Farewell Teresa Walker HR Manager RMG Staffing - YouTube

Being a human resource manager is not an easy job. Though an HR manager is one of the first persons an employee meets upon getting hired and is usually the person who guides one through the introductory stages of employment, a great HR manager is somewhat of a hidden gem who moves around an office like blood maneuvers throughout the body, making sure each and every employee has the necessary support to perform the daily duties and responsibilities the company requires. Aside from administrative support, a good and nice HR manager will usually remind you to take your vacation time before you lose it.

Former RMG Staffing HR Manager Teresa Walker has done all of the previously mentioned things and much more, she not only placed people in their positions, she placed them in their passions.  She believed in changing lives and so she did to so many.  Teresa had been a vital asset to the company and through her many years of service; RMG Staffing had seen tremendous growth.

As a human resource executive for RMG Staffing, her long list of duties and responsibilities included helping out with RMG’s branding and business development, devising company initiatives to increase productivity, implementing recruitment strategies and setting retention goals. Overall, her countless efforts had contributed greatly to RMG Staffing being now the leading staffing agency within South Florida’s staffing industry.

In addition to her tremendous contributions to Team RMG, Teresa has a big heart and it showed during the many times RMG was asked to enlist employees to support foundations and non-profit organizations. She spearheaded RMG Staffing’s involvement in last year’s Walk to Cure Lupus.  Her smile and demeanor during the event inspired other employees to not only be great workers but also greater human beings who contribute to causes.

“Without a doubt, our company would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for Teresa,” President and CEO of RMG Staffing Ricardo Michelangeli says of Teresa Walker. “Within the years she was a part of our team, she showed loyalty and great dedication. She helped increase company productivity and came up with creative ideas that pushed our company to heights that we never thought were imaginable. She will surely be missed, a one-of-a-kind Human Resource Manager. We wish her success in her new journey.”

In the small job market of 2019, people looking for a job need to ensure that they do everything they can to be considered for the job. There are many career professionals who excel in job searches and have outlined some tips for people searching for a job. There is no true shortcut that will help you to secure a job but by using a good strategy you can increase your chances.

Job Targets

Before you start spending your days searching for a job, it is important to identify the ideal job target. Start by looking for work requirements and job titles that may interest you. This can also include the sort of work environment you prefer, the company size, location, culture, and structure. By creating a list of companies that align with your ideal requirements and preferences, you can find better job opportunities!

Employee Referrals

The power of a social network can never be underestimated. Make sure that you focus on ways to connect with employees working at your preferred workplace. By using tools like alumni pages and LinkedIn, you will probably be able to find someone who works at your desired place. Reaching out to them can really increase your chances of getting hired. There is little doubt that some people just hate their jobs and regret making choices that led them to their career. This toxic mindset fosters an unhealthy psychological ecosystem where employees develop undesirable traits that end up hurting sales and with it, the bottom line.

Below are a few challenges that employees must address if they want to climb up the corporate ladder.

1)   Being Irresponsible

It isn’t uncommon for workers to shirk their responsibilities and to rely on their coworkers to do damage control. This behavior affects the entire workplace morale. It can be particularly disastrous for small businesses because a single irresponsible employee can inspire a toxic environment. It can quickly take a toll on customer relationships and cost the business hundreds of thousands of dollars.

2)   Not Taking the Job Seriously

Some employees deliberately choose to not take their responsibilities seriously. Perhaps they’re making plans to switch careers, or they have no real need for the job. Either way, when a person demonstrates little real interest with their responsibilities, it leaves a bad impression on the higher ups. Here’s the bottom-line: people like to trust dependable employees.

If the job is so boring, try to identify the factors that contribute to the dullness and have them addressed ASAP by management and HR. At the end of the day, some people are just too entitled to pick up responsibility and are of the view that their paycheck should be handed to them on a silver platter.

3)   Being Late to Work

Employees are expected to report to work on the agreed upon time. This should be fairly obvious. There are exceptional scenarios such as the car breaking down, excessive traffic, late buses or trains, or even a family emergency. If the aforementioned, ‘occasional’, reasons cause the delay, that shouldn’t be an issue.

Chronic lateness because of sheer laziness however, is a whole different ballpark. This behavior can significantly hamper a small business in terms of profitability and productivity. So do your boss a favor and show up on time.

4)   The Desire to be “Independent”

It is a good thing to be independent at work, it means you’re able to take on more tasks that don’t require immediate supervision by your boss.

But some people take offense to being told what to do and given directions. Isn’t that the entire principle behind jobs? That you will have someone in a position of authority to maintain checks and balances.

5)   Not Being Loyal

Employees who have their eye on the next job are at risk of displaying malicious behavior. They probably don’t need that recommendation letter and aren’t afraid of costing the business a few thousands of dollars in damages. Of particular importance are company contracts and confidentiality agreements that should be honored whether you’re with the company or have left its fold.

Otherwise that’s a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Being disloyal to your company leaves both parties damaged and exhausted.

Rightly dubbed as the “Magic City”, the pacing of developments in Miami have gone sky high because of a slew of high rises under construction and new active neighborhoods buzzing with activity.

A cursory glance at the swarm of cranes spread throughout the city has the Miami skyline. You need manpower and human resources to drive so much transformation in a short period of time, which is why Miami has become one of the hottest city for jobs.

Below are just 3 mega projects that signal a positive change for Miami’s once slumping job.

1) Brickell City Centre

Brickell City Center is a huge project that has over $1.05 billion pumped into it. It is located smack-dab in the center of Brickell’s financial district and has become the largest project in downtown Miami. Brickell City Centre will take urban living to new levels of sophistication and cater to all residents of Miami, including the highly lucrative ambitious, young, and wealthy crowd with sophisticated tastes.

2) Miami World Center

Marketed as a city within a city, Miami World Center will sprawl over nine blocks to revitalize and energize the job market. With a long line of exceptional hotels, entertainment, fine dining, commercial, residential, and retail offerings, Miami World Center will transform downtown Miami into one of the largest urban environments in the world. It comprises over 20 million square feet of land that can be constructed over, earning it the title of ‘city within a city.’ The mega project will create new dynamics that will invite both excitement and diversity.

3) Panorama Tower

Panorama Tower in Brickell is now the tallest building in South Florida, although it will be short lived since taller projects are currently underway. Once completed, the mixed-use project will create 208 hotel rooms, 821 luxury apartments, 50,000 square feet of retail with high end products, and 100,000 square feet of office space for medical services.

There is a long list of smaller projects with a budget ranging from $4.2 to over $35 million including Brickell Flatiron, Echo Brickell, Park Grove, Monacho Yacht Club, Okan Tower Miami, and a surplus of many luxury condos.

All this development has injected the Miami market with new jobs, making the city, in particular, Brickell, a hotspot for job seekers. New migration trends are being observed where people are moving for new opportunities in Miami.

There are hundreds of multinational corporations like American Airlines, Microsoft, Kraft Foods, Exxon, Cisco, Oracle, Disney, Visa International, Sony, Walmart, and many more that are adding to the highly versatile job market.

As per recent report by CBS Miami, is is a great time to jump into the job market.  New hires are receiving 5% higher wages than a year ago, according to private-sector payroll data by CNNMoney.

All this means that 2019 is going to be a stellar year with more out-of-the-box benefits and looser requirements.
