Yesterday was Valentine’s Day. A celebration of love. It’s, after all, who + what we are.

I’m sorry that in the USA there was also another school shooting. It’s scary + sad.

When things like this happen, we naturally have a variety of responses. Sometimes we choose to turn away. Shut if off. Not look.

Sometimes we choose to feel it all + cry + pray.

Sometimes, it’s far from home, and sometimes, it happened to us, or our neighbor, or a friend.

However we feel or respond, it impacts the collective consciousness + we all are subject to feelings of despair, sadness + anger.

It’s tempting to get into the material world— join debates, voice our point of view, be outraged with politicians or gun makers + promoters.

I do it, too.

However, it’s also important to have a spiritual perspective + take a step back. If we really believe we’re spiritual beings, and we have a body, and this life is an earth school, where we’ve all come forth to learn lessons + grow our soul, then we must look at what happens here with a sense of neutrality.

I know. Neutrality? That’s a tough one.

Yet, if we think about it, losing our faith, or our center, doesn’t really help, does it?

Placing blame or attacking, doesn’t really help, either, does it?

What does help?

Have you heard of the tipping point or the 100th monkey effect?

These are example of how it’s possible to effect social change.

I believe if more of the light-workers + healers on this planet continue to be aware + raise their frequency + vibration + meditate + get right within themselves, then we can create massive social change, from an energetic place, rather than from a place of warm, opposition, violence or manipulation.

I too am outraged sometimes at what I see happening with our president, or congress, or in Washington, but every time I get involved, I feel off center.

I always come back home to the truth of the power of this moment, this breath, this heart.

And as long as I breathe in peace + breathe out love, as long as I stay awake + aware + do my best to love, then I’m good.

From a spiritual perspective, it has been said that we each come in + sign up for our soul contracts + we know when, where + how we’ll die.

What if that’s true?

What if each + every soul in that building played a vital part, consciously, and from choice, to be a part of a bigger game plan, that forwards social change + the consciousness of humanity?

What if there are no victims + rescuers + no perpetrators?

If you’ve ever been locked in dramatic relationship cycles, or been in a abusive relationship, than you might know the drama triangle.

It’s a lose-lose for everyone.

Thoughts like these are controversial. We want to cling to our rage + desire for justice.

However, pulling out of the material, and putting some attention on the spiritual, knowing that there is no death, + treating all events as neutral, gives us a HOLY powerful place from which to effect drastic social change on an energetic level- which may be the real secret.

Wherever you are in the grief cycle, however you handle grief, I’m okay with that. And, I invite you into your holy truth, your holy center, and to act from there.

The secret to social change? It may be less like rage and more like stillness. It may be from your meditation cushion + propelled from NEUTRALITY + being connected to the light.

All my love,
XO

If you say you want to be a business owner and you have a big purpose + you want to make a difference on this planet, and you’re ready “yesterday,” and then you say that you have no money to invest, no resources + aren’t willing to spend money to make money, then you’re living in a fantasy.

Show me one successful person who made it big, or fulfilled their dreams, or grew a business who didn’t put anything into it.

Before you can have the kind of success you really want, you have to get over your money blocks, your poverty consciousness, your fear that you won’t be held or supported by the universe.

And here’s the truth: It’s not about the money.

It’s never about the money. You don’t have a money problem.

You may have a mindset issue. You may lack the creativity to get curious about how resourceful you could be.

But truly, money is just an easy excuse we use to get off the hook and never create our dreams.

We’ve learned that most people will leave us alone if we tell them our sad money stories, or that we have no money, or that we’re in debt, broke, or on welfare.

So long as you’re playing small, you don’t have to be accountable, responsible, or generative.

You have the perfect excuse to stay stuck, play small and never push beyond your comfort zone.

And, you have a really good reason why, so when you lie to yourself, you feel justified.

However, it still hurts + sucks because you know what’s worse than never feeling like you have enough money?

Never stepping fully into your truth, your power and owning your gifts to contribute in the BIG way you know you want to in the world.

  • So, would you be willing to own how powerful you are?
  • Would you be willing to give up all the excuses you wear like a security blanket that keep you safe + small?
  • Would you be willing to trust life + assume positive intent?
  • Would be willing to believe in faith + grace?
  • Would you be willing to live like what shows up in front of you is the answer to the questions you’ve been asking + the prayers you’ve been praying?

If you want a BIG dream, you have to play BIG. You have to step out of your comfort zone + do something you’ve never done.

If you’d like to hear more about how I stepped out of mine + finally got resourceful, check out my free masterclass here:

The short answer?

It’s in front of me.

No, really.

The other day I was sharing with a friend about something I came across that seemed to be JUST the answer to my prayer.

My “friend” responded with some hesitation.

I immediately felt annoyed.

I love the excitement + joy + generative energy of LIFE!

I love to assume positive intent.

To imagine that I LIVE in a KIND universe.

I LOVE playing the game called, ASK AND RECEIVE.

When I’m excited and I share with someone and they meet my energy with fear, trepidation, concern or doubt, I’m instantly cufooied.

(Whatever that is!)

Here’s why:

I REALLY LOVE to live life in an optimistic, joyous state.

I’m not talking about constantly farting rainbows and ignoring anything that’s not fluffy and pink, but in general, if I’m excited, why would I dampen that flame?

Like Toltec Wisdom says, there are TWO TRACKS: love or fear.

It’s easy to get all fearful, especially if we watch the news, or too many Dateline specials.

A representation of ALL that is GOOD and HOLY and as long as I am ALIGNED with that and RECEIVING that, then that’s what I shall have.

Join me at this feast, or get some quick take-out and eat it alone in the dark.

Tis all up to you.

But at some point, you gots to decide.

Do you believe the world is a loving, safe place, and everything is always working out for you, or do you believe someone is waiting just around the corner to fuck you over?

Think long and hard. For this decision will decide your fate.

XO
Rachel

We found them sitting out in front of the cottage on tree stumps. They were singing, digging in the sand, and drinking tea.

I’m sorry were late, I said.

Oh no, you’re a mama, you’re always right on time, she replied.

Phew, I thought. A place I can just be. Thank goodness.

They offered us tea, said cheers to our names as they clinked our glasses, and continued on with the song.

Soon, we went inside and I was instantly inspired by the environment. Thick rugs, warm lamb skin rugs, soft dolls, wooden toys, beautiful cloths.

She said, you can join, or not join, you can do what you want here. Then, she moved her hands in front of her in the motion of water, and said, “Your own rhythm.”

I let my bare feet nestle into the lambskin.

I ran my fingers across the wood. Then, we started baking. I got Sophia an apron and we sat side by side, singing “Mr. Baker’s Man” with our dough. We rubbed our hands in the flour. We pounded and rolled the dough. We marked it with a “B.”

After that, I sat in the rocking chair and began sewing a hat.

Sophia played with another girl in the wooden house beside me. They peeked their heads through the yellow cloth and I said, “Boo!” They squealed with delight + I did it again.

Tears came to my eyes as I recalled the sterile environments of my youth.

White, linoleum floors scrubbed with bleach. Bright florescent lights. Cold cots upon which to nap in large rooms full of cold air.

This is what I needed, I thought. My sensitive spirit needed warmth, freedom, cooking, baking, freedom to explore with my hands…

Waldorf education was created by Rudolf Steiner in Germany. He himself seems to have been a psychic of sorts with many spiritual experiences.

The Philosophy of Waldorf

Waldorf or Rudolf Steiner education is based on an anthroposophical view and understanding of the human being, that is, as a being of body, soul and spirit. The education mirrors the basic stages of a child’s development from childhood to adulthood, which in general reflects the development of humanity through history from our origin, far back in past times up to the present.

The central focus for the Waldorf teacher is the development of that essence in every person that is independent of external appearance, by instilling in his/her pupils an understanding of and appreciation for their background and place in the world, not primarily as members of any specific nation, ethnic group or race, but as members of humanity and world citizens.

Thus, the Waldorf kindergarten cultivates and works in support of the pre-school child’s deep, inborn natural attitude, belief and trust in and basic reverence for the world as an interesting and good place to live in.

In the lower grades in elementary school, this leads over to more of a stress on using artistic elements in different forms (rhythm, movement, color, form, recitation, song, music), not primarily as a means of personal self expression, but as a means to learn to understand and relate to the world, building an understanding for different subjects out of what isbeautiful in the world in the broadest sense of the word.

And in the upper grades and high school, this leads in steps to an ever more conscious cultivation of an observing, reflecting and experimental scientificattitude to the world, focusing on building an understanding of what is true, based on personal experience, thinking and judgment.

The goal of Waldorf or Rudolf Steiner education is to enable students as fully as possible to choose and, in freedom, to realize their individual path through life as adults.

From http://www.waldorfanswers.org/Waldorf.htm

One of the things I love most about Waldorf is its emphasis on toys and dolls made of natural products.

It highly encourages the use of play + imagination for the young child, who they say is in a “dream like” state for the first six years.

As such, Waldorf teachers and parents spend a lot of time sewing and making crafts of felt or yarn. This lends itself to an extremely aesthetically pleasing tasks and environments.

I’ve really enjoyed creating our home to add warmth, texture and natural toys + products wherever possible. It’s inspiring to say the least!

What’s bringing warmth to your spirit these days? Share with me in the comments below, I’d love to hear from you!

All my love,
XO

Don’t hate me for this post. If you do this, I still love you. I just had to write about it. It’s my truth.

Very often in spiritual circles, or at least amongst people who are into energy, it’s common to hear someone say:

Wow, ‘the energy’ has been so HEAVY lately.

OR

What’s been up with ‘the energy’ lately, can you feel that?

OR

There’s a BIG shift in energy lately, have you felt it?

This drives me bananas.

A. We are energy. Information that moves. The energy you FEEL is YOUR energy, or that of those around you. If you’re in the habit of working with your energy, cleaning + clearing your space, raising your energy, then what’s happening “out there” doesn’t really impact you.

I’m going to tell you a secret.

I pretty much always feel REALLY good. Pretty much every day I wake up like, Wow, thank you, God. Wow, breath. Heart. Body. Food. Warmth. Love. Trees. Sky. Air. Yay!

My secret favorite song is Hakuna Matata…it means no worries, for the rest of your days…

And let me tell you, my only angst is often around feeling guilty for feeling SO good.

I know there’s suffering. I know people are starving, dying, don’t have clean drinking water, I get it.

And still, I feel joyful and grateful and thankful and blessed.

So, I believe that ‘the energy’ that we feel is the energy that we CHOOSE to feel, to cultivate, to grow, to emanate, to vibrate with.

Also, the other issue I have with these blanket statements is that other people who DON’T feel the “shift” you’re talking about can feel invalidated, further diminishing their belief or confidence in their intuition + awareness.

The energy you’re feeling has everything to do with your life, your choices, your vibration, the people you hang around with and your LIFE.

If I am experiencing a period of discomfort, or growth, or sadness, or pain, then I FEEL it. I work with it. I do my practices and I get SUPPORT.

You can get support too, start here with my free women’s intuition toolbox and start cleaning your space so you can feel what YOU feel like. When we’re running our OWN energy, we feel GOOD!

To all of us feeling GOOD even when it’s HARD, and knowing that our EXPERIENCE is a DIRECT RESULT of OUR ENERGY and that if we don’t like what we’re feeling or experiencing, we are the only ones who can change it.

The other day I was on the phone with a client and she reported that after our initial session her pain had gone away.

She was feeling great about that, but her mind kept asking the question, “Now what?”

So I repeated that back to her…”Now what? Do you know?”

She said, “No.”

She honestly didn’t have any idea where to go from here.

I smiled and said, “This is the best part. This is the juicy part. This is what it’s all about…

You get to create it from here. It’s all up to you. Your vision. What would you like to create?

Abraham talks about that we’re deliberate creators, come forth, on the cutting edge of consciousness, to create.

However, many of the women I talk to lately don’t have a vision.

They’re not clear where they want to go. Sometimes, they tell me they haven’t even thought about it, or that no one has ever asked them that question.

I find that tragic, and totally understandable.

We’re pretty quickly taught in this world to fit in, be nice, do what others are doing, and by the way…

Artist’s starve.

When we have big dreams or hair-brained ideas, there’s often someone around to pull us back and tell us why that’s not likely, nor probable.

So, over time, our wild, free, innocent, joyful child self grows up and becomes a responsible adult with dead dreams.

Sounds good, eh?

No. No, it doesn’t, does it?

After I assist my clients in cleaning out all the old thought forms, paradigms, belief systems and energy from their family that told them what they couldn’t do, and what wasn’t possible, and where the caps and the limits on their creation lie, then I help them craft the vision for their future.

This is what being psychic and clairvoyant is all about. As we develop our sight, or vision, we also develop the capacity to see new possibilities for our lives and those of others.

To get where we want to go, we have to realize that we’re a conscious creator.

We have to realize we have choice. We have to realize that life isn’t happening to us, but for us, and that we get to say what we experience.

This is actually quite a radically spiritual idea. To believe this, one must believe that they’re not a victim. Victim consciousness is favored by many, but it’s actually one of the lowest places on the totem pole.

Rising up, growing in awareness and choosing things like self healing and radical responsibility open us up to healing our relationships and, best of all, HAVING POWER!

So, if you’re not currently experiencing the reality you’d like to be experiencing, start with forgiveness. of self and others. Start a spiritual practice. Meditate. Clean your space. Write. Engage in creative expression.

If you’re seriously clinically depressed, see a doctor. Get the support and resources you need to physiologically be well. Don’t feel you have to go it alone. Healing ourselves doesn’t mean BY ourselves.

Finally, know that you’re a conscious creator and you get to create your life.

Start to vision. Imagine. Feel. Create pictures. Sit with what it would be like to live your dream life. We all need something pulling us forward.

Answer this question:

If you could wave your magic wand and have your ideal life, what does it look like in terms of career, relationships, health, finances, home?

Know that anything is possible. Know that you can change your life. It starts here, today, right now. You’re always once choice away from a new forever.

All my love,

xo

After waking, snuggling, having breakfast, singing to the fire fairies and re-booting laundry, I remembered that I wanted to go to a NIA dance class today…and the clock said I still had time.

When we arrived at the Rec-Center I was glad to see a beautiful pond, golden trees and a spectacular view of the snow-capped Rockies.

When we entered the nursery, I asked the woman her name and introduced us. Then I asked if it was okay if I sat down and stayed for a bit.

The room was full of children but nothing much was going on.

They all seemed to be in their own little worlds and it was quite a lonely feel. I sat at the table with Sophia and showed her the bin of baby dolls. Heaven on earth!

There was a darling blonde girl next to me and I said, “Hello, what’s your name?” “Violet.” She said.

“I said, Hi Violet, I’m Rachel.” She got a huge smile and said, “I have a friend in my class named Rachel.” I said, “You do? That’s awesome! Guess what, I have a friend named Violet too!”

Soon, the other children began to gather around us.

I pulled out the box of crayons so Sophia could see that she could color. Before I knew it, all the children were seated round us and Jesse, the teacher, had to get more chairs.

I left when Sophia and the others were happily engaged in an activity and all gathered together.

I headed upstairs to my NIA class.

As we started moving our bodies to the music, I was aware that it takes ONE thing to make a good teacher or care taker of children…JOY.

Bringing joy, meeting the joy within others, is what ignites the light and warms the atmosphere.

To have joy with kids, you really have to love being with them.

I think that’s what made me such a good teacher, I just really, really like kids.

When I entered the NIA class, the instructor was asking everyone which NIA dance routine we should do. This caught me off guard. She’s the NIA teacher, I expect her to decide that.

She hemmed and hawwed and then decided that we needed to take a vote.

C’mon lady, this is my first class with you and you’re losing me already…

She gave us three choices, went through them twice. Two more people walked in, she reviewed them once more, then we voted. Now we’re 5 minutes into class.

There was a clear winner. She said, “Oh, I don’t know, maybe I’ll just pick one.”

What?

I do my best to be loving and open-minded wherever and whenever possible, but I also really like a great leader.

I myself have trained with world class leaders at Landmark Education, have paid some of the top coaches in the world to train me, have a Masters Degree in Education and spent over ten years as an educator.

I know about commanding a room and leading a group, and quite frankly, I’m damn good at it. Damn good.

Here’s what I say are the top qualities of a great leader:
  1. Presence. You know how to be present- in your body, with other people, bring your full energy into a room.
  2. Integrity. You start on time, end on time, clean it up if you don’t, and make sure people know you’re in charge and honoring of their time.
  3. Humor. You can laugh at yourself, you enjoy yourself, and you don’t take anything too seriously.
  4. Charisma. You know how to be charming, or charismatic and engaging. This is magical soup and a quality that can’t really be taught.
  5. Power. You own your power, take your power, and don’t hand your power over to others.
  6. Empathy/Compassion. You can feel what others feel, you can feel your own feelings deeply. You’re not afraid to feel. You care for the well-being of others.
  7. Self-awareness. You are aware of what you’re doing, your motivations, your own pain, your own mistakes.
  8. Accountability/Responsibility. You’re willing to be accountable for your actions + you take responsibility. You clean things up. You own what you create.
  9. Vulnerability. To do all this, to be all this, in front of people, you must be vulnerable. You’re willing to be seen, flaws and all.
  10. Love/Heart/Joy. You have felt your pain, sat with your aches, done your work to access your joy. You bring love and heart and joy to yourself and others.
Interestingly, this article from the Harvard Business Review sums it up to say that Emotional Intelligence is what makes a great leader.

“The chief components of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill—can sound unbusinesslike, but Goleman, cochair of the Consortium for Research on Emotional Intelligence in Organizations, based at Rutgers University, found direct ties between emotional intelligence and measurable business results.

The way I see it, too many people take charge, lead, and speak, when they aren’t actually that good at it. Take our President for example.

The wise ones with charisma and self-awareness, actually sit back, observe and allow things to play out.

This is why I teach women to find their courage to speak their truth, tell their stories, and lead others. We need the psychic, intuitive, present women to rise up and open their mouths.

If you speak in front of others, or if you want to, I beg you, learn to command a room. Be with the whole room. Stand tall and proud and speak loud.

If you’re a coach or a teacher, please, use your power. I expect that when I show up to a class or a coach, they’ll know what they’re teaching, they’ll start on time and they’ll take charge.

Above all, know that how you be, every moment, of every day, with everyone you meet, weaves the web and molecular make-up that is your life.

If you want to do big things, make a big difference and lead and teach, then start now. The feminine energy in all of us is the relationally, emotionally intelligent part.

Show up and gather the children round. Use your voice. Access your feminine nature, and by golly…

DANCE YOUR HEART OUT!

When I picked Sophia up, apparently all the other kids had just left. I found her standing behind the lone teacher in the room who was filing papers in a binder, her back to Sophia.

I said, “Hi babe.” Her lip quivered as she said, “Hi Mama.”

This was the first time I’d left her in a nursery type setting in awhile. Sweet babe. We’re all growing up, some of us faster than others.

Weave your magic. Your mere presence changes things so make sure it’s for the better. And remember: the way you BE with one impacts the WHOLE. So, if you really want to be a leader, ensure that you show up fully with an open heart for EVERYONE you meet.

Ultimately, being psychic, seeing, healing, is about being able to say hello. To the bum, the drug addict, to the woman who annoys us, to all of it. For those energies are mirrors of the parts of yourself you would deny.

To truly be a good leader, one must love people, and to love people, you must be able to say hello to everyone you meet.

I’ve been reading this great book. It reminds me of what I do on the daily. I call myself a Clairvoyant, but I guess I’m actually a witch waker.

The same themes are happening with my clients and women who find me.

It goes something like this…

  • They’re having spiritual experiences
  • Crazy dreams
  • Receiving messages from the dead
  • Seeing shadows out of the corner of their eyes
  • Opening to their healing abilities
  • Having an increased desire to serve

However, these parts of ourselves often never got validated when we were young, and for many of us, they still don’t receive the validation we require to nurture a new part of us.

Start talking about angels, white light, Reiki or mediumship courses in some circles and they’ll think you’re weird. More than that, they’ll actually think you might be crazy.

Here we go again.

We women have done this before. We’ve been burned, beheaded, jailed for talking to spirits, walking in nature, healing with herbs, or knowing a little sum’n about sum’n.

Women’s power has long been feared, and I get it.

Anyone who grows life in their belly + births a human is truly badass and beyond comprehension.

However, this isn’t the 1500s anymore and well, we’re tired of those old ways. However, we’re also still traumatized, scared or at least afraid of what you might say this time around.  We see those white supremacists. They come for people of color, they come for your religion, and they come for women, too.

Regardless, what I know for sure is that the women are waking. We’re realizing our spiritual gifts. Oneness with Creator. Healing abilities. Life-giving ways.

We’re claiming that power, delineating from old paradigms + programs, we’ve outgrown them like tight clothes.

Yet, we’re tired of being looked at that way. We really don’t like being called crazy.

Ancient, deep, wise, powerful, YES, but crazy…get off it.

So, I’m part of the new wave of spiritual light workers here to wake the witches and stand firm in our power and assert that we’re allowed to take up space, speak our truth, practice our wily ways and get on with our evolution.

So, if you’re…

  • Feeling a deep yearning inside to be a healer, teacher, psychic or guide for others
  • Having a spiritual awakening
  • Gaining new gifts
  • Ready to embrace those gifts + hone them
  • Desiring to start a spiritual biz but don’t know how
  • Being met with invalidation from others + would like to find other like-minded souls
  • Ready to invest in your future and make a drastic change to create the life you’re dreaming of
Visit here + book a free call with me: http://theboulderpsychic.com/YES!

You’re not alone. You’re not crazy. There are others like you. The world hasn’t all gone mad. Join me.
