During The Month of November, the monkey students were able to know their new teachers Ms.Emily & Ms.Ivy.  We focused on structuring their day.  We also spent the month coming up with creative ways to enhance their fine motor skills such as painting and coloring.  We started dancing more and incorporating instructions with the movements to practice simple gross motor skills.  This also helps to practice their listening skills.  We are quickly learning our monkeys are very creative and natural born dancers!  Since all of our students are different we make sure to tailor our lesson plans to accommodate each of their learning needs.   We cannot wait to see what December has in store for us!  Check back next month to see all of our progress!

Welcome to the Cheetah Blog!  Our cheetahs are learning all about buildings this month.  They’ve learned that buildings come in different shapes, sizes, and what materials are used to build them.  The students also learned about the people who construct buildings and the kinds of tools they use.  The class will be creating three-dimensional shapes to depict the story of the Three Little Pigs.   They will make a house out of popsicle sticks to represent the house of sticks, drinking straws will be used to create the house of straw or hay, and finally, we will use toilet paper rolls and tiles to make a house out of bricks.  The children will also be learning about the meaning of being thankful and the celebration of Thanksgiving later on this week.  They will be learning about the different foods we eat traditionally at this time of the year.  We will be using what we learn about each other to compare and contrast the different traditions within our classroom.  Take a look at all the work we do in class.

Students, parents, and staff all had a howling good time at our first family involvement day of the season. Students and parents worked together to make foam crafts, paint pumpkins, and decorate cake pops. They enjoyed getting tattoos, their faces painted, dancing and posing for pictures. Everybody is looking forward to our Family Feast the day before Thanksgiving.
