Metallic eyeshadows have become my latest obsession! I can’t stop myself from reaching out for every gorgeous blinding eyeshadow that comes my way… and why not! A statement eye look is such an effortless way to add glamour and nothing as good as a striking metallic eye look. The look today is blingy metallic silver eye makeup paired with berry lips. I wanted the eyeshadow to speak for itself so decided to skip on the falsies and eyeliner. Silver is such a universal shade… it can be a perfect match with almost every lip shade. I like to team it up with the family of pinks and plums.

Eyeshadow pigments, I feel, are in many ways better than your regular eyeshadow pans… they look more pigmented, the color payoff is much better and of course, blending is much easier. I like to reach out for MAC Fix plus A L W A Y S to apply such pigments, it has the right amount of tackiness to hold the pigments together, but this time, I tried something different and quite liked the idea.

If you have seen the video above, you would know, I used the leftover serum from the primer sheet mask to damp my eyeshadow brush. It worked really well and the eyeshadow did not move a bit till I washed my face, which was after 4-5 hours.

By the way, Most of the products used, arrived in my February Ipsy Bag. For those who do not know, IPSY is a monthly beauty subscription service, where you pay $10 each month and you get 5 beauty products (Yes! high end too :D) which are picked based on your beauty profile.

Last week I posted a video on YouTube featuring a makeup look with caramel and deep blue combination. I have been really fond of blue eyeliners since the longest time and I wanted to try a look especially keeping in mind the Valentines day. With lots of pink and red makeup looks flooding the internet, I wanted to choose a different theme just in case you have already had an overdose of these two shades… not that I detest a soft romantic pink makeup look or a bold red statement look, I just wanted to give other colors a chance on a date night.

Valentines Day Makeup | LOOK 2 | Caramel + Blue Glam Makeup Tutorial | Makeupmagique 2018 - YouTube

Products Used

FACE

Kokie Cosmetics Skin Perfect HD Foundation ♥♥♥♥♥

This is my current favourite! It gives medium to full coverage with a natural semi-matte finish. It is perfect for special occasions and doesn’t look heavy or cakey at all.

Maybelline Superfresh Compact ♥♥♥♥♥

This super affordable, light weight compact gives light to medium coverage. It is definitely a must have! It can be worn alone on a regular basis or on top of a foundation to set everything in place.

Technic Cosmetics Colour Fix Bronzer Palette ♥♥♥♥♥

This bronzer palette is all you need! It works on almost every skin tone and gives you a variety of shades for contouring and bronzing.

Technic Cosmetics Colour Fix Blush Palette ♥♥♥♥♥

Another great palette with a variety of blushes, the pigmentation is great and the product blends really well.

Bronx Colors Strobing Palette ♥♥♥♥♥

This a definitely a gorgeous palette for fiercy highlighted look. I like to choose this on every special occasion.

EYES

Profusion Eyeshadow Primer ♥♥♥♥♥

A primer is a must else all the hard work you put in blending and making your eyeshadow just perfect, will start to fade away in no time.

Primer Profusion Pro Eyes Palette (Zing, Devious, Celestial) ♥♥♥♥♥

This is a complete eye palette, it comes  with gorgeous eyeshadow shades which are super pigmented and easily blendable, you also get eyeshadow primer, concealer, gel eyeliners, eyebrow powders and brushes.

Maybelline Hyper Glitz Ink – Blue Moon ♥♥♥♥♥

The Hyper Glitz Ink comes in a number of gorgeous shades, I am eyeing a few more but for now I am loving this beautiful metallic blue.

Tarte Lifted Mascara ♥♥♥♥♥

Tarte products are quite promising, the lifted mascara adds enough length and volume, and gives you fuller thicker lashes.

EYEBROWS

Technic Cosmetics Browmazing Brow Gel ♥♥♥♥♥

Filling in your brows is an important step which is often missed. I quite like this eyebrow gel, its lasts the entire day without smudging a bit!

LIPS

Bite Beauty – Chai ♥♥♥♥♥

Bite Beauty lipsticks are undoubtedly imressive. Not only the shades are gorgeous but the creamy smooth texture will definitely make you fall in love with them!

Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Kokie Cosmetics, the products were sent to me by the brand but the review is absolutely genuine and true.

I am so thrilled and excited to share some really exciting looks to try this Valentines Day, my very first look is a soft smokey eye makeup paired with a nude lip. In this look, I tried some new products from Kokie Cosmetics and my detailed review of each product is listed down below.

Valentines Day Makeup Look 1 - Smokey Eye paired with a Nude Lip | Makeupmagique - YouTube

Kokie Nail Polish – Fast Lane

Nail polishes will always remain my first love! This gorgeous maroon is just what you need especially during this time of the year. The quality, packaging, pigmentation… everything about this product is nothing but perfection! I love the applicator, it really helps you get a smooth even finish in just one swipe. The polish is highly pigmented and gives opaque coverage in one coat itself, and what I love the most is that it is quick drying!

  • Gorgeous Packaging
  • Gorgeous Finish
  • Opaque and Highly Pigmented
  • Great Applicator
  • Quick Dry

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $6 BUY HERE

Kokie Skin Perfect HD Foundation

Luckily, the shade I received was my exact match! This foundation has quite a runny consistency, I love to wear it with a damp beauty blender. It gives medium to full coverage with a semi-matte finish and does not look cakey at all! The finish is absolutely natural and it sits comfortably on the skin.

I like to use foundations that have sheer to medium coverage, for a more natural look. This foundation in spite of giving more coverage, helps keep the natural look intact!

  • Comfortable to wear
  • Convenient Pump Packaging
  • Medium-Full Coverage
  • Natural Semi-Matte Finish
  • Comes in 18 Shades

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $13 BUY HERE

Kokie Length and Volume Mascara

I love mascaras, definitely one product I cannot live without! I am always in hunt for mascaras that make my lashes lengthy and voluminous. This mascara definitely impressed me with its lengthening power, though I expected more from the volume aspect; but overall this one is a good pick. Another great thing about the product is its applicator which helps coat every little lash.

  • Smudge-Proof
  • Easily Buildable
  • Pigmented
  • Amazing Applicator
  • Gives Great Length

LIKE IT! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $7 BUY HERE

Kokie Lip Liner Pencil – Nude Pink

A good smooth, creamy and pigmented lip liner is a must have and that is exactly what describes this product. The shade is gorgeous and would be a perfect match for most of my lipsticks. The only downside I feel to the product is the packaging, I like pencils with retractable packaging, but if you don’t mind using pencils that need be sharpened, this is definitely your pick!

Checkout the swatches in the video linked above
  • Smooth & Creamy
  • Pigmented
  • Non-Retractable Packaging

LOVE IT! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $6 BUY HERE

Kokie Kissable Liquid Lipstick – Less is More

I am quite fond of liquid lipsticks, especially because of their ability to last longer. The Kissable liquid lipstick has a thick formula, It gives quite an opaque coverage. I was somehow not very excited about the formula and how it sits, definitely a gorgeous shade! Maybe I’ll have to play around a little more to develop a fondness for it.

Check out the swatches in the video linked above
  • Opaque coverage
  • Pigmented
  • Good Packaging
  • Slightly patchy finish

FOUND IT OKAY! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $6 BUY HERE

Kokie Cream Lipstick – Rose at Dawn

The product claims to give full, rich color and non-drying formula. Unfortunately, this is my least favorite product! The formula looks patchy, and the application isn’t as smooth as I would like it to be, but definitely long lasting.

  • Good Packaging
  • Long Lasting
  • Patchy Finish

NOT MY FAVOURITE! ♥♥♥♥♥

Price: $6 BUY HERE

Ever since holographic and chrome nail trends have come into the picture, I am hooked. It’s always so hard for me to choose one of the two mesmerizing effects, this time I decided to play with both and absolutely loved the way it turned out. Nail pigments like these work best on gel nails. With regular nail polish the results aren’t the same and of course, the wear time is much less. Also, since I am traveling, it made perfect sense to go for gel nails as there would be no time for manicure fixes.

Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with b.liv, the product was sent to me by the brand but my thoughts on it are absolutely genuine and true.

Blackheads are definitely one of the most detestable skin concerns, and most of us would agree to the fact that their removal is a tedious affair. Painful peel off masks or squeezing out those blackeads are not really my favorite options for blackead removal. When I first learnt about the b.liv off with those heads sebum gel which helps you get rid of blackheads in the most easy and effetive manner, it surely sounded as a game changer and I had to try to belive. Well, Does it stand by what it says? Read on to know more…

Packaging

The sebum gel comes in a good quality plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. A pump packaging is a great way to keep control on the amount of product to be used, and the plastic bottle is always a good idea! The overall packaging is not only smart, but also compact and travel-friendly.

Quality

The product is a clear gel which is super easy to apply, it spreads evenly and gets quickly absorbed into the skin. It has an extremely mild smell, nothing that would bother you.

Usage

You would need only a pump at once. The gel is to be applied to target areas after face wash followed by regular everyday skincare routine. I like to use it twice a day every day.

How does it work?

The sebum gel helps deep clean clogged pores which are the root cause of blackheads and whiteheads. A regular use would not only help remove existing blackheads and whiteheads but would also prevent them from building.

Results

The most important point to state is that this did NOT cause any redness or irritation on my skin. I have a few blackheads and whiteheads on my nose, After using this for a week now, the results are as follows

DAY3 Third day onwards I started noticing a visible reduction in whiteheads, mainly on the bridge of the nose, I could definitely see cleaner skin compared to day 1.

DAY5 Towards the fifth day, the whiteheads on the bridge of the nose were reduced to a great extent and there was a visible reduction in blackheads on the sides of my nose.

DAY7 Definitely a drastic improvement. Much cleaner skin!! The whiteheads are absolutely gone and the blackheads are reduced to a great extent. I can still see a few towards sides but looks like it will be taken care of by the end of DAY14.

If you have been following my blogs for a while, you would already know that my comfort zone lies in softer neutral looks. Since past couple of months, I have been quite experimental and letting the old habits break. I had so much fun trying my hand on cut crease, halo eye makeup looks and a super bold lip was the next thing on the list. Finally, after the longest time of shying away from dark lipsticks, I finally tested the boldest lip shade in my collection.

Winter Makeup Tutorial

Winter Glam Makeup ft. Bold Lip | Makeupmagique - YouTube

To play safe, I paired this deep maroon lipstick with a softer eye makeup. The look turned out to be so apt for winters and quite versatile too. You can wear this during the day or even for a fancy night out.

Such a thrilling day it is… this very same day 3 years back, I finally gave blogging a kick start. Yes! Today Makeupmagique turns 3!! I never thought of being a blogger, it’s so much fun to see how things unfold and how the universe helps you find your way. Over this period of time, I have experienced so many emotions… there have been so many disappointments and setbacks but at the same time a lot of fun, joy, and vigor. My journey so far as a blogger has definitely been a roller coaster ride and I am more than happy to share it with you all.

How I got started?

Back in 2012, I started working as a Telecom Engineer, I definitely loved my job and it was a great learning experience… In 2013, I switched to Software and it was even better!! Thrilling and exciting… I was quite happy and content. During that time I was getting married and like any other bride-to-be, I started exploring the world of beauty and makeup… Beauty blogs became my favorite subject and watching makeup tutorials was next level happiness.

In 2014, My love for reading beauty blogs and watching Makeup Videos did not fade away and I so liked the idea of sharing your passion with the online community. At that time, I was less into makeup and more into nail art; so I thought why not start with a Facebook page… It was thrilling to share my nail art pictures with you all. My page then was called Manicure Magique (which is now Makeupmagique). Long story short, it was all good and I was enjoying the idea. Starting a blog was a next level thing and only a dream which would have remained unfolded if my husband wouldn’t have pushed me to pursue it.

In 2015… This day! 2nd January… My blog was finally in form and my very FIRST POST went live. Until this day, my love for blogging has only grown. I finally decide to be a full-time blogger and youtuber in February 2017.

A Final Word

What started as a mere hobby would never have become my full-time passion and profession without the love and support of each one of you. Makeupmagique has crossed 400,000 viewers and each one of you remain important and valuable. I would love to make this platform your one-stop destination for all your beauty queries, tips, and Ideas. You can feel free to drop your questions/ suggestions/ comments and I would love to hear from you.

Happy Ney Year!!

Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Kiss Me Honey, the products were sent to me by the brand, but my opinion on them is absolutely genuine and true.

Chapped lips, flaky skin, and dry cuticles are my winter dreads! Regular and timely moisturization is surely the key to happy skin during winters but it isn’t as simple as it sounds. A busy winter morning may not leave you with enough time for self-care, this is when I reach out for a lip balm for most of my skin concerns.

I use a lip balm not only to treat chapped lips but also as a quick fix for dry patches on the skin and sometimes also to prevent blisters from shoes. Now since a lip balm is one of my beauty must-haves, it has to be safe and effective.

I am totally in love with organic products. When I first learned that Kiss me Honey makes organic lip balms which are chemical free and contains nourishing ingredients such as organic beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin E oil, almond oil, it definitely sounded a hit. I have been trying these for a few weeks now and here is what I think.

Packaging

Thank God these do not come in tub packaging! I love the cute black and hot pink stick case these come in, definitely reduces the risk of contamination, unlike the tub packaging.

Quality/ Texture

When talking of quality, nothing can beat purity. The fact that these are chemical free and made of all organic ingredients immediately gives a sense of trust. They have organic flavors added which is absolutely NOT over-empowering like most of the other lip balms.

What I like most about this product is that on application it does not leave a shiny glossy look, it looks and feels very light and natural which makes it absolutely suitable for use by men and children. The mild scent makes it a very comfortable wear even for those who prefer non-scented products. Apart from that, the variety of flavors makes it really exciting.

Effectiveness

I have tried this lip balm on dry lips and it did heal in the very first go itself. It keeps your lips hydrated for about 4 hours after which you may need to re-apply. I also like to use this beneath my lipstick for added moisturization all day.
