Rock n Roll legends Guns N’ Roses will be in South Africa for their Not In This Lifetime tour, 29 November 2018. Read more about the tour announcement below. But let’s get to the exciting news, SA Music Scene is giving away 1 x General Access Double Ticket!
Our friend InviZAble releases his brand new single ‘Mhlaba ne Zulu’ in collaboration with the one and only BCUC, it literally took a year to complete due to the heavy touring schedule of BCUC. This is something quite different for BCUC and probably the first song they can submit to radio due to it not being 15min long!
The collaboration between these two artists is possibly one of the greatest South African collaborations of 2018, with InviZAble marrying electronic beat with African rhythm and BCUC being proudly African to their core. If for some reason you haven’t been privileged to be graced by the amazing BCUC we would strongly encourage you to educate yourself on them as they’re flying the flag extremely high in Europe and other countries across the world.

Endless Daze 2018 | Final lineup announcement - YouTube
Endless Daze Festival is a small-scale, boutique outdoor festival, set by the sea at the dreamy Silwerstroom Resort; 45 minutes outside of Cape Town. Debuting in 2016, Endless Daze has fast become one of the top live music festivals in South Africa. This year’s Endless Daze promises to be another blissful journey of music, with acts coming from both local lands and afar.
Into The Wild has become one of the Cape Town festival season heavyweights by slowly growing a cult-like following, they’ve fast become known as some of the best music curators in the prog-techno & progressive trance scene.
Their branding and style have had a clear vision and mission from the launch of the Into The Wild brand, their brand has somewhat commercialized progressive trance with some of their DJ family members playing more major Cape Town club nights as well as influenced some house and techno artists to flirt with the prog genre.
‘Into the Wild: Moon Child ft. Jossie Telch, Eartheogen, Coexist’ is their opening to their festival season and many Cape Town music lovers see this event as the true outdoor festival opening event after some rather disappointing events who could have been the Cape Town outdoor festival season openers.
The team has stated that this event is a shift within their event and even boldly stated “as spring blooms giving way to new life, so shall we present a fresh experience to all you wildlings”, within the Facebook event description.
Moon Child also has a new venue called ‘Riverside Forest’, although in the opposite direction of Slayley Forest is just as close and promises to be a magical new space for expression and new friendships.
With the change of venue, they’ve also announced a new ‘Secret Stage’ with the likes of Nordic, BamBeano & more. BamBeano has always been known as an exquisite music curator and vibe creator, we cannot wait to see what ‘Into the Wild: Moon Child ft. Jossie Telch, Eartheogen, Coexist’ has to offer!
Comment below telling us why you deserve to win as well as the name of the new venue!

In 1991, the seven-time platinum Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II occupied the top two spots of the Billboard Top 200 upon release. Over the course of the past decade, Guns N’ Roses have performed sold-out shows and headlined festivals worldwide following the critically acclaimed release of 2008’s RIAA platinum-certified Chinese Democracy. Our new and only way to submit music for review or promotion, in the past we slowed down on the number of submissions received and how much content we put out, but we’re finally back and powered by SubmitHub.com.
What is it and why use it?
The goal of the website is to connect artists with music bloggers, playlisters, and record labels.
There are two types of credits on SubmitHub: “standard” and “premium.” With premium credits, you can expect to hear back from blogs within 48 hours (96 hours for labels). For a blog to respond, they will need to listen to at least 20 seconds of your song, and if they don’t like it they’ll need to explain why.
Why use SubmitHub? SubmitHub gives me the content producer and owner of SA Music Scene direct communication with you, the artist. In my personal opinion, someone who is willing to fork out some cash means business, although I’ve opted to accept “standard” and “premium” submissions.
It’s also a means of income for the blog if you opt to pay use SubmitHub.com.
By creating a system where music bloggers can actually get paid for some of their music blogging tasks, earning a little money to pay for their costs & maybe a little bit extra to put towards their staying alive expenses, SubmitHub has the very real potential to be a much-needed game changer to the music blogging world.
Where is the money going that you spend on SA Music Scene?
1) Website rebuilding, rebranding & refresh.
2) Covering website hosting costs.
3) Paying freelance music writers and tastemakers for submitting content.
4) Social Media promotions/boosts of content produced.
5) Funding SA Music Scene public branding (stickers, merch, etc).
6) Event Sponsorship.
How much money can you make through SubmitHub?
I’ve decided to use this platform that myself and others have built to be used as a platform, for any artist no matter what genre or size, therefore, I have decided that after 3months of using SubmitHub.com I will publically display how much not only money was made through the portal but also the exact amount of submissions, approvals and declines have taken place.
A blog can only earn as much as is submitted to their blog, so it’s not like there is this unlimited gravy train to hop on board; if no one sends anything to the blog, there’s no money to be made. Which, it should also be noted, makes perfect sense.
How do you as the blogger earn money?
When someone submits music to my blog, they have two methods for doing so: Standard credits or Premium credits. Standard credits are free, but Premium credits cost money – the majority of which goes to me, the blogger!
When I receive a premium credit, there’s also a $0.50 symbol on the side. To claim my money, I have to accomplish the following:
– Respond within 48 hours
– Listen to at least 20 seconds
– Either approve, or provide at least 10 words of feedback if you choose to decline
Note that when I approve a song, there’s a little button that comes up to “mark as shared.” When you do so, the money from the “pending” box will move over to your available cashout balance.
What types of releases will SA Music Scene feature?
SA Music Scene will give preference to all South African music firstly no matter the genre, thereafter I’ll also identify submissions that might be relevant to the South African current music industry or a track or artist I feel the South African community should know about.
Does this mean you can pay for a feature?
Yes and no, basically it’s up to me if my sharing can be bought and pushing out more content devalues me/my blog as a tastemaker and therefore I would refrain of accepting too much music.
Can I submit via email or other means?
No, due to the lack of time and big demand for features I’ve decided that I will ONLY be accepting new music submissions via SubmitHub.com, no matter how big you/your group is and no matter how long I’ve been dealing with your manager or PR person new music will only be accepted via SubmitHub.com tour and other PR elements can be submitted to me via email – email@example.com
