Spoke Art and the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation are pleased to present "Timeless" a group exhibition inspired by the works of the legendary architect.

This June, Spoke Art will travel to Taliesin West in Scottsdale Arizona for the first leg in our FLW tour. Taliesin West was built in 1937 and served as the former winter residence of Mr. Wright and is the current home of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation and School of Architecture at Taliesin.

There, we will be presenting a unique exhibition within the confines of the historic setting, a unique and compelling venue if there ever was one. The exhibition will be hosted inside the Music Pavilion, opened in 1957 and the last addition to the compound before Wright's passing in 1959.

Over one dozen international artists have been commissioned to create new original works inspired by Wright's oeuvre. As a curatorial starting point, artists were requested to explore the See America posters issued in the 1930s and 1940s by the Works Project Administration. The result is a dynamic showcase of illustrated posters, all produced in a limited edition and exclusive to this exhibition.

Chuck Sperry: “You Touched The Distant Sands”

A solo show and retrospective

June 7th, 8th, & 9th 2019

Building Bridges Art Exchange, Santa Monica CA (map)

Spoke Art / Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to present “You Touched The Distant Sands” a solo exhibition by San Francisco-based screen print master Chuck Sperry.

For his upcoming solo exhibition in Los Angeles, Chuck will be taking over a massive two thousand square foot exhibition space at the prestigious Bergamot Art Center in Santa Monica. To celebrate Sperry's return to the Los Angeles area following his 2015 exhibition at the Beyond Eden Art Fair we are proud to announce the release of several new print editions on oak panel, two new editions on paper, a curated selection of rare archive works from the artist's personal collection, and brand new works on paper and canvas.

As an added bonus, attendees will be the first to see the West Coast premier of "Demeter" and "Thalia", two large scale, handwoven tapestries which were recently on view at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art.

Attendees at the opening night reception on Friday June 7th will receive the first chance to view and purchase new and archive works. To prevent people from queuing up days in advance and to discourage paid line sitters, lottery tickets will be distributed the day of. More information coming soon.

Remaining works will be made available online Thursday June 13th.
