Happy Friday Corazones, Nothing like finding a great piece of luxury and not paying full price for it. Not sure if you guys have heard of ‘What goes around comes around’ an online luxury vintage shop that sells you the perfect handbag or piece of luxury clothing for a great price. You can find anything from Chanel to Louis Vuitton – they have it all. I personally have never been at their physical store in NYC but I’m dying to visit. A few months ago I was searching for a vintage belt and found the perfect one on their site. This belt is from YSL, it was in perfect condition, and it only cost me $125.00..for a win! I’m never this lucky but I was this time. I styled this look with spring in mind. We are only 5 days away from Spring and I can’t wait. My ‘shoot rack’ is mostly colorful, few shorts and fun looks that are not appropriate for this bipolar weather lol. Details of my look: the mini skirt is from Artizia, the top is Vicidolls and the handbag was gifted to me by Charles and Keith. My booties might be familiar to you guys, […]
Hello Lovers! Looking for that quick look that’s chic and comfy? There’s nothing like a cool graphic tee! It’s an easy and fun look that works for me all the time. I love to pair them with jeans or a fun skirt as shown in the picture. I opted to wear this look for one of my shoots in Brooklyn. We had amazing weather that day and let me tell you, Brooklyn was perfect. They have so many chill spots to eat or just hang. One of my favorite places was, Devocion, which had me feeling like I was in L.A. Talking about L.A for the past 4 years I’ve been going there every March. Unfortunately, this year is very bittersweet due to my chemo schedule I wasn’t able to plan a trip. Anything that reminds me of California brings a big smile to my heart! I feel this look is boho inspired and something I would totally wear while in the west coast. The skirt is from NAKD and the denim jacket I purchased it at Aritzia a few years back. I will make sure to share some links of a few of my favorites. Graphic Tee is from […]
Happy Friday with a hint of sequins! I think it’s safe to say that one of the key pieces one must have in her closet is anything with sequins. I love to add a sequin piece to my looks. Not sure if you guys remember this little number from Revolve I wore on New Year’s Eve. I refuse not to wear again so I took advantage of the weather and styled it with my golden goose sneakers and a white denim jacket from Liverpool Jeans. The second look is a white sequin top that I got in a medium from Zara’s so I can wear it as a dress as well. I decided to styled it with a denim skirt also from Zara’s. These fabulous Tony Bianco shoes were perfect for this look. There is always that taboo that sequins can only be worn at night but let’s break that. Sequins adds such a cool texture to any pieces you wear. The look can be styled with sneakers as shown on the picture or with heels. I will be sharing some of my favorite sequin items for you guys to shop! Hope you enjoy both looks! Say yes to sequin […]
Hey there ! Happy International Women Day I’ve been wanting to come on here and play catch up with you guys for a few weeks now. Not going to lie, I’ve had the idea of quitting ponder through my mind. Yes quitting. The girl who is finally living her dream and now it seems all is slipping away in a matter of seconds. I am so thankful that on my good days I can still work. I’m thankful I can still work part time on my store and blog but believe me I miss investing all my time on them. Last night was one of those nights were I felt completely defeated. My friend Joanna came by and she always has a way of cheering me up and making me laugh. I couldn’t be more lucky to have a friend like her. She told me to make a list of the things I want to do and she said she’ll do them with me. The hardest thing I’ve been dealing with are the things I was able to do before. For example, going to the gym, shooting more frequently, and just simply being active. It seems like now I’m more […]
On today’s blog we are talking all about beauty! When I was growing up I would watch my grandmother get ready and do her make up. She always told me to never leave the house without moisturizer and mascara. (I listened, hehe) At the age of 13 I would wear my moms mascara and moisturizer since I was too young to own my own. As you guys know, I’m a big fan of taking care of my skin. It is so important to me to make it a fundamental part of my everyday routine. We spend tons and tons of money on makeup and we neglect the importance of a good exfoliator and eye cream. As time has transitioned, I have been giving my skin the extra care it needs. From doing my masks to washing my makeup off before bed, I give my face all the good loving it needs. Now let’s talk about my obsession with OLAY, where do I start? Before bed I love using their Olay Daily Facials. Can I just say it’s so gentle on your skin, and it leaves your face and neck feeling like a million bucks. I look forward to washing […]
HI Darlings, Hope everyone is having a perfect start to their weekend. I wanted to link up with you guys to address a small issue that happened last January. As many of you might have seen my live and a few other posts from a couple of weeks ago, some of my fellow bloggers and I felt the need to express ourselves about the lack of diversity going on with Revolve and other companies amongst them. If you are not sure what or who Revolve is, they are huge and well known e-commerce company that sells fashionable goods from amazing high end brands. I myself have been a loyal customer of Revolve and was my go to place whenever I needed to go shopping… which was like every week. Back in January when a photo of the revolve trip in Thailand made headlines, things got messy. Why? There was one little problem with the photo. It had no WOC, no curvy girls, no hispanic chicas other than the ones who looked like they weren’t. This really bothered me so much and to top it off, Aimee from Song of style made an inappropriate comment stating that maybe there was not […]
Happy Sunday lovers .. I’d like to take this time today to go down memory lane to when I started blogging full time in 2016. I love thinking back to when I started because it truly reminds me of the struggles and blessings I’ve had encountered to get where I am. It’s not easy to want something so bad and never truly knowing how hard it can actually be. I share this with you all to encourage you that everything is possible when you believe in your purpose and more so in yourself. So let’s go back for a second, in 2016 an opportunity came to me for Instagram post. At the moment any money was good money. I had just quit my job and I needed every little single penny that came my way. I shared with the brand my fee, which was reasonable but they came back saying they only could pay me $85 dollars. For me it definitely did not work because $50 alone was for the photo shoot so in total I would make $15 dollars. However, I said yes. I received the product and scheduled a shoot. I remember around that time I was going […]
Hi guys, LIFE UPDATE: Please accept my apologies for the lack of posts last week. I was really busy with a lot of doctors appt. and getting second opinions. The result of it all is that surgery is too Risky at the moment. What does this mean for me? This means that I’m not giving up just because I won’t be able to get the surgery. I am meeting with more doctors to get answers on alternative treatments that can work just as well. I must say last week was challenging, I’m not going to lie. I was down, truly down with no desire to do anything. It’s hard when you still need to make a living and you have to keep going, but that’s business, and bills don’t wait for anyone. It’s not like I have a 9-5pm and I can requested time off to get better. This is the real deal, no days off no paid sick days. Trying to balance my business and my illness is by far my biggest test in life, but I was taught to never quit. I think the biggest struggle of this all is never knowing which day of the week will […]
Hi lovers, Hope everyone had a great weekend! My weekend was pretty chill for the most part. I try to rest as much as I could after a few days in the city which can be so draining even when you are having fun. I was so fortunate to be able to attend some events but of course, I did miss most of the shows. It was due to timing and to be honest I did plan from the beginning to only attend the first two days. I know for sure September will be so much better for me. With chemo and all coming up it’s hard to predict how I’m going to be feeling. I’m still super grateful I was able to stay in the city a few days and do what I love most. I took advantage of my staycation during fashion week with Geraldine (my photographer) and created some pretty awesome content for some campaigns coming up and lots of street style looks! Since I’m having surgery in March, I am trying to make the most of my time. Creating as much content is my goal for the next two weeks!! For my look I’m wearing […]
