Fire begins with a spark and we hope we can spread it by plugging amazing music. We’re all about great Japanese indie, rock, and electronic music. From the underground live houses to the event centers to the dark and dank clubs, we work to find fantastic music so we can share it, review it, and talk with the artists who created it.
THE MOLICE just started Kickstarter project!!! - YouTube
THE MOLICE are doing you a service by swinging their album “GATE” wide open. It’s music for everyone and in part, funded by everyone who’s a fan, and it sounds like a chance to attract their music to a larger world audience.
Their latest Kickstarter-funded album was a successful venture, and if you contributed, you probably already have their new CD. So kudos to you and them for producing a rocking set of songs.
“Hello Hello” digs in its heels for some downward spiral dirty grit. Songs like “Fever,” “The Ray,” and “Moving,” are rocking and rolling, and you can’t help yourself from nodding and jamming along. To be honest, if you aren’t dancing to “Moving,” there is something wrong with you. It’s so funky.
In usual mind-blowing fashion, the riffs are fantastic, sometimes longer and just jaw-droppingly good. So give “Freedom” a whirl and you’ll understand what I mean. Rinko’s voice is able to match the guitar notes in such a fashion, it brings on all the feels.
THE MOLICE also re-record some classics like “Romancer”, “Headphone,” and “Hole” which should encourage some new listeners to explore their back catalog. Also, these sound friggin’ great.
If you miss the joys of badass alt-rock, THE MOLICE keep the dream alive. GATE is another winner in my book.
It’s not too late to preorder their album or album+T-shirt bundle. Go to GoodCharamel.com and get in on it, while you can. Official street date is 10/12/2018.
Crossfaith - 'Wipeout' Official Music Video - YouTube
Crossfaith is wiling out and wiping out in their newest futuristic banger for 2018 “Wipeout.”
It looks like someone dropped Crossfaith inside the mainframe of a computer to rock out on this synth-almost-pop-sounding-track. The lyrics are a tad happy and there is a break where “Wipeout” begins to float into lighter fare. Luckily, they step back on the gas to rock it out full speed ahead.
Ever play Wipeout XL? This might not be the techno soundtrack you are accustomed to, but this song definitely zips you along.
