When I first walked into the bridal suite to see Lexis, my breath was completely taken away. Each choice that she made for her attire was absolutely beautiful. After this session, I think I’ve decided that The Sutherland is one of my favorite locations for a bridal session, especially during this time of the year. The beautiful greenery, blooming flowers, and gorgeous Southern porches are all perfect backdrops for a glowing bride, just like Lexis. Lexis is so easy to photograph. She has an effortless demeanor about her and her smile is truly contagious.

Lexis and Patrick were married this past weekend and it was a day that I’ll never forget!

I met Lane and William through some mutual friends, which allowed us to immediately click. Sine their wedding I have had the fun opportunity to hang out with them a couple of times with our friends, and it reminds me how sweet this job is. How so many of my clients become friends that I am so incredibly grateful for!

Every bit of Lane and William’s wedding day was beautiful. They happened to get married at the same place Andrew and I did and her bridesmaids even wore the same dresses as mine, so I was feeling all sorts of sentimental on their wedding day. For a March wedding the weather turned out beautifully and we got perfect glimpses of the golden sunset! Their bridal party was so sweet and easy to work with, making the day all the more fun.

After they said their “I do’s” At Holy Trinity, we headed back to Carolina Country Club to dance the night away to Liquid Pleasure, and let me tell you it was SO fun. You might have even noticed that Liquid Pleasure also played at their rehearsal dinner. William’s family has been long time friends and fans of the band, and this wedding weekend was one of only two times the band has played for the same couple back to back nights! Every aspect of their wedding was tied to their friends and family and the relationships that have surrounded them both individually and as a couple. Making their wedding day not only beautiful, but also so meaningful.

Lane and William, thank you for allowing me to capture this season of your lives. It was definitely one for the books!

Lane and William’s rehearsal dinner was SO them. Every detail, all the guests, and the band kicked off their wedding weekend in the very best way!

I cannot wait for you to see all that their beautiful wedding entailed, but until then, I wanted to share their gorgeous rehearsal dinner. Every bit of it was a tribute to who they are and their relationship. Taking place at a Raleigh staple, The Angus Barn, they used the space to allow their guests to enjoy the beginning of an awesome weekend. Then danced the night away to Liquid Pleasure!

These two just so happen to be our 2019 Wedding Photography giveaway winners! They are getting married this July in JAMAICA!!

But before we head to the islands for them to say “I do”, we went right down the road to the Art Museum here in Raleigh for some engagement photos. These two are laid back and just ready to be married. After attending many weddings last year, when they got engaged they decided that they didn’t want to plan the traditional wedding state side, so they looked into a few beautiful destinations and come July we will be heading to Jamaica so they can officially tie the knot. Getting to do this session in Raleigh, however, was so sweet. This is where they went to school and fell in love and plays such a big role in their story; so getting to capture part of this season here was extra special.

I can’t wait to photograph their beautiful, ocean front wedding so soon; until then you can find me staring at the beautiful light in these pictures!

I was so excited to finally photograph this sweet baby girl. Jen and I had emailed a few times before her little one was born and it was through that communication we realized we were basically neighbors! Funny story: I actually met them weeks before their baby girl was born when they were on a walk in front of our home! We also take class at the same fitness studio and it’s been so fun to see Jen early mornings a few times a week! But back to little Hampton! She was a total dream to capture and her nursery was definitely one of the best rooms in the house! Her mama has incredible taste! The white wicker bassinet had been passed down through multiple generations and I’m pretty sure she was the 14th child to use it! Isn’t that amazing? During our session Jen snapped an Iphone pic to send to her grandma and she was so thrilled to see another newborn taking her turn in this family heirloom. Cue the tears! Stephenson Family – y’all were the most fun to work with! Hampton has such a gift to have parents like you. Thank you so much for letting me be part of this special time in your lives.

During Clay’s dad’s toast he said something that has stuck with me since Paige and Clay’s wedding day “You two are looked up to by so many including both of your parents.” That has to be one of the sweetest compliments I have ever heard, and it could not be more true for these two. Paige and Clay are extraordinary. During their engagement, Jamie and I got to know them beyond just being one of my clients, and they are truly some of the most kindest people I have ever met. Their faith runs deep, their servant hearts are genuine and their love for one another is selfless.

When you get to be involved in someone’s wedding day in such an intimate way like photography, you really get a glimpse into a couple’s life. You get to witness some of their most intimate moments – watching first looks, hearing heartfelt prayers and witnessing emotions that potentially will only be felt a couple of times in a lifetime. Paige and Clay’s wedding day was no different, and every moment throughout the day was so heartfelt and genuine, just like the two of them.

Paige and Clay, I am so excited to see all that The Lord does through your marriage! The best is yet to come!

I was so excited when I pulled up to the Lyerly’s sprawling property just outside of Raleigh. It was an absolute perfect setting for photos of this new family of four. I got to spend some time with Ellie’s older sister and it was so fun to get to give her some special attention before we moved onto baby. Her facial expressions were just the best! She was so tender towards her little sister and I think I could have watched them together for hours! Ellie has the most adorable newborn features. We even caught her smiling! Lylerly Fam – you guys have the the most darling family. I am so grateful to have captured your girls first moments together and I have no doubt they will share many more!

This beautiful bride is now a married woman! I had so much fun capturing her beautiful bridal session at a place that means so much to her. Her sweet mama joined us and we laughed the whole time and couldn’t get over how beautiful the weather was. I always love doing bridal sessions in Chapel Hill during the spring because there are so many gorgeous spots, and of course the Carolina Inn makes for the most beautiful backdrop for bridals!

I cannot wait for y’all to see all the beauty that was Carson’s wedding day, but for now, enjoy these gorgeous portraits!

Ali and Walker are getting married at Walker’s family’s home, so we decided it might be a good idea for me to come see it and walk through their vision of the property of their wedding. While we were at it, we thought what better time to take some engagement pictures! With them being out of town it made it easier for them to do it all in one visit! I always tell couples who live out of town, there is definitely a way to make an engagement session work even with the distance, and it is always.so.worth.it. Ali and Walker are so genuine and easy going, walking around the property and talking about their vision for their wedding day was so fun. The grounds are beautiful and although it was a little cloudy, we lucked out with the perfect temperature.

Ali and Walker, I can’t wait to capture you two in this same spot again, so soon! For now, we will just have to swoon over these beauties!
