Create an Experience

We’re living in the Experience Economy! What does that mean?

People are not just looking for nuggets, they’re looking for an experience! So how can you deliver that to your audience?

Here’s the deal. When people come to your Social Media platform, they’re looking for 2 things:

  • content that makes them feel good;
  • content that’s going to make them look good when they share it!

For example, instead of going Live and talking about “5 Reasons You’re Not Losing Weight”, do a Live about “5 Ways to Start Turning Heads This Summer”.

PRO Tip: Take a new nugget you’ve learned, implement it, get some results and then share it with your audience! People will appreciate your content so much more because of the results you’ve created!

Be Consistent

Do you go Live every day? And do you offer the same type of value every time you show up? 

Consistency is KING!

Because if you’re not generating leads at the beginning — that’s all right. It’s not about that anyway! In fact, at the very beginning, it’s all about creating social equity!

That’s right! Think of creating valuable content as making a deposit to your bank account. By time, you’ll have gathered so much social equity that you’ll be able to actually start making significant withdrawals!

Stick to the 80:20 Rule

It’s true what they say — you are your business.

BUT! You’re not a walking, talking billboard for that business. So stick to the 80:20 rule!

What does that mean? It means that you should provide valuable content about 80% of the time and content directed towards your business — only 20% of the time.

Sure, you can talk about a new launch that’s coming up or about the results your customers are getting. But just make sure you pepper that type of content in rather than making it the main thing!

Spice Things Up With Live Video

How personal do you get with your audience?

People want to have an experience. They want to feel like they know you! And that type of content actually gives you that likability and credibility factor, so it’s a win-win!

And how can you get more personal than going Live?

Yes! Provide people with an exclusive look inside your life! Where do you go shopping? What did you learn in the last seminar you took? How do you prepare for a broadcast? All things your viewers want to know!

It’s All About The Mindset

Do you want to become the best? Then you’ve got to get your mindset dialed in!

As Jim Rohn says, “The greatest reward in becoming a millionaire is not the amount of money that you earn. It is the kind of person that you have to become to become a millionaire in the first place.”

That’s why you can’t get discouraged when things don’t go right. That’s the way it’s supposed to be!

Remember That It’s A Journey

You’ll be bad before you’re good, good before you’re great and great before you’re exceptional!

That’s just the path every successful person needs to take. Overnight success is very rare, and even if does happen — either the person has worked hard for years before anyone noticing, or their success doesn’t last. Why? PRO Tip: Your content is more important than the quality of your video. If your picture isn’t crystal clear, it doesn’t matter as long as what you’re saying is important to your viewers!

Discovering Content

Before we dive deeper into the simple YouTube plan for your content, let’s take a look at how people actually find content on the platform.

#1: YouTube Search

This is the search bar, located right on the top of the website. When people look for certain topics or keywords, they type them in there. The results they get are called Ranked Videos.

PRO Tip: Install a Chrome Extension called VidIQ.

VidIQ gives you inside information about the videos you watch on YouTube! When you open a video, you’ll be able to see the tags on the video, what it ranks for and other cool details about its optimization. And the best part? You can see this information for your own videos as well as for your competitors!

#2: Suggested Videos

When people watch a certain video, on the right-hand side, YouTube gives them suggestions for other videos they might like. That’s where the magic happens. Most YouTubers get their biggest traffic from Suggested Videos.

So what can you do?

Create video series and dominate your own suggested videos! In other words, the more videos you record, the higher the chance that YouTube will suggest them to the right viewers!

#3: Google Search

Did you know that pages with videos on them are 53X more likely to rank on the first page of Google search results?

That’s right! Google will not only suggest to people your videos on YouTube, but it will also rank your website higher if you’ve embedded the videos there!

Your YouTube Plan

Now, it’s time to roll up our sleeves and get to work! Because YouTube might not have to take a lot of time but it still requires some work.

So what can you do? Set as a goal to release a new video a week. How can you do that? Follow these 5 steps:

Step #1: Write Down 4 Video Ideas

That’s right — 4 video ideas will be enough for a whole month-worth of content!

But before you do — be strategic, so you can create content people actually want to watch!

Go to the YouTube search bar and start writing the keywords that apply to your niche. YouTube will give you a drop-down menu of the most searched terms! Those are your ideas right there! And the more specific you get — the better!

PRO Tip: When you put an underscore before your search term, YouTube will put it in a phrase or a sentence that people are looking for!

Step #2: Schedule a Shooting Session

What gets scheduled, gets done.

That’s why it’s crucial to choose a certain time block and set it aside for recording your videos. And in order to make the most out of it, be sure to prepare before you start. For example, you can write down the bullet points you want to cover before you hit that record button.

Step #3: Show Up

Remember: done is better than perfect. So let go of the perfection-itis and just do it.

Follow through on your promise and you’ll see how by time, you’ll get better! After all, you’re there to provide value and offer support to your audience. You have a miracle in your mouth and the world needs to hear it!

Step #4: Record 4 Videos at Once

Think about it — that’s only 12 video shooting session a year! That way, you won’t be working overtime to deliver yet more content to a new Social Media platform. You’ll be blocking a few hours once a month, and you’ll be creating valuable content for one whole year! How cool is that?!

Step #5: Repeat the Process

Yes! Just keep showing up! Even when you don’t see massive results in the beginning, don’t worry — that’s completely normal! But remember: consistent is the key to success!

What is a Referral Post?

A Referral Post simply a post that a customer makes to promote your product in exchange for an incentive.

Here’s how it works:

  • you create a post for one of your customers;
  • that customer publishes the post on their timeline;
  • they tag you in the post;
  • any and all comments, likes, and shares on the post are handled by YOU!

The aim of this Referral Post is for your customer to show how excited they are about the product they’re using, to show their results and to tag you in the post, saying to people that if they want more information, you’ll reach out to them.

Why are Referral Posts so Powerful?

On the one hand, people love to get recommendations from their friends for great products. On the other, people l-o-v-e even more to share an amazing experience or an incredible result they’ve had.

And how can you tap into this goldmine? Incentivize your customers to promote your product! Just tell them “I’ll give you a free product/samples. All you have to do is publish this post I’ve created for you and tag me in it. I’ll take care of the rest”.

That’s it. It’s that simple! Once they’ve published the post, all you have to do is reach out to the prospects who are commenting on it.

That way you’re getting your customers, who might not have otherwise been interested in Network Marketing, to market to their warm network and generate qualified leads for you! How genius is this?!

How Do You Create a Referral Post?

Follow up with your customers 2 weeks after they’ve started using your product. What was their initial struggle? And what are the results they’re seeing now?

Listen to what they have to say and use their words to create the post. That way, it will sound more authentic and your customers will be much more willing to publish it on their wall!

What does that tell you? That you need to be on LinkedIn! And you need to be sharing valuable content, connecting with people and building your network. Because if you do it now, you’ll be able to reap a lot of benefits in the future!

LinkedIn is one of the BEST places to look for leads! In 2018, companies reported that more than 80% of their leads came from the platform! And those are companies that market on Facebook, Instagram, and other Social Media platforms. But nothing can compare to LinkedIn.

Why? Because LinkedIn is a professional network. People expect to be offered a new opportunity or a product or service, and they’re much more open to taking a look!

So what can you in order to start tapping into this goldmine? Here are the best tools and strategies you can use in order to crush it!

Free Account vs Premium Account

We all know the saying, “You need to spend money to make money”. Fortunately, that’s NOT the case with LinkedIn!

You can start recruiting people like a PRO right now and produce massive results, all with a completely FREE account!

Of course, there are some advantages to having a Premium Account, such as:

  • Having an “open profile” — it allows anyone to contact you for free;
  • Seeing the people who viewed your profile in the last 90 days;
  • InMail capabilities — it allows you to message anyone;
  • Additional search filters
  • And many MORE!

That all sounds great! But, it’s highly recommended that you upgrade to a Premium Account only once you start getting some traction.

Setting Up Your Profile

Your profile is the way you want to present yourself to the world and is the key to your success!

So think about it in the same way you think about your Facebook profile. You want to:

  • Brand your profile to YOU, not your company;
  • Pique people’s interest
  • Create curiosity!

PRO Tip #1: NEVER mention the name of your company! That’s great advice for any platform but it’s especially true for LinkedIn as most of the selling and recruiting you’ll do, will happen behind the scenes in the Private Messages!

PRO Tip #2: Write the way you talk! Sure, your language needs to be a little more sophisticated than on other Social Media platforms but it still needs to sound authentic.

PRO Tip #3: Do you want to 3X your connections? Add VIDEO to your profile! In fact, adding 2-3 of your best videos (they can be old Facebook Lives or just something pre-recorded) will help you build better rapport with your audience!

The “Endless Prospects” Strategy

First things first. People on LinkedIn are called “Connections” and there are 4 different types:

  • 1st degree — people you’re directly connected to (your Friends)
  • 2nd degree — people who are connected to your 1st degree connections (Friends of Friends)
  • 3rd degree — connected to your 2nd degree connections
  • Out of network — who fall outside of the other categories

Why is this important?

Oftentimes, when people join LinkedIn for the first time, they start to connect to everyone. That’s a mistake. LinkedIn asks you why you reject someone’s connection request and they can simply say “Because I don’t know them”. If you get too many of these rejections, you might end up in LinkedIn Jail.

So what’s a better strategy? The “Endless Prospects” Strategy!

Here’s how it works:

Step #1: Do a Search

The search bar is located in the top left corner. There you can search for various criteria and find people you have things in common with, such as previous company, job title, background, location, interests, etc.

That way it would be much easier to start a conversation and build rapport.

LinkedIn will give you your 1st degree connections, so you might as well start there, and reach out to the people you already know. But the gold hides in the 2nd degree connections!

Step #2: Reach Out to Your 2nd Degree Connections

2nd degree connections can see who your common friends are. That makes them much more likely to accept your invitation.

Once they do, refresh your search. A whole new pool of 2nd degree connections will show up! That’s where to gold is!

What should you go next?

Simply hit “Connect” and that’s it!

PRO Tip: Don’t write a customized Request Message. That takes too long you if you want to go through many people, you won’t have time for it. Instead, wait until they’ve accepted your request and then send them a Message. You can find those people when you go to “My network” and then “Recently added”. LinkedIn will give you a list of the people who added you last.

Message The Prospect

Now the only thing that’s left is for you to start a conversation. It’s important to note that you have to be a little more professional in your tone as this is a business platform and a certain standard is expected. It’s also a really good idea to:

  • Mention the connection you have with the person;
  • Make sure you create curiosity;
  • Ask them a question to keep the conversation going.

For example, you can say something like: “Hey, [name]! It’s great to connect with you on LinkedIn. I see that we have a common background working for ABC company. How long have you worked there?/Do you know so and so?”

Your main goal is to see if people would be willing to answer you. If they don’t — there’s no need to send them your offer. But if they do, you can immediately proceed to do so because you can be more direct here.

Follow Up

Is the prospect not answering? Then send them a simple follow up message!

It can be something along these lines, “Hey, [name]! I’m an entrepreneur and one of the reasons I wanted to connect with you is because I’m looking to expand my business in your area. I love working with sharp, successful people like yourself. Are you or anyone you know looking for a change?”

Closing like a PRO

Get them on the phone. Yes, it’s a little less conventional than regular online prospecting but this works so well! And it might feel scary at first but the more you do it, the better you’ll become!

Furthermore, now LinkedIn started copying many of the features that Facebook has. LinkedIn is one of them! So now you have the opportunity to start ATMing people right on LinkedIn! Use an app called VideoShow.

Disclaimer: I use the PRO version of the app. At the time of the writing of this article, the price is $19.99, but my experience has proven that it’s totally worth it.

When you open the app, go to the option that says “Super Camera”. Once there, you’ll notice a small circle at the bottom left corner. When you click it, it will give you several Filters to choose from.

Use the Beauty Filter to airbrush your face in real time. That way you’re going to look gorgeous even if you haven’t done your make up!

Step #2: Edit Your Video

Now that you have your video ready, it’s time to edit it!

How can you do that?

One option is to use VideoShow. It’s really easy and it produces great results.

However, an even better option is iMovie! It’s even easier to use and the quality is amazing! You can add music, cut out unnecessary parts or move things around — the choice is yours!

Step #3: Make Your Video Platform-Specific

Think about where you’ll be posting your video.

Facebook? Make sure you’ve recorded it in landscape mode.

LinkedIn? Then you would need to make it as short as possible, so you’d have to cut out unnecessary bits.

IGTV? Turn your video from a landscape to a portrait mode. The best way to do that is with an app called InShot.

When you open the app, click on the Video option. Then import your landscape footage and wait.

The app will automatically turn your video around and it will create a cool, blurred-out look on the sides.

That’s it! It’s that simple!

The 15/7 Formula Or When Should You Talk About Your Business?

Do you know what annoys your potential prospects more than anything else? Infomercial channels. So don’t be one. Instead of constantly talking about your product or business, try to bring value and mix things up!

We use the 15/7 formula and it does miracles! It means that you make posts 15 times per week.

We know 15 might seem like a high number but it’s not. Here’s how it works:

  • 10 posts/week that are fun, personal, lifestyle or bring generic value;
  • 4 posts/week that offer nonchalant promotion of your business aka. curiosity posts;
  • 1 power post/week that’s a direct promotion (but don’t say the name of your product or business, so people would have to reach out to you to get the information).

IMP: Save your premium content for your newsfeed and anything else – post to your Stories! Facebook is now rewarding content that’s posted less often but is of higher quality. For example, if you post on your timeline in the morning, make sure that your next post is at least 6-9 hours later. And if you want to share more things throughout the day, just use Stories! Facebook will love you!

As time goes by, people will start to look at you in a different way. They’ll think of you as an authority, and as someone they can trust. And then BOOM! You’ve got yourself a wide audience of people who are now interested in buying your product an/or joining your business.

And once they express curiosity, simply use the ATM Facebook Group strategyadd them in your Facebook Group, tag them in a post, and message them to see what they think about it.

If You Don’t Have a Facebook Group Now…

… Go ahead and create one. Yes, make a secret Group, which you can use to promote your product or to recruit people!

Next, add an Announcement post that welcomes everyone and tells them what the purpose of the Group is, and how they can use it. Make sure all new people are tagged in the comments of the post. And that’s how the ATM Facebook Group Strategy works!

Let us explain. When someone reaches out to you to ask about your product or business, simply say: “Great question, I found a way to make money using Facebook. OMG… you have to see this. I’m busy right now but I’d love to add you to our secret community and I’ll tag you in a video. It’s real short and sweet, and it tells you exactly what we do — you’ve got to check it out!

After that, tag them in the pinned post, and say: “This is the video I was telling you about”. Additionally, send them a message that goes a little something like this: “I tagged you in the video, I think you’re going to love it, let’s talk again tomorrow”.

And on the next day, simply follow up. Ask them if they have questions. And if they do, you can write something like: “Great question, let me introduce you to my partners and my mentors, they can help answer your questions” (click here if you need some more guidance on how to close those prospects).

That way, you’re getting yourself out of the way and letting someone more experienced answer their queries. You’re outsourcing your work, and getting higher results in return. Amazing, right?

How to Repurpose Your Facebook Lives For Instagram TV

How To Repurpose Facebook Videos For IGTV & Convert Them To Vertical Video - Easy Tutorial - YouTube

Are you already crushing it on Facebook? Do you go Live on a regular basis? That’s amazing!

Now you can take those Live videos, edit them a little, and upload them to Instagram. That’s called “repurposing” and with a minimal effort, you create a piece of content for a whole new platform!

So how exactly do you go about repurposing your broadcasts?

Disclaimer: All of the steps below are done on mobile but you can follow them on your laptop as well!

Step #1: Download Your Facebook Lives

Download the videos you want to repurpose. You can either:

  • download them directly through Facebook (though the platform naturally diminishes the quality of the broadcast, so avoid that if you can)

OR

  • save them at the end of the broadcast — Facebook will give you this option when your Livestream finishes. Just click on it and save the file on your phone.
Step #2: Edit The Video

Now your video is ready for editing. You can take it as is but in most cases, it might need a little tweaking in order to make it IGTV appropriate.

You can use one of these apps to edit your broadcast:

  • iMovie – it’s really simple to use. You just upload the video, cut out the parts you don’t like, add a transition or two, and #BOOM — your video is almost ready to rock IGTV
  • VideoShow – another very simple app to use. We usually record and edit our videos with it.
Step #3: Adjust The Format

Is your video in Landscape format? If you just finished shooting a Facebook Live, it most probably is. So in order to make it Instagram appealing, you need to turn the format into Portrait.

How can you do that? It’s really easy! Just do this:

Download an app called InShot.

When you open it, click on the Video feature. Next: import the Landscape footage of your video.

The app will automatically turn your video into a Vertical one and it will give you a blurred-out look on the sides. You can also add stickers and other cool features to make your video more fun.

Then simply click on the right-hand corner and save the video to your phone! That’s it! Now your video is Instagram-friendly and the only thing left to do is upload it there!

PRO Tip: Play with different formats. Do a Facebook Live vertically. It’s performing really well right now because people are consuming more and more content on mobile. And as they’re scrolling through their feed, if your video takes more space, they’re more likely to take a look.

Step #4: Upload Your Video to Instagram

It’s time to upload your video to IGTV!

When you open your Instagram profile, right below your bio, you’ll see the icon for IGTV. Click on it. Then go to the “+” symbol and choose the video you want to load.

Once you have your video in place, you can choose a custom thumbnail for the cover of your IGTV episode or you can select a specific screenshot that presents you in the best light possible.

Then go to “Next”. There you’ll see the option to create a “title” and a “description”. Make the title as compelling as you can because it’s the first thing people will see and they’ll make a split-second decision to either watch the video or not based on it.

As for the description — it resembles a regular caption on Instagram, so make sure it’s interesting and use emojis to make it more fun.

Step #5: Promote Your IGTV

Congratulations! You now have your IGTV episode ready to go! But if you want to get as many eyes on it as you possibly can with the least amount of effort, here are 3 tips you can implement right away!

Tip #1: 1-min Preview

As you’re uploading your video, you’ll notice an option that says “Share Preview to Feed”. When you turn it on, you will get a 1-min preview that will show up on your newsfeed. So even if someone comes to your profile long after the video has been uploaded, they can still see it! In fact, this feature is the reason why IGTV started blowing up in the first place!

Tip #2: Hashtags

They work the same way as hashtags do on a regular post. Use as many of them as you can (20-25 would be optimum) and make sure they’re relevant to the topic you’re discussing. Add them as a first comment, so they don’t overload your description.

Tip #3: Stories

Now that your IGTV is Live, go to it and click the “airplane” icon that’s next to the “heart” and “comment” button. It will give you the option to “Add Video to Your Story”. Just click on that and you’re done! Now everyone will see your brand new IGTV!

PRO Tip: You can add even your regular posts to your Stories, so you can get more reach. Follow the same logic: click on the airplane icon and “Add Post to Your Story”!

That’s why, the best thing you can do right now is to take a moment and ask yourself, “Where is my audience?”. They might be on Instagram. Or even LinkedIn or YouTube. Consider the demographics you’re attracting and simply start showing up where they are. The results will surprise you!

And you don’t have to create a whole new video for it! Once you do a Facebook Live, just repurpose the video for IGTV (or have someone else do it for you) and upload it! It’s that simple.

#2: LinkedIn

Are you targeting people who are already professionals and maybe have their own business? Then LinkedIn in the place for you!

And the amazing thing about this platform is that it’s starting to become more user-friendly and to emulate Facebook. Now they have Groups, audio messages, and Live videos. In other words, you can translate the ATM system into LinkedIn with ease!

#3: YouTube

Think about it! Your time, as an entrepreneur, costs at the very least $100/h. If you find someone who would be able to help you for 10 hours/week for $5/h, that’s only $50 that you’ll spend. But now, you’ll have 10 free hours which equates to $1,000!

And can choose what to do with those 10 free hours. You can use them to focus on money-making activities. Or you can choose to spend them with your family and loved ones. Either way, for a very small price, you can get closer to the life of your dreams!

So how can you go about hiring a Virtual Assistant?

7 Steps to Hiring Your First Virtual Assistant Step #1: Clarify What You Are Outsourcing

Disclaimer: there’s no such thing as a Super Virtual Assistant.

If you want to have someone who will create graphics for your Social Media, who will edit your videos, and who will write your blog, it’s time for a reality check.

These types of tasks require different sets of skills. You might be able to find someone to do all of them but that will be a very rare exception. So let’s be strategic.

Do this exercise. Take a pen and a piece of paper and set aside 20-30 min. Then list down every single thing you do in a week. From getting your nails done to packing lunch for the kids, what are your everyday activities?

Next, take a highlighter and mark which tasks bring you money.

When you’re finished, you’ll realize just how much time you’re wasting on things that don’t bring you any joy and that you can simply outsource to someone else! So take the digital tasks you have and put them on a separate list.

Step #2: Create a Job Description

Now that you have every task in one place, all you have to do is create a short and precise job description.

Don’t overthink it. Just Google “job description template” and you’ll find many options. Choose the one that works best for you and insert the list of repetitive tasks you have.

That’s it!

Step #3: Go to Upwork.com

Have you heard of upwork.com? It’s an online platform where you can easily find professional Virtual Assistants who are looking to work remotely and it’s the bomb dot com. Most of my virtual team comes from Upwork.

What you need to do is set up a profile and post your job. The process is very easy and the platform walks you through it.

There are several things to keep in mind when working with Upwork:

  • They serve as the middleman and in order to ensure your safety and the safety of your employees, they will charge you a small service fee.
  • Put in your Job Description that the work will be paid per hour. That way, the freelancers will be asked to log in hours and Upwork will track their activity and take random screenshots of what they’re doing. Then, you’ll have the opportunity to go and check exactly what they’ve done for you.
  • You have the option to set your preferences — the region of the world you want your Virtual Assistant to be from, the level of English you’d like them to have, the types of skills you’re looking for, etc.
Step #4: Review the Candidates

When you post your job, you’ll start receiving applications. Sort through them and pick 3-5 candidates you like the most.

It’s important to keep in mind that if someone has an excellent application but their price per hour is too high, you can always negotiate. Take a look at their profile. If their previous job was for $4/h, and they’re asking you for $10, you can talk to them to get the price down. 

After you’ve picked the people you like, invite them for an interview.

Step #5: The Interview

This is a very crucial step. During the interview, look for personality traits more than for technical skills. You can always teach your Virtual Assistant how to run a Facebook ad but it’s next to impossible to teach them to have an eye for detail or a spirit of excellence.

Additionally, check out their Upwork history and the feedback they’ve gotten. If you’re hiring a graphic designer, you can also look at their portfolio and see if you like their style.

Step #6: Do a Sample Task

At the end of the interview, ask them to do a simple task. For example, they can do research for you or you can ask them to look at your website and give you suggestions for improvement. And remember to give them a deadline.

This is a very nice way to check how each candidate thinks and works. And if you can’t make up your mind about who would be best, this test will help you make the decision.

Step #7: Hire Your Virtual Assistant!

Congratulations! You now have your very own Virtual Assistant!

But! You also need to be cautious. Tell them, “I’m looking for some help because my business is growing. This is a temporary job that could potentially evolve into a position on a consistent basis.

That way, if they’re not the right person for you, you have an easy way out when their “trial” period ends. And if they are the right person, you can just continue working with them.

  • It costs 16X more to build a long-term relationship with a new customer than to build loyalty with your already existing customers;
  • A customer will spend, on average, almost 70% more in their 3rd year of buying from you, than they would in their 1st year.

In other words, working with your already existing customers is cheaper, it takes less time and it brings you a lot more results. And the same is true for your recruits. It’s much easier to help someone increase their sales volume or grow their team than it is to recruit new people and sell them on their idea of having their own business all over again.

The Big Mistake Most Network Marketers Do

Most Network Marketers (and most salespeople, in general) think that the sale is done when the physical transaction of a customer buying your product or a prospect joining your team is done. The truth? That’s just the beginning.

We’re often taught to recruit more customers and new teammates. And that’s true — new people are the life of any business. But if those new people just join and then leave, buy and then never repeat again, you don’t have a leveraged business, you have a job.

So what can you do to change that?

The Solution

It’s all about the mindset! Think of professional sprint runners. When they cross the finish line, do they stop running? No. They keep going because of all of the momentum they’ve gained. And the same should apply to you and your business.

People need to get results and it’s your job to help them along the way. Here are 4 simple tips you can use to do exactly that.

Tip #1: Sell the Transformation

People don’t buy your products, they buy the solution your products offer. That’s why it’s crucial for you to focus on the benefits of losing weight or having leveraged income.

And here’s the thing. People get excited about it for a while, and then life happens, and they forget why they were so excited until they start seeing the results. That’s why you need to remind them what the benefit will be for them.

And the best part? This doesn’t take more than a 5-10 min conversation with your customer or your new recruit.

Tip #2: Lead, Don’t Teach

What’s the difference between teaching and leading?

When we get new people in our organization, we tend to give them all the information about the product they will ever need. But that just overwhelms them. And what do people do when they feel overwhelmed? Nothing. So keep it simple!

Having all this information is great, but new people don’t need it. What they need is for you to be their leader — to cheer them on and to empower them to believe that that they can get the results they got excited about in the first place!

Tip #3: Keep People Accountable

It’s all about the end result. People want to see that your product works. But the tricky part is that until they start taking it consistently over a long period of time, nothing will ever change for them.

And the simple truth is, most people won’t do anything unless they’re accountable to someone. So be that someone for them!

Ask them for permission and set up the expectation that you’ll follow up with them. You can tell them, “Hey, listen, you need to take this product for at least X days before you start seeing the results. Is it ok if I follow up with you in a week to see how you’re doing?”

Because here’s the thing — unless they start seeing results, they probably won’t buy from you again. But if they do — #BOOM! You’ve got yourself a customer for life! And not only that, but he/she will bring in more new people because they’ll start telling their friends about it! It’s a win-win!

Tip #4: Treat New Recruits as Prospects

Are you ready for a #TruthBomb? Just because someone signed up for the business, it doesn’t mean they’re ready to go to work.

The fact of the matter is, they might’ve joined your business because that was just the next step in their process. But many people have no idea where they want to go with it. When they join, they’re in the business but the business is not inside of them yet! They’re simply not ready and committed to go to work… yet (that’s the keyword here)!

So have a sense of urgency. Treat them as a superstar but work with them as if they’d leave tomorrow. And most importantly, get them to act and help them get their first results!

Because when they get their first customer or sales rep, or when they see the first benefits of using your product, they’ll start to understand what it’s all about!
