#1: Ask Questions

Are you ready for a #truthbomb? Our brains spend most of their time in survival mode. Their main job is to keep us alive, so they like it when things are static. That’s why every time there’s a change to the routine they’re used it, they hit the breaks.

So when you’re faced with a new challenge, usually your first thought is what we call a “loser thought”. It’s your brain telling you “this is too difficult, you can’t do it, you’re not good enough”

But here’s the deal. You can’t control your first thought, but you can control the second! So every time a loser thought or a limiting belief pops up in your head, counter it with a question!

Your brain will give you answers. So if you ask it, “All right, how can I find a way to do this?”, it will offer various solutions!

#2: Time Block

Do you feel like you have too many tasks to complete throughout the day? Then why not use time blocking?

It’s a time management strategy in which you block certain pockets of time, dedicated to a specific task. How does it work?

Make a list of everything—big and small, and see which activities you should prioritize. Then add a time block in your calendar and set a reminder. When the time is up, just move on to the next task.

For example, answering emails can feel like a productive, money-making activity. The reality? It’s not one at all. But it is easy to do and we feel like we’re accomplishing something. That’s why we do it. And we can get lost in the sea of emails because let’s be honest—they never end! So set aside an hour a day to go through your inbox. And when that hour’s up, just close the browser and move to the next time block!

#3: Double Task

Let’s take the Time Blocking strategy to the next level!

Double tasking simply means doing 2 activities at the same time.

IMPORTANT: This is different from multitasking! In fact, it’s been proven that humans are terrible multitaskers (yes, even the ones who say they’re amazing at it).

The fact of the matter is, our mind can only focus on one mental activity at a time. That’s why you can combine it with a physical one!

For example, if you need to do your personal development but you also need to clean the house, why not get cracking with an audiobook/podcast/training video playing in the background? It’s a win-win!

Challenge Time!

Make a list of all of the activities you do every day. Which are the two that you can do at the same time? Try combining them for a week and see the results they will have on your overall productivity!

Bonus Tip: Tease Up Your Strategies

Every time you show up to do anything, whether it’s in your personal life, on Social Media, or in your business, you need to have energy! Because that will only bring in more good vibes and will make you more productive!

Ninja Tip: Remember that it’s not just about recruiting. It’s also about duplication. Because what’s the point of recruiting 10-15 people if they don’t do anything? Your goal should be to recruit people and then help them do what you did.

But how do you go about approaching new people and how do you overcome your own stinking thinking? Just follow these 6 easy tips!

Tip #1: It’s a Numbers Game

How many Facebook Friends do you have? And how many of them have you spoken to in the last year? For most people, that number is less than 5%…

Even if you have the maximum number of Friends, which is 5,000, that still rounds up to less than 500 people or about 1 person per day. And how can you create momentum if you’re only reaching out to 1 person per day?

You can have all the scripts you need and all the mentors in the world, but until you go out there and you start working, nothing will ever happen!

Tip #2: Face Your Fears

F.E.A.R. stands for “False Evidence Appearing Real”. That’s right! Most of your fears are actually the incorrect stories you tell yourself.

That’s why when you finally do the thing you’ve been postponing, you usually think to yourself, “Why did it take me this long to do this? It’s so easy!”

So the best thing you can do for yourself, and for your business, is to just pick up the phone, prepare a curiosity post, hit the “Go Live” button and do whatever it is that scares you! Once you face it, everything else will become easier.

Tip #3: Have Belief

Do you believe in the product you’re selling? How about the company you’re in? Then why aren’t you spreading the goodness?

You’ve got a miracle in your mouth, so share it with the world! There are literally thousands of people out there right now, praying for someone to bring them the key that will liberate them from their prisons. And you’ve got that key!

So what are you waiting for? Use it!

Tip #4: Have a Daily Method of Operation (DMO)

How you do anything is how you do everything!

Success is a habit but so is losing. So let’s switch things up! Create a daily routine that will set you up for success. Repeat it day after day until eventually, it becomes a habit!

And that’s the beauty of Social Media — you don’t even have to get out of your home to crush it! All you have to do is set up a goal to add 5 new friends and reach out to 5 new people about your business every single day. That doesn’t sound that scary, does it?

Tip #5: Share Stories

Facts tell, stories sell.

The truth is, most people need to say “yes” to the product or business on an emotional level before they can proceed to buy or join the opportunity. So in order to evoke that emotion, you need to share a story that will make them feel connected to whatever it is you’re talking about.

And here’s the deal: you don’t have to have an impressive story of your own! Become a Story Collector and share other people’s stories. Edify them and say how inspired you are by them. Your excitement will resonate with your prospect!

Tip #6: You’re Ready!

Have you ever avoided calling someone up because you thought you’re “not ready yet”?

Guess what? You’re never going to be ready!

The best way to learn is to pull a Nike and just do it!

And now that we have Social Media in the mix, it’s never been easier! Because all you have to do is ask people if they’re open to seeing your product or opportunity. Then just add them to the appropriate Group, tag them in the post or video you’d like them to watch, and message them the next day to see what they thought of it. It’s. That. Simple!

PRO Tip #1: If others can become recruiting masters, so can you!

PRO Tip #2: Work, even when you don’t feel like it! Because when you feel like you don’t have the energy to do something, working will actually give you the energy you’re looking for!

PRO Tip #3: Work on your personal development, even if you think you know better! Read that book, watch that training, attend that event. Even if you think you already know the answer, hearing it one more time will help you get a new perspective!

Tip #1: Lead with the Product vs the Opportunity

This is the chicken or the egg, Network Marketing edition!

So what is the answer?

The truth is, there are more consumers than consumer entrepreneurs. In other words, more people will be interested in buying your product or service than starting a business. So play the odds and lead with the product!

Of course, if your prospect talks about his/her desire to start a business, show them the opportunity! But in the grand scheme of things, leading with the product or service is your best bet.

Tip #2: Create Curiosity

People don’t care about what your product is, they care about what it does and how it would make them feel. So the best way to show up online is by creating curiosity!

Ray has 2 foolproof strategies about how to make irritable curiosity posts:

#1: Never mention the name of the company or the product!

If you do, you’re practically telling your people, “If you’re interested in what I have to offer, do your own independent research”. And then prospects do that, more often than not, they end up buying from another place. And that’s not what we want!

#2: Don’t add a Call to Action (a CTA)

Make the curiosity post so interesting that people’s natural response will be to reach out to you! Otherwise, it might look like you’re trying to sell them something and that would just put them off.

For example, say how proud you are of someone who began their weight loss journey with your product 2 weeks ago and how many pounds they’ve already lost. And that’s it! If people are impressed by the results, they’ll make sure to let you know!

Tip #3: Reach Out to Leads

What’s the best way to reach out to people? Is there a proven formula?

Yes, there is! In fact, there are 3 things to keep in mind.

#1: Give people a way in and a way out!

Whenever you reach out to your leads, always ask them if they’re open and if they’re not—no hard feelings. For example, you can tell them, “Hey, I saw that you liked my post. If you’re open to know more about the product, I’d be happy to share the information with you. If not, no big deal”.

#2: Get to know your prospects!

Information is power! Spend a min or two going through your lead’s profile and use the knowledge you get to start a conversation with them.

#3: Show them how simple your system is!

Most people either don’t like selling or they’re not very good at it. So when you introduce your prospects to your system—that’s when magic happens!

Because when you expose people to it, you’re telling them, “If you were to recruit/sell, this is how you’d do it. And that’s pretty simple, isn’t it?”

Tip #4: Overcome Common Objections

Manage the energy of the conversation.

For example, if someone says, “I don’t have the time”, try asking them, “When’s that going to improve?”

Or if a lead tells you, “I don’t have the money right now”, reply with, “If you had the money would you do it?”. This is a very safe question because it’s indirect and your lead will feel good answering it genuinely. If they say “no”, then great—on to the next one! But if they say “yes”, then you can continue the conversation with, “Great, how off are you?”, and take it from there.

Always try and put yourself in your prospects’ shoes. What would you want to hear if you were them?

Tip #5: Retain Team Members

The truth is, many leaders assume all of their team members have the same desire and the same level of passion as they do. And they push their people to the point where they feel like they’re losing, so they quit.

Keep people around the campfire. Either they will catch a spark or they will feel good about being part of something bigger! And you never know when the joy of belonging to an amazing team will translate into something more incredible!

Tip #6: Build a Community

We all want to belong to an awesome community. So when you’re building one for your customers, you can add value and leverage the most enthusiastic people in it to lead all of the excitement.

And when it comes to creating a community for your team—start with analysis. What percentage of your content is related to recruiting or sales? If it’s 80%, then it’s time to change something. Try and mix things up by welcoming new people, appreciating top recruiters and seller, recognizing important anniversaries and birthdays.

That way you’ll create the feel-good vibes that make people want to stay part of your community!

The answer is also very easy: post on Social Media consistently, build your brand and find creative ways to show up with value! Success will follow!

Step #2: Optimize Your Exposure

Do you have your brand all figured out? If the answer is “no”, that’s all right! Because if you’re just starting out, creating simple curiosity posts is more than enough to get people interested. But what happens after that?

That’s when your people skills need to shine!

Become an excellent communicator! If you were talking to someone who wasn’t paying attention to you, would you follow them consistently to see what they’re up to? Probably not. It’s the rule of reciprocity: if you care about your people, they will care about you!

So engage with your followers, ask them open-ended questions to get to know them better and actually listen to their answers! Because if you become a pro at figuring out what people are all about, then making the sales transition will become easy peasy!

Step #3: Increase Your Sales Conversion

The fastest way to increase your conversion is to leverage a system!

SYSTEM stands for Save YourSelf Time, Energy, and Money!

Because the truth is, if you’re explaining your product, the sales conversion will be more challenging. Not impossible but definitely harder to duplicate. And if something is hard to duplicate, then your results will suffer.

That’s why we love the ATM system! It works as a sales funnel and it’s so easy to use and duplicate! ATM means:

  • Add people to your Group
  • Tag them in a post you want them to see
  • Message them to see how they liked it

Step #4: Optimize Your Revenue

Do you know what an “upsell” is? That’s when you’re able to sell something additional or more expensive to your customers, and that’s a more widely used technique.

But do you know what the concept of “downselling” is?

Downselling happens when you offer your customers an expensive product. And once you see that they’re hesitating because of the price, you offer them an alternative which costs less. For example, if you have an expensive bundle which includes several products, you can offer that. But if you see that your customer is uncertain because of the price, you can simply offer them a single product which is much cheaper.

Your main goal should be to get your customers to dip their toe in the pool. Because if they buy 1 product and see the results, they’ll come back again, and again. And that’s what it’s all about!

PRO Tip: Engage with your customers! Create a referral program where you reward them for offering your product to other people. Because the best way to market your goods is to get your customers to do it for you!

Step #5: Increase Your Retention

Do you know what your biggest competition is? No, it’s not other companies.

In fact, 70% of your competition is indecisiveness! Yes, people who are on the fence about making a buying decision because they’re just not sure.

So your main job is to pour into your people and bring them enough value. Because when people see the value, they will be ready to pay any price to get it. It’s as simple as that!

Social Selling involves many elements and strategies. But if you manage to get these 5 steps dialed in, you’ll start seeing incredible results!

That was the advice Tanya’s mom gave her when she was young. It’s ingenious advice and Tanya has followed it her whole life!

Born in Canada, Tanya moved to the US 7 years ago. She started her Network Marketing business in 2009, and prior to that, she had been a Financial Specialist for 6 years.

On paper, that sounded great. Yes, Tanya’s finance job was well-paid and she had a nice office, but she was working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week… She felt exhausted and unfulfilled…

Then one day, a friend of hers called her up for a home presentation. She went to her friend’s house feeling skeptical. And the presentation she saw didn’t help her attitude. But when the presenters started talking about the scale and possibilities, Tanya immediately saw the incredible opportunity hidden behind a poorly-delivered presentation.

Tanya understood that these people were showing her the path to success. And all she had to do was follow it!

The 2 BIG Issues With Network Marketing #1: It’s too cheap to get started

It’s a psychological fact that when we get something that’s cheap or easy to attain, we assign a lesser value to it. We don’t take it as seriously.

And that’s what happened to Tanya in the beginning.

Yes, she started her Network Marketing business but she didn’t take it seriously. Her 1st year, she wasn’t investing a lot of time or energy into it, and the results reflected that.

But what she soon realized was that Network Marketing is a business. And you can’t give up the first month or the first year, just because it’s not bringing in the results you expected. It needs time to grow. And eventually, it will reward you for your patience and perseverance!

#2: People forget the “marketing” part of it

When Tanya started getting serious about her business, she realized she knew nothing about Marketing. Sure, she was good at creating networks… But how was she supposed to rock a Network Marketing business without the Marketing?

That’s when she took her business online and decided to learn everything she could about digital marketing. Because here’s the thing — Tanya knew there were people online who were looking for what she had to offer. So it made sense to her to show her products and opportunity to those people rather than to go up to strangers and hope they would be interested.

That decision changed the name of the game!

Tanya’s results skyrocketed! Sure, it took time and a lot of effort. But over the past 4 years, Tanya has managed to create the lifestyle of her dreams. She works on average 3 hours/day and has the freedom to travel, meet with people from all over the world and work on projects that she loves!

Create Systems

Successful businesses operate off of systems. That’s just the way things go and that’s what Tanya realized early on. Because if you don’t have a system that’s working for you, you have no leverage. And if you have no leverage, you have no life because you’ll constantly need to hustle.

That’s why Tanya has dedicated a huge chunk of her time to helping others create the best system to support the lifestyle that they want to have!

Recruit Up

What’s the fasted way to build your business, especially if you’re busy and you have no time?

Find the right people!

That’s right! Tanya learned this very important lesson from Todd Falcone, who taught her all about the Socioeconomic Ladder.

Basically, the ladder is a scale from 1 to 10, 1 being “No one knows who I am” and 10 being “Everyone knows me and they’ll do what I tell them to”.

Most people who’re just starting out in Network Marketing won’t be a 9 or a 10. If you yourself are a 6, what happens is that you’d feel uncomfortable talking to a 7. So you’d try to recruit someone who’s a 5. Then that 5 would go and recruit a 4, and so on. Before you know it, your team will be growing but it won’t have the influence you want it to. So what can you do?

Leverage your upline and leaders! Use their skills to recruit someone who’s more influential than you! That’s the fastest way to grow your business like a PRO!

Proactive vs Reactive Mindset

What kind of a leader do you want to be? Do you want to be one of those leaders who’s making a lot of money but is exhausted all the time? Or would you rather be happy with the life you’re living while still earning a lot of money?

If you chose the 2nd option, we’ve got great news for you! Because it’s ALL possible! All you have to do is have a Proactive mindset rather than Reactive!

When you have a Reactive mindset, you just deal with whatever’s thrown at you.

Sure, when we feel like we should advance in our careers, we usually turn to strategy because it seems to be the most logical move. But here’s the deal: you may have all the tools and all the how-tos but if your mindset is not in the right place, you’ll never employ the strategies.

Why? Because of 3 determining factors!

#1: Potential

Have you ever heard the expression “Don’t fall in love with people’s potential”? That’s because each one of us is capable of being great and having amazing success. But… not everyone does it.

Because the thing is, potential is not enough. You need to take action which will lead you to the results you want to have! 

#2: Language

Do you ever use words and phrases like “I’ll try…”, “I hope…”, “I can’t…”? This is what we call “weak language” and you need to take it out of your vocabulary!

Every time you say a weak word, your body physically shuts downs. And it takes a long time for it to recover. So why do that to yourself in the first place? Replace the weak words with strong ones and you’ll notice how your mindset with shift!

#3: Persistence

Do you know the story of the treasure hunter who found his gold 16 years after he had started searching?

That’s right! He had to take out loans, he lost friends along the way, but he never gave up. Eventually, he found the treasure he was looking for and was rewarded for all the years of hardship.

The question is: will you persist until you find your treasure?

Tip #2: Certainty

How certain are you that you will succeed?

It took us 7 years to crack 6 figures in network marketing, and another 8—to crack 7 figures. There were a lot of people we met along the way but most didn’t stick it out. So why did we? What made us different?

We were 100% certain that we’ll make it.

Yes, we just never saw our lives go any other way except up! It wasn’t always easy and we didn’t always know the answers, but we always trusted that we’ll figure it out.

So the question now becomes: how do you get that certainty?

#1: Experience

The more you work on your skills, the more confidence you’ll get. And the more confidence you get, the more certain you’ll become in your future success!

#2: Environment

As Jim Rohn said, “You’re the average of the five people you spend the most time with”. So who do you have around you? If you’re surrounded by positivity, your certainty will increase!

#3: Immersion

Have you ever read any of Tony Robbins’ books? And have you ever been to one of his events? One cannot compare to the other by a long shot!

Sure, reading books and listening to webinars, podcasts, etc. is amazing (and necessary). But nothing beats the good old-fashioned immersion! That’s why going to events is so important! You’ll get all the positivity you need to keep you going, even when you’re faced with difficult situations!

Tip #3: Belief

Nothing great ever happens without the magical ingredient of… belief!

There are 3 key elements you need to believe in with all your heart in order to crush it!

#1: Success is there!

Yes, it’s waiting for YOU! After all, people are already succeeding, and the opportunities are already there! So all you have to do is go and get them!

#2: You will find it!

There’s no other way around it. The desire to succeed is like a fire burning inside you, and you must go and find it! Now is the time to decide that you will persist until you discover your treasure!

#3: It’s worth it!

Know that what’s waiting on the other side for you is absolutely worth all the sleepless nights, all the adversity and all the sacrifice!

Tip #1: Build a Brand

Did you know you already have a brand?

Yes, if you’re communicating with people online and you have any virtual presence, that means you already have a brand. And now the question is: how effective is it?

This is the main reason why in 2013, we decided to start pouring into trainings, courses, and seminars and figure out exactly what our brand is all about.

Because the truth is, we were tired of always proactively prospecting and recruiting people. Sure, it can be fun for a while and it’s definitely great to do it every now and then (especially when you’re just starting out). But at some point we got exhausted! We wanted for people to start coming to us!

And that’s where our brand came into play!

Tip #2: Build Relationships

Have you ever gotten to the point where you no longer have people in your “warm” market to reach out to?

There’s no way around it. Whether you’re building your business off or online, you need to create a relationship with your prospects!

The more you get to know people, the more people will trust you. And customers do business with people they know, like and trust! So go out there and start talking to your leads!

PRO Tip: The concept of having a “cold market” is not effective. You could reach out to complete strangers but in most cases, that strategy doesn’t work. Try and talk to your prospects, so at the very least they can become a lukewarm market!

Tip #3: Use Attraction & Curiosity Marketing

Can people discover what company you’re working for within minutes of landing on your Personal Profile?

If the answer is “yes”, then you need to change something!

Here’s the deal: if people know the name of your company, you’re closing the loop. They can simply Google it, and if they like what they see, they can order directly from the company. That’s not what we want. We want for people to reach out to YOU!

That’s why it’s so important to pique their curiosity right off the bat!

Create a catchy and funny bio where you say that you’re an “entrepreneur” or you’re the “CEO of [Your Name]”. Then make sure you use the 80/20 Rule for your content! That means:

  • 80% of your content should provide generic value.
  • 20% of your content should be a nonchalant promotion of your product or business.

That way, people will get curious about what it is that you do, and they’ll start reaching out to YOU! How amazing is that?!

Tip #4: Build a Community

We know, we know. This is easier said than done.

But the truth is if you already have a brand, if you’re already building relationships, and if you’re already using Attraction Marketing, building a community will happen naturally!

One of the easiest and best ways to do that is to add people to a specific Facebook Group where you can make sure you offer exclusive value just for them! There, people can interact with each other and do some of the work for you!

It’s a win-win!

Tip #5: Have a System

Facts tell, stories sell!

So why not let all the testimonials and all the Before and Afters do the selling for you?

That’s why it’s so crucial to have an amazing system in place! We love using the ATM strategy because it’s easy to duplicate and it guarantees success!

Once you bring in a new prospect, all you have to do is add them to your Facebook Group and have them watch a video. That’s it. How simple is that?

BONUS Tip: Timing Is Everything

What do you with a prospect or a recruit who doesn’t:

  • answer to your messages;
  • watch the trainings;
  • plug into the events?

Nothing!

You can’t make people work unless they want to.

The truth is, many people don’t start right away because the timing might be off for them. And success doesn’t happen overnight. In the first couple of years in network marketing, we were spending more money than we were bringing in. It took some time but eventually, we cracked 6 and even 7 figures.

So be patient and the results will come!

Ninja Tip: What you speak about, you bring about!

Always be mindful of the way you speak! If you keep saying that your team is no good, that’s what your team will be. So bring positivity into the way you talk, and you’ll start noticing the change. We guarantee it!
