Your child received their report card this afternoon. I wish all of you the best of luck in grade 6 next year.
I wanted to say a sincere thanks for a wonderful year. A class is only as good as the parent support and involvement and I was too lucky to have such wonderful students.
I wish you the best at PWE next year. It’s definitely hard to leave a place that for many years was progressive and tried to create incredible learning experiences for your child. I can only hope it continues on in the years to come.
For summer activities, you can always look for things to do on the Parent after school activities page. In addition to reading, Mathletics and Sumdog (both accounts will continue to be active), getting outside, Ms Hooper shared this video earlier this month for activities to do with kids. I plan on trying a few with my own children!
Tomorrow’s PWE Fun day is CANCELLED. It is rescheduled for Tuesday, June 25th. The Bouncy Castle will still be here and each student with a form signed will be able to participate. If you were thinking of volunteering, please let me know if you’re available on Tuesday.
Thank you again to our WONDERFUL parents who helped us during our year-end field trip to Baker/Bowness Park.
Please fill in and return the bouncy castle forms sent home today. Sorry for the lateness – we just got them from the office today. They are for this Friday’s Fun day – no returned form, no bouncy castle.
Tomorrow is our year end field trip to Baker Park. Please dress for the weather, bring a packed lunch, as well as sun screen/bug spray if necessary. Volunteers – please look in your email for a note from me.
Look for the June Newsletter sent out later today. It has information about your next school year.
Please find a permission form for your child’s year end activity this Wednesday, June 19th. We will require volunteers for the day so if you’re free, please let me know.
It is STAMPEDE FUN DAY this Friday. Grade 4s are organizing games for all the students at PWE. The office is asking for 2 parent volunteers to tour around with the groups from 9-11am. Please message me if you’re available.
It’s Mobile Play week at PWE. Thanks to the city of Chestermere! We have our “play dates” on Wednesday and Friday. Please bring bug spray and/or sun screen as we’ll be outside for 30-45 minutes behind the school.
Please return the yellow Theme 5 forms as we’ll start next week.
It’s twin day tomorrow. (or triplets if you find enough people)
All library books are due back this week. Ask your child about their magic trick they want to try.
All good things come to an end! Exhibition 2019 is over and the students were marvellous. We had the rest of PWE tour around this morning, along with plenty of community guests, interview participants and more. Rest up and enjoy the weekend!
Please find a yellow permission form for Theme 5. Please fill out and return to school. If you do not want your child to participate, please email me at email@example.com.
All grade 5s were told that I will be leaving PWE after this year. It’s been a pleasure to have been part of a vibrant learning community for the past 6 years.
