me tell you and after seeing this season collection I was in an androgynous dream. Now I'm not normally one for an all black outfit (nothing against them, I just find it doesn't convey me as an individual so I tend not to go for that look very often) but after seeing the details on this top from his androgynous line I had an outfit already conceptualized in my head and sure enough got to bring it to life!

For my Toronto people and really any readers who have come to witness the brisk cold of winters touch Andrew may have you covered with some of the outerwear pieces from the line as well. A long oversized topcoat is something I've been seeing a lot in both the world of womenswear and menswear this season and this piece is one that hit the trend perfectly. The brushed wool not only made me feel warm while shooting these photos but also was the perfect piece to wear over bulkier layers. I know for men especially it gets difficult to wear more fitted jackets when the temperatures begin to take a dip because you just feel constricted and can even limit your ability mobility in your upper body but with an oversized coat that gives you enough room in both your sleeves and torso those winter worries can easily be left behind!

To check out the rest of the amazing line from the incredibly talented Andrew Coimbra or to geek over his amazing artist vision like I do, be sure to check out out his website or follow him on Instagram!

It's fall. The leaves are changing, the fashions are transitioning and there is a lot of personal change going on in my life as well. Earlier last month I got news that completely changed everything that I had going on in my life. I got accepted into a collaborative program with Elle Magazine International, MIT Sloan and the Complutense University of Madrid called the Elle International Fashion and Luxury Management Program. Yes, I cried when I got the call not only because it was a super emotional moment for me but because I applied to this program as a passionate person who loves the fashion industry as a whole and could only hope for the best once I clicked 'submit' on my application. Sure enough my hard work paid off and I got accepted into this unique once in a lifetime opportunity where I get to travel to some the worlds most influential fashion capitols and study from true visionaries and leaders in the global fashion industry and that was an opportunity I could not let slip away. So I accepted the offer and officially begin school as a full time student again in mid-December!

Now I say again when I mention full time enrolment as a student because when I finished high school (and many people may not know this about me) I actually attended the University of Toronto with a major in Law, Ethics and Society with the full intention of becoming a lawyer after I completed my undergrad. Well it's safe to say that that path was not for me but even though I was enrolled as a full time student I worked my schedule in a way where I only had school two and a half days a week and was still able to work my full-time job. This time around I have made school (obviously being more passionate about what I'll be studying) my top priority and even took a leave of absence from work in order to really focus on this program and absorb everything this opportunity is going to throw at me.

That being said, in such a short amount of time I've had to make a lot of changes both mentally and physically. Ive had to prepare my finances, organize my part time endeavours like my styling and personal shopping career, get excited about being able to blog and share my journey into this program with all of you but most importantly transition my mental mindset from being someone who has worked a full-time job for almost five years to someone who is going to be working as a freelancer and making school my new "full-time job".

Although I am so ready to take on this new and exciting chapter in my life (I mean I've already done a lot of work, it's happening whether I like it or not at this point) I can't help but wonder about all the little changes that will be made in my daily schedule that in a way keep me grounded on a day to day basis. So I've decided to create a hand written list of things that are separate from work that I sometimes take for granted that I think will be key in transitioning into the journey I have ahead! A friend of mine told me something once that I don't think I'll ever forget. He said "Aram, we are all responsible for out own happiness. No one can do that for you but yourself." so as I sit here writing this I am thinking of all the things that make me happy in my life and cannot wait to add being a full time student studying at some of the most accredited institutions and names in the global fashion industry to my personal list of things that will keep me grounded during this transition and also contribute to what makes me happy as an individual.

I know this is a little different than my regular fashion posts here on The Debonair Dude but I thank you guys so much for taking the time to read this personal post! To find out more about my program and all the fun that is to come in my journey ahead as a full-time be sure to also check out my post on Dothedaniel.com!

I definitely can't be the only gent who wakes up in the morning and is faced day after day with the struggle on which shoes to wear with the outfit I've chosen for the day. I know it sounds like the smallest decision to make with all the decisions a working man has to make in his life but thanks to my friends at Mark's Canada I've selected and styled 3 pair of shoes to make the morning shoe debacle a lot easier, all from Mark's selection of of work ready footwear!

The first pair I picked out were a classic fall staple - The Chelsea Boot. This soft leather pair with  light brown soles are from the Denver Hayes Line up at Mark's and were the perfect touch to complete the James Dean/Grease look I was going for with all these awesome Levi's pieces also available from Mark's! Now if the Grease look isn't appropriate for your work week attire, not to worry because classic chelsea boots like these make for the perfect casual addition with so many different looks whether it be a two piece suit paired with your go-to button down or for your casual Friday look with your favourite pair of jeans.

For the gent who isn't quite the boot wearing type of guy these work sneakers also from the Denver Hayes selection at Mark's are the perfect shoe option for you. The brown trim details in the laces and stitching are the perfect tonal contrast making them the go-to pair whether you're in the mood to rock your brown or black belt for the day. Personally, after strutting around a full day in these myself I can attest they're the shoe for you if you're looking for optimal comfort and support in your feet throughout your day at work.

For my last pick I wanted to go with a shoe that I personally have never worn before but have seen styled so well over the years and decided to jump in on the action - The Chukka Boot. These bad boys are also from the Denver Hayes collection at Mark's and are honestly the perfect wardrobe essential. What that means is that whether you're looking for the everyday work shoe staple or just that slightly upper-scaled shoe to add that little formal touch to your weekend outfit a chukka boot should be a part of your closet. This pair in specific is in a very soft black leather so they work really well with darker blue jeans, black jeans or even a shade of grey but also look really sharp when paired with your favourite khakis or chinos with a printed button down. Here I styled them with darker slim stretch jeans also from Levi's at Mark's and went with the full spread bandana to add that extra bit of flare but after wearing these shoes with a variety of different looks I can attest that they look equally as great with a slim tie as they do with a full spread classic bandana!

Thank you guys so much for reading and to check out the full selection available at Mark's or get your hands on the pieces I've styled here in this post click here!

If your hair is anything like mine adding texture is an essential part of your every day routine.  Whether your hair is on the thinner side or on the thicker side like myself texturizing is a way to really add definition to any hair look you're trying to go for but sometimes a hefty price tag tends to come with better texturizing products. Luckily I teamed up with my friends at Dippity Do MEN to show you guys 3 hair looks that are super easy to achieve, all with their new line of killer texturizing products that won't only nourish and upscale your hair routine but won't make you question your budget either!

For my first look it was all about that sexy messy look. I for one typically don't do a messy look too often mostly because I find it difficult to achieve it in just the way I want it, but with Dippity Do's Texture Paste achieving the perfect tossed messy look was an absolute breeze. Not to mention styling your hair in a messy look is the perfect excuse to pull your favourite leather biker jacket out of the closet!

For my second look I went in the complete opposite direction of the messy look and wanted to style the sleek side combed look using Dippity Do's 3-in-1 Pomade. I for one am a huge fan of using pomade and I'm sure any man with thicker hair can also agree that it's just the perfect product to keep your locks in place because of the strength of the hold. Pomade is also a great way of adding that little bit of shine and dewy look to your hair without having to actually wet it so using it for that sleek side combed hair look is a match made in heaven.

Last but certainly not the least and my personal favourite of the three looks I styled is my side part undo using the amazing Dippity Do Styling Cream. Prior to this I've never really used a cream based styling product but after using the Style Cream its been my everyday go-to product for that perfect neat, slick, textured and volumed look.

Additionally to having all these products being the perfect solution to achieving that well rounded textured look with your hair it's also packed with nourishing ingredients like Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Olive Oil and Tea Tree Oil so even once the product is washed off your hair still feels softer, more nourished and shinier than ever before. Oh and the conditioning effect these nourishers add to your hair makes it all that more easy to style your textured look the next time around!

To get your hands on these products and start getting your texturizing routine down pat you can visit your local Walmart, Loblaws, London Drugs, Jean Coutu and online at www.dippitydomen.com AND as a special treat I'm giving away a hair care goodie bag filled with each of these amazing Dippity Do Men's products to one lucky gent! Here's how to enter:

1) Follow and like my Dippity Do Men's post on my Instagram @arameginliyan.

2) Follow @dippitydomen on Instagram.

3) On my Instagram photo featuring Dippity Do Men's products comment and let me know how you would style your hair with your new Dippity Do Men's products!

Good Luck!

The Debonair Dude by Aram Eginliyan - 8M ago

So a few weekends ago I had the opportunity to pack my bags and go on my very first "glamping" trip! (If you know me personally you will understand how big of a deal this was for me) I don't enjoy bugs in the slightest or the idea of sleeping on the floor so when the idea came up for a me and a few of my friends to boot the traditional aspects of camping and swap them for a few nights of cabin filled "glamping" action I was 100% on board. So I packed my bags and headed just outside of Toronto to Cedars Campgrounds but not without the help of my trusty friends at MEC

For those of you who don't know "glamping" is the more fabulous cousin of traditional camping. Yeah you heard me right. It's a glamorous take on tradition camping where you typically are not striped of your daily essentials and have to rely on a lot of preplanned packing or living off the land.

Prior to this I'd never been "glamping" before either but let me tell, being the Canadian boy that I am and the fact that this was not like any other trip to a campground I've been to in the past made this an experience I would happily try again and I'm not only saying that because the campground had a pool and an awesome restaurant on site!

My MEC equipment also played a huge role in making this trip extra special. With a bag full of activities and durable equipment like the awesome camp mat and giant portable cooler bag  that made sitting pool side all the more comfortable without having to worry about our drinks warming up throughout the day in the sun.

So whether you're the type of person who absolutely loves a weekend outdoors in the summer or even the type of person like myself who isn't as comfortable giving up their everyday essential I would definitely recommend looking up your nearest "Glamp" in prep for next summer's weekend getaway with some friends!
