Sonya and her family escaped the cold weather in Canada to enjoy a sunny family vacation in Florida. I had a blast photographing Sonya and her family’s vacation portraits in Kissimmee.
Sonya and her parents, brothers and sisters rented a beautiful vacation villa in Kissimmee. Kissimmee is known for an abundance of fully furnished luxury homes rented at a great price for large families. It is a great alternative to renting multiple rooms in a hotel and allows the family to stay close to each other.
Sonya hired a private chef to cook up dinners for the family which made their vacation even more special. I got to photograph their portraits in the backyard right as the sun was setting.
Vacation photography is very popular here in Florida. It is such a great way to capture memories professionally that can be shared with all the family members. Sonya and the kids visited all four Disney Parks during their trip. They all had an amazing vacation and joked that they will need a vacation from their vacation when they return home (you can imagine 5 little ones running around excitedly throughout all of the Disney parks). Here are some pictures of their family portrait session.
Amanda and Christopher will always have a special place in my heart. I meet them as a recently engaged couple during their engagement session in Winter Park a few years back. We laughed and giggled the entire shoot and shared some deep conversations as well.
We also had the honor of photographing their wedding a year later. It would be the last wedding my Husband and I photographed together before he passed away from cancer just a few months later.
He was so sick at the time but made a decision to be a part of capturing their wedding day no matter what. Some clients ask me what will happen if I’m unable to photograph their wedding (which is an important question) – and I’m proud to say that I have never missed a wedding- ever. I photographed a wedding 3 days after my husband passed away. Most people would see this am unbearable task- but I had made a decision that as long as I have two legs and two arms- I will be there.
Just like I had been there for Amanda and Christopher documenting some of their most important moments of their lives, they had been there for me while going through some of my hardest moments of my life.
I was so happy to find out that Amanda and Christopher were blessed with TWINS. Our reunion was a heartwarming one during our maternity session at Cypress Grove Estate Park. We laughed and caught up just like old friends. The most amazing things is that Amanda gave birth just a couple of days after our session! These images are super special to me!
I had such a fun time photographing Angel and Amanda’s Portrait Session in Cypress Grove Estate House earlier last week. Since December is both of their birthday months- they wanted some fun birthday images along with more fashionable portraits.
They both moved from New York to Florida earlier to escape the cold weather. The weather was absolutely perfect on the day of our shoot with temperatures in the upper 70’s and there was not a single cloud in the sky. Cypress Grove estate park sits on a beautiful lake and the sunsets are just gorgeous there. We started our session out with their casual birthday t-shirts and ended the shoot with a more elegant and dressy look- perfect for more dramatic sunset pictures.
Angel is currently in school and Amanda is an actress and a talented dancer. Their beautiful mother showed up to pick them up as we neared the end of our session. We all rallied her to take at least one picture with her girls which ended up being one of my favorite images from our session! look how cute they look!
I’m so lucky to get to live in a place where you can still comfortably photograph in parks in the middle of the “winter”!
Rebecca and Dennis’s Family Session at Cypress Grove Estate House
I Love watching families and their children grow. This was the case when photographing Rebecca and Dennis’s Beautiful family. Their two gorgeous girls grew so much since the last time I did their family portraits. They flew in from the Netherlands for their annual Florida vacation and left in time to dodge the hurricane (Irma). Along with their immediate family members, we headed to Cypress Grove Estate Park to capture some late morning pictures.
I Love photographing at Cypress Grove Estate Park not only because it is a beautiful Park located adjacent to a large lake, but because you don’t need a permit to have a photoshoot there- which is a huge plus, especially for last minute photo shoots. The Park sits on 80 Acres of perfectly manicured lawns, all on the cusp of Lake Jessamine. The Mature Cypress trees aren’t bad either! They brought along their siblings this time and I had such a blast capturing all of the fun. Rebeccas Parents were also celebrating their 40th Wedding Anniversary! What a perfect way to capture such a beautiful time in their lives with all of their kids
It was a seriously hot day, but none the less as picturesque as can be. With vivid blue Floridian skies and soft fluffy clouds, I was off to photograph some Family Portraits at Disney’s Magic Kingdom for Candice and her adorable family who were visiting Orlando on a family vacation.
This power couple travels all over the world and always makes sure to capture the fun through professional photographs. I always love photographing at Magic Kingdom because the staff are extremely lenient, flexible and helpful. The grounds are always perfectly primed and you rarely have bored or agitated children during family pictures. An extra perk is the many facilities where you can take a break and cool off as Florida can be dangerously hot in the summer time.
We had such a blast! one of my favorite moments: breaking for french fries and getting to see all of their recent traveling pictures including from Paris and Mexico.
Being an avid traveler myself, I’ve realized during the last few years that I feel the most alive when experiencing life through traveling and learning about different cultures. We definitely bonded through our love for exploring this beautiful planet!
