I’m always inspired by my surroundings, especially when I’m traveling… and if there’s one thing I love about Miami, it’s all about the art-deco buildings that you can find everywhere in every pastel shade imaginable.

You guys might have already seen a hint of this jumpsuit in my Martini & Rossi blog post, but I couldn’t not share the full look with you! I got this from REVOLVE back in April, and I’m honestly so glad I waiting til Miami to rock it… it was so comfy to wear all day, and super cute as well! Doesn’t hurt that I blended right in with all the South Beach vibes and colors too :)

Speaking of travel, I’m going to LA this weekend for a project with Clarisonic and Mexico next week (again) with rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it… so make sure you’re following along on Instagram! Can’t wait to share everything with you! xx

One of my favorite things about my blogging journey is that I get to document my own personal development over the years. There are things I used to love wearing and brands I used to shop religiously, that I honestly haven’t revisited in years… but sometimes all it takes is for a couple great coincidences to come together, and you’ll be lucky to rediscover old favorites that still have a certain magic about them.

This past weekend, I spent my Sunday doing something I haven’t done in a while: hang out around downtown Atlanta. Now, if you’re from Atlanta you probably get what I’m talking about. Downtown Atlanta is basically a ghost town on weekends, unless you’re doing the obvious tourist stuff or going to a big game or show at Philips Arena. Otherwise, you’re probably more likely to be hanging out with friends in one of the trendier neighborhoods like East Atlanta, West Midtown or Buckhead.

I wore this outfit to my friend’s baby shower, and Summit 21‘s awesome brunch event… and spent the rest of my morning hang out downtown. Something about taking a couple hours to myself to just walk around, enjoying the beautiful architecture, while wearing a brand I haven’t shopped at in ages (how cute are these Forever 21 striped pants? i used to shop there all the time in college!) reminded me to take time more often to appreciate some of the things we sometimes tend to take for granted, especially when we get super busy. So I made a promise to myself this summer: to finally do a huge closet clean out to start pulling back out pieces that I love and forgot about… maybe even give some items away (I host my giveaways on my stories!)… and start revisiting some of the places and things and I used to enjoy.

If you guys haven’t already noticed, I’m ALL about wrap dresses and tops this summer! They’re one of the easiest things to throw on and look “dressed up”, thanks to the pretty patterns and fabrics they come in, and the fact that you can tie them up means that you can customize the fit however you want and they’ll look great on you even if you’re having a “fat” day (we all have those, no judgement!)

This brown polka dot dress was one that I got for my friend’s destination wedding trip last month, and when I wore it, someone called it my “Pretty Woman” dress and suddenly it all made sense! With the 90’s making a solid comeback in fashion, it’s no wonder that one of the era’s most iconic rom-com films still has such a huge effect on fashion today. I mean, if Who What Wear says brown polka dots are a thing now… they’re DEFINITELY a thing, and we all have Pretty Woman to thank for that. Just remember the next time you wear the print out, Julia Roberts did it first! What do you guys think about the brown polka dots trend?

Swimsuit season is in full swing, and if there’s one thing on everyone’s mind right now, it’s summer vacation… or at least the a weekend well-spent by the nearest body of water! Whether you’re lounging poolside or booking it to a beautiful beach, you need some bomb swimwear, right? It might be annoying to have to buy new swimsuits every year… and if you’re sick of it or on a serious time-crunch, you definitely need to try mixing things up a bit and creating a new look with the swim pieces you already have!

Mixing and matching your bikini tops and bottoms can result in a totally unique look, that’s still budget-friendly! The idea of mixing prints might seem daunting and a little weird at first, but if you pair pieces that are within the same color family (love the pastel tones on my bikini top and bottom), it’ll make the odd pairing look like they were actually made for each other! Also important to keep things simple from an accessory point of view, so there aren’t too many clashing focal points to your look. I’m still loving my super affordable slides from H&M and this bucket bag I stumbled across in Miami… I had never seen it before in the white & nude colorway, so naturally, it came home with me :)

Thoughts on mix and matching your bikini sets? How are you styling your swimsuits this summer?

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of being flown out to Miami for a quick weekend getaway to meet the Martini & Rossi team to learn more about the brand and chat through ideas for a series of summer events that I’ll be hosting in Atlanta for the brand’s Terrazza Martini campaign! A lot of people are already familiar with the Martini & Rossi brand, but this weekend was all about their Prosecco and Rosé specifically, and this girl was not complaining about that at all :)

We checked into EAST Miami Hotel, a stunning new boutique property right in the heart of Brickell, for the weekend. Now, I’ve been to Miami a couple times but I honestly haven’t done much exploring beyond South Beach… so it was really exciting to see a whole other side of the city. I fall a little more in love with Miami every time I go, and I definitely don’t take it for granted that it’s a less than 2hr flight away from Atlanta. More weekend trips to the beach, please!!!

Martini & Rossi is putting together in events in D.C., Atlanta, New York City, Philadelphia and Chicago this summer, so they flew out an influencer from each city for the Miami meeting. I had a great time getting to know each of these ladies, and learning more about what we each do!

My favorite part of the weekend getaway was the mini mixology class that we took Saturday afternoon, where we learned how to make some of the cocktails that will be featured at my Martini & Rossi events this summer! I’m definitely not a bartender yet… but if I can proudly say that I’ll make you a mean Americano apertif  if you ask nicely :) Fabio was a great host and teacher, and it was a super fun afternoon over cocktails and prosecco! Afterwards, we went for dinner at Forte dei Marmi, and OH MY GOD… the best sea food I’ve ever, ever ever had! You definitely need to have it on your Miami bucket list… and when you go, be sure to make room for the pistachio ice cream for dessert!

If you’re based in Atlanta, I’d love to keep you in the loop for upcoming events this summer! Make sure you’re subscribed to my newsletter, so you can be the first to know about upcoming Terrazza Martini events, and I’ll have a glass of Prosecco waiting for you when you arrive :) Here’s to a great summer ahead…

Hello, statement sleeves! It’s been a while since I last shopped at ASOS, but after checking in a couple weeks ago, I was pleasantly surprised! There are still so many goodies to find on the site, and the best part is that you don’t have to break the bank to find and pick up a fashion-forward look.

Street style is totally trending towards statement sleeves right now, and I found this top to strike the perfect balance with my Joe’s Jeans denim short-shorts (that I actually found at Marshall’s for a fraction of the original retail price!). I never wear denim shorts with sleeveless tops anymore… I think pairing them with dressier, sleeved blouses just looks so much more put-together and fashion-forward.

Also rocking another bag from Trendlee, which has since rebranded to Rebag! You guys already know how much I’ve loved partnering with them and styling their bags in the past… and this Louis Vuitton cross-body is no exception. The glossy patent leather makes it an obvious choice for evening wear, but what do you guys think about how I styled it for a daytime look?

Between my 9-to-5 and basically running a full-time side-hustle, I spend a LOT more time staring at a screen than I would like to admit. One of the things that really helps me disconnect from it all is picking up a good book or magazine, and it doesn’t hurt that having a good read on hand is useful whenever I have down time: whether I’m waiting at the airport for my flight or having a lazy weekend morning in bed! Here are some of the things I’m reading this summer:

The Outsider by Stephen King

OMG not gonna lie, when I was in high school, I was obsessed with reading everything Stephen King. I can't do horror movies, but I love a good horror novel, and this new release is definitely on my summer reading list!

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

I've heard SO many good things about this book! It's all about finding what's truly important to you and letting go of everything (and everyone) else... now that's a practice I can get behind!

shop
Net-A-Porter PORTER Magazine

I've always loved collecting magazines, but these days, most of them are totally overrun with ads. I love PORTER magazine, because the advertising is limited and it's full of stunning editorials that inspire my content creation process.

How to Be a Person in the World by Heather Havrilesky

Whenever I have free time at work, I'm always browsing through NY Mag's Ask Polly column. It's full of great life advice, and the best part is that it's coming from someone who admits that she doesn't have it all figured out either. This book has been on my reading list since last year, and I finally ordered it on Amazon!

It’s no secret: fashion loves French style. While I’m not the kinda girl who throws on a striped shirt and beret and seriously calls myself a ~french~ girl (this was a joke, okay?), I will admit that there are a couple brands I love and look to  every time I want to update my wardrobe… and it just so happens that a lot of them are French ;) Introducing summer in Sézane! The French brand is one of my absolute favorites; they take the simplest wardrobe pieces and put a beautiful, feminine spin on it… giving me all the vacation vibes!!! Browsing thorough their website just makes me want to book my next vacation stat.

I have a couple trips coming up in June (back to Mexico and Miami… this time, for work!) that I’m super excited about, so I’m all about refreshing my vacation looks right now, and this wrap blouse is everything… from the colorful print, to the fabric, to the flattering silhouette! I’ve never met a wrap dress or top that I didn’t love.

To accessorize my Sézane wrap blouse, I’m wearing it with some of my wardrobe items you’ve definitely seen before: my khaki pants, suede wedges and Loewe hammock bag. Talk about the perfect look for a holiday weekend!

Speaking of the long weekend, what are you guys doing for Memorial Day? I know most everyone is getting busy with all the sales, but I’m taking FULL advantage of my day off to clean my room, get my inbox back down to zero, and prep for a busy month ahead. If you’re still looking for some of the best sales right now though, check out Nordstrom for their Half-Yearly Sale (up to 40% savings!) or Net-A-Porter for up to 50% off. I swore off shopping this weekend… but I might do some online “window shopping” if the mood strikes! xx

It’s finally Memorial Day weekend, the first long weekend of the year! If there’s one thing that means, it’s that we’re officially in a summer mood. One of my favorite things to bring out of my closet are my sun dresses… and what’s not to love? They’re easy to wear, super flattering on everyone… and after a long bout of awful winter weather, I think I speak for every lady when I say we’re READY to lose the multiple layers!!!

Even though it’s only May, between my job change and all of the amazing opportunities I’ve gotten through blogging, this year has been my busiest one yet! And if that means one thing, it means lots more travel on the horizon!!! I just booked a travel partnership for next month that I’m really excited to share with you guys, but in the meantime, I figured that I will give you a look into my carry-on bag so you guys can see how I arrive at my destination in style. My luggage is all from Away, and most of the beauty products I mention in this video are linked right here, if you’re interested in checking them out. Enjoy! x
