I’ve seen it over and over in the years I’ve been coaching women…
Unexpressed thoughts, unfilled dreams and resignation to other people’s expectations result in emotions stored in the body and in the brain. These emotions often manifest into weight gain, dis-ease, overwhelm, anxiety, depression, addiction and self-hatred.
Is this happening to you?
It’s easy to overlook these things and tell yourself “That’s not why I don’t feel good. It must be something else.”
One of the ways you might be keeping the peace is by wearing politically correct, socially acceptable HATS and MASKS.
You can detox these stuffed emotions and when you do, you’ll also detox the stress from your brain.

As a woman, you can probably relate to their struggle.
You know you can make a difference in the world and have a bigger dream . . .
But your job, your family and your “responsibilities” always come first.
You’re ambitious! Running at warp speed but still don’t seem to get ahead.
There doesn’t seem to be enough time for anything else.
Here’s the problem with your thinking: You think it’s an either/or because you don’t know how to “find” the time.
I’m here to tell you its not an either/or.
IF you learn to how align your time with your priorities and practice these very important techniques for time management you can be there for your family and responsibilities AND start prioritizing yourself and your dreams.

Last week I had what I KNOW was DIVINE intervention.
I know that because all of a sudden, there seemed to be “coincidences” happening left and right.
For a while, I’d been feeling that something was missing or out of alignment.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been up to some really cool stuff this past year . . . but I was also starting to feel a disconnect.
Then at the retreat for The Vibrant Woman members, I drew a card.
It said “Retreat”
My interpretation could have been “Wow! I’m hosting a retreat – what a coincidence.”
But I knew with my gut the deeper meaning this card revealed was,
“to pull back may be the best way to move forward.”
I took it in and went about my mind’s plans.
Then last week, I drew another card and it guided “the presence of God is everywhere, so if you feel disconnected from the Divine, you’re the one who left. Your Nature Spirits are beckoning you back to a place of awareness that reconnects you to your source.”
In the moment I drew that card, I knew 2 things . . .
I’d been ignoring my GUT brain
I was canceling a trip to a WONDERFUL event that I’d planned for the weekend.
I CHOSE to follow the guidance of that card and spent the weekend with God in our creation:
Here’s what I realized about why I’d been feeling disconnected:We all have at least THREE brains and I’d only been listening to ONE.
-find a new love relationship
-get your children to listen to you
-stop arguing with your spouse
-advance in your career
And it’s especially difficult when what you are REALLY trying to do is just be happy with your life.
I know exactly what it’s like.
I spent years trying to be skinny enough, pretty enough and smart enough.
I swam in the tidal wave of perfectionism trying to muscle my way into expectations and results that were usually not even mine-they were the expectations of other people.
(And I hid it all behind really cool clothes, make up and even blond hair for a while lol!)
And when I wasn’t able to achieve the result, I spent my time HIDING my imperfections.
I thought it I worker even harder and pleased more people no one would see what a failure I was.
I hit a point where I walked away from both my career and my 13-year relationship because I thought each was demanding too much from me and I was never going to be enough.
It was during this downward spiral that I learned one of the most important lessons I ever could.
My unhappiness wasn’t coming from whether or not I achieved a result.
And it wasn’t coming from what other people thought about me. It was coming from what I thought it meant that I wasn’t achieving the results.
Its taken years of practice and reaching out for support to make this lesson a way of living for me.

Palliative Care Nurse Bonnie Ware compiled list of regrets of the dying and the top 5 regrets were:
1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish I had let myself be happier.
Have you had even one day where you felt the same?
These regrets didn’t come on all at once.
They crept in.
Little by little.
So gradual they were easily brushed aside by “bigger” priorities. Usually other people’s priorities.
Carrie, a new member of our Vibrant Woman tribe gets this.

What are you waiting for?
Will you check in with yourself and be completely honest with your answer:
How much time and energy do you spend trying to change something that IS?
How much time and energy do you spend trying to keep things the same?
You can experience a tremendous energy boost when you LET GO and go with the natural flow of things.
All things in life have a “season” – day, night, sunrise, sunset, Spring, Fall, full moon, quarter moon, high tide, low tide, inhale, exhale, birth, death
There are times when we humans forget our inner rhythm and inner intelligence.
We look outside ourselves for answers and try to “manage” or predict the future (not to mention analyze the past).
You may find yourself unintentionally trying to control or manipulate the cycles…control the outcome.
One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your energy level is to honor the cycles.
Expect the change.
Embrace the new.
Let go of the old.
You are energy and energy must move and change.

Do your emotions get in the way of being your best?
In my 20’s and 30’s I had a terrible relationship with my emotions. I’d have panic attacks over the simplest things and the flood of my emotions made me sad and defeated even when things were going well. I hated my emotions which meant hated a part of myself.
That’s a painful way to live.
Over the weekend, I was reminded of one of my “freak-out” moments. So I cut this quick video to share it with you because:
