By now, you’ve probably heard about how beneficial drinking tea is to your health and of course, you know how beneficial CBD is as well. Tea is much more than just a hot beverage. Certain teas can have major health benefits to the body and mind. CBD Living has CBD loose leaf teas that combine the healthy aspects of tea with the awesome benefits of CBD. First, let’s get to know what tea can actually do for you. According to a Berkley Health study, drinking tea can help with several conditions such as heart health, cancer, bone health and even dental health. So, what is in tea that makes them healthy? It’s a phytochemical called polyphenol. Polyphenols are responsible for the antioxidant quality of tea. Antioxidants are what fights free radical damage in the body, helping control the signs of aging as well. Antioxidants have been widely studied in what benefits they have to do the system including helping with diabetes, skin health, Osteoporosis and other conditions such as cancer. The great thing about getting these antioxidants from tea is that it’s easy and delicious. Herbs are a fantastic way to get health benefits as well. Ingredients in teas such as honeybush and calendula have been used in teas for centuries due to health benefits such as reduction in symptoms of menopause, reduction of blood sugar levels, benefits to the skin and reduction in inflammation in the body. Green tea is a wonderful and tasty way to get antioxidant benefits. Marigold, or calendula, is wonderful for many skin conditions, known for digestive help and passion fruit is a great addition to any tea for reducing anxiety and adding a fruity flavor to beverages. Turmeric is something I take daily for inflammation and it’s also fantastic for lowering cholesterol and boosting brain function. Safflower is a common addition in many natural skin products because of its anti-inflammatory properties for the skin and reduction in redness. The three teas I tried are:   Mango Herbal: Organic Honeybush Organic Calendula Petal Organic Dried Peach Organic Mango Extract Proprietary Full Spectrum Nano Hemp Extract (aerial parts) 150 MG (Cannabidol / CBD) Passion Green: Organic Sencha Green Tea Organic Marigold Petals Organic Passion Fruit Extract Proprietary Full Spectrum Nano Hemp Extract (aerial parts) 150 MG (Cannabidiol / CBD) Chai Turmeric: Organic Honeybush Organic Turmeric Organic Ginger Organic Cinnamon Chips Organic Orange Peel Organic Peppercorn Organic Safflower Proprietary Full Spectrum Nano Hemp Extract (aerial parts) 150 MG (Cannabidiol / CBD) The Mango Herbal is a bright, fruity tea. This is made with honeybush, mango, peach and calendula. I tried all these teas both hot and cold and this is a fantastic tea over ice. It’s naturally and slightly sweet, refreshing and crisp, a perfect tea for summer. With added CBD, you’ll not be getting a healthy and delicious tea, but you’ll be getting your CBD too. The Passion Green has a lovely green tea flavor with a fruity addition of passion fruit. Its subtle green flavor is a perfect tea, hot or cold, and gives you 7.5MG of CBD per cup. With the addition of marigold and passion fruit, you’ll get the health benefits of green with added health benefits of passion and marigold. Chai tea is definitely a favorite flavor of mine. I have been a chai tea drinker since I was in high school and I love the warm, spicy flavor of chai tea. This Chai Turmeric tea, with cinnamon, ginger and orange, is delightfully spicy and turmeric gives it a fantastic health boost. None of these teas are bitter at all and all the lovely flavors within came through perfectly. They are all perfect for starting your day with flavor and CBD or unwinding at the end of night. Each jar gives you about 20 servings, 150mg total of CBD or 7.5mg per cup. I found it super easy to make a perfect cup. About a teaspoon makes a perfect 8 ounce cup and use more for larger mugs or bottles. Want a quick overnight iced tea? Get a reusable beverage bottle (mine is 32 ounces) and add a tablespoon of loose tea to an individual tea brewer or bag (or use a coffee filter cut to size and tied off with cotton string). Fill with filtered water and put in the fridge overnight. Wake up to perfectly brewed tea and sip throughout the day. I make my tea “iced” like this all the time and if you put it in a thermal bottle, it will stay cold all day. Another tip: Make your tea, let it cool and pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Drop these “tea-cubes” into your tea in the morning for a chilled, iced tea that doesn’t get watered down. If you are a tea drinker already or want to become one, you got to try these teas. CBD Living also has a Berry Black, Coconut Herbal and a Matcha Instant Green, so there’s something for everyone. Each jar is $30, but way worth the price. For a really great tea with CBD, this is absolutely worth the cost. I love that there are so many different ways to get CBD and especially love they are easy and delicious such as these teas. Check them out at CBDLiving.com Stay tuned for a upcoming vape juice review from CBD Living as well in some amazing flavors and maybe even a CBD Living giveaway!

Marijuana is a name given to the dried form of flowers, buds, and leaves of the cannabis sativa plant. This greenish-grey mixture of the plant also goes by terms ranging from weed, herb, grass, hash, and ganja. Although the benefits of marijuana are popular around the world for centuries, the specifics of them have been getting popular amongst the medical world with the conclusion of a wide array of scientific studies, especially after the discovery of the compounds found in it called CBD and THC.   Marijuana falls under the classification of a Schedule 1 substance under the Controlled Substances Act 1970, thereby posing it as a potential for abuse and harm. However, the States in the US place their belief in its medical use in their individual capacity. As many as 33 States of the US, District of Columbia, and four out of five permanently inhabited US territories endorse medical marijuana.     A study conducted by a vastly popular journal Drug and Alcohol Review gave a comprehensive image of the impression medical marijuana generates over the patients. A whopping 92% of the participants gave their verdict in favor of the ability of marijuana to help in the recovery from serious ailments and diseases. It is also noticeable that about one in twenty people in the State of California has been using it over the years to fight against grave injuries. The reason behind the effectiveness of medical marijuana Medical marijuana reacts with your endocannabinoid system (ECS) similar to the natural processed do in our body. ECS is a biological system involved in regulating physiological processes such as movement, memory, appetite, and pain. Marijuana consists of compounds known as cannabinoids, which is responsible for interaction with the receptors of the ECS in the body, known as CB1 and CB2. The former is found in the brain, the nervous system, and organs like kidneys, lungs, and eyes. CB2, on the other hand, are found in the tissues that play the role of strengthening the immune system, such as white blood cells, tonsils, spleen, and bone marrow.   Cannabinoids present in the medical marijuana thus help patients tackle a wide range of illnesses efficiently, including epilepsy, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), glaucoma, autism, multiple sclerosis, among a number of others. Hence, physicians and doctors are in favor of marijuana’s use for medical treatments alike.   One of the popularly known substances containing high-quality weed concentrate is Shatter, which can be beneficial in the treatment of a range of diseases. Side-effects Profile Almost all medical prescriptions that you come across or are advised to be had generally contain elements that are harmful to health. Some tend to have egregious side-effects on the body as well. This is where medical marijuana differs. It has the capability to provide treatments for a variety of ailments with the side-effects being way lesser than those of the prescription drugs. Despite the fact that marijuana is one of the most illegally sold drugs in the world, there is no recorded instance where anyone has died due to its overdose. According to DEA Chief Administrative Law Judge, Francis Young, as quoted by an article, marijuana is a highly safe substance as far as its consumption is concerned. He also stated that marijuana is one of the safest and most effective therapeutic substances known to mankind.     However useful medical marijuana is, it does come with its own share of light side-effects despite being a preferred option over prescription drugs. Some of these include uneasiness, thirst, red eyes, sleeplessness, and drowsiness. There is also an apparent effect on the cognitive strength of the mind over a long period of use. In order to avoid these, it is thus highly advisable for the patients to get proper consultation from their doctors and avoid high usage of marijuana. Controlled use and proper dosage can turn out to be a boon for the improvement of the condition of the patient. Protective and healing in nature Marijuana consists mainly of 2 compounds – THC and CBD. While THC is responsible for giving a sense of high, CBD provides a number of healing benefits to the body. As per the findings of a study, CBD can also be highly helpful in the treatment of anorexia, chronic pain, neuropathic pain, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disorders.   There are also growing studies that are supporting the idea that medical marijuana has the ability to curb the growth of cancer cells and even kill the existing ones. A study suggests that marijuana can have dramatically positive effects on the patients of brain cancer as well. THC and CBD in isolation THC demonstrates properties ranging from analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-emetic. CBD possesses properties that are anti-seizure, antipsychotic, and anti-anxiety in nature. These compounds work best for the body when they are administered together. Isolating them or producing them in the lab takes away their ability to function well for the body and lessens the therapeutic effects of these significantly. An article also suggests that THC and CBD play the role of balancing each other. CBD can be highly useful to tackle the effects of THC in the cases when a high dosage of marijuana is medically preferred by the doctors during the process of treatment.   Provides treatment for nausea Marinol, also called dronabinol, is a substance introduced around the middle of the 1980s. It is a pure and synthetic form of THC, the role of which is to curb the instances of vomiting and nausea that arise during the treatment of HIV/AIDS.   The presence of THC in the substance gives a sensation of euphoria to the patients and enhances sensation. Hence, medical marijuana provides patients with an effective solution to these ailments.   Medical marijuana has come a long way over the course of the year. From being completely looked down upon, to the present days when its use is celebrated, the medical world has slowly embraced its usage. However, it is also highly necessary that the consumption of marijuana remains at reasonable levels. Getting a prescription from your doctor and using it judiciously shall help you reap all the benefits and avoid all the adverse reactions of marijuana at the same time. It is difficult to know exactly how many people suffer from autism around the world. This is because some people have it mildly and are not even registered as being autistic. However, the National Autistic Society estimate that in the UK, more than 1 in 100 people suffer from Autistic Spectrum Disorder (or ASD), that’s over 700,000 people. ASD affects people across all races and cultural backgrounds (although it is slightly more common in men than it is in women) and affects the way that you understand and interact with the outside world. Some people who suffer from ASD mildly, might report difficulty in communicating what they want to say and how they feel, as well as have difficulty interpreting what other people say and do, but for severe sufferers, ASD can be life inhibiting, drastically affect how they can interact with other people, and, for some, even impede their ability to talk. ASD usually develops during childhood and is a neurodevelopmental condition which often involves compulsive and repetitive behaviour. We still don’t know what causes the development of ASD, with scientists believing that it is probably a mixture of genetic and environmental factors. This does mean, however, that there is still no cure for ASD, and any treatment that is given is mainly to treat its symptoms. ASD and Epilepsy There is a strong link between ASD and epilepsy. In fact, research shows that about 32% of people who suffer from epilepsy are also on the autistic spectrum, and likewise, 20-30% of children on the autistic spectrum develop epilepsy. Like ASD, epilepsy is also on a spectrum, and is a neurologic condition where nerves in the brain can fire abnormally, often resulting in a seizure. There are over 40 different types of seizure, which can happen at any time, day or night – even when people are asleep, and therefore potentially putting people with the condition into life threatening positions. Some people can suffer over 100 seizures every day. For people who suffer from both ASD and epilepsy, life can be very difficult, but by helping to treat the symptoms we can start to see improvements in people’s day to day living. Help for people with ASD and Epilepsy At the moment the two main treatment options for ASD are behavioural therapies such as Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Verbal Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Relationship Developmental Intervention, and treatment for some the symptoms of ASD such as epilepsy (and seizures), nausea and depression. Although behavioural therapies have been proven to be very effective, until we know more about how ASD develops and grows, it will be very difficult to actually find a cure for it. Treatment for epilepsy is focused on the reduction of severity and frequency of seizures. There are a number of things that can cause epilepsy, including a genetic disposition, trauma to the head, infections in the brain, and other conditions such as Autism, but there is little that can actually be done about preventing or curing it. How can CBD help with ASD? The cannabinoid, CBD – or Cannabidiol – is a natural compound which can be extracted from the Cannabis plant. One of the most important things about CBD for humans is that it can affect our Endocannabinoid System – the system in our bodies which keeps everything regulated and balanced. Some of the systems that the Endocannabinoid system helps to regulate, include: ·         The immune system ·         Nausea ·         Mood ·         The nervous system And so, by taking CBD, users can give their Endocannabinoid system a lift and help it to regulate itself at the optimum levels. You can find out more about what is CBD and how it works It is the compound called THC that is present in the cannabis plant, which will make you feel high, and although it does have some benefits to your health, most people try to avoid it. The law in many countries or states is also not keen that you take THC, as in a lot of places any cannabis-derived products should have less than 0.2% or 0.3% (check the local laws to confirm) for it to be legal. Taking these sorts of levels of THC won’t make you feel high at all. When CBD is taken, it affects the 5-HT1A (hydroxy tryptamine) serotonin receptor in the Endocannabinoid system[1]. Serotonin is a chemical in the body which affects mood (including anxiety and depression) and nausea and appetite{2]. Nausea and depression are two very common symptoms of autism and this is one reason why CBD can be very beneficial. CBD can also inhibit the breakdown and reuptake of Anandamide [3] – another chemical in the brain which can have antidepressant qualities. There is also plenty of evidence to show that CBD is anxiolytic[4] – meaning that it can reduce anxiety – which often comes hand in hand with low mood or depression. Whilst CBD cannot be used to treat ASD directly, it’s impact on the endocannabinoid system suggests that it can he very helpful in dealing with some of the symptoms of the condition. CBD and Epilepsy One of the most notable qualities that CBD has for humans is its apparent ability to help some people who are epileptic[5]. In fact, there are now some medicines available in some countries which use CBD to help to reduce seizures in a small number of cases. Researchers believe that CBD can help to raise the endocannabinoid tone in the brain[6], meaning that some parts of it are protected better, and this results in the reduction of seizures. It has also been suggested that CBD can have an effect of the part of the brain which is responsible for the exchange of information – known as the Hippocampus[7]. Scientists believe that it is when these exchanges are disrupted, seizures occur. So, by taking CBD it is believed that it can have ‘antiepileptic’ effects by helping to protect from these disruptions. Evidence and Research The fact that cannabis has been illegal for almost the last 100 years, has meant that there is still a relatively limited amount of research to back up the wealth of anecdotal evidence. Although we are seeing more and more research being done, there is still a long way to go to understand all of the potential that CBD and the cannabis plant has. There are, however, many cases of people who claim that CBD and other cannabis-derived products have and do help them to control their or a family member’s epilepsy and it seems that it is bringing relief to some of the symptoms suffered by people with the two conditions, helping to improve their lives. Despite all of this anecdotal evidence, however, it is absolutely vital that if you are an epileptic, suffering from ASD, or both, you don’t stop taking your medication, and if you feel like you want to try CBD, that you speak to your doctor first. CBD can impact how effectively some medicines work, by changing the performance of the liver’s enzymes. So, if you are thinking of trying CBD, or are taking CBD and your doctor is going to prescribe you something else, you must make them aware. It won’t necessarily mean that you can’t take CBD, just that you might need to adjust your dose quantities or be more aware of how you are feeling. Studies around the world, but especially in Israel and the USA are quickly gathering information about the potential of CBD for people with ASD and epileptics, ensuring that it can be as safe and effective as possible and helping the authorities to be able to properly regulate it. By dealing with the symptoms, we are not getting to the route of the problem as yet, but we will at least be able to help people to live easier and better lives reducing the impact of their condition on their quality of life. Most people have heard of CBD by now, but lots of people who are curious about it don’t know where to begin with so many products on offer. There are various formulations of CBD on the market and all kinds of unfamiliar terms being thrown about. Let’s get back to basics. This article will briefly go over what CBD is, what it can and can’t do, and how to pick your first products. What is CBD? CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the many compounds found in the cannabis plant. These substances are collectively known as cannabinoids and they mediate all of the effects that cannabis has on the human body. You’ve probably noticed the rapid and seismic shift in attitudes towards cannabis throughout North America. The medical potential of the plant is now beyond any doubt and is backed up by solid science. If you need further proof of the medical potential of cannabis, you need only look at the money that big pharma is now pouring into research into cannabinoids, both natural and synthetic. Does it Get You High? No. CBD does have some effects on the brain, but it doesn’t cause intoxication or any recreational effects. THC is responsible for the classic stoned feeling that is associated with the marijuana high. CBD products contain only trace amounts of THC, so you would need to consume an unreasonable amount in order to produce a noticeable psychoactive effect. Is it Legal? Yes, mostly, but you need to check your state laws. There are three states where all preparation of cannabis are banned (South Dakota, Nebraska and Idaho). However, in Nebraska, first possession offenses for small amounts have been decriminalized since the 70s. In these three states, you could be charged with possession of marijuana for having CBD. In practice, things might be different. Outside of those three states, you are good to go. However, you should always check as the laws are regularly changing. What’s the Right Product for Me? It depends what you’re using it for! There are loads of claims made about the potential uses of CBD. The science is a little more cautious, but everyone agrees that CBD has huge potential. Not only that, but it is very safe to use with no known overdose level, few, if any, interactions with other medications, and an excellent safety profile. It is therefore usually harmless to try and treat a condition with CBD. You should always still consult your doctor. The different products represent different delivery systems rather than different effects. You need to choose the one that is best for you. Have a look around at different online retailers to see what’s available. You will find a good selection at SabaiDee, for example. The easiest way of getting started with CBD is vaping. You can vape CBD oil if you have the right vape setup, and there are other liquid CBD preparations designed for different vapes. If you live in a recreational marijuana state, you probably already know the drill. You can treat CBD products like regular weed products in terms of the onset of effects, the duration etc. Edibles will last the longest, and vaping will have a short duration. Tolerance to CBD may be more complex than with THC. That’s an area of research yet to really be explored. Once you find a dose and a product that works for you, you should stick to it. Check out the selection of products available online and think about where and how you want to use your CBD. That’s the main consideration – you want something that’s convenient and simple to use. According to Autism Speaks, approximately 1 in 59 children are diagnosed with a form of autism and this is a disorder that’s become an integral part of mental health research. With more and more data coming out on underlying causes, symptoms, and what’s required to reduce day-to-day issues, the entrance of CBD into the discussion has been noted. CBD provides a long list of advantages for managing autism-related symptoms and chronic pain. Here is a detailed look at some of the key benefits associated with CBD and why it should be a part of the treatment regimen used to handle autism and/or chronic pain.   Benefits of CBD for Autism and Chronic Pain 1) Calming The main advantage comes from feeling relaxed as soon as CBD is introduced into your treatment regimen. With autism, a lot of the issues tend to do with pent up energy and not being able to concentrate as much as one would want to. This is where the assistance of a soothing compound such as CBD can make a substantial amount of difference. It’s one of the finer ways to gain control of your body and make sure everything is controlled. Along with being able to calm down one’s physical self, it also has a tremendous impact on the psychological side of things. The mind is also going to feel relaxed and this goes a long way in feeling better about one’s routine. 2) Reduces Seizures Autism is renowned for leading to seizures and it’s important to make sure appropriate changes are made. This is where high-quality CBD oil is able to step in and make a noteworthy difference in one’s life. The reduction in seizures will ensure a person is able to lead a better quality of life without feeling restricted by their disorder. This has to do with how the CBD interacts with your body over the short and long-term. When the CBD enters the body, it is able to ease everything and ensure seizures aren’t happening all the time at random parts of the day. 3) Eliminates Pain   Pain tends to linger and become a major nuisance for people. With the assistance of CBD, it’s easier to get rid of these symptoms and finally feel free to do more with your life. The CBD oil is able to target pain receptors and calm down the nerves enough to ensure the pain goes away or lessens. It is these little changes that go a long way in helping one feel good about how their body is doing.  4) Improved Sleep Individuals dealing with autism and/or chronic pain will often cite a lack of sleep as a major symptom. It’s difficult to calm down and get down to sleep without feeling uncomfortable. This is why so many people are left fatigued and simply don’t know what to do. With CBD, the issues start to go away and sleeping at night becomes easier. It’s a great way to calm down and feel good about your body as time goes on. Final Thoughts These are the benefits of CBD and what it can do for managing autism and/or chronic pain. With the appropriate use of CBD oil, it’s possible to make the most of this compound and what it has to offer. By doing this, the subtle changes will go a long way and will ensure everything is heading in the right direction. Managing symptoms is all about adjusting along the way and CBD is able to provide the kind of relief necessary to improve a person’s quality of life. This alone makes it a useful addition to the treatment regimen when it’s time to feel better.   Written by: Guest blogger, Joshua Gallo of http://healthbizdecoded.com/

Breast cancer is a common type of cancer that affects mostly women at some point in their lives. According to reports by the World Health Organization, thousands of lives are lost to breast cancer every year. At least one woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes, and at least one woman succumbs to breast cancer every thirteen minutes. While there are a handful of breast cancer treatment options including surgical, radiological, and chemical, most of them are particularly unpleasant. Also, besides being costly, some of these treatment options are linked with serious side effects including constipation, nausea, and fatigue. This is why patients are now turning to cannabis products to deal with breast cancer and minimize the chances of relapse. What is Cannabis? Cannabis, also called marijuana plants continues to receive a lot of media attention particularly because of its herbal remedies. The plant is said to contain two active compounds namely delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is said to help control pain associated with cancer better than THC. Cannabis is available in two distinct groups namely Indica and Sativa, both of which have varied effects. Indica is perfect for when you want to relax, watch a movie, or take a quick nap. On the other hand, Sativa is invigorating and pairs perfectly with physical activities. To understand the correlation between cannabis and breast cancer treatment, we should first mention how breast cancer develops. Research shows that breast cancer is caused by cancerous cells growing in the breast and rapidly spreading to surrounding parts of the body. These cells are collectively known as a malignant tumor. The fact that breast cancer is widespread in women doesn’t mean men aren’t vulnerable to the deadly disease. A recent study projected that nearly 3,000 men are at risk of developing breast cancer in 2019 alone. So, How Exactly Does Cannabis Treat Breast Cancer? As earlier mentioned, cannabis contains two main ingredients, THC and CBD. CBD is believed to have cancer-fighting properties and that’s why it is the main ingredient in most cannabis products. In a 2011 study, it was shown that CBD has the capacity to aid in the process of apoptosis and autophagy. This basically means that CBD can cause cancerous cells to self destruct and help replace dead cells with healthy ones. Recent studies have also shown THC to have cancer-fighting properties. A study by a group of Spanish scientists found that THC helps kill cancerous cells through autograph and can help minimize the size of malignant tumors. CBD Slows Down Metastasis in Cancerous Cells The main reason breast cancer is so dangerous is because of the ability of cancerous cells to grow and spread to nearby cells and tissues through a process known as metastasis. Cancerous cells may also spread to distant parts of the body, a condition doctors like to refer as stage IV or metastatic cancer. Scientists link metastatic cancer to the ID-1 gene. A 2007 study discovered that CBD can inhibit the ID-1 gene and inhibit metastasis altogether. CBD and THC Combined We’ve seen that both CBD and THC have cancer-fighting properties. But, what happens if the two are combined you may ask? Studies now reveal that combining the two cannabinoids can lead to amplified results. According to a recent study, harnessing THC and CBD is a sure way to kill breast cancer malignant cells more effectively. Although both THC and CBD have the capacity to minimize cancer development, they follow different pathways when doing so. That’s why the combination of the two therapies results to a more robust treatment especially when dealing with metastatic cancer. Can Cannabis Ease Chemotherapy Side Effects? Besides treating breast cancer, cannabis can ease the side effects associated with chemotherapy. Chemotherapy causes a host of severe side effects such as insomnia, loss of appetite, nausea, depression, constipation, fatigue, anxiety, throat sores and many more. Luckily, these side effects can be treated by cannabis mainly because of its low toxicity levels. You’ll come across lots of happy stories on the internet where survivors of breast cancer talk about how cannabis has been instrumental in their recovery process. Most of them attest to kicking chemotherapy side effects soon after they began using cannabis. Conclusion Although breast cancer is currently one of the top causes of death, it can be managed and treated through various treatment options including using cannabis. Cannabis is natural and doesn’t cause any side effects, unlike other treatment options. Patients don’t have to worry about recurrence when they use cannabis to treat breast cancer. The effectiveness of cannabis in breast cancer treatment is backed by many studies. Therefore, there is no reason for cancer patients to fear getting started with cannabis products. Anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions are hard to deal with for both the sufferer and their loved ones. It’s important to educate ourselves. It’s also important to understand that it’s okay to ask for help. You don’t have to suffer alone and there is support. Text 741-741 anytime, 24/7 to text a counselor for help. I’ve dealt with anxiety and depression practically my whole life. I thought I was broken and damaged. As I got older, I realized that getting help was a part of self-care and health care. As scary as it feels, it’s much scarier to think of living in the depths of depression forever without any relief. Reach out if you are struggling or if you know someone who is and need some help supporting them.

To hear some people talk about CBD, you would think that every one of us would be stockpiling this miracle substance. But while there is no doubt a lot of hype surrounding CBD, it does undeniably offer some health benefits for users. In fact, scientific research is rapidly confirming many of CBD’s most important purported benefits. Coupled with the growing anecdotal evidence of CBD’s benefits, this seems like a great time to be getting into the CBD market. But what exactly is CBD and does it justify the current and growing level of interest? Let’s take a look at both questions. What is CBD? Cannabidiol is one of the many substances found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, the cannabinoid that causes the recreational effects of marijuana, CBD is present in both male and female cannabis plants. The male cannabis plant, called hemp, doesn’t contain any THC and, therefore, doesn’t produce psychoactive effects when smoked. Until the end of 2018, when hemp was legalized at the federal level, CBD had to be made synthetically. Now that hemp can be legally grown across much of the United States, many previously-hesitant businesses are leaping at the opportunity to cash in on the growing interest in CBD. How Do People Make Money From CBD? There are a couple of different ways that businesses can make money from CBD. First, there is consumer retail. These are the people who sell CBD directly to the end user and they represent the end of the supply chain. These stores are supplied by wholesalers. Wholesalers, also known as distributors, buy CBD in large quantities, which affords them a substantial volume discount. If you’re curious, here’s a CBD distributor that has written a helpful article on the subject. Finally, there are businesses who grow and process the hemp, extracting CBD oil. There are also some businesses that grow hemp and sell it to other businesses to be processed into CBD. Similarly, some businesses who extract CBD oil from hemp will then sell the processed hemp for various other processes that don’t require CBD. How Big is the Market? The CBD market is currently undergoing a period of rapid growth. Even in states where marijuana is legal for recreational use, CBD is still a popular and desired product. Selling CBD online is as easy as building an online storefront, bulk ordering some CBD, and then promoting your business using the right channels. There is definitely money to be made here by successful businesses. Interest in CBD has skyrocketed in recent years, mirroring the growing acceptance of cannabis in all its forms. Growth of the market is projected to continue well into 2020, and no doubt beyond. With so many people all rushing into the market at the same time, that projected growth will be spread among a large number of businesses. It seems likely that the market will ultimately coalesce around a few big players who will then hoover up the most significant competition. However, for now, there are plenty of opportunities for individuals and independent businesses. CBD is no doubt a valuable substance with a great deal of potential. Doctors, dentists, vets, and other healthcare workers are increasingly finding that CBD can provide benefits to their patients. We are still just beginning to understand the underlying science. What we do know is that the purported benefits of CBD are increasingly proving to be true. It is inevitable that the market will eventually plateau when it reaches its maximum size. When that will be is hard to say right now, but it seems likely that we have at least a few more years.   Written by guest blogger, Jessica Peters. “Jessica Peters is a freelance writer from Melbourne who blogs about health and fitness. Summer is right around the corner and when I think of summer, I think of ocean waves, sandy beaches and fresh flavors. I was raised in Florida and have lived here most of my life. It wasn’t uncommon for me to spend my summers at Cocoa Beach watching the surfers and laying in the sand in Vero Beach. Summer flavors I love are fresh citrus, sour berries and invigorating mints and this CBD company has captured the summer flavor vibe perfectly in their CBD tinctures, vape juice and gummies. Reef CBD is a company that was hatched by three friends in California in 2018 who wanted to give people the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through CBD with amazing flavors in their products. I got the chance to try three of their flavored tinctures, a vape juice and two flavors of gummies and I have to say, these are pretty awesome.   Tinctures: Cocoa Beach- Peppermint (orange label) Cardiff- Blue Raspberry (blue label) Venice-Lemon Citrus (gold label) Soft Chew Gummies: Regular Sour Vape Juice: The Wedge: Watermelon Iced About the company quick facts: THC Free Products American grown hemp Seed to Farm 2018, Ontario, California Certificate of Analysis available on the website All lab results available on the website Affordable CBD products Tinctures:   Cocoa Beach (250MG) is the peppermint tincture and gives you a lightly sweet, mint flavor. Easy to take with fractionated coconut oil, stevia and essential oils for flavor. This will appeal to anyone who wants an invigorating flavor of mint. I love this one. I was a bit hesitant because peppermint tends to give me heartburn, but this did not. It left a fresh, minty flavor in my mouth and was easy to swallow. The Cardiff flavor is a blue raspberry and it instantly reminded me of a blue raspberry snow cone that I might get in the summer time at the beach. Sweet and fruity, it goes down easy and tastes great. The Venice flavor is a lemon citrus and if I had to choose, this would be my favorite. They are all SO good flavor-wise, but I love a fresh citrus flavor in just about anything. This has a bright, juicy citrus flavor that is tasty and easy to take. The suggested use of this 1/2 dropper or 1/2ML. I am usually used to using a much higher CBD content, but this 250MG tincture worked amazingly well. I started with that and then worked up to one full dropper and that seemed to be what I needed on regular days. This goes for all the tinctures. On days of high anxiety or pain, I would do one full dropper twice a day. For someone who is used to one full dropper, a higher MG might be right for you, but starting low for beginners is the way to go. The main thing I noticed about all the tinctures is the effectiveness. These tinctures just simply do their job! I noticed a reduction in anxiety and a general relaxed feeling after taking. They work fantastically for pain as well. I tend to wake up and go to bed with sore muscles and achy joints and these do the job, so I can actually relax and not focus on that pain all day or all night. Ingredients: Premium Hemp Seed Oil, Proprietary Blend Broad Spectrum Hemp Extract Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Flavored Essential Oils, Stevia Extract The Soft Chew Gummies:   Infused with 10mg per gummy, these 20 count gummy bottles are soft and chewy and bursting with fruit flavor. They come in regular and sour flavor and pack 200MG of CBD per bottle. They are a round, disc shape and are sweet and chewy. The sour has a slight dusting of sugar, similar to any regular sour gummy you can buy. I kept mine in the fridge because here in FL, it gets humid and candy tends to get sticky. I just popped one in my mouth and went about my day feeling less anxiety, less pain and more energy.  The best part about these? They taste so good! The sour is my favorite because I am a sour gummy fan and these pack a nice sour flavor. You may taste a slight bitter flavor after eating one of these, don’t let this turn you off, this is totally normal with CBD edibles. Terpenes are responsible for the aroma and flavor of hemp and terpenes are something you want in CBD and this flavor isn’t unpleasant, in my opinion. Ingredients: Sour: Corn syrup, sugar, water, modified corn starch, gelatin, fortifiber, less than 2% citric acid, natural flavor, canola and/or palm oil, natural colors, and confectionery glaze. Regular: Corn syrup, sugar, water, modified corn starch, gelatin, fortifiber, less than 2% citric acid, natural flavor, MCT oil, natural colors, confectionary glaze, proprietary full spectrum CBD in hemp oil 200mg The Wedge Vape Juice: Reef CBD has five flavors of vape juice and I tried one called The Wedge. It’s an icy watermelon flavor and it’s a refreshing, juicy flavor of vape juice that is perfect for all day vaping. The CBD in the one I tried was 250MG and that is typically what I use for vaping. I use tinctures, gummies, vapes and topicals, so I don’t usually need a high MG content for vaping since I like to mix my CBD and regular vape and I also use different methods. I like this vape juice flavor a lot and I honestly didn’t think I would. It’s watermelon and menthol and I am not a fan of menthol, but this is juice gives a juicy melon flavor with a crisp menthol finish and it’s yummy! Ingredients: Proprietary blend Broad spectrum hemp extract oil, vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol and natural and/or artificial flavorings. I am impressed with Reef CBD. They product great tasting, really effective products and are affordable. Both the vape juice and tinctures cost between $39.99-$99.99 depending on MG strength and the gummies are $29.99 for a bottle of 200MG gummies. They have a flavor for everyone in their products and even have apparel, I am loving the tank top and will have to add that to my wish list! Customer service is amazing! I’ve spoken to two people there and they were helpful, knowledgeable and super friendly. You can also find out more at their blog. This company and their products get a five leaf score: Lab tests available Great flavors Effective No THC USA grown hemp used in their products Great customer service Affordable prices Pesticide free If you buy from Reef CBD now, you get free shipping for a limited time so go get some now, I don’t think you’ll regret it! I’ve got another review for CBD Living products and these, just like the rest of the products I have tried, are awesome! CBD Living keeps on amazing me with great CBD products. I am so glad I have the chance to keep trying unique CBD products. I love CBD and most of all, I love having the ability to get my CBD in many ways. One CBD method may not work for everyone, so having many to choose from is great and these lotions are yet another topical form of CBD that works great. If you aren’t familiar with CBD living, go here to see my first review and learn about the company. Let’s get right down to the review! CBD Living lotions are available in unscented, lavender and eucalyptus. Each contains 250MG of CBD and have immediate bioavailability, which means you don’t have to wait for the CBD to take effect. The skin is the largest organ of the body and it’s not just there to keep everything inside! The skin is our protector from many things such as pollution, viruses, infections and more, but the skin does absorb some things we put on it. When CBD is applied topically, it gives us faster effect than a sublingual form because the skin absorbs it so quickly. Therefore, some CBD topicals can take as little as 5 minutes to feel effects whereas a tincture may take up to 40 minutes because it needs to reach the bloodstream. Bioavailability depends on the method of CBD taken and how long it takes to reach the bloodstream. I tried all three scents of lotion and they are all awesome. They come in 16oz bottles for $40 each and are made with skin loving ingredients such as aloe, jojoba oil, grape seed oil and more.  Now, I know $40 seems pricey, but a little goes a long way with these lotions and they are packed with 250MG of CBD, so you are definitely getting your monies worth. They smell like the soaps I reviewed here. The lavender lotion is a bit strong for me and smelled a bit more floral than I prefer, but it was a soft floral and may appeal to anyone who likes a relaxing, floral lotion. The eucalyptus is very subtle and not a strong eucalyptus scent, which I love. I like eucalyptus, but I didn’t think I would like it in lotion form, and I was pleasantly surprised with how light this scent was and it was also a bit energizing in the scent. The unscented is my favorite due to the fact I love adding my own essential oils to unscented lotions and I also sometimes just don’t want a scented lotion. My mother is really sensitive to fragrance and she tried this lotion and liked it quite a bit because it didn’t bother her at all. I used the lotion all over, right after a shower and it makes my skin so soft. I feel less sore all over after using it and I feel a little goes a long way. It goes on smooth, doesn’t feel sticky or greasy and dries quickly. My skin doesn’t feel overly dry and tight but moisturized just enough to feel relief. With my sensitive skin, the unscented lotion was a perfect option for me. I recommend these lotions if you are looking for a topical solution that you can use in targeted places on the body or for all over relief.   Check them out here and I would love to hear your thoughts if you’ve tried them!
