The Synod of G.O.C. (Genuine Orthodox Christians) of Archbishop Kallinikos of Athens recently made use of the Law 4301/2014 of the Greek Government. This law has to do with the establishing of so-called religious “communities”.
In Greece, the basic rights of the True Orthodox were already protected by non-profit civil societies, companies, and unions of persons.

When this law concerning the registration of Religious Legal Entities (RLE) came out, it was rejected by most True Orthodox believers and ignored. It would simply have fallen into disuse by the True Orthodox and probably recalled at least as far as the True Orthodox were concerned, because as we will see, it offered denial of the Faith to the True Orthodox in exchange only for worldly benefits. However, the Synod of G.O.C. of Archbishop Kallinikos of Athens saw in this law an opportunity to have privileges from the Greek Government (which currently has a Communist Prime Minister) and also a way to stifle all other True Orthodox groups of Greece and all other dissenters (including members of their own faithful) of their plans.
According to this law, (4301/2014), the State Church of Greece (New Calendar/World Orthodox)
is recognised as the Orthodox Church of Greece without the need to form communities, etc. Also this law exempts and recognises as already known religions, the Muslims of Thrace (Northern Greece) and the Jewish community of Greece (presently officially listed as having only 5000 members in Greece) and thus having no need to subject themselves to gathering signatures and registering “communities”. A respected Greek District Attorney said that this law was “made to order” to entrap the True Orthodox of Greece.

According to Mrs. Stavroula Efstathiadou who is responsible for the Department concerning “the Heterodox and Other Religions” of the Ministry of Education and Religions, and according to Mr. Konstantinos Pittadakis , the head of Religious Administrations of Greece, the Synod of the G.O.C. of Archbishop Kallinikos knowingly agreed to be included in and registered in the category “Heterodox and Other Religions”. In a nation such as Greece, which has its very roots in the Orthodox Faith, to ask to be included in a category that is name “Heterdox and Other Religions” is equal to denying Holy Orthodoxy. By willingly subjecting themselves to Law 4301/2014, the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos “gifted” the title of “Orthodox Church” to the World Orthodox New Calendar Church of Greece, while they (G.O.C. Kallinikos) accepted to be listed as a Heterodox group like the Protestant groups.

According to Law 4301/2014, 300 signing members can form a “community”. When three such “communities” (which in this case was three dioceses of G.O.C. Kallinikos) are united, they can form a Church (not a parish, or a particular Orthodox temple building, but a capital “C” Church!) Instead of objecting to this wording, the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos G.O.C. subjected themselves to Law 4301/2014 and having formed three “communities” of at least least 300 signing members they founded, together with the present Ministry of Education and Religion, a “Church”! These three communities are the Religious Legal Entity G.O.C. of Attiki and Boetia, the RLE G.O.C. of Piraeus, and the RLE G.O.C. of Thessalonica.

The Church that we know and believe in was founded by our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ by His precious Blood and consecrated by the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost.
According to the legal opinion of Mr. Kyriakos Kyriazopoulos, Professor of Ecclesiastical Law of the School of Law of the Aristotelian University of Thessalonica, the G.O.C. Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos, by intentionally registering in the category of “Heterodox and Other Religions” of the Law 18/2018 of the Ministry of Education and Religions, denied the ecclesiastical truth that the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece are the continuation of the unaltered Faith of the Orthodox Christians as it was before 1924.

The court decision 144/1991 and other such court decisions of the Greek State proclaim that the True Orthodox Christians of Greece are neither “heterodox nor another religion” other than the one that the modern Greek Nation held at its founding in 1821 and as mentioned in Article 3 of the Greek Constitution.

The bishops of the new “Religious Legal Entity G.O.C.” didn’t even object to the blasphemous expressions of “Heterodox” and “founding of a Church”. These bishops rushed to ask for “εύπείθεια” – obedience with conformity and compliance (in other words, blind obedience) from their clergy and flock.

But what was “in it” for the bishops of the “Religious Legal Entity G.O.C”?
According to the legal opinion of the Supreme Court Lawyer Mr. Photios Vagenas, the decisions concerning the “communities” of the Religious Legal Entities (RLE) speak about social and financial benefits and privileges from the forming of these “communities” and “Church”. These benefits include tax exemptions, easier transferrals of property rights to the RLE, rights of overseeing, and “ownership” of the title “G.O.C. (ΓΟΧ)” which is used by all the True Orthodox groups of Greece up until now.

The Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos was aided in their forming of the Religious Legal Entity G.O.C. in the category of “Heterodox” by a lawyer name Ioannis Ktistakis. This Ioannis Ktistakis is a legal advisor to the Patriarchate of Constantinople and a personal friend of “Patriarch” Bartholomew (see the article about Bartholomew’s lunch at the home of Ioannis Ktistakis in the newspaper “Orthodoxos Typos” published on June 25, 2018).

I can only say, that once again, the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos has a strange choice of advisors!
Much of our information here presented comes from the research that a certain Mr. Marinos Ritsoudis did. Mr. Ritsoudis, a former lieutenant commander of the Greek Navy, is known for his refusal to board the destroyer ship “Themistocles” when it was being sent by order of the NATO to attack the Serbians in 1999.

The former President of the Supreme Court of Greece, Mr. Vasileios Nikopoulos confirmed in a telephone conversation with Marinos Ritsoudis that the Genuine Orthodox Christians of the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos “illegally and unjustly use Law 4301/2014 and Article 13 of the Constitution”. He went on to say that if the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos wants to be considered as Orthodox, they are covered by Article 3 of the Constitution of Greece as believers of the Orthodox Church of Christ as it was at the time of the founding of the Greek Nation (1821).

The decision of the Council of the State of Greece, the highest administrative court and the highest court for the legal status of administrative acts, in its decision 1444/1991 reaffirms that the Genuine Orthodox Christians of Greece hold to the same doctrines that the Orthodox Church held to at the very foundation of the Greek Nation.

At a meeting at the home of Mr. Anastasios Marinos, Vice President of the Supreme Court of Greece, the Vice President himself assured Mr. Ritsoudis that the G.O.C. of Greece are already covered by Article 3 of the Constitution of Greece and by the legal decisions stating once again that the G.O.C. are Orthodox.

So why join the category “Heterodox – Other Religions”?
Metropolitan Photios, the arch secretary of the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos (now also known as the Religious Legal Entity G.O.C. of the Category of the Heterodox), in an email to Marinos Ritsoudis wrote “that we Genuine Orthodox Christians are the CONTINUATION (emphasis my own) of the predominant religion of Greece (Orthodoxy) is a stupidity”. It is quite clear that Metropolitan Photios doesn’t agree with the above- mentioned legal authorities. Mr. Ritsoudis here comments adding a passage from Article 1 of the Constitution of Greece of 1864 which says, “the predominant religion of Greece is the Eastern Orthodox Church of Christ. Every other known religion is tolerated and may worship freely under the protection of the law, without proselytising or intervention against the predominant religion.”
Does Metropolitan Photios believe that that the True Orthodox Church of Greece is not the continuation of the Eastern Orthodox Church of Christ?
Truly, the recently founded “Church” of the Religious Legal Entity G.O.C. of 2019 is NOT the continuation of the Eastern Orthodox Church of Christ!
Do the 1538 Genuine Orthodox Christians who signed as members of one of the three communities that made up the “Church” of the Religious Legal Entity G.O.C. in the category of “Heterodox” really understand what they signed?

In an article entitled “Fruits of Schism: Part 2”, Fr. Victor Melehov, the RTOC Secretary of the Synod in Massachusetts, criticizes the the leaving of the Lesna Convent from RTOC, as well as the communion established between the Bishops of the Serbian True Orthodox Church with the Bishops who left the Synod of Metropolitan Agafangel.

RTOC clergy have severely criticize the actions of the Lesna Convent, the Serbian True Orthodox Church, as well as the manner in which the absorption by the GOC-K of the former “Synod in Resistance” was conducted. When Bishop Stephan of Trenton, who reposed in August of 2018, departed from the allegiance to the RTOC Synod, he sought to establish a communion with some Bishops who had departed from the Synod of Metropolitan Agafangel, as well as the taking in of several priests from Russia who had departed from RTOC, protesting RTOC’s insistence upon a strict adherent to ecclesiological principles of denying the Grace of the Sacraments in the Moscow Patriarchate. This situation resulted in a separation of groups of clergy, including one Bishop, from the RTOC Synod.

Bishop Makarios of Toronto, the last of the original HOCNA bishops made in the early 1990s, has officially left HOCNA, and applied to join the Lamian Synod in Greece. According to some sources given to NFTU, Bishop Makarios has been accepted by the Lamian Synod. Bishop Makarios explains his departure as based upon the continual promotion by Holy Transfiguration Monastery and the HOCNA First-Hierarch, Metropolitan Gregory, of the condemned Imiaslavie heresy as well as HOCNA’s severance of communion with the Lamian Synod, combined with the insistence by parishioners to remove their diocese from HOCNA.

HOCNA responded by ‘suspending’ Bishop Makarios, and recently making a new HOCNA Bishop for Toronto.

The heart of HOCNA, Holy Transfiguration Monastery, has been plagued by moral scandals for 50 years, revolving around the persistent sexual abuse by the former ‘Elder’ of the Monastery, Fr. Panateleimon, who died in 2015; combining this scandal with his own personal promotion of various heresies, the last of which was Imiaslavie. Most of HOCNA membership departed from the organization around 2012 upon public admission of Fr. Panteleimon’s sexual abuse of monastics, and left for the Synod of Archbishop Kallinikos in Athens.

On June 2, 2019, during a visit to Syria, the Serbian Patriarch Irinej, participated, along with Patriarch John of Antioch, in a join ecumenical service with Monophysite Syro-Jacobite clergy, including the Monopysite patriarch. Patriarch Irinej preached his heretical ecumenist teaching by proclaiming that ” theologians of both churches agreed that we confess the same belief in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Word.”

Even more explicitly, Patriarch Irinej fundamentally denied the authority of the Ecumenical Councils which anathematized the Monophysite heretics, and proclaimed that the “Syriac Church” and his own Serbian “Church” were, in fact, “One Church”:

“What unites us is love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; we are one Church, although, sorrowfully, the historical circumstances had divided us”.

It is clear that the Serbian Patriarch, along with the Antiochian Patriarchate [which has already an agreed ecumenical agreement with the Monophysites allowing joint sharing of ‘sacraments’ in some cases], has already in essence, by denying the anathema of the Ecumenical Councils and teachings of the Fathers and Saints about there heresy of the Syro-Jacobites, confirms its already apostate state from the Orthodox Church.

The Synodikon of the Holy Spirit, appointed to be read on Pentecost Monday, among many definition, decrees, and anathemas of the Church, proclaims:

“To those who scorn the venerable and holy ecumenical Synods, and who despise even more their dogmatic and canonical traditions; and to those who say that all things were not perfectly defined and delivered by the synods, but that they left the greater part mysterious, unclear, and untaught, ANATHEMA.”

“To those who hold in contempt the sacred and divine canons of our blessed fathers, which, by sustaining the holy Church of God and adorning the whole Christian Church, guide to divine reverence, ANATHEMA.”

“To all things innovated and enacted contrary to the Church tradition, teaching, and institution of the holy and ever-memorable fathers, or to anything henceforth so enacted, ANATHEMA.”

Various additional decrees against joint prayer with the non-Orthodox as well as decrees against uniting with, or participating in heresy, as well as removing or denying the anathemas of the Church, while well known, are officially denied by modern ecumenists, who view themselves, in their blasphemy, as superior to the Fathers and Councils.

(Clearwater, FL) Over a decade ago, we reported on the arrest of Fr Koumianos Hatzileris (when he was with the Synod of Gregory of Colorado) soliciting a prostitute and getting an undercover cop instead. Well, two decades later and at over 70 years old, he’s back with a sexual battery charge!

Hatzileris, a retired priest of the Greek Orthodox Traditionalist Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Clearwater (who somehow still retained credibility somewhere as a priest in Florida) was arrested Monday for sexual battery on a woman (while robed, according to WFLA) at his Tarpon Springs home.

Apparently he was a retired priest of a few weeks of the HOTCA, when the incident occurred. The woman was not a parishioner. He has been suspended indefinitely from serving, according to Bishop Christodoulos of New York. While depositions are rare, particularly for old, old people, repeat sexual offenders in the cloth are particularly controversial nowadays.

This past December 18th (NS), hundreds of armed Jewish settlers led an attack on the ancient Orthodox monastery of Mar Saba, raiding the building, terrifying laity and monastics, and using the building for Jewish services.

This attack represents just one of many attacks by Jews and the Jewish state upon the professed Christian population of Palestine; little or no report is given by Western media, especially since Jews who dominate Western media, along with pro-Zionist “Christian” organizations allied with them, will not report or criticize the Jewish supremacist state of “Israel” (the current US Presidential administration is extreme Zionist in is policy).  Many Zionist organizations and dominated governments in the United States have moved closer to even passing ‘laws against anti-semitism’ in order to appease the domineering power of the Israeli lobby.

A non-Jewish and professed Christian population in Palestine exists in contradiction to the founding goals and purpose of the so-called “State of Israel”, which is a Jewish supremacist state and believes in maintaining the supremacy of Jews over other ethnic groups and races.

NFTU:  Greece is still plagued, as is much of the Europe and the world, by Marxist and related Anarchist terrorist organizations [often one sees them as “Black Bloc”]; in America they are often referred to as “Antifa” and allied organizations.  The ruling coalition in Greece, Syriza [which stands for “Coalition of the Radial Left”], a pro-EU ruling party, is led by aggressive secularist and atheist Communist, Alexis Tsipras.

ATHENS – The homemade bomb that exploded outside a church in Greece’s Capital, the latest in an uptick in apparent terrorist activities, was made up of  of two containers with flammable liquid, wires and a clock, the state-run news agency ANA-MPA reported.

The device went off outside Aghios Dionysios church in the upscale Kolonaki neighborhood, a hangout for politicians and the rich, adjacent to the anarchist stronghold of Exarchia, the opposite sides of Greek life side-by-side.

New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis called for zero tolerance of violence, in a tweet condemning the explosion.

On the night of New Calendar December 24th, the ecumenist Patriarch of Serbia, Irinei, allowed the local Anglican community to use one of his churches in Belgrade, as well as attended the Anglican Christmas services. Patriarch Irinei is well-known for his ecumenical views and practices, such as participating in Jewish religious services. The Serbian Patriarchate since the mid 20th century has involved itself in ever greater ways in the heresy of ecumenism and the heretical ecumenical movement, while simultaneously departing more and more from traditional Orthodox praxis [for example, baptism by triple immersion, while known in the Serbian Patriarchate, is no longer widely practiced].

The newly-created Ukrainian Church needs to work on softening its views towards the LGBT community and supporting the gay community in Ukraine in order to not be like the conservative Russian Church, “Metropolitan” Epiphany Dumenko, the head of Ukraine’s new nationalist church said in a recent phone conversation.

Epiphany was called by Russian pranksters claiming to be David McAllister, a German member of the European Parliament, calling to offer congratulations on his election and support for the future of the new Ukrainian church. Interestingly, the callers spoke in English and Epiphany responded in Russian.

Epiphany told the callers that he was ready for immediate reforms in the church and for working towards softening the church’s stance towards the LGBT community in order to be more like Europe and less like Russia.

“Unfortunately, not all Ukrainians share western tolerance, but without this, you cannot be part of the European family, and the church usually has a conservative position. But you have the opportunity to lead this movement—making Ukraine part of Europe. This is not a question for today, but it should not be delayed,” the pranksters said.

Epiphany responded:

Of course, I am for starting reforms in the church, so there wouldn’t be conservatism, so we would depart from Russian tradition and so the church would be open and a spiritual guide for the Ukrainian people. Because we are moving towards Europe, and therefore we should depart from the Russian conservative tradition. The church should be more open, because Russian Orthodoxy is very conservative and far from the people. I have the position that we should be with the people. We should understand their problems.

“I know that the Church has a conservative position, and if the new church will soften its position regarding the LGBT community, the gays of Ukraine, and it will take liberal values, it will be a great stimulus to develop European values. We spoke with Secretary Pompeo and he agrees that you should the increase your LGBT and gay values in the future,” the callers responded.
