RMG Staffing was honored and privileged to have attended the 2019 Midwest Staffing Conference held between the dates of May 22 and the 23 at Hyatt Regency in Schaumburg, IL. As many as 420 staffing and recruiting professionals from across the country gathered together to inform, network and inspire each other. The conference featured 10 speakers who gave inspirational speeches concerning the industry. In additional, the event included 17 dynamic presentations that gave tremendous insight, breakout sessions and 23 unique vendor and sponsors.
Some of the presentations focused on branding, recruitment marketing, and a particular segment dealt with the recruitment of millennials. The first afternoon ended with “Recruiting Centric Super Roundtables,” where attendees were able to ask speakers about the issues the industry is currently facing. During his keynote speech, Mr. Wintrip discussed the changing dynamics in today’s competitive marketplace and how to navigate through them in order to meet the needs of customers quickly, while growing profits. Concluding segments of the conference included workshop sessions and other presentations that had to do with fixing candidate ghosting problems, negotiating tactics and demands, and developing performance-oriented cultures. Lastly, the 2019 Midwest Staffing Conference wrapped up with the exciting vendor raffle drawing where attendees won some amazing prizes.
