A First Quarter Square between the Virgo Moon and Gemini Sun (1 deg) presents conflict between solutions versus fluctuating possibilities. You may want to keep looking for more choices or input, but it's time to focus on what you already know. You may already have a sense of what's correct, and the struggle to narrow things down to this one fact can feel cumbersome, and a bit dull. But at the same time, it feels a bit uncomfortable to keep looking for new answers.
You've found your solution - it's time to implement it.
Pallas (strategies, wisdom, seeing patterns) enters Cancer on May 21st. Cancer's protectiveness and empathy (towards family and loved ones) mix with Pallas' wisdom and concern with justice (Pallas is named after Pallas Athena, the warrior goddess of wisdom). Patterns are based on what feels safe and looks comfortable, BUT, this can also be a time when you see a family pattern of abuse or addiction or any negative inheritance. Pallas connects the dots and she can do so creatively (home decorating, home business) or on a deeper level.
Home, family and mother/child issues become the focus for strategies. This is a good transit if you need to dig into the past, tackle a family problem or figure out the best way to cook for/nurture others. Excellent for family counselling. Intuition is heightened - if you're stuck, pay attention to your gut.
Pallas will exit Cancer for Leo on July 11th, 2018.
The Sun enters Gemini on May 20th (10:14 PM EDT). This is the season of choices, information and duality. Ideas will shift and new angles will be revealed. There's always something else to consider with Gemini.
Details can multiply quickly - this is not the time to dwell on one thing. Gemini energy is quick, witty and light; these attributes are necessary if you want to absorb what's new without getting bogged down in what's unpleasant. Not to invalidate serious issues of course, but the core of Gemini's talent lies in the ability to touch on everything. Depth is sacrificed for variety and breadth, but sometimes you have to pick up the pace in order to arrive at the information that's right for you.
Duality is also key. Questions are a crucial Gemini factor, so there could be more of "What about the other side to this story?" This can be annoying, but it's essential if you want to get the full picture. Life is rarely black and white, and Gemini knows this. Asking the question does not invalidate the original issue.
Duality can also have some not-so-pleasant manifestations. Gemini can be the trickster and the liar. It's a fine line between trusting and enjoying the moment versus wondering if this moment is too good to be true. Be smart and look at all the information. Ask the questions, then make an informed choice.
Here are the aspects the Sun will make:
May 22nd: sextile Chiron (1 deg Aries)
May 23rd: trine Mars (2 deg Aquarius)
May 24th: inconjunct Vesta (3 deg Capricorn)
May 28th: trine the South Node (7 deg Aquarius)
May 29th: inconjunct Saturn Rx (7 deg Capricorn)
May 29th: Full Moon (8 deg Sagittarius)
June 5th: inconjunct Jupiter Rx (15 deg Scorpio)
June 5th: conjunct Mercury (15 deg)
June 7th: square Neptune (16 deg Pisces)
June 11th: inconjunct Pluto Rx (20 deg Capricorn)
June 12th: sextile Juno (21 deg Aries)
June 13th: New Moon (22 deg Gemini)
June 15th: inconjunct Black Moon Lilith (24 deg Capricorn)
June 16th: sextile Ceres (25 deg Leo)
June 19th: opposite Vesta (28 deg Sagittarius)
June 21st: Cancer ingress
June 5th superior conjunction to Mercury and inconjunct to Jupiter. In the Sun/Mercury cycle, this is a "Full Moon" phase. It marks a result connected to the last Sun/Mercury conjunction (April 1st when Mercury was Rx in Aries). This conjunction suggests an illumination of key details or choices, but the tense aspect to Jupiter suggests discord between these details versus the enthusiastic exposure of deep truths. There needs to be an adjustment between depth and flexibility, illumination and secrets.
Ultimately, there's an important truth here, but the key will be seeing it for what it is, without exaggeration. Jupiter is Rx, so there is an intensive focus on one matter. But that focus can result in tunnel vision that interferes with what you're hearing or seeing.
May 23rd sees an opposition between Mercury (communication, details) in Taurus and Jupiter (ideals, the big picture) Rx in Scorpio. Normally, this opposition would result in exaggerated thoughts/words, but Jupiter’s Rx motion is working to narrow the field of expansion. So there may be an intensive focus that leads to a big answer/understanding. However, there is still a risk of losing sight of the immediate facts if you don’t maintain your focus. Mercury will go on to trine Pluto Rx on May 25th, which can confirm and intensify the above results. Overall, these energies suggest a positive conclusion with significant weight.
Also on May 23rd, the Gemini Sun (ruled by Mercury) trines Mars in Aquarius, increasing Gemini’s already fast-paced approach to information. Actions will focus on what’s new, and there’s a logical, detached feel to this. Great for powering forward with facts, words and introductions. Combined with the Mercury/Jupiter opposition, this could be the day to hit others with your thoughts, in a big way. Or, move ahead with what you've learned.
Dreams and Reality
May 25th brings the second of three trines between Jupiter Rx and Neptune. Jupiter’s intensified focus (or adjustment of growth) will chime with Neptune’s dreams (or fantasies), and the result will be expansion with no limits. Something can slide forward effortlessly, but it’s up to you if this is healthy or not. This is an enabler - you can create, let go or slide into an addiction.
May 26th brings a reality check to balance out the Jupiter/Neptune dream. Venus in Cancer opposes Saturn Rx, which is a result with significant responsibilities. Even if you do achieve something desired, you'll be well aware of what's missing.
“…an ending or result that hi-lights what you can't have, while encouraging you to look after yourself. You're responsible (Saturn) for what makes you happy. In some cases, this can illustrate a heavy commitment (marriage) with restrictions. There's a strong adult (Saturn) versus child (Cancer) vibe to this. You may feel like stamping your feet if you're denied.”
Mercury in your sector of personal resources opposes Jupiter Rx, indicating an answer or result around finances or security. A key area of growth involving shared finances, psychological exploration or intimacy will be pinpointed - the temptation to share, give or demand too much will be modified by the ongoing demand for increased focus. Sensitive or taboo information that’s uncovered can tell you exactly what you need to know to enhance your security. Mercury’s trine to Pluto solidifies what you discover, while giving you an edge in financial and career discussions.
The Sun in your communication sector trine Mars activates energetic connections with the public - excellent for reaching out to friends, gaining attention for your words, gathering diverse opinions or tuning into something new and exciting.
Jupiter/Neptune can greatly expand intimacy, inner peace/optimism or the desire to merge (with someone or a higher power). This is an enabling influence, which includes healthy and unhealthy habits. Escapism, deep healing or the release of fears are possible. Something’s growing in the shadows - take a close look and ensure that you can swim with it.
Venus in your domestic sector opposes Saturn Rx, bringing you to a personal and professional conclusion. An official career announcement/result, job ending, retirement or consequence will define exactly what you want and have at home. It will also define what you’re missing (including key areas of support) and what you can’t have. External authority will dominate. In contrast to Jupiter/Neptune, this influence will deliver an external reality check.
Mercury in your sign opposes Jupiter Rx, bringing a relationship answer, ending or realization. The key area will be growth/expansion/future goals that are being reassessed - you’ll get your answer as to whether or not you and another are on the same page. Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx suggests certain changes involving travel, education, legal matters, publishing or beliefs will be confirmed. Watch for an intensified sense of understanding as what you learn empowers you.
The Sun in your sector of personal resources trine Mars energizes money and career matters. Your professional efforts will activate additional financial options (new sources of income, more choices for salary, etc) - innovation and flexibility are key.
Jupiter/Neptune can give you more options regarding one-on-one relationships, friendships and public connections. Watch for the growth of ideals, empathetic connections or hope for the future. The key will be your ability to connect with others in a non-judgemental, compassionate manner.
However, Venus in your communication sector opposite Saturn Rx can hi-light a stringent rule, result, official announcement or verbal/written commitment that may not deliver exactly what you were hoping for. Or, you may get what you want along with a pile of obligations. An achievement can make you aware of additional responsibilities, and you could feel judged or unfairly criticized.
Mercury in your hidden sector opposes Jupiter Rx. A shift in perspective involving health, daily routine or obligations to others will reveal something secret or unacknowledged. If expansion around work or health issues (including your enthusiasm to do more) has been reigned in, you can focus that enthusiasm and come up with an effective solution for what was previously obscured. However, make sure that you have a firm grip on the reality of the situation - it will be easy to overestimate if you race over the details. However, Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx should keep you on track if you tune into instinctive knowledge, deeply personal issues or psychological breakthroughs. Sensitive or taboo information will be important.
The Sun in your sign trine Mars gives you energy, initiative and even more curiosity than usual. Excellent for exploring new territory or reaching a wider audience.
Jupiter/Neptune looks good for career, as your approach to work and routines enhances a professional dream, creative approach to business or a business ideal. You can do more and impress others , especially if you’re focusing your energy wisely.
However, Venus in your sector of personal resources opposite Saturn Rx does indicate some financial and security shortfalls. A reality check about debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances, intimacy or personal boundaries can hi-light where you feel most insecure or where you’re lacking something. Consider if the limits you’ve encountered are actually intensifying your desire. In some cases, this aspect can indicate an official result or ending around what you owe or earn.
Mercury in your social sector opposes Jupiter Rx, suggesting public announcements, discussions or results will be driven by creative efforts or romantic issues. Focused expansion of something that’s highly desired (or something you want to show off) will grab public attention, but there is also some risk of exaggerated expectations or statements. Nonetheless, this aspect can mark a social success as your words convince others. Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx add some one-on-one intensity: even as you reach a large audience, the content of your words will magnetize others on a personal level. Too, the support of a partner can add reassurance.
The Sun in your hidden sector trine Mars energizes things behind the scenes. Secrets, intimate issues or psychological exploration will be activated, and you’ll have the energy and courage to push into uncomfortable territory.
Jupiter/Neptune expands creative and romantic prospects, as possibilities, creativity or foreign markets open up. Also great for pure celebration and indulgence, although there is a risk of going too far (it may feel natural to just keep going).
However, Venus in your sign opposes Saturn Rx, so you’ll also be in for a reality check involving your love life or a specific partner. A result, commitment or ending will emphasize what you can’t have, and parent/child issues in the partnership may be hi-lighted. Even a positive outcome will feel a bit heavy, as you become aware of extra responsibilities or limits. You could also feel less than attractive if you’re denied something. Keep in mind that Saturn’s limits always point out where you have to provide for yourself. And, consider if you’re projecting some of these restrictions, or projecting your authority.
Mercury in your career sector opposes Jupiter Rx, indicating a professional announcement, result, meeting with management or business launch. This could be a big, bold statement, and your adjustment of domestic priorities will play an important role. Make sure you’re able to keep any promises you make- align your future goals with your personal growth. Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx can help if you pay attention to routines, corrections and practical applications of daily changes. Efforts in your work or health can empower your professional image, while adding weight and conviction to your words.
The Sun in your social sector trines Mars, powering up one-on-one and group relationships (or friendships). All interactions with others can benefit from your energy and curiosity, although someone else may be the initiator.
Jupiter/Neptune can bring moments of domestic bliss or family comfort. Home finances or a domestic relationship look favourable, as you easily let go of worries and lose yourself in the moment. Enjoy what you’ve got going on at home, but use caution if you’re selling or buying - it will be easy to lose track of your financial reality.
Note that Venus in your hidden sector opposite Saturn Rx will remind you that a fantasy or secret attraction/desire can’t be sustained. Real life (and your daily grind) will trump what you’ve been hiding or avoiding.
Mercury in your sector of opportunities opposes Jupiter Rx, suggesting results involving a graduation, travel, legal matter or publishing. What you learn or announce will come from your focus on a particular issue, or your efforts to research/uncover the truth. This can be a successful conclusion if you keep your original goals in mind (don’t get distracted by additional info or opportunities). Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx adds manifestation potential, especially if a creative project is involved. Much will depend on the intensity of your desire to succeed and how seriously you’ve been taking your talents. Excellent for writing/publishing.
The Sun in your career sector trines Mars, supporting professional goals (or connections with management) by harmonizing your daily work with the bigger picture. The effort you apply to fix, upgrade or simply get it done will drive your professional life forward.
Jupiter/Neptune opens up communication (verbal and non-verbal) between you and a partner. Empathy and idealism will be high, but take a close look at any beautiful promises that are made. Make sure there’s proof to back up future possibilities. Good for forgiving or transcending petty issues.
However, Venus in your social sector opposite Saturn Rx is a reminder that some relationships (or connections with the public) will be limited by certain realities. Your public image may be under scrutiny (keep it clean and professional ) or you may be rejected on some level. The limits you encounter are designed to draw your attention to what you’re responsible for, regarding your talents, special purpose or desire to be appreciated. You may have to work harder, or accept that certain things are not possible. In some cases, a public or social accomplishment can result in extra responsibilities along with the attention.
Mercury in your sector of shared resources opposes Jupiter Rx, delivering results involving debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances, intimacy or psychological issues. Intense conversations or taking a deep look at what you need and have can pay dividends, especially if you’ve made adjustments to spending, sources of income or bottom-line needs. Watch for a personal discovery or positive growth in an area where you share with someone else. Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx enables a deeper understanding of your unconscious issues, or intimate dynamics with a partner. You can also gain better control over domestic issues as you look at what’s going on behind the scenes (especially where inherited issues are involved).
The Sun in your sector of opportunities trines Mars, urging you to explore, take a calculated risk or jump into a new adventure. Education, travel, a new attraction or publishing can be areas where you feel a surge of confidence and curiosity.
Jupiter/Neptune can see you profiting (or feeling good) by helping others, or releasing issues/routines that have undermined your health. However, if not handled properly, this aspect can also encourage self-indulgence or overspending -if you’re tempted to let an obligation (to self or others) slide, know that Venus/Saturn will remind you of personal and professional parameters. Your professional image or work relationships will be clearly defined, and there could be consequences. However, if you’ve done the work these energies could deliver a result that gives you more authority or respect (however, you’ll still be strongly aware of the rules you have to live by).
Mercury in your partnership sector opposes Jupiter Rx in your sign, delivering a relationship conclusion, answer or turning point. Discussions will be based on your intensified focus and/or adjustments to an area of growth. There may be tension between your goals versus your partner’s goals, but Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx should enable cooperation and mutual growth if you both have a common goal (involving change or advancement). Also excellent for a business partnership.
The Sun in your sector of shared resources trines Mars, helping you make progress behind the scenes in the areas of home, family, domestic finances or your partner’s finances. This energy encourages the active exploration of additional options.
Jupiter Rx in your sign trine Neptune in your sector of self-expression can bring beautiful moments of romance, celebration or creativity. You may be awash with attraction, good feelings and optimism. However, if you have a tendency to overdo it in the areas of drugs, alcohol or romanic obsession, this aspect can make it easy to slide past all limits. You may feel there’s no reason to stop.
However, Venus in your sector of opportunities opposite Saturn Rx will remind you of those limits - travel, long-distance romance, education or legal matters will present reasons why you shouldn’t or can’t. The risk will have consequences. In some cases, this energy can symbolize an official result/graduation/answer.
Mercury in your sector of routine opposes Jupiter Rx, delivering a solution or improvement in the areas of work, health or obligations to others. Behind-the-scenes goals or opportunities may have led to an unexpected loophole, or (in some cases) more work. Make sure your daily reality is aligned with unexpressed expectations. Mercury’s trine to Pluto Rx can keep you on track with reminders of how your particular routines/work can enhance profits and security. Practicality is key - look at the facts around spending, saving and ongoing changes that are impacting your earned money and self-esteem. Do your solutions or approach to self-care align with your values?
The Sun in your partnership sector is energized by a trine to Mars, enabling partnership progress and fast-moving conversations. Co-operation is on tap as actions harmonize with words and you’re able to get it done, together.
Jupiter/Neptune can encourage a dream or unrealized hope, while enabling forgiveness and transcendence of old family issues. Allow yourself to let go and accept what’s coming into being. But in some cases, this energy can make it easy to wander down a path of escapism and illusion.
Venus/Saturn will be your reality check, as finances or relationship issues come to a head. A result will sharply define what you can’t have or don’t have enough of, while also clarifying your responsibilities. Your ability to provide for yourself may be emphasized.
Mercury in your sector of self-expression opposes Jupiter Rx, suggesting an enthusiastic conclusion or result involving an attraction, creative work, performance or public announcement. Even with Jupiter Rx this will be a big statement. You may be responding to events in your social group, or a desire to target a certain audience. This looks to be successful, especially with Mercury trining Pluto Rx in your sign - this will give your words intensity and magnetism. You can impress others and show them that you mean business.
The Sun in your sector of routine trines Mars in your sector of personal resources, creating harmony between your efforts to earn money/enhance your security and your daily environment. Watch for solutions, improvements and tasks that energize you while supporting your ambitions.
Jupiter/Neptune enhances public communication, group ideals and activities. You may tune into a project or issue that increases your empathy. Or, your creative reach can expand.
However, Venus in your partnership sector opposite Saturn Rx in your sign presents you with the realities around one, specific relationship. An ending, result or commitment will be driven by your rules and boundaries. In some cases, your second look at a partnership may intensify certain limits as you take on the role of parent.
Mercury in your domestic sector opposes Jupiter Rx, signalling a conclusion or final answer around a relocation or development in your career/future goals. Big-picture changes that have focused and refined your future expansion have led you to this point - there could be a reward or recognition from someone in authority. Mercury trine Pluto Rx boosts your conviction that you’re on the right track while intensifying your insight and intuition - information from the past (including family secrets) may play a role.
The Sun in your sector of self-expression trine Mars in your sign boosts your desire to celebrate, play, show off or create. This is fun, energetic influence that pumps up your courage and helps you gain an audience.
Jupiter/Neptune suggests that career developments can move in the right direction as goals/expectations flow along a lucrative path. Creativity or your willingness to allow certain opportunities can encourage income and self-esteem, although you may also be tempted to spend more.
However, Venus in your sector of routine opposing Saturn Rx will remind you that certain obligations, health or work matters are restricted by a background issue that others can’t see. While this will be frustrating, it can be a reminder that a specific issue requires your diligent attention. Balance your energies by taking full advantage of the flow of opportunity while obeying the non-negotiable rules.
Mercury in your communication sector opposes Jupiter Rx, indicating results around education, travel, legal matters, beliefs or justice. Your answer/decision will be driven by the expansion of a specific issue - you may have learned something important or had your eyes opened to a deeper truth. Mercury trine Pluto Rx adds depth and intensity to the above, as your words or decision involve more than just you.
The Sun in your domestic sector trine Mars suggests background or hidden issues will energize your domestic environment. Behind-the-scenes actions can drive a family discussion or your decisions about a home business, relocation or your immediate environment.
Jupiter trine Neptune in your sign can suggest a dream-come-true opportunity, as future possibilities expand. A distant hope looks encouraging and doable, as long as you’re following the most natural route (events should unfold effortlessly).
Venus in your sector of self-expression opposite Saturn Rx can pinpoint limits around a new attraction, creative work or issue involving children/pregnancy. What you want will be restricted by social rules. Or, this could be a result that brings you to a line that can’t be crossed.
This transit blends needs and wants - Cancer is a security-seeking, instinctive sign, and Venus is about money, relationships, self-esteem and values. The combo is highly emotional and self-protective. Wants can feel primal (because you're reminded of the past, childhood and mother). Empathy and nurturing increases, along with neediness and helplessness. If you're denied what you want or love, it can feel especially personal (even if the denial has nothing to do with you, specifically).
During this transit, it will be important to honour what you want, while making sure you feel safe. If something/someone makes you feel unsafe, don't try to convince yourself otherwise. Look after yourself. At the same time, realize that if others say "no" or are insensitive, it's not always about you. Everything can feel like a rejection and you'll have to remind yourself that this is intensely subjective energy. If you can't step away from the issue, try to understand why it feels so personal. Chances are, it will be about more than what's happening in the moment. Dynamics from your past (especially unmet needs) will be stirred up.
In general, this can be a good time to connect with loved ones and nurture them with food and hugs. It can also be a superb time to look after yourself - Venus in Cancer loves comfort, soothing things and quiet time. Having said this, Venus will challenged by some harsh aspects (see below) so sensitivities will acute.
Note that the first aspect she receives on the day of her Cancer ingress is Uranus, newly into Taurus. Here we have new (Uranus) ways of making yourself happy and meeting your needs. A sextile is a gentle aspect so this is nothing too crazy, just a hint that what's changing in the Taurus section of your chart can free you up from unhealthy dependencies. You can still feel safe with a sniff of liberation.
Here are the aspects Venus will make:
May 19th: sextile Uranus (0 deg Taurus)
May 20th: square Chiron (1 deg Aries)
May 20th: inconjunct Mars (1 deg Aquarius)
May 22nd: opposite Vesta (4 deg Capricorn)
May 26th: opposite Saturn Rx (8 deg Capricorn)
June 1st: trine Jupiter Rx (15 deg Scorpio)
June 2nd: trine Neptune (16 deg Pisces)
June 2nd: square Juno (16 deg Aries)
June 5th: opposite Pluto Rx (20 deg Capricorn)
June 8th: opposite Black Moon Lilith (23 deg Capricorn)
June 13th: inconjunct Vesta (29 deg Sagittarius)
June 13th: Leo ingress
May 20th square to Chiron and inconjunct to Mars: you'll be reminded of why it hurts to want something, while having to adjust your sensitivities to detached (Aquarius) actions (Mars). A vulnerable day - protect yourself but don't ignore the wound.
May 26th opposition to Saturn: an ending or result that hi-lights what you can't have, while encouraging you to look after yourself. You're responsible (Saturn) for what makes you happy. In some cases, this can illustrate a heavy commitment (marriage) with restrictions. There's a strong adult (Saturn) versus child (Cancer) vibe to this. You may feel like stamping your feet if you're denied.
June 1st and 2nd trines to Neptune and Jupiter Rx: A Grand Water Trine where what you want/love increases and approaches dream-come-true territory. No limits, and this can also apply to an addiction. There's no resistance here, so make sure that what's increasing is in your best interests. Jupiter and Neptune will trine each other on May 25th, so the two influences will be connected.
June 5th and 8th opposition to Pluto and Lilith: obsession is a possibility as Pluto cranks up the intensity of what you feel you must have, while BML hi-lights the discrepancy between safe, nurturing female energy versus taboo, unacceptable female energy. You could feel victimized, rejected or powerfully drawn to what you know is unsafe. This is not the time to be childish - be mature about what you're craving.
A Waxing Sextile between the Cancer Moon and Taurus Sun (28 deg) introduces the potential to nurture and grow an existing resource. You've got something solid and practical to work with, and now you can add an emotional component. What feels like the best thing to do? What resonates in your gut?
But feelings are not enough - this aspect only delivers when you take action. And this doesn't have to be ambitious action. Maybe you're just considering how you can make yourself more comfortable and secure.

Mars enters Aquarius on May 16th at 12:54 AM EDT. This is a significant transit for a couple of reasons.
First, Mars will square Uranus (newly entered into Taurus) on May 16th, adding a surge of energy to both transits. Mars/Uranus is unpredictable actions, accidents and sudden breakaways. The sprint, slap, leap or rupture. The crisis that results in a snap. Whether you initiate things, or things come at you, this energy is jagged - be cautious. The square will occur two more times, which means a particular issue may require your repeated kicks (or you could be the one getting kicked). Anything between 0 and 2 deg of the Fixed signs will feel this most strongly.
The abrupt shove will introduce Uranus' seven years of change in Taurus, and Mars' extended stay in Aquarius (due to his retrograde). And here is the second reason why this particular Mars transit is significant - Mars Rx in Aquarius intensifies specific actions so the move towards independence can happen (sometimes it takes extra effort to break away from the past). Or, Mars Rx can delay actions/progress if the impulse is poorly timed. Delays or intensification will depend on how Mars aspects your chart. Mars Rx means progress is put on hold, either way. You have to wait or redo. Progress happens when Mars stations direct.
In general, Mars in Aquarius is tense, rebellious and stubborn (Aquarius is a Fixed sign). Compromise is non-existent - it must happen, and it must happen your way or their way, no matter what. Great for innovation and (barring the Mars/Uranus square) liberation that requires patience.
Yes, Aquarius can be patient (or fixated) if there's a goal. Mars in Aquarius (especially Mars Rx) suggests breaking free of all limits no matter how long it takes and no matter what's at stake. Impulse with staying power, or fanaticism. While Aquarius is known to be a logical sign, when it gets riled up logic flies out the window. For example, if a limit is encountered, Mars in Aquarius will push and keep pushing, just because someone says "No."
Mars Rx will briefly reenter Capricorn, which suggests revisiting rules/traditions/structures to remind yourself what the previous focus was. This can help you regroup (especially helpful if you've lost track of a goal) and it's interesting that Mars direct occurs in this sign- you have to return to old rules/traditions so you can move on from them. 29 to 28 degrees of the Cardinal signs will feel this part of the retrograde.
Here are the aspects Mars will make. I've bolded the stations from Rx to direct, sign ingresses and repeat aspects (when the planet being aspected is in the same sign).
May 16th: square Uranus (0 deg Taurus)
May 20th: sextile Chiron (1 deg Aries)
May 20th: inconjunct Venus (1 deg Cancer)

May 29th: inconjunct Pallas (4 deg Cancer)
June 1st: trine Mercury (5 deg Gemini)
June 8th: conjunct the South Node (7 deg)
June 16th: inconjunct Mercury (8 deg Cancer)

July 5th: opposite Mercury (8 deg Leo)
July 15th: inconjunct Ceres (7 deg Virgo)
July 16th: inconjunct Venus (6 deg Virgo)
July 16th: square Juno (6 deg Taurus)
July 20th: conjunct the South Node (5 deg)
July 21st: opposite Pallas (5 deg Leo)
July 27th: opposite the Sun (4 deg Leo)
August 1st: square Uranus (2 deg Taurus)
August 3rd: sextile Chiron (2 deg Aries)
August 7th: trine Venus (1 deg Libra)
August 10th: conjunct Black Moon Lilith (0 deg)
August 12th: Capricorn ingress
August 21st: inconjunct the Sun (28 deg Leo)
August 27th: stations direct (28 deg Capricorn)
September 2nd: inconjunct Pallas (28 deg Leo)
September 3rd: trine Ceres ( 28 deg Virgo)
September 5th: inconjunct Mercury (29 deg Leo)
September 8th: square Venus (29 deg Libra)
September 10th: Aquarius ingress
September 13th: sextile Chiron Rx (0 deg Aries)
September 18th: square Uranus Rx (1 deg Taurus)
September 23rd: trine Mercury (3 deg Libra)
September 27th: conjunct the South Node (4 deg)
September 27th: trine the Sun (4 deg Libra)
October 1st: conjunct Black Moon Lilith (6 deg)
October 10th: square Venus Rx (10 deg Scorpio)
October 19th: square Mercury (14 deg Scorpio)
November 9th: trine Venus Rx (26 deg Libra)
November 10th: square Juno (27 deg Taurus)
November 14th: inconjunct the North Node (28 deg Cancer)
November 15th: sextile Uranus Rx (29 deg Aries)
November 15th: Pisces ingress
Three squares to Uranus (May 16th, August 1st and September 18th): the May 16th trigger will reoccur. The initial action/disruption will have aftershocks. Or, it may take more than one try to break free.
Three conjunctions to the South Node (June 8th, July 20th, September 27th): repeat attempts to activate a karmic situation. Or, repeatedly dealing with something from the past in order to wrap it up.
Two aspects to Venus Rx (The October 10th square and November 9th trine): intensified exploration of relationship/self-esteem issues is triggered by rebellious actions. The square is the challenge and the trine is the harmonious aftermath.
Two conjunctions to Black Moon Lilith (August 10th and October 1st): the witch/dangerous woman/taboo sexual issue is powered up by highly individuated actions. This one has a powerful outsider vibe (BML is already an outsider, and this will be emphasized by Mars in Aquarius who runs against the grain). Also, it's notable when male energy unites with Lilith, since she makes many (traditional or repressed) men uncomfortable.
Here we are, on the cusp of a new era. Can you feel it? Uranus enters Taurus on May 15th at 11:16 AM EDT.
The last time Uranus changed signs (when it entered Aries) was May 27th, 2010. It will exit Taurus for Gemini on July 7th, 2025. This gives you an idea of how significant Uranus' ingresses are - these shifts don't happen every day. Each time Uranus enters a new sign, liberation, disruption and progress occur in a new area. Wherever Taurus falls in your chart is where you'll be modernized or liberated.
Taurus is stubborn and avoids change. Uranus is change. Taurus is about comfort and physical sensuality. Uranus is detachment and shock. When the two collide, you just know that the comfort zone is going to be updated, like it or not.
When interpreting these transits, I find it helpful to combine keywords. So here's your cheat sheet (Uranus keywords on the left, Taurus keywords on the right):
new approach to money/security/survival/pleasure/self-esteem/beauty
new physical expression
disruption of stagnation
liberation from supression
detachment from possessions/possessiveness
upgrade of what's stagnated
These changes may be voluntary or involuntary, but either way there will be a sudden catalyst. It will likely feel uncomfortable, but it will be necessary. Taurus gets stuck into what's safe, and sometimes that can result in a shutdown and poverty mentality, rather than abundance and growth. Uranus is here to ensure that any stale areas are liberated. If the soil is no longer fertile, this transit will blow it away or push you into new, more fertile territory.
Note that the transiting South Node is in Uranus-ruled Aquarius until November 6th, 2018. The South Node is the past, or what's ready to be carried forward. Uranus into Taurus says that you can make that leap forward by updating your comfort zone. Liberate yourself from old definitions of money, security, beauty or comfort. Find a new source of income. Let go of what you've been clinging to. And don't worry about guessing where the change will happen - Uranus will show you.
Wondering how Uranus’ transit of Taurus might impact you? I’ve written an eBook about it, based on your house positions (you need to know your birth time so you can figure out which description in the book applies to you).
Mercury enters Taurus on May 13th, 8:40 AM EDT. This is a brief transit (a bit over two weeks) but it is a chance to regroup and take stock of what you learned during Mercury's previous tour of Aries.
Communication and ideas are grounded in the moment. Caution and simplicity are the themes. This may come as a relief for those who were rattled by Mercury in Aries' repeat hits to Mars and Saturn. That battle is over, and now you can consider the results. This is not the time for impulsive words or complex ideas - Mercury in Taurus is slow, stubborn and thoughtful. What makes sense right now? What's the simplest answer?
Mind you, Uranus is entering Taurus in a couple of days (although it won't conjoin Mercury) so there are bigger changes on the horizon. And Mercury's conjunction with Uranus in Aries earlier today (6:50 AM EDT) might have been the final burst of truth/clarity that launched you into this more thoughtful mode. Nonetheless, you're still looking at the immediate reality - how information and the physical world align. There is unity here, and you can make the most of it by ensuring your words manifest into reality. That means pulling back on the bold or passionate pronouncements and ensuring that you can actually do what you say you're going to do.
Here are the aspects Mercury in Taurus will make:
May 16th: trine Vesta (4 deg Capricorn)
May 18th: trine Saturn Rx (8 deg Capricorn)
May 18th: square the Nodes (8 deg Leo/Aquarius)
May 22nd: sextile Neptune (16 deg Pisces)
May 23rd: opposite Jupiter Rx (16 deg Scorpio)
May 23rd: square Ceres (16 deg Leo)
May 25th: trine Pluto Rx (21 deg Capricorn)
May 25th: trine Black Moon Lilith (21 deg Capricorn)

Uranus into Taurus
May 15th is a huge day. There’s a Taurus New Moon and Uranus enters Taurus. Talk about new beginnings that will rattle the foundations. Uranus also rules the Aquarius South Node (the past) so this transit will be a crucial part of dealing with detachment, alienation or trauma. In order to step away from the past, you'll need to crack open the set routines of your comfort zone.
Wondering how Uranus’ seven-year transit of Taurus might impact you? I’ve written an eBook about it, based on your house positions (you need to know your birth time so you can figure out which description in the book applies to you).
On May 16th, Mars into Aquarius triggers Uranus in Taurus with a square - the first changes will hit because of rebellious or unexpected actions. Note that Mars will station Rx in Aquarius on June 9th, and will square Uranus two more times before he exits Aquarius on November 15th. So the first hit on March 16th will not be a one-off. If you feel an impending sense of urgency or craziness, you're not imagining things.
Venus/Chiron: Vulnerability is the Path to Healing
Venus enters Cancer on May 19th, squaring Chiron in Aries on May 20th. Venus in Cancer is especially sensitive (she craves comfort and the shelter of love) and her square to Chiron will mix love/yearning with pain or vulnerability. What you want will remind you of why it hurts to want/love. You can hide from this, or use it as a prompt to confront the freshly exposed Chiron in Aries' wounds. Note that Venus in Cancer can retreat inside the shell when hurt, so that's an option. But shutting down completley would accomplish nohting. You need to protect yourself, but don't ignore what's hurting - Chiron is not moving through Aries on a whim. Find that courage and look at where it hurts, why it hurts and how you can deal with it.
