In friendly collaboration with Flisvos Sport club. AnzeigeHello loves and happy weekend! As promised here is the third post about our time in Naxos, I wanted to post it earlier but it’s been so much going on with getting our apartment and then we travelled again, but now we are back and we had time to finish this post :) Looking at these pictures make me so happy, we had such a great time those days <3 We were staying at Flisvos Sport Club in Naxos and I’ve already made some blogposts before about our stay in their Flisvos Farmhouse and one about our stay in their Flisvos Seaside suite, but today it’s about what we were up to on the island and at the Flisvos Sport club! Let’s take a look!Naxos town is a beautiful little town filled with white houses and cozy restaurants, it’s walking distance from the Flisvos Sport Club so we went there twice, once to check out the Portara, the Temple of Apollo, it’s a big ancient marble gate at the entrance of the port with a beautiful view over the town and the ocean. We also strolled around the old town and had some Halloumi Souvlaki which was incredible, greek food is just a dream!

The main activity at the Flisvos Sport Club is of course all the water sports! Their sport club is just 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel area where you can take lessons and rent boards or boats. Naxos is famous for wind surfing so that is the main activity but you can also do SUP (stand up paddling), go with a small Catamaran, SUP yoga, etc etc. Klemens used to do a lot of kiteboarding before and also did some windsurfing when he was younger so he absolutely loved it and had fun! I had fun too, I didn’t try the windsurfing but I did some SUP which I really enjoyed. So peaceful but also hardcore workout ;)

The energy at the Flisvos Sport Club is really great with lots of cool people, both workers and visitors, everyone has one goal and that is to just have fun!

One day we took the car out for a little road trip to discover the island, we didn’t have too much time because we also liked to enjoy the hotel but everything we saw was beautiful. The landscape is amazing and there are so many places to see, beautiful beaches, cute little towns, traditional restaurants and friendly people. Can’t wait to go back to discover more!

Lots of love xx Mikuta

Good morning from the first morning in our new apartment <3 Now this was yesterday and not today, but anyways! Thank you so much for all the best wishes and beautiful messages we received the last days, we couldn’t be happier right now with our new place. It is definitely a special feeling to have your own place because it feels like our little baby, or well, big baby haha! The first day there was so beautiful, we walked around, stood there, watched it, went up and down and were just so happy. The feeling and the energy is so great and it feels just right! Can’t wait to spend our time there <3 It feels weird to own a little part of Berlin now, a little spot on the map that is just ours!

We blew up our air mattress, got some pizza and opened our bottle of Moet that we’ve been saving for this day and spent our first night there. Everyone told us to write up our dreams from the first night but I really couldn’t remember it, when I woke up I tried to fall back asleep to remember it but it didn’t work, and to be honest I didn’t sleep much. The air mattress was incredibly uncomfortable and since we slept in the kitchen/living room area and had all the windows and doors open (it must have been the hottest night ever, 34 degrees during the day and the night didn’t feel much colder) it was so loud from the street below and every time the tram passed by it was like a big airplane arriving, haha! Luckily our bedroom is on the other side so we won’t need to listen to that! During the day it’s all fine but at night the rest of the noise is gone and the tram comes across very loud! It was still a beautiful night though, and in the morning the sunlight came in at 7am and lit up the floors in the most beautiful way, Klemens went down to get some coffee which we drank on the balcony sitting on two trash buckets that we found upstairs… we also found a fridge which we didn’t know was there, yey!

Now it’s time to start planning. We have ideas of how we want it to be and luckily share the same ideas, the look and the feel and the colours are all set, but only in our heads as a vision, now we need to write them down and figure out the details and how to get started! We will try to do most by ourselves, but need help from specialists when it comes to very important things so we don’t screw it up. But mainly we will take down some walls, change the kitchen, the two bathrooms, change the stairs, fix the floor so it’s not so orange because when the sunlight gets reflected by the orange floor everything in the apartment becomes orange, which is not so ideal! After that it’s time to decorate and turn it into a living place, exciting!

We call it Casa Cozy!

Lots of love xx Mikuta

MIKUTA by Jacqueline Mikuta - 1M ago

Hello loves! Lately we’ve been working our dream that we’ve had for the past years which was buying our own apartment! Today is a super exciting day for Klemens and I because today we finally got the keys! We’ve been waiting for this moment for so long and can’t believe it’s finally here! :D

We got the keys this morning and spent the whole day here just enjoying our new place and of course we took some photos to show you guys!

We had the idea long time ago to search for a Berlin Altbau which means an old apartment from the early 1900 but it’s been so hard to find. Last year we actually found one that we really liked and were already in negotiations but in the last minute there were some complications with the owners and they didn’t want to sell it un-renovated. They wanted to renovate it all in their own way which didn’t match at all how we wanted it to be. We were really heart broken at that time because we thought we would never find anything like that again… we wanted something with an open kitchen or at least something where we could open it, high ceilings, balcony and most important of all, a lot of light! And not to forget – old wooden floors and windows! Also something in a good area…All this is not so easy to find anymore.

But one day we found another apartment, Klemens wasn’t so into it when he read about it because he was too obsessed with the first one… but I was very excited about the new one so we went to see it! And thank me for that, WOW, once we sat foot in this apartment for the first time we fell even more in love than with the first one and everything just seemed to be right! It was exactly what we wanted but even better, building is from 1890, more light than we could imagine, not one but two balconies, a big open kitchen, extra high ceiling with 3,40 metres, beautiful floors and huge windows and balcony doors and on top of that, its a duplex, so two floors on the top :) It is also located in Friedrichshain which we really like. We’re so happy! <3

How funny how you think you’ll never find anything better and then it all proves you wrong! We’re so happy we didn’t get the first one!

Here below are some photos of how it looks like right now, we have a lot of ideas of how to renovate it and change it a bit to how we imagine to be our dream apartment. We will take down some small walls, definitely take away the stairs and change it for something else and make it more open and get even more light, but we will definitely keep you on that journey because this is our main summer plan. I hope you’re interested in a bit of decoration and house renovations because there will be quite some of that in the next months :) We’re super excited for this!

We are so in love and excited for this next chapter in our life! Today we brought our airbed and will sleep here tonight, put up some candles and have some pizza :) It’s always been a dream to do that in our first apartment <3

Lots of love xx Mikuta + Klemens + Casa Cozy

In friendly collaboration with Flisvos Sport Club. Adlinks included. Anzeige.Hello loves, I hope you’re having a great and relaxing weekend! Here comes the second post from our time at Flisvos Sport Club in Naxos, we had so many pictures and stayed in two different rooms and did several activities, therefor we just separate them into parts :) The 1st post was about our stay in their Flisvos farmhouse, if you missed it you can read it here. Today I wanted to show you the other room where we stayed which is their newly opened Flisvos Seaside suite which is situated on top of the main building with a big terrace and view over the sea, so romantic <3 I’ll also show you the main restaurant and the other rooms situated throughout the complex, follow along :)

If you didn’t read the first post or don’t feel like it – I’ll make a short introduction, Flisvos Sport Club is situated on Naxos, one of all the beautiful islands of Greece, it celebrates 25 years this year and it’s the perfect windsurf place, although you don’t have to be super into water sports to come here (like me, hehe, but at least try SUP, so fun). It’s also the perfect little getaway for chilling, swimming, good food and island discovery! Ok now let’s continue:As much as we loved staying in the Farmhouse, we really enjoyed staying at the Seaside suite, since it was only me and Klemens it was very romantic with our terrace and we didn’t really need a big house for ourselves, but I recommend the farmhouse if you go in a bigger group. The Seaside suite is more in the style of the rest of the hotel  / restaurant in the typical Greek white style but with a touch of boho, earthy colours and chill atmosphere. We fell in love with all the decoration, just as in the farmhouse, and wanted to bring it all home! There is a little kitchen so you can prepare your own food and enjoy on the terrace, or just a cold drink which we did in the evenings for sunset.

The restaurant is situated on the beach and just below the Seaside suite, they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. They organize different dinner events such as Surf & Turf night meaning you can order a small or a big mixed grill plate and enjoy with the rest. Every night they have a different event which makes it fun and active! They also have fish nights with the freshest fish and of course other courses from the menu, a mix of typical Naxos food and international. We had the best Tzatziki and their famous Naxos potatoes, I absolutely love greek food! Their yoghurt, feta cheese, iced Frappé, etc etc.

It’s all situated on the edge of a beach with walking distance to the Naxos town, the famous Temple of Apollo and their Sport club. We also had a car driving around the island, but all this comes in the third and last post about our stay! Stay tuned :)

Lots of love xx Mikuta

In friendly collaboration with Flisvos Sport Club.Hello loves! Last week we spent some days on Naxos, a beautiful island in Greece. It’s not as discovered as the other popular islands in Greece, it only has several turbo prop planes per day and some ferries, which makes this island very relaxing and not as crowded. We were invited to stay at Flisvos Sport Club for some days which consists of a hotel / watersports club / restaurant and a shop, this year they celebrate 25 years and it’s still going strong! The Flisvos Sport Club is run by a wonderful couple from Germany and Netherlands and the staff is very international and incredibly friendly. We had a really great time those days staying in two different rooms (which ill show you here and in another blogpost), had amazing food such as Greek salad and fresh fish from the grill, did some windsurfing, stand up paddling and Catamaran sailing, and also discovered the island! We took so many pictures during these days so I’ll separate them into different posts, first off is about their new little farmhouse where we stayed the first nights, let’s take a look:Okay, the Flisvos farmhouse might not be so little, there are three bedrooms so you can fit quite a lot of people, one room with a double bed and two rooms with two single beds in each, so perfect for a family or friends who want to stay in their own house with a kitchen, a big terrace and outdoor shower! The farmhouse is a bit separated from the main hotel/restaurant building, so there’s a lot of privacy and a perfect little getaway. Both Klemens and I fell in love with the decoration and interior of this house, it’s so cozy with warm and earthy colours, the kitchen is perfectly prepared for cooking with everything you need and the bathroom is a dream! The best part of the Flisvos farmhouse is the terrace though, with a huge wooden table for long brunches or dinners, two hammocks, a little outside sofa area and different corners to relax here and there.

The farmhouse is just 2 minutes walking to the main building where you find the beach restaurant which is open from morning until night where they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. The beach restaurant is located directly on the beach with a big and cozy terrace! It is also very close by walking to the Sports club on the beach where you can rent boards for windsurfing, SUP, etc etc, do lessons or just to hang :) Photos and more information about all this will come in the next posts, so stay tuned!

Lots of love xx Mikuta

– Anzeige/ad – Post contains adlinks –Hello loves! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend <3 We just came back from two amazing trips in one, first we were in Formentera to shoot some projects for some days and then we passed by Mallorca to visit my family and friends since it’s just around the corner. Formentera was absolutely amazing, just like last year, very little people, so calm and just beautiful. It might be one of my favourite places! Our days on Mallorca was amazing too, I didn’t meet my family since Christmas (except when my sister and her boyfriend came to visit us in Berlin last month for 3 days) but it was nice to see my mum and dad and everyone else! And the dogs, my heart is aching after my dogs when I’m not there.

Anyways, here are some pics from an early morning in Formentera. We always shot during sunset because then the light is so magic, specially on the beaches, but this morning we were up super early and took the car to this beautiful spot. When the sunrise hits the fields the light becomes magic, and luckily the yellow colour fit my yellow top from Sézane perfectly! Isn’t this top so cute? I love the yellow and how summer-y it looks, cute with jeans shorts or any jeans or any skirt actually, I like the mix with denim for a great balance with the cuteness.

The jeans shorts are my favourite and I got them last year in LA on the Rose Bowl market, they are vintage and I had been searching for so long, when I was younger I had lots of these, I got them in second hand shops in Mallorca either already short or I cut off the jeans. I get a lot of questions about them, so the easiest way to get them is to go to vintage or second hand shops and get a pair of Levi’s 501 and cut them off :) I will also go and search this summer, I wear these ones all summer so it would be good to get an extra pair…

The sandals are from Zara and I love them too, they might look uncomfortable but they’re not, once they are worn they become soft and they fit really well in any outfit for the summer days! I know it’s not summer yet but it feels like it after being in Spain, haha!

As I wrote we just came back home to Berlin where we will re-pack our bags and tomorrow morning we’re going to Naxos, Greece, to visit a wind surf hotel for the next 5 days! I never did wind surfing but I’m very excited to try it!

So next time see you from there! <3

Lots of love xx Mikuta

– Anzeigen / ad – Brands mentioned –Hello loves! Here are some more pictures from Palm Springs and this beautiful dress from Zadig et Voltaire. As I wrote on previous posts it was incredibly windy those days and the sand hit hard like little stones but this location is just so beautiful so we had to shoot anyways! Palm Springs and the landscape around is so incredible with the mountains, the desert and all the windmills everywhere and of course all the little houses and palms.

I’ve been wearing this long dress a lot lately, I’m really into long dresses at the moment because it’s so comfortable to wear, it also looks very chill and laidback without much effort, a belt around the waist or just leave it hanging. I need a slit though, to show a bit of legs ;) This dress is from Zadig et Voltaires summer festival collection and has the most beautiful Kilim pattern and little skulls, they have a slip dress version too but I love the long sleeves. I wore it with my fringe bag, also from Zadigs festival collection, which is the same as all my other favourite Zadig bags but bigger and with fringes, how cool?

To not let the hair fly around like crazy I put a hat on, it was the only way to make this work, haha, the hat even flew away – it might look chill on the photos but it was incredibly strong wind! I even have sand from Palm Springs in Berlin because when I unpacked the suitcase it was full of it :) A little memory from this year’s Coachella weekend!

Lots of love xx Mikuta

In collaboration with Porsche Design.

Hello there! It has been a while since I made a post here on the blog – but these sunglasses by Porsche Design just need an appropriate presentation like this… I got the P’8674 SUNGLASSES “SIDEWALL” and I´m in love! As you might know – I am not a guy that wears a lot of accessories (I wear none) but if there is one accessory, it is a good pair of sunglasses – and boy are these good!

I always wanted a more round-ish pair but never made the move until now… the P’8674 feature a sidewall which gives a little extra protection from sunlight and from wind – but most of all this sidewall, which is part of the frame gives these glasses a very unique and exclusive look – and I love that look! The frame is full stainless steel – therefor quite heavy and robust. The frame is available in 3 different colours: grey, black and gold. Mine are gold which fits perfectly with my always neutral looks. This is definitely my favourite pair at the moment that I will be wearing a lot this Summer.

MIKUTA by Jacqueline Mikuta - 2M ago

In collaboration with Kapten & Son.Hello loves! After 3 times on the festival I learnt what to pack, you might think it’s enough with a little dress and boots since it’s all warm and sunny and you will be dancing all the time, but that is unfortunately not the case. First of all the festival is located in the middle of the desert and most people we know including ourselves stay in Palm Springs or Palm Desert which is about 40 minutes away with car, if you’re unlucky and go in the peak hours there’s a lot of traffic and it can take up to 1-2 hours to get there and back. We always go with car because then we can park the car in the parking and can leave whenever we want without having to wait for the shuttles, so that is my first tip :) Since it is located in the desert it is really warm during the days and very cold in the evenings as soon as the sun goes down, it can also be very windy with a lot of dust in the air, because of all this we always pack a bag full of things to survive the festival days! This year I brought my Bergen “Sandstone” backpack from Kapten & Son which doesn’t only match the sand dunes but also very practical because there is so much space!

Here is a list of my packing tips:

● A little scarf. You will want to cover your mouth and nose with a little scarf when the sand storm hits.

● A big scarf. I like to have one to sit on while chilling on the grass waiting for the next artist to play or while you eat, or just throw around you if it gets cold.

● Sunglasses because you don’t want to get blinded by the strong sun and it’s also the perfect accessory :) Mine are called San Francisco Gold Green from Kapten & Son.

● Sunscreen. I always bring a little sunscreen face mist that I can spray on the go, it’s transparent and doesn’t destroy the make up. But also remember to spray on the rest of the body and specially on the shoulders if they are bare!

● A jacket. Everyday I bring a jacket for the evenings when it gets chilly. We see people freezing every evening and not having a good time because they go to the festival in almost no clothes and a little mini purse so they can’t fit a jacket

● And of course a watch to keep track of the time ;) I always wear a watch and I always wear my Chrono from Kapten & Son, I’ve just changed to the Chrono Silver “Mesh” and I love it!

● Secure your phone! Klemens and I always write each others contact/phone number which we put on our screen savers, so in case we lose our phones and someone nice finds it they can easily contact us by checking the screen. Unless we both lose them but that is unlikely! Knock on wood :P

● Phone or a small camera for photos. You are not allowed to bring a camera with a detachable lens, only smaller cameras are welcome.

These are my main tips, bring a bag with the necessities and enjoy the whole weekend without sunburns, freezing arms, missed shows or a lost phone!

Lots of love xx Mikuta
