…And back into your bed!

The Dog Days of Summer have just begun which may explain why we have started getting quite a few calls from partners who find themselves in the “doghouse” with their significant others, so to speak.

Thankfully, so far, no one has reported that they have been banished to an actual doghouse, but everyone has shared that their relationships are suffering.

According to a Harvard University study that began in 1938, the key to [...]

“Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.”

Anne Geddes, Photographer

Dear Fellow Dads,

And yes, I am addressing you all as “Dads” as I know you all are someone special.

Our family celebrated a week early as our daughter Jordan was here.  I hope she and Brady know that spending time with them is the only gift I ever want.

So, this Sunday, I took some time to re-read all the [...]

Every month in our blogs, we try to share timely and, we hope, helpful information to improve the quality of your life.

Because we are healthcare professionals, our primary focus has been on your physical health, especially the role good sleep plays in helping you live a longer and healthier life.

Much is now known about the connection between our minds and bodies. Psychologist Elissa Epel and her colleague, Nobel Prize-winning biologist Elizabeth Blackburn’s studies have concluded [...]

We feel so lucky to have you in our sleep apnea family and truly appreciate the trust you have placed in us to help you live a healthy and joyful life.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’d like to share with you the following Irish Blessing:

May the rainbow be certain to follow [...]

Today is my birthday and, as I celebrate another revolution around the sun, I can’t help but think about how life is full of surprises.

After I sold my dental practice a number of years ago, I thought I would enjoy semi-retirement. For a while, my wife and I volunteered to deliver food to the needy living in San Francisco. It was a joy to see their faces light up at the sight of boxes [...]

We hope your holiday season was filled with celebration, love and joy. But even if it was, post holiday blues and burnout may be paying you a visit about now. Once the excitement and pace of the holiday season has passed, there can be a natural lack of energy and joyful anticipation.

Henry Thoreau tells us, “The life in us is like the water in a river. It rises, even floods, but then it recedes until [...]

Dear Friends,

Happy Holidays! Tis the season…for family time, celebrations, good food and friends, but also for too much to do in too little time.

Last year, I sent you Health magazines list of expert tips to help you relax and be your best self during the holiday season. It is such an informative list, I wanted to share it with you again.

In this time of Thanksgiving, I’m so thankful that I get to partner with you in treating your sleep apnea, or that you have reached out to me to learn more about sleep apnea and its treatment.

To show my gratitude, I decided to share the following words from the Book of Joy. Nobel Peace Laureates His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu spent a week together exploring the Nature of True Joy and [...]

Happy Halloween!

Did you know that the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain from which our present day Halloween celebration has evolved was actually a new year’s celebration?

November 1stwas the day that marked the end of summer and the harvest and beginning of winter for the area we now know as Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France.

My wife and I are grandparents to two wonderful dogs.

But, even one of them has gotten into trouble by eating a sock and needing surgery to remove it!

The second patient’s retainer ended up looking like this:

The good news is [...]
