The sale opens to the general public on Friday, July 19th and prices go back up on August 5th. This is Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year featuring fall styles, shoes, and accessories. My love for a good basic and Amazon runs deep. For that reason, Amazon’s clothing brand Daily Ritual has been a favorite of mine since discovering the perfect tunic in 2018. Think simple and relaxed without running around town in leggings and an athletic tank (my personal uniform 5/7 times a week). This is the t-shirt you reach for to wear by itself, under sweaters, running errands, or to work and the dress that gets you through a southern summer. Today on Lifestyle Cassie I wanted to share a few of my frequently purchased Daily Ritual items from Amazon. Most items are made from a jersey material and don’t cost more than $30 including the dress I styled in this post.

I live for a good stripe or polka dot hence when I saw this dress, I knew I had to add it to my closet. The material is thick enough to not be see through and it fits true to size. I styled it with this Arizona anorak from JC Penney (Linked similar) and brown sandals. One of my favorite things about this brand is the quality and amount of wear I am able to get out of the pieces. I am able to transition from season to season by layering and adding the right accessories.

I am 24 hours away from heading to Dallas for a girl’s weekend and I will be packing this tank for my trip! The next few days will be filled with a cidercade, luau, and most importantly, brunch. In the coming weeks, I will be sharing my Nordstrom anniversary sale picks, game-day looks, and how wedding planning is going currently. PS- I am counting down to be able to share all things bridesmaids gifts!

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

XO,

Cassie

Happy Friday! If you follow along on Instagram, you know that I recently got engaged to my best friend which means the last few weeks have been filled with venue tours, date conversations, and taking in every moment with my (now) fiancé. In honor of all things wedding that will be coming to the blog soon, I wanted to start off with a post around dress options for the wedding guest including those that I have purchased so far for this year’s summer weddings.

We have RSVP’d, bought the gifts from each registry, and started shopping for dresses; it is officially wedding season. I picked each of these items out based on my ability to wear them again. If you are anything like me, you have a hard time spending money on something you will only wear once. For that reason, I try to purchase a wedding guest dress that I could wear later to a graduation, shower, anniversary, or even date night. Ever since the ‘midi’ dress and jumpsuit became a trend, I am full time on board and I think these styles make for the perfect wedding guess outfit. I go back and forth between wanting the bold pop of color, neutral, or pattern each time I am dress shopping.

I picked up this olive green jumpsuit a while back for a trip to Las Vegas but knew I would get use out of it again for a wedding. The color is beautiful in person and I love the trim details on the top adding femininity. My exact jumpsuit is sold out but you can shop the dress version here. I also wore the yellow lace midi below to a recent wedding and will probably purchase again in multiple colors. You can see in IRL picture of that look here.

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

XO,

Cassie

Happy Monday! For as much as I jump up and down at the chance to get dressed up for a wedding or concert, I live a good portion of my day to day life in basics. Today on the blog I wanted to share some of my favorite ‘basic’ pieces you need as well as some of my favorite places to get them. This jeans, tee, and sweater look is my go-to for work or running errands. Let’s start with this peplum tee; I am not being dramatic when I say I own this style shirt in seven colors. I purchased this one from Ruthie Grace Boutique which is currently sold out but I shared a couple of dupes below. Does anyone remember when Piko tops were a trend? This short sleeve peplum feels like it is made from that same ultra-soft material.

Next, this duster is from Loft and I have worn it on repeat to work over blouses, t-shirts, and tanks. It is lightweight so I can keep it in my purse depending on the temperature. There is a 9/10 chance that if you ask me where I bought a sweater, it is from Loft. Loft has and will continue to be my top choice for variety, quality, and great price points in basic pieces to add to my closet. Lastly, these Articles of Society jeans are one of my favorite pairs of jeans I own. I bought them in dark denim, white, and black. Articles of Society offers a wide array of styles in the $30-$70 price range depending where you shop them.

It is hard to believe that today is May 6th and Mother’s Day is this upcoming weekend. Does anyone have any weekend/ Mother’s Day plans? I am starting to look at our summer concert line-up and trips to the lake. This is the first time in 2019 where we do not have 7 trips upcoming and it has me thinking about where we should take our next vacation.

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

Cassie

One of my favorite things about living in Northwest Arkansas is being able to drive five hours in any direction and end of up in a ‘big’ city. We are a weekend trip away from St. Louis, Kansas City, Memphis, and Dallas and as an adult in the working world, three day weekends have become the best kind of getaways from a week full of projects and meetings. I have always been that person who puts a lot of research in to where I want to eat, stay, and play when I travel. I went to Dallas last weekend for a girl’s weekend/ Eric Church concert but will be headed back today for a few days full of volleyball with family so it only seemed appropriate to share some of my Dallas favorites on Lifestyle Cassie.

Eat:

Mi Cocina: Where you drink a Mambo Taxi and the chips never stop getting refilled. This is the date night or bestie dinner you need right now and what kind of Texas born and raised girl would I be if I didn’t recommend Tex-Mex right out the gate.

Bread Winners: I could probably write an entire blog post on brunch in Dallas but I will leave you with a mimosa, scramble, and cinnamon roll.

Flower Child: This is my favorite healthy lunch spot with an Insta-worthy atmosphere and the best lemonade.

Play:

Truck Yard: Time spent at the Truck Yard is time spent eating from food trucks, listening to live music, and day drinking. Also highly recommend The Rustic!

Shopping: If you are looking for a day full of shopping and easy eats, I suggest Uptown Dallas, Highland Park, or NorthPark Center.

Other Recs: Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, Perot Museum of Nature & Science, Katy Trail, or the Dallas World Aquarium

Now on to the outfit details; this was one of my favorite looks Shelby and I shot a few weeks ago for the blog. I had been on the search for high waisted flare crops for a while and when I found these, I went back and ordered them online in black and denim from Gap. You can also get these pants in Khaki, Mint Green, and Light Pink right now for 40% with code SPRING (Run, don’t walk). I styled these pants with this Jack by BB Dakota floral blouse and basic brown sandals. I can already picture throwing on a sweater and booties with these for a cold tailgate next football season. This blouse is lightweight and the little floral details are beautiful for transitioning into spring. You can wear this with high waisted dark denim or slacks for all of the business girl bosses out there.

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

Cassie

Hi, my name is Cassie and I am an outfit repeater. This jumpsuit has traveled to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Indianapolis. If you have been around LC since it started in 2016, you know one of my favorite brands is Show Me Your Mumu and one of my favorite pieces of clothing is a jumpsuit. I budget and save for each piece I get to add to my closet and they always end up being the pieces I reach for time and time again. This jumpsuit is the best combination of comfort and style with adjustable straps and an oversized fit. I styled it here with a basic white tee underneath and sneakers but cannot wait to throw sandals and a denim jacket on when we hit patio weather in Arkansas. You can shop this look below!

Today I wanted to share a recap from our spring break trip to LA. We spent five days in perfect weather crossing off a bucket list of attractions. You can click any of the links below for more information on them!

Day 1: Hollywood Boulevard (Walk of Fame, Hollywood Museum, TCL Chinese Theatre, Randy’s Donuts), Griffith Observatory/ Hollywood Sign

Day 2: Santa Monica Pier, Malibu Celebrity Home Tours, Malibu Pier, and Venice Beach/ Bike Rental

Day 3: Universal Studios/ Studio Tour, CityWalk, Pressed Juicery

Day 4: Aquarium of the Pacific, OUE Skyspace, Grand Central Market

Day 5: Warner Brothers Studio Tour, Sony Pictures Studio Tour, “Urban Light” Public Art Display

The biggest highlight of our LA trip was getting to stand in the gazebo from Gilmore Girls and sitting on the Friends couch at Central Perk. I live for binge watching 1990/2000’s television shows on Netflix. What are some of your favorites?

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

Happy Tuesday! I packed this outfit with me on our recent trip to Las Vegas to celebrate a couple of friend’s birthdays. We spent most of our time walking from resort to resort and eating of course. I suggest the District in the Cosmopolitan for a breakfast on the go of iced coffee and homemade biscuit sandwiches and Momofuku for late night. A must on my list for our next trip to Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. After this week we are headed to LA and Indianapolis for Spring Break. My type a personality has already made a list of work projects to finish as well as an outfit by day list of things I need to pack or purchase. Does anybody else over-plan vacations or is that just me?

This sweater will be on repeat in my wardrobe while Arkansas transitions to spring. It is extremely lightweight and can dress up a basic white tank perfectly. As I have mentioned before, I am a neutrals girl who looks for pops of color in pieces I can wear time and time again and this sweater is just that. I paired it with destroyed boyfriend jeans and white sneakers. You can shop my entire look by clicking the images below.

Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

Happy Monday and happy relaunch day for Lifestyle Cassie! If you know me in real life, you know that a lot has happened since my last blog post including finishing school and changing companies but the one thing that has not changed is my passion for all things clothes, traveling, and checking off accomplished goals. I am beyond grateful for the people around me that have made this blog become a reality again and cannot wait to share what’s next for LC with you all.

Life lately has been filled with volleyball tournaments and weekend getaways which are my jam. I still have a few fun trips planned in the coming weeks including Vegas, Dallas, and Knoxville to see my family! You can expect plenty of vacation guides in the next few posts with anything from casual to dressy to what I wear 90% of the time- athleisure.

Now on to the outfit details- I bought this dress in paisley last year because of how easy it was to dress up with statement earrings and mules or dress down with a denim jacket and sandals. When I found it in black, my neutral loving brain knew I had to have it. I styled it here with these black sandals and my go-to jewelry pieces including this necklace that I wear nearly every day. I have been eyeing this one by the same company. I am excited to pair this dress with a pop of color next. The actual name of this dress says it is a convertible skirt/ dress but I am 5’9 for reference and it hits pretty long as a dress. The three tiers are light weight and will be perfect for a date night in Arkansas during the summer. Thank you for stopping by Lifestyle Cassie today, I truly appreciate it.

XO,

Cassie
