Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I actually took a week off, last week.  I've not done that too many times over the many years of this blog's existence.  Hehehe...So you better believe I'm back with a BIG, totally scrap-a-licious entry. I just told my team I was so thrilled with their pages.  I couldn't stop smiling as I was putting this blog together. I hope you like it half as much as I.

We've got new templates, some serious layout love for them, previously released templates and pages from other designer's goodies.  I've also got a new challenge in the group and a coupon code so you can grab the new templates at a discount.  Enjoy!

A scrappy sister sent me a few sketches of what she wanted as digital templates and that's how several of these templates came about.  A few I sketched out myself months ago and finally got around to designing.  This first one was such a blast to design, though I will admit, it took me a long time to get just the right patterns, solids, backgrounds together...then it was smooth sailing from there.  I just don't like a page that is too busy and with a lot of different colors and patterns.  My mind is cluttered enough so I need my pages to be less spazzy.  Hehehe...

I recently came across these adorable pictures of my boys and their cousins, thanks to FB and there flashbacks.  I loved the contrast of expressions when my boys received a kiss from their niece.  Hilarious!  Of course, JJ had his typical "Autistic" expressionless look.

These template need a designer with awesome papers.  So you know, I jumped right to my gal Aimee Harrison.  She's got a new collection out that is so bright and fun, I couldn't resist Pineapple Express. If it's totally your kind of 'thang.  keep reading, I've got another page with it.

No what I love about templates and maybe you too, is that the designer has taken all of the time for the hard parts!  Hehehe...That is totally what happened on this page.  The template took me a really long to design, but the page scrapped up in mere minutes flat.  I used our Optimism Collection for this page.  I love the masculinity and youthfulness of this collection.

Tammy totally rocked this pack of templates. She played with three of them and as usual, they are jaw droppers.  She also confessed to how fast they scrapped up.  When you see them, you won't believe that she didn't spend an afternoon on them.

Like this one with our little cutie...Is she just not the cutest?!  Those faces!  Find these goodies at the Sweet Shoppe.

Tammy used an amalgamation of goodies from the Sweet Shoppe for this one. If you ever have any specific questions about a page, download it and bring it to our group and ask.  The sisters are so, so helpful and always have an answer.

I know, right?!  How absolutely exceptional?!  These colors are so, so beautiful, too.  Ya just know they are from the Sweet Shoppe, again.

Jarmila has worked her magic with BooLand. I'd like to be standing right there!

Ngoc used goodies from Aprilisa.  You can find her at GingerScraps.

I miss the Blue Jays and Cardinals.  I've not spotted them here in Europe yet.  Though there are some lovely replacements.  I'm in love with the tiny red (orange to me) breast.  He's so darn cute.  I've got so many birds at our place in Germany.  I fill FOUR feeders in the morning and by lunch they are all empty!  Even the crows are starting to hang out at the cafe!

Hilary is a huge Clever Monkey Graphics fan.  You can also conveniently find her at Gingerscraps.

If you are like me, a fan of bright colors, then this page from Robin will certainly make you smile and this little lady has me cracking up.  As much as I love the digital part of designing and scrapbooking it really is the photos that win the show for me.  I love photos and they don't even have to be mine.

Nearly as much as I love bright colors, I love denim.  Nothing like an awesome fitting pair of blue jeans, right?!  I love what Rachelle from Bits N' Pieces has done with her page.  She used goodies from Just So Scrappy. I so love Katie's kits and collections.

I've got a page from scrappy sister Dorian this week.  She's also showing off her little man who is actually quite the big man, now.  Hehehe...I love going back to old pics, though.  Especially, since the boys are so big now.  Don't get me wrong, I love watching them grow and I really appreciate that they are becoming so independent.  Scrapping kids, teens, adults, pets and various occasions makes the hobby so much more interesting.

I've got a COUPON of 30% off the Ecstatic templates for one week only!
Use code TCOTECSTATIC and save!

I've got some new printables in the shop for our hybrid and traditional fans.  If you are a planner fan these might be just right for you as well.  I'm in a few groups for planners and there were a lot of people looking for things dealing with mental issues.  There were also some requests for more masculine content.  After all, guys can have cool planners too, right?!  I thought our Optimism collection would be perfect for these.

So I designed some dashboards in Personal size.  Though you could size them anyway you want.

There are also three pages of stickers.  I designed all the printable pages on an 8x11 inch sheet so they will easily go through all kinds of computers around the world.  There are png and jpg formats for the stickers so if your cutting machine is png compatible, you can run them through there.

I told you earlier I had another page with Pineapple Express.  Here it is!  My mo-la at their place in Spain. If you're a fan of ours, you've seen this view a lot.  Hehehe...Mmmm...Spain!

This is a page using our Colorful templates and what inspired me to make the rest of the pack.  Unicorns and Rainbows from Aimee was used and those are my fabulous peonies, which I recently found out were edible.  So are roses!  I've been making rose water, potpourri...Can't wait to try rose jam, but I've made SO much jam from the berries, it'll take all year to eat it.

LouCee also had a fabulous release last week, Sugar and Spice.  I'm so in love with all of this girly delight.  That mason jar of hearts and the little lady are so fab.  I scrapped up my girlfriend's little beauty.

I've got a few more pages to show off that have come in later.  Nothing wrong with using the same templates or pack of templates over and over, right?!  Scrappy Sister Jenni has been totally abusing both our packs of Planned templates and I'm loving the results.  This is the kind of abuse that I can totally appreciate.  Hehehe...She's another jaw dropping creative artist.

I've got several new pages in using our Love Always templates.

Just take a gawk at this one!

Ngoc also played with a few of our templates from Love Always and A Reason To Celebrate.

These colors and the setting are so beautiful and inspiring.  I love seeing so much of Ngoc's life.  How awesome of her to share it with us.

Danica scrapped her star in some seriously refreshing goodies.

More from Ngoc and A Reason To Celebrate.  You don't have to scrap romantic or wedding pics with our, A Reason To Celebrate collection.

Jump over to the group, click on the photos tab, click on the July Album, then read the Recipe in the album's description.  Scrap up a page using our free goodies from all of the previous month's challenges and place your page back in the July album.  At the end of the month, I'll send around a link for this free template for your participation.

Shoo wee!  That was a big one. I'm so glad you joined us and I hope to see you in our group.

Happy scrapping!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

We've returned with a reminder of our 50% off sale that is going on now in the Kreative Design Studio, our extensive new digital scrapbooking collection, A Reason To Celebrate, inspiration, designs from other shops and some pretty fabulous freebies.

Dive on in to some serious scrap-a-liscious!

And there you have it!  All of our packs for the new collection, A Reason To Celebrate.  A party pack to help you document parties, proms, dances, festive gatherings, posh evenings out...

The wedding pack has all of the essentials you'll need to scrap that extra special day. Our store description has lists of exactly what you get.

The paper pack contains a half dozen of wedding specific papers but the other 30 or so are great for any occasion.  I couldn't even get all of the papers on this preview.

There are 12 different templates that will make album design a snap!

The cluster frames and graphics pack make scrapbooking, card making...so, so fast.  You'll have gorgeous pages in no time at all when you use them.

The journal cards can be used for so many different things.  Mini albums, Project Life pages, loosely in your pages.  For a souvenir at the wedding itself...Here's my blog on how to make a mini album from journal cards.  Click here for yet another project idea using journal cards.

This is my page using a template from the first pack and the collection.  It's also another attempt at me designing a patterned paper.  I love the black and gold together and Manu's awesome Commercial Use chandeliers.

I got to thinking, "Wow! I sure do have a lot of pictures to scrap and don't want to go broke printing out 100 pages."  So, I went shopping in my own shop to find templates where I can use multiple photos and found my Project Simple and More Project Simple packs.  (Some of our most popular templates.). They scrap unbelievably quick.  I feel guilty when I spend so little time on a page.  Hehehe...

More of my pages with More Project Simple and A Reason To Celebrate.  The lovely girly bridal party.

The collection and a template from Love Always.

Y'all!  This was another page where I felt absolutely guilty with how fast it scrapped.  I used a template from the second pack and seriously just switched and changed a couple of elements, really.  Then added my pics.  So darn easy!

If you are looking to sample the collection, newsletter recipients receive a free mini, every other month on our newest scrapbooking endeavors in the One Word Wonders series.

Last week's freebie also gives you a sample.

Here's a close up look at the other pack of templates that will go just marvelously with A Reason To Celebrate.  Use them to show off what you love.  Whether it be a place, person or pet, they'll be perfect.

Check out what the team and I have designed with Love Always.

Kim is such a talent.  She paired up the template with goodies from KCB.  Find them at the Sweet Shoppe.

Jarmila made great use of the fun pockets and edging.

Here's another one from me pairing it up with the new collection.  Isn't Throwing Some Scraps Around Commercial Use butterfly stunning?!

With the sale going on, it's the perfect time to buy the goodies you have in your cart.  It'll be the last time for a while that I'll have the shop on sale for 50%.  After THIS FRIDAY, we're going back to regular prices.
Today is the last day to save 50%.

Here are our newest templates in the shop that might be in your cart.

I had a fantastic opportunity to host a get together at my home in Germany with some incredibly wonderful scrappy sisters and I scrapped this special event with a new collection from JB Studio and Made By Keuntje.

Do you recognize any of the other designers or me?!

I get a lot of crap from my friends, family and fellow designers about all of the free stuff I give away, but I just can't help myself.  I've never been a wealthy person.  I've been homeless, starving, started work at 13 and life has been nearly impossible financially, most of the time.  It still ain't easy at all, but I'm just a giving kind of person and I know if it weren't for the free stuff, I would have never started digital scrapbooking.  (Use this link to find out how to start digital scrapbooking for free.)So in a way, I'm giving back.

I got such a great reaction from the fans in the group who participated in the choose the next freebie that I wanted to give an extra special token of my appreciation for that participation.  It's what makes the group so much fun to be a part of.  If you're not a part of the family yet, be sure to join us.  Don't be afraid to ask questions.  We love to help and along with my scrappy sisters we always have answers.  I and a few others, share freebies everyday, too.  You may show off any creative project in the group.  It just has to be family friendly.

Enjoy this extra special freebie from the bottom of my heart and as always, happy scrapping!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I'm so amazed at how different the weather is between Germany and Belgium.  We live only 3 hours from our vacation home in Germany, when traffic is good (which it rarely is when one must driveth through Brussels).  It's been stormy, rainy and cool in Belgium all spring really.  While in Germany someone put the sun on high and blew all of the rain clouds away!  I nearly killed myself mowing the lawn at 10 am!  Hehehe...It was SO hot!  I hope the weather is fair and fine wherever you are and that you'll enjoy the blog we've got for you, today.

New templates have hit the Kreative Design Studio.  I've pages from myself and team as well as store wide sale and a new freebie that our fans chose.  I hope you were one of them to choose.

These templates started off as a page I made for a Creative eTeam requirement for Aimee Harrison only the collection has not yet released.  I did swipe Aimee's color palette for them and meant for them to coordinate with her collection.  I run most of my templates by scrappy sister, Tammy who pushed me to up the release date.  Hehehe...So my page that started the whole thing is in the wings waiting it's collections release.  I did make two others.  Check them out.

I wanted to stick with the color fun in the templates and remembered some kind of butterfly inspired kit from Amber Shaw that I didn't use yet.  Any time I scrap with her goodies I'm reminded of just how precious life is.  It's so, so unfortunately to have lost such a shining star.  However, I'm always reminded of her when I see all of her files in my computer.

I just had to try and get one of these templates to go with my niece's album, which I've decided to just take my time on designing.  The collection, A Reason To Celebrate is all finished and ready for the shops.  It's SO huge! I've got THREE packs of coordinating templates, graphics, journal cards, cluster frames, frame clusters, NINE packs of elements (I know, right?!) and 5 folders of papers.  Shoo wee!

It will all be in the shop for the beginning of next month.

Xuxper Designs

Antebellum Press

 Rachel Etrog Designs

Here are a couple of pages I received recently from other scrappy sisters playing with our templates.

You'll be able to get all of the awesomeness from the shop this week, no problem because we've got a BIG summer sale going on for ONE WEEK ONLY this month.  I'll put another sale up next month, but not with this deep discount.

I had another, "You choose the freebie" post in our group.  I hope you were a part of it.  Make sure you're in the group with us.  There are exclusive freebies, daily freebies, inspiration from all around DigiLand, scrap chat, special events...we are a super active group and it sure would be nice to have you a part of it.

This was most voted item. I used our collection, A Reason To Celebrate.

Look for the free mini in the next newsletter.  I'm in Germany where my connection isn't great and the coordinating templates are huge.  As long as I'm here, for the summer, I'll have to send links for them after purchase. I do check my e-mail everyday and will be on the look out to bring them to you as quickly as possible.

I hope we could inspire you, today and that you'll have an awesome weekend doing what you love most.

Happy scrapping!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

Things are heating up around here, literally.  Finally!  Spring was more like winter and then all of the sudden, BOOM!  Hit with an incredible heat where we can get to the gardening, work on that tan and strap on the sandals.  Boy, how hot it is.  Now, it's tough to keep cool.  Hehehe...Stepping out of the heat and behind the computer to try and chill.

I'm currently at our place in Germany.  Jogging the steep mountains and enjoying the gorgeous nature.  Slow internet comes with the mountains.  Hence, my time away from the computer.  Believe me, I'm working it.  My niece was married and I'm designing her album with an extensive collection that I hope you'll love.  I've also got several packs of templates on tap and we are keeping up with the challenges in the group, too.

I've got some new templates in the shop, a couple of fabulous freebies from me and other designers as well as other Digi Scrap news.

These templates will work great in your cutting machines that use a png format.  I've included the fancy "Y" in one, extra png all on one layer just in case you could use it that way as well.

I played with two of the templates and I've got a few other pages from my fabulous team.

You're getting a look at my Reason To Celebrate Collection, above.  That's my beautiful niece and her husband, recently married and the reason I designed this extensive collection.  It'll be in the shop very soon.

I used a River Rose kit, J is for Joy.  I love the color palette and my silly boy.  You can delete the shapes that might not fit on your page and copy/paste the other shapes in their place.

Here are some pages from my fabulous team.

You can totally change up the wording on this template.  Check out how I did it with the first page.  Looks like Theresa used some nifty style on her Y.

I thought I'd show off my pages from last week.  The designs from some of my favorite designers are something you might be looking for and they have coordinating freebies that might you like as well.

Do ya recognize the templates?  It's my Fur Family templates.  You will also find templates from Dagi in the collection, Meow-Ments in Gingerscraps.

Dana designed a fun, coordinating freebie to go with the collection.

Also found at GingerScraps is Aimee Harrison's newest collection, Midnight Serenade.  I played with both the light and dark side of it.

Yes!  This is an older picture of my husband.  Hehehe...So much hair, right?! Check out that glass.  Did you know that with each Belgian beer and there are well over 500 different kinds, that each one comes with it's own glass?  The glass helps enhance the flavor.  Look how unique this particular one is.  Belgium is certainly a great place to visit if you are a fan of delicious brew.

What I like about this page, besides the awesome background is the not so perfect picture.  In the beginning, I only scrapped "good" pictures.  Now, I scrap nearly all of my snaps.  I find that months or years later, I love them all the same.  JJ often has interesting expressions or perhaps, it's the lack of expression that intrigues me?

Aimee has an awesome coordinating freebie on her blog.

My hubs and I have always playfully argued over which baby was the cutest.  How can you not choose this chubby face?!  Hehehe...This is our youngest, JJ.  He was a toe sucker and that spider bite stayed on his face for a year.  I had one on the inside my thigh for a year as well.  Thank goodness we moved out of that place.  Haven't had one since.

Isn't the goodies for this page so adorable?  You know, I just love my boy themed kits and this is LouCee Creations newest, Snips & Snails.  You can also find this kit at Gingerscraps.

What an opportunity I had!  Working with Kaye's beautiful kit, At The Beach.  Totally unique items and beautiful papers.  She's also in Etsy.  Designs By Savi has such beautiful products in her shop.

Not enough free stuff for ya yet?  Needing another challenge to get your scrappy mojo going?  We've got another new, free template in the group under the June Challenge.

Here is a free cuttable file.  It's just ONE layer in png format.  To get the multiple layers, you'll have to get the templates.  You'll still be able to put a background behind the letter to give it contrast.

My gal Barb is back in business.  Check out her new kit and freebie on her blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by The Cherry.  I hope to see ya in our group.  We love to see what you're up to.

Happy scrapping!

Welcome to The Cherry on Top.

We're back with a fun, new set of templates, page inspiration, a new mini scrapbook kit perfect for the end of school season and a new free, printable card.

The templates and the freebie were both requests.  I hope they will be happy with the results and you, too.  I loved the idea of this multiple photo concept with the cool skewed angles.  Very different and there are so many ways you can use them.  Let's see!

I liked using the spaces for papers.  I scrapped up this really fun page with our Optimism collection and even added some extra spots because I just couldn't get enough of these great pictures of my boys.  They looked to be having so much fun and WITH EACH OTHER!  Hehehe...That is often a rarity due to JJ's Autism.  He's not a fan of hugs and close contact with most people.  Mom and dad are ok, though.  Thank goodness because we all know how important physical contact is.

I did the same for my next page using a bright, tropical themed kit from Kristin Cronin Barrows.  You can get it at the Sweet Shoppe.  That's some fun family of ours enjoying a lovely repressing beverage of sorts in who knows where because they go EVERYWHERE!  Hehehe...Egypt, Morocco...you name it and they will go.  sometimes with friends and sometimes with each other.  Can't even imagine!

Hilary did the same with her page.  Great to show off your pretty papers, right?!  This is a lovely collection from JoCee.

Here the photo spots are used exactly for that!

This one has a lovely mix of papers and photos using the spots.  That's Lou's newest kit, Gulls Just Wanna Have fun.  Find it at Gingerscraps.

I'm totally digging the traditional feel of Dagi's page.  Great pics and sign usage.

You know Jarmila is going to put her special touch on her page.

And Ngoc always scraps so beautifully, too.

As you can see, I left you a few layers on the camera template I bought from GS Creations so you can customize your camera if you like the suggestion.

Tammy was the lady who requested this particular style and she knocked it out of the park, right?!  Lovelies from the Sweet Shoppe.

With Dorian's request of a graduation card, I had to actually go out and buy stuff because I didn't own anything that I could share with you.  I scoured the internet for awesome graduation goodies and found next to nothing so I started a little kit just so I had something and thought I'd put it in the shop in case you needed a more mature graduation kit, too. I kept the colors so that they'd fit with anything.  In this mini you get papers, Ellies, a card and a template.  Not bad for just 2.99, right?

I was not thrilled with my shopping experience at all until I went to Etsy.  These other sites made it very confusing, having to sign up and pay monthly fees.  Whilst at Etsy, I could just pay for exactly what I wanted, got my automatic download, the end.

Here ya get a better look at everything.  Click the above image for your free card.

The papers will make a great addition to your paper stash.  With the tiny designing and basic, elegant colors you can use them a lot.  So I scrapped up my lovely nephew and got so lucky.  Look at the colors!  I had no idea what his colors were, but boy was I pleased.  Hehehe...

If you are interested, I made a video of how to make a quick page in PSE also upon request.  It's so easy and it only takes a couple of clicks.

I had a totally different kind of card on last week's blog.  If you missed, scroll back and grab it.

Thanks for stopping by The Cherry.

Happy scrapping!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I've got a few new templates in the shop this week.  They will give your pages an artistic touch with some seriously fun flair.

Keep reading to see page inspiration, check out Aimee Harrison's newest collection, To Blossom, grab the free printable and scroll through our helpful tutorial to get your printable just the way you want it.

No, you are not going crazy if you think you've seen this page and template before because if you follow us, you have.  This was offered for free in the previous Love For Layout Template train.  It's also why I'm offering a coupon for the Kreative Design Studio this week as well.  Use code: 2BFREE in the shop and you'll get a discount.  (For some reason I was not able to select which item I wanted to discount this time, so everything will get the discount.  Hint, hint...)

Let's look at some more pages from me and my awesome team.

Aimee has a new collection out that's just full of spring time magic.  I used the new templates for two pages that are so differing, you might not believe they come from the same collection.

These are my cherry trees that everyone said won't grow.  Keep that in mind when you're set on an endeavor.  I'm the stubborn type that just has to try anyway.

See what I mean about the moods of To Blossom?  The above and below pages both use it.  I went a bit with a pinky feminine side above and below I used more impact and contrast.  If this template also seems familiar, I offered a free, very similar template years ago.

Can you recognize Tammy's work or her darling photo subject?  She's a great one for the jaw dropping pages.  The goodies are so beautiful and you can find them at the Sweet Shoppe.

Hilary did a really cool, artsy page, too.  The black background is a great backdrop for her goodies from the Urban Fairy.

Kaye has also worked her magic.

Jarmila made a pretty, natural feeling page that is fresh and exciting using BooLand goodies.

Kay designed a mellowly muted masterpiece!

More bold fun from Hilary and Shabby Miss Jane.

Here is a closer look at Aimee's, To Blossom collection.  My first page matches her sassy looking previews so well. The other page shows off the more natural side.  I love collections that offer this kind of versatility.

You can do so many things with today's new freebie.  Consider making a pretty poster for your house or use it as a wall paper for your phone or computer.  You could use it on a page with the rest of Aimee's collection.  You could also use it as intended and give it to someone special.  I thought this sentiment was really lovely.

Let me show you a few ways to go hybrid with this.

You can open up a new document and size and place the card, just how you will want it to print.  Look closely at how I juxtaposition the card on my blank page.  When I print it, I'll be able to fold it in half and just cut to perfection on the right side and bottom.  I also sized it for easy sending via snail mail.

Another option is to position your card so that it open left to right rather than top to bottom.

You could simply resize the card to your desire and print on rigid paper. It doesn't have to open at all.  You could just write on the back.

Here's how to do that in PSE:

click on the image prompt as shown, click resize, choose image size

enter your desired size (consider your envelope) If you need an envelope, we've got a free template and a tutorial.

Print out on good paper.  Glossy or slightly glossy paper often gives the best results.  If you've got a template to make envelopes, you can use Aimee's coordinating papers and customize.  I LOVE that!

Aimee's collections make THE best hybrids.  I've got two other tutorials using her cluster frames packs and her borders.  I made these with a magnetic back for on my mom's fridge (coordinated to match her kitchen) since she lives an ocean away from the boys.  Find out how I did it by clicking on the image.

You can make gorgeous book marks using Aimee's border backs and they scrap up incredibly fast, too.  Find out how by clicking on this image.  These will be so fun to give out at the book club.

Thanks so much for hopping over here.  I hope we inspired you and that you'll peruse our blog further and visit our shop, Kreative Design Studio and use that coupon.

Happy scrapping!

Welcome to our second blog celebrating iNSD!

Yesterday we showed off our newest goodies as well as new goodies from other digital designers.  We also shared a lovely, free quick page for you using our newest collection, Optimism.  If you missed that, head on back there and check it out.  There are pages and pages to inspire you.

Months ago...I started a perfect page project.  Essentially, I took a digital page, ripped the page into individual pngs, put those pngs on a page(s), printed the pages and cut them out.  If I had a cutting machine, I certainly would have used it for the project.

My digital page provided the perfect example as well.

One of the most important things to remember if you are going to use this technique, is to make sure your elements or embellishments you are using on your page, will go through your cutters nicely or if you're a fussy cutter like me, use elements that will cut easier.

I had a few decisions to make at this point.  I could have easily just placed this colored drop on the black background for the black outline, but I preferred the black out line around the gems rather than the white. You could color in the white, but it might take longer than cutting!

My mother recently sent me this glue stick.  I typically use the "scrapbooking" glue pen from Elmers, but she sent me this one.  She knows I like that tiny tip.  This glue was very different.  It wasn't very forgiving. Meaning I had to be very careful to get my gems just right, but it didn't leave my paper so wet and bubbly which I thought was awesome and it did dry clear.

So I slowly started cutting out the gems and placing them on the black background.  You might want to place a few first, then glue them down.  It really was easy.  Plenty of room for mistakes.

Don't worry at all about that bit of white that shows up.  I'll show ya what to do with that.

All finished and it didn't take too, long.  When you've got all of the gems placed where ya want, grab a black marker and simply dot over the white spots and around the edge if you lost some ink by cutting, like I did.  I'd have loved if I used a more rigid paper when I printed.  Consider doing the same for yourself if you attempt a project like this, too.  That bit of unevenness in the center will be covered up with our picture, later.

We will be sure to bring you the page when it is finished.  Why not give it a try yourself?  I live in the black hole of scrapbooking that is Belgium.  Products are not at all easy to find.  I have to drive over an hour to get to a hobby store that has some scrapbooking products in it and shipping typically costs more than my products I order so I rarely ship.  Leaving digital kits, that I either create myself or print out are an only good option for me.

Here's a really fun post with a lot of links to other tutorials.  I'm showing you how to turn a digital page into a traditional one using cuttables or rather turning png images from a digital template and or kit and cutting them out and using them traditionally.

From this digital page....

To this traditional one.  Full tutorials are provided.

Here is a link to our most popular project to date, our paper dress.  It has been featured internationally in a French scrapbooking magazine.  You will also find a tutorial and link to the template.

If you are a fan of cuttables, we've got more new ones in the shop.  Add interest to your scrapbooking backgrounds with these fun frames and geometric shapes.

I've also put a huge collection of quotes in reference to Autism that might interest you.

Here's a look at one of my favorite printables kits I've got in the shop, My Muse.

Go to this blog to see how to use our or any printable kit.  Here's a tiny sample and there are several more examples if you follow the link.

If printables are your thing.  This blog has a lot of free ones.  Use the search box and see what appeals to you.  My excuses for the blogs where Blogger has deleted the photos.  I've contacted them, but they've obviously not remedied this problem.

Here's a year long project we did last year.  52 Reasons Why I Love You.  The links are STILL live so you can do the project and all of the cards are FREE!

If this is something that could be useful in your house, you can also get it free.  Click on the image to find out more.

Here are some more free ones from my gal Jodi from Throwing Some Scraps Around.

Check out how I update my cheap journal for around $2!

We'll be back with more traditional and hybrid scraps.  Keep your eyes out!  Joining our newsletter and or group will help you keep track of all our events, new items, tutorials...we only visit your inbox once a week.

Thanks so much for checking out The Cherry.  Happy scrapping!

Happy International Scrapbooking Weekend!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.  We in the scrapbooking realm feel one day is not nearly enough to celebrate the joy of scrapbooking so we extend it a few days.  There is just way too much to cover in one day and for many of us, scrapbooking is an excellent creative outlet.  Scrapbooking means a lot of different things to people.  I've got an unending sea of creativity that needs to be released. Along with others, I have also found the therapeutic need for scrapbooking as well.  Whether it be digital or traditional, this is what we need.  A super way to express our thoughts that might not come out so well verbally.  Memory keeping is often about cherishing special moments in our lives.  Even the everyday.  Especially, the everyday!  It's really, really good for us to remind ourselves of that spectacular view.  That extraordinary smile.  Those warm, tender eyes that sparkle and melt our hearts.  A loved one that is forever in our hearts, but we're no longer able to hold.

My newest part of our One Word Wonders is dedicated to scrapbookers, artists and creative beasts that are dealing with mental difficulties.  This collection totally resonates with me in many different ways.  I have two boys with Autism.  I suffer from Acute Anxiety Disorder (though not as bad as previously) and well, who doesn't deal with mental garbage on a frequent basis?!

Optimism isn't always easy to maintain.  For many people the grey, black and dark days are difficult to escape.  We might often feel like we are drowning in our blue days.  Sometimes we feel like we can't get further down.  Even rock bottom is something we can look up to.  We are by no means alone with these thoughts.  Our thoughts are tough to overcome.  It is essential that we always refer back to optimism even if it seems ridiculous.

This collection embraces those grey, dark days and or feelings that may overwhelm us, but it offers a bright side.  The optimistic side that we can never let slip away.  The collection offers a wide variety of design papers, elements, journal cards, graphics and a template that can be used in an assortment of projects on your list.  No mental issues needed.  It has a very masculine side to it so scrapping up the men in your life will be absolutely no problem.  Let's take a closer look.

I've never worked so many hours on a collection and still love it after it's completion.  Hehehe...I often can't wait NOT to look at it for a few days, but I want to still scrap with this one.  I tried all kinds of different techniques for the papers and experienced with some new skills on the elements, too.  The underlying tone is definitely on the dark side with the splash of bright to keep you feeling energized and lively.

Allow me to show off some of my own pages along with those of my incredibly talented team.

This first one is my page.  I wanted to show you how you can simply add to the template for you page.  I changed out very few elements, clipped in a few papers, did some journaling and added crazy cat eyes.  Don't they match my hair perfectly?!  Hehehe...Go crazy with either the guy or girl template.

How about the intensity of those eyes?  That's my son JJ.  His Autism is rather heavy.  He needs assistance with every aspect of life.  That puts a lot of pressure on my husband and I and we suffer physically and mentally from both of our boy's Autism and the symptoms that comes with it.  If you feel like this, know you are not alone and don't be afraid to express or vocalize those feelings.  It is a lot to deal with.

Do you recognize my gal, Tammy's page?  She also has to deal with a pile up of mental garbage and Autism plays a big part in her life as well.  Her expression says it all...beautifully.  More goodies found at The Lily Pad.

Super scrappy sister, Hilary also has a son with Autism.  We are always there for each other when help, advice you, feel free to join our group AuSumness.  We also have a blog with tips, tricks and frank commentary.

Pow Wow, right?!  Cindy is totally knocking it out of the park with her take on the template.  She used goodies from Paula Kesserling and Little Butterfly Wings.  Find them at The Lily Pad.

Another page from Hilary.

Danica's page is so awesome!  Love the glasses and vivacity of this page.  Also with goodies from The Lily Pad.

Here's a totally different take on our template.  Our gorgeous scrap subject from Tammy.

Find the collection at Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Take the time to scrap yourself.  You might be surprised how many of us want to know more about you and learn more of who you are.  You might even surprise yourself when you dig enough to find those qualities in yourself that really are special.

I had to split up the kit to get it to fit in the Etsy shop and the template is enormous.  I've given a link on a clickable page.  Contact me for any hiccups you might encounter.

Below, is the free sampler I gave to newsletter subscribers.  They get a free sample of the One Wonders, every other month.  If this sounds appealing, sign up today.  I keep them short, they only come out once a week and I spoil my subscribers with freebies and scrappy news.

I've also got some new templates in the shop.  Since our first set of planner style templates went so well, I've designed some more and trust me, they are equally if not a little more fun to use.  I've got a few comments from some scrappy sisters saying how much they love them.  "They scrap so fast and easy!"  "My page came out so great!"  "They are so unique."  Let's hear what you think!  I've got most of the shop on sale at 40% off so you can totally added them to your stash.  The sale is this Friday through Monday and there won't be another for a long time.

Take a look at the gorgeous pages from my team and myself.

Find the goodies at The Lily Pad.

Awesome scrapbooking goodies from Throwing Some Scraps Around.

Find the stash at the Sweet Shoppe from Kristin Cronin Barrows.

I told Jenni that I wanted to keep flipping through her awesome book.  Don't you?! Yip!  Find the goods at Sweet Shoppe Designs!

Goodies from Clever Monkey Graphics

Some pages just make me squeal!  EEK! Tammy's page, certainly does.  I often envision how the pages are supposed to look like and this one certainly hits the mark.  Wow, right?!

I bet you can guess where these gorgeous products come from?  SSD

Uh, huh...SSD, again!

I love Ella's traditional feel of her beautiful page.  Who wouldn't want to crap that adorable face?  This kit looks pretty amazing, too.

It looks like The Lily Pad is the place to go for artistic goodies.  Such a super page with our new Planned Again templates.

When a busy creative team member scraps more than 2 pages in a pack, you know it's a GOOD pack!  Another thing that might appeal to you with these templates is how they translate according to your style.  My page, is the next one and I gave it a more traditional appeal.  While the page above Tammy's is very artistic.  Cindy is such a super scrapper.

I love the name of LouCee's new kit, Gulls Just Wanna Have Fun and I love the gulls even more.  I had to put one on the stage.  He's adorning my planner of our trip to the south of France.  These pages might look like they took hours to design and some might have, but this style of template is certainly a huge time saver.

You mightn't guess who the designer is of this amazing collection.  It's Key Lime Digi Design.  Sandy is back with flavor and it's bacon.  Hehehe...At first glance of the preview, I was frankly shocked.  I didn't know where to look first because it all looked so fascinating and then I started scrapping and scrapping and scrapping and before I knew it, I was looking at my most favorite page to date.

It took me awhile to find the perfect pics that would go with, When Pigs Fly.  I found these exceptional pictures of my youngest wearing... a ... hat!  He never wears them.  In fact, we are also not allowed to wear them. Not only that, he sat for a tiny photo shoot!  I ran to the window after my time was up, but I did not see any winged swine.  Hehehe...The possibilities with this kit will have you loving KLDD.

Take a look at all you get for an unbelievable price!

If you are not a member of our group, then you haven't seen the new
collections and collaborations from Made By Keuntje.  Here is April Fresh and some recent pics I took of the spring flowers growing in our lawn.  I don't wanna mow and I hardly need an excuse.

Dana paired up with Jana from Two Worlds to design a collaboration that's a lot like our very own, Optimism, but with their own special flair.  I used my Jovial templates which are on sale right now, too!  If you are one of the many with a cart/wishlist full of goodies from our shop, Kreative Design Studio, now is the time to make your purchase.  The shop won't be on sale again for months and mama needs a new pair of specs!

My adorable doggie and his excess of hair also done with a twist.

Here is a look at everything we are doing this weekend. I'd so love for you to join us!

The flash freebies will come available when YOU and our other fans in the Facebook Group answer questions and work together to unlock the freebies.  Trust me!  They will be worth it. I asked what you wanted as flash freebies and I chose three of YOUR choices.  Come on over Saturday and help us!

Sunday's Recipe Challenge will start after I've had my coffee Sunday morning.  Hehehe...Will go live, in the group, as an event and when you do the challenge, with any kit you like and post your page in the group and or album dedicated to the event, I'll send you a link to a fabulous, free template!

Grab the goods while they are on sale at 40% off!!!

Now, ya know I have to offer my loyal blog readers a lovey freebie in celebration of iNSD.  I've designed what I think is our fan's second best freebie choice and that is a quick page.  Pop in your pic or pics and you've scrapped!  Isn't that just the bee's knees?!

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.

I'm presently at our home in Germany.  I often call it vacation, but it really isn't much different than my regular place in Belgium.  Still have laundry, cooking, cleaning, yard work...we do go out to dinner a bit more because it is a lot cheaper here and very delicious.  Our views of the mountains and the river are also very relaxing.  We're tucked away in the middle of nature which is very refreshing from our urban setting in Belgium.

My computer is presently in the shop and I cannot connect to my server so it's been a bit nutty here with little design and scrap time though I have come up with some seriously cool design ideas that you'll be seeing in the future.

I'm keeping it short and sweet this week and I'm sure you're going to love the new templates and get inspired.

Since my computer is in the shop, I had to use some older kits from my old computer for my page.  I often forget how beautiful some older ones are like this one from Aimee Harrison.

Tammy knocked me out with her page!  Just look at these fabulous goodies!

More Sweet Shoppe goodies and a lovely page from Ngoc.

Cassie is definitely a star scrapper and she's also used more Sweet Shoppe Designs.

Hilary did a smashing job with these layers and Clever Monkey Graphics.

Carol even used our PuurFect kit for her page.

BooLand is Jarmila's go to designer for her pages.  You can see why.

I recently made some new cuttables for in our shop, Kreative Design Studio.  I've got some free printables that might interest you if you also dread going out into public with your Autistic children like we used to.  We've got a blog dedicated to Autism if you didn't know.

This is the first part of a huge bundle dedicated to mental issues.  Pop over to the shop and see what all ya get.

I hop you grabbed our newest free template last week?

Here is is a page I scrapped up with Sweet Shoppe goodies and Dana's free template.

Jodi from Throwing Some Scraps Around also has new templates out.  I chose an outline to add to give my page more pop.

My niece is getting married soon.  So get ready for some serious wedding pages.  Hehehe...  I used Aimee Harrison's new collection, Cherish.  To make sure my page will match my own wedding collection, I kept it nearlly all white with a touch of colours that will also be in my collection.  I used my Strip Tease templates, again.

I gave my doggie a trim and posted this funny pic.  It was quite popular and I thought my creative peeps might get a giggle out of it, too.

The cat version.  Both of our pets are pure white so these really made the kids LOL.

Thanks so much for stopping by The Cherry.  I've got so much on tap.  When I return from my "vacation", I'll share it with you.  New traditional projects, new templates, new free stuff...See ya next week and as always, happy scrapping.
