Uranus in Aries opposite Pallas Rx in Libra (29 deg)
Uranus makes the second of two oppositions to Pallas in Libra. The first occurred on February 7th:
“Uranus…opposite Pallas does suggest that liberating moves will trigger some imbalances. Pallas in Libra’s polite social strategies will be upended, or even abruptly abandoned.
Note that this opposition (a culmination) takes places at 29 degrees (the final degree). This strongly points to the end of a social issue - you may be liberated or surprised, but either way there’s no going back.”
With today’s repeat of this aspect (due to Pallas’ Rx) you’re not exactly going back, but you are reviewing the ending. Does someone need an extra push? Do you need to reconsider your finishing strategy? Sometimes a Uranus aspect occurs twice because someone is unwilling to accept change.
Pallas Rx indicates that certain aspects of a social/relationship situation are not quite complete. There may be a couple of loose ends to ties up, or a slightly different angle is needed as you approach (or say goodbye to) someone.
Consider this as a chance to get it right. But be prepared for someone (even you) to feel that what’s happening is not nice. Libra does not enjoy being jolted and Uranus in Aries has no patience for the social game.
Mercury in Pisces sextile Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)
Mercury/Neptune is the first of three conjunctions, due to Mercury’s upcoming Rx (see this post for dates and degrees).
Neptune can expand Mercury’s information (more is possible) but it can also undermine and blur the facts. You may “see” something extra or think you have the whole story, but know that what you learn today is only the beginning. You’ll be revisiting this issue until April - facts will morph and what’s true or false will not be clear.
For now, remain open to what you learn. It’s important, even if you don’t know if it’s real. Consider it to be the first layer of a more complex issue. And, know that Mercury’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile means that a sacrifice will be put into words. Not a huge sacrifice, mind you. But an acceptance of a certain reality (Saturn) that involves quiet understanding and release.
If you can maintain your focus (Saturn) on the higher goal (what’s most important, what you’re trying to accomplish) rather than trying to define or understand everything right away, you’ll find this influence easier to deal with. Allow the shifting details to flow around you and keep your eye on the end game. Accept what you can’t understand and what you have to give up in order to manifest what’s important to you.
The Sun enters Pisces this evening (February 18th) at 6:03 pm EST. This is the season where nothing is defined and everything (or nothing) is possible. It all depends on how you work with the energy of transcendence, allowance, release and spirituality.
Pisces is an expansive influence because boundaries are dissolved. But it’s often difficult to place any values on what expands because this is not about material gain. More is possible, but only if you release control and expectations. This is very much about going with the flow and trusting that it will take you to the perfect place at the perfect time.
This energy can be soothing or confusing, healing or undermining. As the last sign, endings can occur as situations gently but relentlessly dissolve. You simply cannot hold onto what’s fading away. But if you remain open, something new can flow in just as easily.
This year, expansion is boosted thanks to a square from Jupiter in Sag. This is the “no limits” aspect, but we always have to use to caution with hard aspects to Jupiter - there will be exaggeration or overestimation.
Continuing yesterday’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile, Venus conjunct Saturn defines what you have and what you can’t have. Here is the reality of a commitment, restriction or responsibility involving relationships, finances, self-esteem or values. Saturn makes it real and (in combination with Neptune) can also define what you have to give up in order to get what you want. Or, perhaps what you have to give up, period.
Venus/Saturn is the dividing line - the new beginning that separates past from present. This is permanent and official. Make it so.
Chiron into Aries
Chiron returns to Aries for the long haul (it won’t be completely done with this sign until April 2027). For details and dates on this transit, check this post.
Chiron’s return will reactivate issues from its first Aries ingress (April 17th, 2018) but now you’ll be pressing forward with the battle. There’s no turning back. Are you ready to fight with vulnerability as your banner? It’s interesting that the Venus/Saturn conjunction happens on this same day because it really does emphasize that hard line between past and present.
But we also have the Sun’s Pisces ingress today, so there’s a reminder that compassion and forgiveness are important. Be gentle with yourself, even as you step into the fray.
Pallas reaches the final degree of Venus-ruled Libra, then she stations Rx. The social or relationship strategy that you thought was complete needs a review. You’ll have to rethink how you relate to others, and the connection to Venus/Saturn is important - there’s a clear reality or rule that means you have to reassess your approach.
Pallas will station direct on May 30th (10 deg Libra) and will exit Libra for Scorpio on August 26th.
February 18th brings Chiron’s second entrance into Aries. Chiron previously entered Aries on April 17th, 2018 so issues from that time will be reactivated. As I wrote in this post:
“You may have to fight, even though it hurts. You may have to be the first one out of the gate, even though you don't think you're strong enough or fast enough. You may have to confront your lack of courage, lack of motivation, lack of initiative. This will be a pushy transit - you'll be pushed to do what feels uncomfortable. You could be pushed to fight for yourself or others, because of a vulnerability that you feel most keenly.”
The Sun’s Pisces ingress on February 18th emphasizes the energy of compassion, allowance and release. This is about accepting what hurts and having the courage to be vulnerable.
The February 19th Full Moon in Virgo trines Mars in Taurus, which will power up practical, solid results. However, Mercury (ruler of this Moon) activates the Saturn/Neptune sextile (from January 31st) on the same day. This means:
“An opposition (the Full Moon) along the Virgo/Pisces axis does strongly resonate with sacrifice. When the rulers of each end of an opposition conjoin, you have a chance to find that balance point….The unification of practicality and compassion. But there will probably be a sacrifice connected to that Jan 31st issue- an awareness of the details (Mercury) of what you need to give up…
Mercury/Neptune is always a bit tricky - you cannot completely trust this info because Neptune blurs the details. And, this is the first of three conjunctions Mercury will make to Neptune due to its upcoming Rx (see this post for dates and degrees). So what the light of this Full Moon reveals is only the start. It will be real, but this result will not be final - more details will emerge as the information shifts.”
Keep the above in mind on February 22nd when Mercury goes on to square Jupiter in Sagittarius (the first of three squares). This can bring big expectations as your concept of what’s possible is dramatically expanded. While there is room for optimism, know that much of what you learn (or say) will be exaggerated.
The Venus/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on this same day makes a sextile to Mercury. Pluto intensifies relationship, financial and self-esteem issues. Value is increased, desire is amplified and the excavation of more/better is suggested. So what you want or are hoping for will be profoundly important. And, there’s something real here. Just go slow and understand that the process will take a couple of months to finalize.

It’s time to step out of your comfort zone.

Information and beliefs involving travel, education, foreign matters, legal matters or publishing will evolve over the next couple of months, and the concept of sacrifice for an ideal may come up. This will be related to issues from January 31st.

Mercury in your sector of routine activating the Saturn/Neptune sextile triggers issues from January 31st - an awareness of what must be given up via your obligations to another or yourself. Too, this could be about an emerging diagnosis or error, although the details will shift over the next couple of months. This is not the final word on what must be fixed or what your responsibilities are.
As Mercury squares Jupiter in your communication sector, be wary of making big promises about what you can do. Your intentions may be good but your perception of what can be accomplished will exceed reality. Venus/Pluto in your domestic sector sextile Mercury suggests you’ll be focusing on a home/family issue that is most precious to you - a profound expression of love or desire to intensify your security. Consider what you’re willing to do to get what you want and make sure you’re not undermining yourself.

Waxing Inconjunct between the Cancer Moon and Aquarius Sun (28 deg)
Venus in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces (15 deg)
The Waxing Inconjunct presents a difficult adjustment between objective Aquarius and subjective Cancer. Emotions will interfere with detachment, disrupting a cool vibe. But the messy, uncomfortable mood should not be ignored - pay attention to where you’re vulnerable or insecure. These awkward feelings need to be attended to (before you can move forward). If you can still maintain a bit of objectivity, even better.
Venus activates the first part of the Saturn/Neptune sextile. She will conjoin Saturn tomorrow, but today is a gentle reminder that there’s more to what you want than rules, status or work. Remembering that Saturn/Neptune is about making a small sacrifice in order to manifest (Saturn) a dream (Neptune) today’s aspect can gently widen your awareness. Tune into the compassionate or spiritual undertones in a material issue or formal commitment.
Moon in Cancer opposite Venus in Capricorn (14 deg)
Moon in Cancer trine Neptune in Pisces (15 deg)
Moon in Cancer opposite Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)
Moon in Cancer opposite Pluto in Capricorn (22 deg)
The Cancer Moon makes some difficult oppositions today. Moon/Venus is not so bad - the need for security/hugs may be emphasized but not quite met because the desire for status/control runs counter to what’s needed. But the opposition to Saturn and Pluto can be quite tense, as restrictions suggest you won’t get what you need but there will be a dramatic intensification of those needs.
Pluto opposite the Moon suggests a fear of loss - the powerful surge that threatens to sweep away what you’ve been clinging to. But the opposition to Saturn says that you need to be self-sufficient. At this point in time, you are the only one who can provide for yourself. Note that Moon/Saturn is a strong parental signature; watch for Mother/Father issues to pop up.
The mood may swing from profoundly needy to hurt and helpless if you give others power over your feelings. Something bigger than you may indeed trigger a loss (or fear of loss) - focus on your inner security and self-care rather than fighting what you can’t control.
The Moon does make a couple of smooth trines. Moon/Mercury helps you put needs into words - the formless sense is given a voice. Identify what makes you feel safe, then allow it to expand as Moon/Neptune reminds you that it’s not personal. Yes, Neptune is transpersonal and while it can increase sensitivity, if you tune into the undercurrent you’ll realize that there’s something more/bigger out there. Maybe others feel as you do, or perhaps you can look beyond your immediate situation and see that the universe/higher power/bigger picture/glass of wine…whatever…reminds you to take a step back and release.
