Another day, another monochrome look. Today’s outfit features a favorite in every girl’s wardrobe: a lovely mix of nude, taupe and blush tones… plus a knit and silk combination that always looks so great and dressed-up-without-trying on anyone. The slip dress is one you might recognize from one of my NYFW looks last year (totally feeling all the FOMO this week, as I’m sitting this season out!) and these ZARA boots are still one of my absolute favorites since I got them almost two years ago. The sweater and cap are recent wardrobe additions from Majorelle and Lack of Color.

Between the random bouts of rain and yo-yoing temperatures in Atlanta, it’s really anybody’s game when it comes to guessing what we’re dealing whenever we step out… but somehow, a look like this works for pretty much anything.

Currently looking forward to warmer temps and summer dresses, as I just booked a trip to Miami for VC Carnaval and my 30th () birthday next month! I’ve only been once before, so if any of you have tips for your favorite places to shop, eat and hang out… leave them in the comments — I need all the help I can get to make this THE most epic weekend ever! In the meantime, I hope you’re all having a great start to your week

Last week was a bit of a whirlwind… one that I’m still not entirely sure that I’ve recovered from (as I sit at my computer, on my 4th cup of coffee today). If you’re following along on Instagram, you guys saw that I was in Philadelphia for a couple of days to shoot a video project with Bustle, and then from there I went to New York City for the day to celebrate my best friend’s birthday, before finally getting home Sunday night at midnight… and heading back into the office bright and early Monday morning.

Now, I’m the last person who’ll tell you that she hates traveling. I LOVE it, but I can’t help but wonder how people can keep their sanity, being on the road for several weeks or months at a time! One of my favorite ways to make travel easier is by tapping into the convenience, reliability and safety of my favorite ride-request app, Uber. Whenever I’m ready to get from point A to point B, I open the app, request my ride and I’m on my way in a New York minute!

When you travel in a new city (like I did in Philadelphia), sometimes safety can be a concern, and rightfully so! I love using my Uber app to follow my driver’s route and easily identify my driver’s car… all of that information is built right into the app, giving me the peace of mind that I need to know that I’ll be arriving at my destination safely and on time. With uberX I can enjoy my comfortable private ride, at everyday affordable prices, making it my no-brainer go-to choice whenever I’ve navigating around the city.

While in New York City, I took some time out from my busy week to swing by 11 Howard for a sauna session and treated myself to a warm drink to-go from Sosta Caffe... the perfect mini-break from my super busy week! Both of those locations are always at the top of my list to visit whenever I’m in town; I even have them on my Saved Places list to pull up and be on my way as soon as I’m ready – just one of the many ways I can create a personalized ride-request experience for a simple, convenient trip

How do you guys like to relax when you’re on the road? Have you guys already tried Uber? You can download the app and get your first ride free with promo code UberMillennielle! Happy travels

February is everyone’s favorite time of year to celebrate love, but to me celebrating friendship is just as important! I don’t know who came up with the idea of Galentine’s Day, but I definitely had them to thank when I spent a day out with my friend, Milla.

Heading out to our favorite lakeside café in Vinings, we had a great morning grabbing a super sweet breakfast of pastries and treats before we pulled out our laptops to start making plans for my birthday trip in March… can’t wait to share where we’re headed!

Milla and I are both wearing outfits from LOFT’s Valentines Day collection, and besides the perfect color coordination (how cute do our pink and grey look together?), Milla and I loved just how well everything fit! Both of our jeans were super comfy and our sweatshirts were soft and great for everyday wear – the perfect outfits for a day out, celebrating our friendship!

We don’t get a lot of snow during the winter time in Atlanta, but one thing we have been getting a lot lately is rain — a.k.a. the quickest route to a frizzy, bad hair day and ruined outfit. Our immediate natural inclination is to cancel everything at the first sight of grey skies and bad weather… fashion included, because who wants to ruin their favorite sweater by getting it caught in the rain? It can definitely be tough to figure out what to wear in rainy weather, but that doesn’t always have to be the case!

I, for one, am always very picky about the cold and rainy weather pieces that I add to my wardrobe because I find that a lot of them tend to look super unflattering — too bulky, odd fits and sometimes even strange colors that I wouldn’t be caught dead in. Cue an email from Stutterheim popping into my inbox a couple weeks ago to introduce me to their brand… I immediately fell in love with the minimal, Scandinavian style of their durable rain coats. Even though the brand’s tagline is “Swedish melancholy at its driest” I’m definitely a happy girl in my Stutterheim jacket!

Speaking of flattering cold weather style, I have to admit that up until a few weeks ago, I hadn’t owned a legitimate pair of winter boots in years… also because I hated everything that was available out there, until I stumbled across the perfect pair of boots that are heavy duty, with lots of sole grip to make my way through wet and icy situations… and of course, are super comfortable to wear all day!

It’s finally official: come rain or shine, this girl’s wardrobe is fully prepped and ready!

STUTTERHEIM ‘MOSEBACKE’ RAIN COAT

My rain coat comes in a huge selection of colors, but something about the khaki green colorway had my name all over it!

The unexpected A-line cut puts a feminine spin on the classic rain coat, so you’re always stepping out in style in Stutterheim.

MARC FISHER ‘WANYA’ BOOTS

Who knew that a couple of extra inches on the heel was all it took to make combat boots look more chic for every day wear?

I fell in love with these shoes after seeing them on some of my favorite bloggers, Jenny and Jacey, and they’re definitely a pair of boots well worth the investment!

Sometimes you come across an item that you absolutely know you need in your wardrobe. For me, it was this jumpsuit that I couldn’t wait to wear out as soon as I got it. It’s been a while since I last picked up a pair of overalls, but with corduroy fabric, and deep-V, wide-leg details giving off old school vibe, I feel like this jumpsuit definitely makes more of a statement than your average denim overalls.

If the wide-legged pant isn’t your thing, the jumpsuit comes in a skirt silhouette (and multiple color options) as well! I’m already thinking of getting one for festival season… never too early to start planning, right?

Happy Friday, and don’t forget to enter my Away mini + travel beauty favorites giveaway! xx

New year, new skin routine? Kind of, but not really. I still have my favorite beauty products that I turn to for healthy-looking skin, but there’s one promise I’ve made to myself in 2018 — it’s to stop going to bed with my makeup on. By now, we all know the negative effects of sleeping with a still-made-up face, but still… we’ve all have those long days where the first thing we can think of as soon as we get home is falling into bed and crashing until the next morning. I get it! My skin however, isn’t always as forgiving.

Prepping my skin for bedtime used to be a very involved process. I had my face wash, my toner, my night cream… and on special days, I’ve been known to treat myself to a face mask or two. All this until I came across a 3-in-1 cleansing water from L’Occitane, that took my nighttime skincare regimen from three steps down to one.

You guys already know that I’m a huge fan of the L’Occitane Shea skincare line, so when they sent me a couple more products, I couldn’t wait to get into them! I tried the Comforting Cream and the Shea Butter Cleansing Oil, but my favorite was definitely the Shea 3-in-1 Cleansing Water. With its triple benefit of serving as a makeup remover, toner AND skin moisturizer, now I only need one product for my nightly skincare regimen instead of having to use multiple products and steps to get ready for bed… when that’s definitely the last thing I want to do after a long day!

I’ve linked more of my L’Occitane Shea Butter product favorites below, if you guys are interested in finding the product that’s right for you. Happy shopping!

When it comes to denim, I’m usually super picky about the ones I buy because there are so many things that I look for. For starters, I’m 5’9″, so finding jeans with a long enough inseam are ALWAYS a must. I can’t stand it when my pants hit that super awkward mid-calf/ankle part that looks flattering on no one! Another thing of course, is fit. I try to avoid going too stretchy or too stiff, to make sure that I have a pair of jeans that are not only flattering… I also wanna make sure that they’ll last for a really long time. Last but not least, I check out the details. I always love denim with thoughtfully-placed distressing or any other details that make them stand out like embroidery, studs and/or raw hems.

Given my pickiness when it comes to denim, it’s no surprise that it took me a while to get into the kick flare fit. Don’t know what kick flare jeans are? Think of the classic bootcut, but cropped. At first thought, it sounds like a super awkward silhouette to wear… but when you find the perfect pair, like I did from Madewell, you’ll realize why you can’t go without them

One of my 2018 goals is to get out and travel more this year… and not just to the regular places I’ve been before — I wanna explore totally new cities that take me out of my comfort zone! I know that travel is always on everyone’s bucket list, but when it comes to having the best trip ever, it’s not just about the destination… it’s about the journey as well.

I may be one of the few people you know who’ll say this, but I don’t hate flying. A big part of that might be because overseas relocations and 8-hour flights have always been a part of my life for as long as I remember, thanks to my parents’ jobs… but I think another part of it is because I have my long flight beauty and comfort routine down to a science. Today I’m sharing it with you and giving away a travel kit to one lucky reader!

The super cute Away blush mini is my favorite toiletry bag to travel with, and it’s definitely a favorite among some of my favorite bloggers too. The makeup bag is completely out of stock right now, so this is your last chance to get your hands on a blush mini from Away! As a bonus to the winner, here’s what you’ll find in it — my top essentials that I can’t travel without:

What is everyday style? To some people, it’s the effortless look that every “cool girl” has mastered, usually just by picking up the first t-shirt and pair of jeans off the floor of her bedroom in the morning. But to me, it’s much more than that. In my opinion, finding the perfect everyday style is a thoughtful process — and it’s usually all about finding quality wardrobe staples that both stand the test of time, while staying true to my personal aesthetic.

After doing a huge wardrobe clean-out a couple days ago in an effort to declutter my wardrobe for the new year and make way for the new, I discovered that there were some key pieces that I never wanted to let go of: the button-up shirts that I wear from work to weekends… the perfect pairs of jeans that are actually long enough for me and haven’t stretched out in years… the cute knit sweaters that have been through hundreds of washes but haven’t shrunk or lost shape… you get the picture — it’s all about

QUALITY when it comes to finding clothes that will stand the test of time!

It might be a little hard to figure out where to start when it comes to building your everyday wardrobe, but thanks to my friends at Stitch Fix, it’s never difficult for me to find style-staples that are just right for me! You guys know that I’ve worked with them before, and it’s definitely for good reason… my Fix stylist takes away the headache of shopping for me, and sends me pieces that she knows I’ll love… and I always do, because they include some of my favorite contemporary brands like Rails, Equipment, Paige, Sundry, Joie and Joe’s Jeans! So to start the new year, I’m sharing the Stitch Fix experience with you: you can sign up today and get your first package sent out to you for free — $0 styling fee, and you only purchase the items that you want to keep! How’s that for starting the new year in the most fashionable way?
