The 3rd generation Nest Learning Thermostat is thinner and sleeker. It has a bigger, sharper display. With Farsight, it can now show you the time or the temperature you’ve set from across the room. The Nest also saves energy, and can be controlled by Amazon Alexa or Google Home. Nest Thermostats have saved over 4 billion kilowatt hours of energy* so far in millions of homes around the world. Lutron

Lutron Radio RA 2 is a great way to add Elegant Lighting Controls to any Project
Link Your House is one of the first companies to control whole house which has LED Lighting throughout with the Radio RA 2 Dimmers.

Elegant Lighting Controls
Lutron Radio RA II Lighting Control Solutions

RadioRA 2 is a wireless total home control system. This energy-saving system
gives you the ability to adjust the amount of daylight and electric light (using
light controls and automated shades) as well as temperature in a single room or
throughout your whole home. The system also turns off standby power to small
appliances when they’re not in use.

Another great option for Lighting is the Legrand RF Solution

Legrand RF Lighting Controls (RFLC) make perfect lighting so intuitive that it seems to read your mind. At the touch of a button, or a tap to your smartphone, you can command any lighting design – whether it’s for an intimate group of lights, multiple lights in a larger area, or a diverse array of lights throughout your home. Thanks to RFLC, setting the perfect lighting scene in a room, a group of rooms, or an entire house has never been this easy and convenient. The advantage of controls that remember your favorite scenes.

RF Lighting Controls use two-way radio-frequency (RF) transmission to communicate with one another. With simple, effective electronic intelligence built into every device, there’s no need for a costly central control system. And because the controls don’t need to be connected with wiring, installation is just like that of traditional switches and dimmers: quick and economical. This approach makes RF Lighting Controls extremely versatile and easily configurable to match your needs and preferences. An RFLC control can be as simple as dimming a dining room chandelier from two or three locations, or as sophisticated as operating many lights throughout your home from your bedside table. And that’s just the beginning of what RFLC can do!

Make it look like you’re home – even when you’re not.

UPB Lighting Control Solutions-New Construction and Retrofit

With this type of lighting controller, there is no need for an extra wire for control or having a proprietary keypad. Since these switches communicate over the high-voltage, a certified electrician can install them in a new construction job abd have them work right away. These switches look like standard decora switches and come in six colors: white, almond, ivory, brown, black and grey to match practically any décor. Extra locations can be provided in new construction jobs to allow for scene controllers to control multiple lights and/or rooms from one location.

With the addition of other conrtol options, outside lighting, waterfalls, fountains, and almost anything that runs with standard power can be controlled from any location in the house. In addition, with a home automation system, we can have other things such as music and other forms of entertainment can be triggered from a single switch. By adding a security system, such as an HAI unit, we can have lights turn on when you disarm the security system. On the same note, when you arm the system we can turn off all interiors lights and, depending on the time of day, we can turn on the exterior lights when you leave and turn them off at a certain time.

With this technology, you can also have a centralized lighting system that will allow you to have multiple switches located in one location out of the way and only have one switch or scene controller in each room of the house. With this lighting option, as with any controlled lighting, we can control them in areas like a media room or home theater so that the light would be controlled as a part of you turning on the TV or starting a movie.

For those who have vacation homes, you can replace every switch in your home with this controlled lighting option and be able to make sure all the lights and other equipment are off to make sure that your energy consumption is minimal when you are away. Link Your House has had much success with these switches and have had little to no problems with the local control of lighting, so you will have the reliability of standard lighting with the peace of mind that you are saving money.

Dimmable lighting is really popular with green living communities because you can reduce your carbon footprint just by dimming the lights and using less energy, as well as being able to control and make sure lights are off when you are away. When we program the lighting in any house, we set the maximum to 90% of the power consumption which means that you are saving 10% of your energy which can add up quickly in large homes.

Link Your House’s Security Consultants are able to listen to your needs and concerns, and make recommendations based on them. Someone who has received extensive training on different products and their capabilities can give you valuable assistance. Properly trained Security Consultants will walk through your home or business with you, discuss your individual needs and concerns, and help plan the best system for you. CCTV may best serve your business, or Card Access, while your home may be best served by less perimeter protection, but more interior protection. You may have a need for remote panic devices. Be honest about your needs and work with your Consultant to design the right system from the start.

Designing a Surveillance System using CCTV for your home or office

There are 4 primary reasons to own video surveillance: 1. To help IDENTIFY possible intruders, unauthorized people, or delivery persons.
2. To help PREVENT accidents or criminal acts.
3. To help PROTECT people and property.
4. To help OBSERVE day-to-day events.

When deciding on what type of CCTV system one must consider the following: Is the surveillance indoor, outdoors, or both? Is it a hallway or parking lot? Are you protecting something of value, the perimeter or entry/exit of a building? Count the number of camera locations and always make note of the distance from the subject area to the camera lens. Make special note to determine light levels in best and worst case scenarios. This is important information to know before making an investment in a CCTV system. One must consider a viewing device such as Black & White or Color Monitor, a Television, Laptop or PC. This is often dependant on the common area where the homeowner or business owner would primarily be viewing the CCTV System. Images can be captured using a professional DVR (Digital Video Recorder) type system that is stand-alone and can be accessed both locally and remotely via the local network or internet. Many DVR systems will support as few as 4 cameras and as many as 16. Most DVR systems will record a minimum of 24 hours of 60 IPS (Images Per Second) on a 160GB Hard Drive. There are options for up to 500GB drives that will give you a total of 85 hours at 60 IPS. Another option is a fully digital system with network cameras and a PC that will record all video at set intervals or when motion is detected. This way is the best for ease of mind and the convenience to view your cameras on any TV in the house (with optional adapter) and record to one location. You also will have the ability to pan, tilt and in some cases zoom in on an area that needs to be closely watched. With the network cameras, you also have the option for preset positions to allow you to move your cameras from one active area to another with the press of one button. You can also access all of your cameras remotely from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection. Link Your House focuses on providing end-to-end solutions to our customers.

Log Home in the Middle of the Forest During Heavy Night Time Lightning Storm. 3D Render Illustration.

Surges can happen at any time, and with valuable electronics in your home its important to have surge protection. Installing the TPS Split Phase Surge Suppressor filtering on upstream breaker panels will dramatically reduce the likelihood of damage occurring.  It is critical to protect any communication wire with long runs or wire that travels between buildings.  Damage may occur because the ground reference between buildings can become separated during a lightning strike. This will produce damaging transients and is the most common type of port failure. Link Your House has had many successful installs with testimonials from customers who experienced lightning strikes and saw no lost to any major electronics. We recommend surge filters on all incoming copper to the home, whether its a Phone line, Cable/DSS, Audio (Rock Speakers), Camera, or Gate control. Don’t wait until the peak of the storm season hits (March-September) to make the decision. Call us today 770-209-0086 for a FREE in home consultation. If you decide Whole House Surge is right for you, we will offer you a discounted installation quote, just reference this page!
