Sometimes you think something is wrong with your life-
like something shouldn’t have happened or that you have missed something
along the way or you’re not where you should be in life.
It feels like a mistake has been made or that there is something you need to fix.
It feels like you need to change something or that something shouldn’t be happening.
Deep down you might be thinking something is actually wrong with you.
Research shows 95% of all illness is either caused by or worsened by stress
And thinking something is wrong creates stress.
I recently coached the women in our Whole Health Mastery on how to think everything is Ok
and it immediately resulted in major breakthroughs, so I put together a training video to give you some of the same strategies.
Here’s 3 exercises to help you stop thinking something is wrong:
Grab your journal and answer these questions:
What has happened already today that you’ve thought wasn’t supposed to happen?
Who has done something today that had you thinking “they shouldn’t have done that”?
What have you done (or not done) that caused you to think “I shouldn’t have_____”
These are examples of you thinking something is wrong.
Add up how much time you’ve already spent on thoughts like this today.
What could you have done with that time?
Rewrite the statements from Exercise #1 as fact and then add it’s ok to the end of the statement.
Write down something that frustrated you today.
What went wrong in that situation?
Rewrite the thought. What actually went RIGHT in that situation?
You are exactly where you are meant to be and nothing is wrong . . .
Unless you choose to think it is.
Life is meant to be enjoyed and you are meant to feel good!
Have you promised yourself that you will be better at self care this year?
Has your busy schedule already thrown a wrench into those plans?
It can be easy for the busy-ness of life to feel more urgent than your work out, your meditation or time with your family and friends.
But it doesn’t have to be that way.
This week on our Breathe Break for Your Brain, I taught 4 specific time management strategies that help your brain be clear and focused AND help you make time for the things that are most important for you.
The brain functions effortlessly when it has a routine to follow. When it knows what to do.
Although changing things up can grow your brain, doing so requires effect. Therefore, I recommend change be intentional and be for your own enjoyment!
For everything else, it’s good to create patterns that the brain can easily track.
Top 3 Strategies for Brain Friendly Time Management:
Daily Habits. Some things don’t need to be a “To-Do” because you intend to practice them daily. Make a list of the things you want to do daily no matter what and include Morning and Evening Routines, Health Habits, Work Habits and FUN Habits. Use a 30 day checklist to practice these habits into auto-pilot. Ex. Take Supplements in the AM.
Standing Appointments. Notice the important projects that always seem to slip through the cracks. These are more temporary priorities than your daily habits but for the next month or two are a priority. Schedule an appointment for these items on your calendar and set the occurrence daily or weekly. Ex. Call on new business propects.
Time Blocks. In reality the day comes down to about four 90 min time blocks. One in the AM before work. One in the AM at work. One in the PM at work. One in the Evening at home. Choose a single priority each day for each time block and do that first. Any left over time is to power through smaller tasks. Ex. Am Before Work-Sunrise ritual with Meditation. Most Important Priority.
VIP BRAIN HABIT:
The nature of our information age is that your brain is bombarded with information 24/7. This can cause overwhelm and trigger the stress response. YOU are in charge of your life and you can help your brain by designating specific times of day to check email and social media.
Choose a 15-20 time period in the morning, afternoon and evening to reply, post and comment.
Then set tech communication aside.
Train your friends and co-workers to not expect an instant response.
Free your brain from EMFs by turning your phone to airplane mode or OFF when you get home in the evening. Enjoy REAL LIFE instead!
This will help you avoid a technology induced brain break down!

The formula for happiness is Self Love.
Happiness can’t exist without it.
If you don’t have self love, then your happiness goes up and down depending on what is happening around you.
If you don’t have self love, your happiness fluctuates based on what other people think, say and do.
Here’s an exercise to help you boost your Self Love & Happiness:
Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle to make two columns.
Write each of these 3 words on the left hand side to make 3 rows: Love,Trust and Self Honor
Start with Love.
To the right of the line, list 3 things you love about yourself.
To the left of the line, list 3 things you don’t like about yourself. Assignment: Find things to love about the items you wrote to the left of the line.
Next is Trust.
To the right of the line, list 3 things you trust about yourself.
To the left of the line, list 3 things you don’t trust about yourself. Assignment: Begin trusting the items you wrote to the left of the line.
Finish with Self Honor
To the right of the line, list 3 self honoring choices you make daily.
To the left of the line, list 3 choices that don’t honor yourself. Assignment: Upgrade the choices you list on the left into self honoring choices.
Practice these assignments daily as a way to train your brain to track for happiness through self love!
Have you ever been in a relationship where every time the other person “gave” you something, you KNEW it was because they wanted something from you in return?
How did that make you feel?
Did you trust that person?
Probably not because that is a form of conditional love.
Rules and regulations have a tendency of tightening us up.
Conditional love makes us feel tense because at a basic level all thoughts and actions are either open or closed.
Love or Fear.
Lack or Abundance.
Conditional love feels so bad because it’s closed and based in seeing lack . . . based in fear.
Your relationship with your body isn’t any different.
In our Brain & Body Makeover, we do a three week sugar detox where the women in our tribe choose to eliminate foods that sabotage their weight, mood and energy.
They get to create their detox and the recommendations are to eliminate sugar and white flour products, caffeine and alcohol and artificial additives, dyes, hormones and antibiotics.
They also commit to HIIT to help clear out the toxins.
Maybe you’ve set an intention around clean eating or exercise at the start of the year too?
It sounds like a very loving thing to do for you body, but here’s the catch . . . it’s only loving if you are giving to give to your body NOT giving to get something from your body.
If you are starting the year out on a clean eating plan or an exercise routine, ask yourself WHY you are doing this. If you are doing this for the short term to lose weight or heal an illness and have every intention of going back to your old ways . . . you conditionally love your body.
You’re not doing it FOR your body, you are doing for what you think you’re going to GET FROM your body.
So why would your body trust you?
Your body will not cooperate with you any more than you like to give in to the person who always wants something from you and doesn’t really care about you.
So our three week sugar detox isn’t really a short term diet. It’s a way of easing your way into healthy eating for all the RIGHT reasons which means you are much more likely to see results and sustain them.
Start to practice this kind of self love toward your body and see what happens to the relationship.

It is not measured by action or accomplishment.
The new human energy is an awakening to who we really are.
This energy is the greatest form of energy-a giant energy.
This way of being sees the ego mind’s thoughts for they are-illusions- and knows the true essence of the human being is so much more.
This new human energy looks not to fix or correct anything or anyone, but rather to uplift ALL so they may return to their highest, pure, true self.
The new human sees themselves in others and practices acceptance over judgment.
The new human releases attachment to situations and beliefs and
uses each moment as an opportunity to call forward and inspire themselves and others.
The new human energy rises above fear, resistance and need to be right.
The new human softens what has become rigid and provides support
for directionless energy by serving as a cauldron for cohesive, collaborative flow.
The new human speaks and acts from love in all circumstances as an Awakening Giant in our world.
The new way of being is Love and love embraces all things,
allows all things, trusts all things and therefore transcends all things.
The new way of being is our natural design.
The new human is our true self.

To get something you’ve never had, you must try something you’ve never tried.
This is a different kind of goal setting exercise and it will have a profound impact on what you
create for your life.

Rather than setting an intention for what you want to DO or HAVE, you will set an intention for how you want to BE. Your way of being affects everything from how other people react to you, whether or not you can have an impact in the world, what you attract and even your health and wellness.

I also mentioned yesterday that there is a second part of this exercise that I use with clients that helps them evaluate how they spend their time during the day to ensure the most time is spent on what is most important. I’m sharing THAT part of the exercise below with you as well!
What Do I want my life to look like?
Draw a pie of your day and divide your pie with slices of how you spend your time on a typical day. Write a % of day is spent with each area. Sections might include Commute, Work, Eating, Exercising, Sleeping, With Family, Me Time
Rate each slice of your pie on a scale of 1-10 where a 10 is “I am completely in my ideal way of being” and a 1 is “I am not in my ideal way of being at all.”
What are the top 3 changes that would allow you to be in your ideal way of being in more slices of you pie?
What are the top 3 changes that would allow more of your time to spent doing what is important to you?
Your way of being determines what you accomplish and attract in life. Start creating your dreams through YOUR most fulfilling way of being!
Every single week (no exaggeration) I have a conversation with someone who feels like their life is spinning out of control.
Sometimes the conversation is with friends or a family member.
Sometimes it’s with a client I’m coaching.
Sometimes . . . it’s a conversation with my own mind.
When you feel like things are spinning out of control…
It seems like you just can’t get ahead…
You don’t know where to start…
I want you to know that this feeling can be caused by depleted brain chemistry or it can be caused by your mindset. MOST LIKELY – it’s a combination of both.
EITHER WAY…you can pull yourself out of OVERWHELM!
Here’s how to cure your overwhelm:
#1 – If you feel overwhelmed, over-stressed or burned out often, it is very likely that you are depleted in a brain chemical called GABA. Targeted nutrition in a customized protocol can restore these levels relatively quickly and you can feel clear, focused and energized again!
#2 – Check your thinking to see if your mindset is CREATING the overwhelm. There are many ways your thoughts can create overwhelm, but the one I see the most is thinking that you don’t have choice or control of your life.
Here’s an exercise to EXERCISE your power of CHOICE:
Identify a situation where you think you don’t have a choice and write it on a piece of paper.
Below that statement, write 5-10 potential alternative choices no matter how extreme they might seem.
Acknowledge that you ARE making a choice of some kind, especially if you made that choice a long time ago. Then affirm your choice in a written statement.
Ex. My friend is serving jury duty this week. When she texted me that she was unable to keep plans we’d made she wrote, “I’m on jury duty, not by choice.”
If my friend were to do the exercise above it would look like this:
I have no choice in serving jury duty.
Possible alternative choices:
-I could fail to show up and be arrested.
-I could live in a country that doesn’t have an innocent until proven guilty judicial system so there would be no jury duty. -I could respond to the jury summons with reasons that I can’t serve and negotiate until I’m released from duty.
I’m serving jury duty today because I’ve chosen to remain living in a country with laws that state we are innocent until proven guilty and today I’m playing my part in that freedom.
In my previous blog, we talked about how Energy is literally eternal life force running through all beings and objects and also how to become AWARE of your Energy at different times throughout the day.
Today, I want to continue the conversation on energy and how to create an energy boost.
The greatest “squeeze” on your Energy comes from Stress, which can be thought of as the opposite of Energy. The physical brain and body respond in the same way to real or perceived stress. That means your THOUGHTS can have a tremendous impact on your Energy, regardless of your external situation.
In fact, you can create an Energy boost merely by changing your internal environment and that begins with changing your thoughts or perception.
According to Bruce Lipton, Developmental Biologist and Expert in Epigenetics,“an inappropriate response or perception (fear, negativity) affects cells, relationships and even other people around the world. A thought literally changes the chemical composition of the blood which is the medium for the cells. This in turn affect the fate of the cell-thriving or dying. A thought affects the brain and the brain affects the blood and the blood affects the health of cell and can influence Energy and certainly lead to disease.”
Create your Energy Boost
1. Begin by assessing your Energy in descriptive words that generate a positive or curious perception. Let go of words that describe your Energy in a negative way. Free yourself from words like:
“Good” or “Bad”
“High” or “Low”
Try not to use comparative or judgmental words to describe your Energy because now you understand using those words actually shuts down your flow. Find a description of your Energy that makes you giggle, smile, joyful!
2. Journal your Energy description DAILY for at least 21 days. An example would be:
“Today my Energy is playful, varied and bumpy. I am aware of ebbs and flows and I noticed that external events pull my Energy up and down. I also noticed that when I took deep breaths throughout the day, it seemed to make my Energy more constant and I smiled.”
3. Journal about your Energy as if you are the outside observer and it is its own universal connected entity.
4. Do this as many days as possible this month, allowing yourself to describe your Energy any way you like, without judging or rating or comparing or thinking it should be anything other than it is. Allow your Energy to be exactly as it is. Embrace it. Welcome it into your home.
Quantum Physics and Epigenetics have shown that down at a microscopic level EVERY thing in our world, including your physical body is made of cells and these cells are in constant motion!
Even things that appear solid or inanimate (chairs, books, computers, buildings, food, your hands, legs and feet) are actually a temporary collection of molecules that are swirling around in intricate patterns right now. The human body is comprised of 99% space between these active micro-molecules and the solidity of solid matter is merely an illusion of our perception.
All matter actually “shares” molecules on a regular basis and one example is that science has shown that EVERY person on the planet has shared an argon molecule in their air at one time or another. That means YOU have breathed or will breathe the same molecule of argon as Oprah, Nelson Mandela, Jesus, The Dalai Lama and even Hitler at some time in your life. Talk about connection!
You may tend to think of Energy as a way to describe your stamina or drive, but Energy is so much more. Energy is literally eternal life force running through all beings and objects. Energy is life.
Webster’s definitions of Energy include:
The capacity of being active
A positive spiritual force
The nature of Energy is activity, meaning Energy must flow. When Energy is slowed down or becomes stagnant, the entity loses its life force or active nature. Every illness, depression, malnutrition, accident, perceived “problem”, or misalignment stems from Energy that is stuck. When you experience physical decline, mental anxiety, emotional turbulence or spiritual emptiness, you have pinched off the universal flow-usually without realizing it. The path to healing is through learning to allow the Energy to flow once again. Other words for flow or “to become active” is change, evolution, adaptation, forward motion.
Begin by becoming AWARE of your Energy at different times throughout the day.
Your Human Energy Flow is to:
– Wake up easily in the morning feeling rested
– Go to the bathroom probably within the first hour without any kind of stimulant or laxative
– Eat three meals a day and not feel hungry or have cravings in between
– Feel enthusiastic and content about your day
– Have great memory and stamina
– Go to sleep easily and sleep the whole night through
– Attract and create the life you desire.
Now ask yourself these questions:
How was your Energy in comparison to this description?
How would you describe your Physical Energy? Mental? Emotional? Spiritual?
What can you do to allow Energy to better flow in these areas?
You may have heard of the concept of Your Thriving Environment as The Healing Environment but it goes much deeper than that.
Let’s shift your attention from “fixing” or healing something that is wrong to creating the optimal environment for you to thrive.

What is stress costing you?
– Stress contributes to every known illness and disease and maybe more importantly, it contributes to beautiful souls in human bodies living a less than engaged experience.
– Stress causes far too many people to live in “survive” mode.

The body and the brain can’t tell the difference between REAL stress or PERCEIVED stress and that means your internal stress response is engaged either way and if the stress is prolonged over a period of time it can cause damage – physical, emotional and spiritual.
