If you love London just as much as I do, you will feel right at home here. As a newcomer, I sometimes find London too big, too cold and too wet but I would not change anything if I could. This city, that I now proudly call my home, is an endless source of inspiration and fun. Just wait and see
I can’t believe that it has been 22 years, since I last visited Brighton! I was so young and studied at Lewes College just outside Brighton. It was my first time abroad by myself - and already then I knew, that I was in love with England!
If you love Notting Hill and delicious food as much as I do, you need to do yourself a favour and visit Pizza East in Portobello! Notting Hill is the perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon, but sightseeing and shopping makes me hungry - and that’s where Pizza East calls my name!
I can’t believe that I am about to write this… But Clara is one! My little girl is actually 1 year old. What just happened? More than ever, I am thinking about my mother’s words to me, when Clara was born: “Hold on to the tiny moments and cherish the little snuggles… They grow up so fast!” She was right!
Having grown up at the Danish west coast, I often miss the smell, the beauty, wind in my hair, sandy toes and a sun kissed nose… In other words everything connected to the sea. When you live in London with a little one, I find it important to sometimes go with my family to places, where we can be together in more peaceful surroundings and being “just the three of us"
“Datenight"… A word, that used to be quite familiar in my vocabulary - but not so much now! Being new parents, Frenchie and I don’t get to go out that often, so when we do, we carefully select, what we want to do in advance, to make the most of it!
United Kingdom… You are so much more than just London! And I am so happy, that I finally get to see so much of you, now, that Clara is old enough to explore this beautiful country with her parents! This weekend it was all about Shakespeare - and a beautiful, newly opened hotel in Stratford-Upon-Avon!
Oscar WIlde, Mary Robinson, Cilian Murphy, Peter O´Toole, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, James Joyce, Gabriel Byrne, Samuel Beckett, Bram Stoker and recently most of the HBO Game of Thrones cast… These are just some of the famous people who are either Irish or have contributed to making Ireland, what it is today - a very popular travelling destination
I have the countryside on my mind...
If you have read my previous blog post, you know, that Frenchie, Clara and I recently enjoyed a lovely weekend break in the countryside! Our journey began in Somerset, and then we travelled further south…
Sometimes you need a bit of green… And green was exactly what this trip was all about! We were on our way far, far south west to get some fresh air, stay at beautiful hotels, enjoy amazing food - and meet a couple of ponies!
