I have been getting a lot of questions lately on various skin concerns and have been meaning to address them since long! Most of us are used to applying just a moisturizer after face wash and expect it to feed the skin with all the magic that results into perfection… well, a moisturizer alone isn’t enough for your skin as it isn’t really capable of sinking in and performing the targeted action. It’s more like an external barrier.
Whether your are juggling with dullness, dryness or pigmentation, it’s important to incorporate the use of serum in your daily skincare routine. I have been using the Triple-Brightening Daily active serum for two weeks now… It helps not only eliminate dullness by reducing dark spots but also aids in softening and smoothening the skin texture. Regular application visibly gives brighter, even-toned skin.
Why do you need serums?
Serums are capable of penetrating deep into the skin and not just sit on the top. They are packed with active ingredients for a more targeted action. You could somewhat consider them as a lighter version on moisturizers. The Triple-Brightening Daily active serum consists of active ingredients such as glycolic acid, Licorice, Bearberry, and Kojic Acid that helps in improving your overall complexion, resulting in more youthful and radiant skin.
How often should you use serums?
Definitely daily! After you wash your face and prior to applying moisturizer. I like to use 2-3 drops once a day.
Can a serum replace moisturizer?
Well, I wouldn’t say so. Though serums are capable of moisturizing, but they are much lighter compared to moisturizers. It’s definitely a good idea to use a moisturizer after serum application to lock in the goodness of all the active ingredients.
I hope this helps you find answers to your skin concerns… If you have any question, feel free to leave a comment or reach out to me on social media!
And it’s time for the giveaway!! You could stand a chance to win a bottle of Triple-Brightening Daily active serum by refresh skin therapy worth $45. The additional details are listed below

Lipsticks and me, you can call us indispensable… though I like lipsticks in every texture, matte, creamy, satin.. but there is something about liquid lipsticks that places it a step above the rest. I have been trying the Ever liquid lipsticks from WE makeup lately and shared the swatches on my Instagram… you all clearly loved them!! Read on for a detailed review…
EVER Liquid lipsticks come in 46 shades ranging from nudes to bolds and metallics. If you go to their website, you’ll see how beautifully they have shared the swatches for every shade on various skin tones, making it easy for you to pick your shades.
Texture & Quality
Jumping straight into the quality and texture which is the most important factor for a liquid lipstick! To start with, the lipstick is quite liquidy which glides on smoothly and evenly giving a non-patchy finish which I really love because sometimes if the texture is thick, the application tends to be patchy.
These lipsticks come with a slightly curved applicator which sits comfortably on the lips hence aiding a perfect application. My personal favorite applicators are the ones which are pointed at the tip, but this one does the job quite well.
The formula is rich in pigmentation and gives a completely matte finish. Love the full coverage it gives in just one swipe!
Overall, these feel quite comfortable on the lips. They do not feel too drying or sticky.
The best part about liquid lipsticks is the wear time! These stay on for good 6-8 hours and do not really come off on eating and drinking (though it does wear off slightly from the center but it isn’t much noticeable or annoying)… Which means you can rely on them while heading out and need not worry about touch-ups!

You may already know, I am obsessed with mascaras big time!! Testing and trying new products is my favorite part of the job! This was my first time trying a product from milk makeup… though I have been eyeing their blur stick for a while now, still contemplating a purchase. I was thrilled to have received their very new Kush Mascara and After having it tried for two weeks now, here is what I think ✨
I personally like sleek packaging, this one on the others hand is slightly bulkier than usual mascara cases, the somewhat metallic outer body makes it a tad bit heavier.. don’t get me wrong, it’s Uber chick, just not my favorite most.
This is where most of the magic lies.. My favorite has always been hourglass brushes or a slightly thinner wands, this one has a tapered, tree-shaped brush with criss-cross bristles that helps coat and lift every single lash from root to tip for a defined, clump-free effect. Surprisingly, the brush does a faulous job on the lower lid lashes! It did break my comfort zone of loving thinner wands to a good extent.
When it comes to mascara, I want it to be super duper dramatic… to give me lashes that are crazy lengthy and voluminous.
What I loved
✨it adds a nice curl to the lashes
✨Adds a good amount of length
✨the volumizing factor is someway okay
✨it isn’t waterproof
✨the formula collects at the top of the packaging, makes it very messy on the wand
Summers are the time for memorable vacations and being out in the sun soaking in all the fun you can! Just to make sure you have all your beauty essentials packed, here is a quick checklist.
1. Body Mist
You want to smell good while binging on the delicacies and admiring the view of your vacation destination, A few sprays of body mist after a shower can keep you fresh all day long. A bonus tip, using a mist after applying body lotion helps the effect last even longer.
2. Blackhead removal gel
Never neglect skincare even on the busiest day. During summers, skin tends to get more oily than usual, causing clogged pores and blackheads… of course a vacation isn’t the place for elaborated face masks or facials, which is why I love using the b.liv blackhead removal sebum gel, which works on keeping the pores clean and blackhead free while you are busy having fun.
Keeping skin well moisturized is another important point to keep in mind. My combinational skin loves Sunday Riley water cream.
4. Body butter
A small tub of body butter can be of much use. I love to use a small amount to massage my tired feet at the end of the day or a quick hand massage to relieve those dry hands. Keeping a body butter handy can be useful for a variety of purposes. Body shop body butters are great and they have a huge variety to choose from.
5. Dry shampoo
Though it’s best to wash your hair frequently during summers to keep oily scalp at bay… but I understand, vacations also mean early breakfast buffets which can practically leave you no time to wash your hair. This is when you would wanna reach out for a dry shampoo. I am currently trying the OUAI dry shampoo, it isn’t really my favorite so far… you could check out Sephora, try a few brands and see what works best for you.
Hope this quick little checklist turns out to be useful for you… Stay tuned for more travel beauty blogs!!
Healthy happy hair demand care and attention… not necessarily an elaborated extravagant routines but simple tips too can be largely effective. Sharing some of my everyday hair care tips which are affordable, easy and super effective.
No matter what your hair texture may be, oiling can always help improve hair quality. Now you can choose a hair oil that works best for you, for me, I keep switching between Olive Oil and Coconut Oil. A good warm oil head massage accelerates hair growth and adds shine. I like to oil my hair once a week, doing this too often makes my scalp oily… make sure you know your hair texture and behavior well.
2. Shampoo + Conditioner
You can’t just pick any shampoo and expect it to be friends with your mane! It’s important to know your scalp and hair texture, you could try out a few travel size shampoo bottles and see what works best. I have slightly oily scalp, but my hair easily tends to become dry, conditioning shampoos sometimes make my hair look flat, whereas the ones for oily hair make them look like dried grass! So I like to use a shampoo that can take away the excess oil from the scalp at the same time add moisture to the length. My current favorite is Garnier Whole Blends Nourishing Shampoo with Avocado Oil & Shea Butter Extracts.
3. Hair Mask
A good hair mask is a must-have! Regular use helps make hair more manageable… I like to use a hair mask once a week after shampoo (with no conditioner or prior oiling) let it sit for a minute or so and rinse off thoroughly. My current favorite is Garnier Fructis Smoothing 1 Minute Hair Mask. It’s quick and makes my hair super smooth and manageable.
4. Hair Towel
Do invest in a good hair towel!! Wrapping your hair in a hair towel after a wash really helps cut down drying time and reduces frizz to a great extent, which also means you reduce the use of hair dryers. Hair towels or wraps are much softer and lighter than regular towels, hence more gentle on your hair. You could even use a T-Shirt in place of a hair towel. I am currently using Aquis and loving it.
5. Tie Hair while going to bed
I have noticed a huge amount of hair fall control ever since I have started tieing my hair while going to bed. If it feels uncomfortable, you could make a high bun or a braid… Make sure to use soft cloth rubber bands.
6. Shower Filters
Most of the areas have water supply which is unfit for the hair and in turn, causes a lot of hair damage. Using a shower filter can help protect your hair from harshly treated water.
7. Wide Tooth Comb
I have been using wide tooth combs for years and love them! They are super gentle and helps untangle hair without causing breakage. A good quality comb doesn’t feel scratchy, in fact, has a massaging effect on the scalp.
8. Hair care on a windy day
It may seem all dreamy and filmy to have your hair swinging on a windy day… but trust me..it can be really damaging!! Consider wearing a cap, or maybe wrap up a scarf, or make a bun.. if nothing else, a braid or a ponytail can be of much good.
Do give these simple tips a try and let me know how they turned out for you!!
Summers! here they come! I have always enjoyed summers more than winters, somehow I feel dressing up is more interesting in summers compared to winters, most of my friends believe in the contrary though… This summer, I am definitely wearing more warm tone makeup looks, quite facinated by the peaches and corals these days. Here is my first look for the season. Do checkout the tutorial for a step-to-step guide on how I acheved this look.
