This summer, members of our community have volunteered their time to share the Gospel of our Lord to various parts of the world. So far have seen mission teams go to Mexico and Indonesia.

This week, our final mission team heads off to Kenya. They will spend the next few weeks assisting in the construction of St. Athanasius Orthodox Secondary School in the remote village of Mugeni in western Kenya. We ask that you keep them in your prayers.

Our Project Mexico team has returned home to Jacksonville safe and sound after a long day of flights yesterday. Their week may have felt short, but their memories and service will last a lifetime. Congratulations everyone for your service with Project Mexico’s first home-building week of the summer! You have built a beautiful home for a family in need and set a foundation for hope. Get plenty of rest this weekend. We look forward to hearing about your trip and sharing in the joy of your experience.

Please pray for the family and for Project Mexico’s staff and interns who have a long summer ahead of them serving the people of Mexico.
