UK based Alexis Kings impresses with their latest alternative rock track Addict. Check out the video here. The band tells Kings, “Addict is our way of expressing the sound of addiction, a groove that makes you move that ends in Chaos.” The indie rock 4 piece has generated over a million Spotify plays, and has garnered praise from BBC Introducing. Their previous single reached #7 on the spotify viral charts. The latest track was produced by Ian Dowling who has worked with Adele and Bombay Bicycle Club. Give it stream.
Salvation is really good track as well as the video from The Strumbellas. The new single which comes off their forthcoming album is sitting at #12 on the Alt Rock chart in Canada. The album was produced Tim Pagnotta (Elle King, Walk the Moon) and co-produced by Brian Phillips. You might like Texting You by Petrie. With a bedroom raw production, the track grows on you with each listen. The London duo reveals how the track came about, “well it was a beat poem, then a jazz ballad, then a sorta fruity bop and then eventually we decided to fuse the styles of Dolly Parton and Not3s and write a torch song for the risky text with more than a sprinkling of neuroticism. The latest track comes off their forthcoming debut album Superstore. Give it a stream.
Yacht Punk, a 4 piece alternative rock act releases the uptempo New Wave Denier. Think The Strokes meets Arctic Monkeys. The band worked with producer Matt Wignall’s (Cold War Kids) and Will Brierre (The Killers). The band’s previous single “Need a Reason” was featured on Spotify’s New Noise and Fresh Finds playlists. When asked in a recent interview, “Why should people listen to Yacht Punk?” – the lead singer notes, “If said people are loving popular music right now, they probably shouldn’t.” Give it a listen.
I really like the video for End of the Night by pop singer-songwriter Taylor Noelle. With influences ranging from from Fleetwood Mac & HAIM to Daniel Caesar & SZA, Noelle blends pop and R&B. She was born and raised in LA, and is the daughter of the well-known Charles Esten. She’ll embark on a college tour that will run through the South East. Check it out.
In a recent interview, Justin Bieber claims he became “very arrogant and cocky”.
The Canadian singer who has been under the guidance of manager Scooter Braun admits he started out as a real artist but later became manufactured.
“I was real at first and then I was manufactured as, slowly, they just took more and more control,” Bieber said, adding: “I started really feeling myself too much: “people love me, I’m the shit” – that’s honestly what I thought. I got very arrogant and cocky. I was wearing sunglasses inside.”
Bieber who has been on hiatus since 2015 say, “Just thinking about music stresses me out.”
He also notes, “I’ve been successful since I was 13, so I didn’t really have a chance to find who I was apart from what I did. I just needed some time to evaluate myself: who I am, what I want out of my life, my relationships, who I want to be – stuff that when you’re so immersed in the music business you kind of lose sight of.”
Kings favorite Leandro releases Hey Now which is probably my favorite. This is also marks his third self directed video. Leandro tells Kings, “Hey Now represents for a story about silver linings and persistence. I believe if there’s one thing people should fight for, it’s love.” The South African indie pop artist will roll out more singles in the coming months. Give it a listen. email@example.com
Electro pop act Recess kicks off 2019 with a new track ‘When The Sky Comes Falling Down‘. The Ohio 4 piece cleverly blends indie rock, synth pop, and EDM. Anthony Fondale tells Kings, “When The Sky Comes is an awesome track to us because it shows our fans how versatile we really are. We love switching it up and this song is the perfect record to prove that we can really do this and do it well.” The band just wrapped up a show at The Viper Room in Hollywood. Additionally, they recently shot a video with director Brad Golowin (The Revilalists) in Ohio with a 10 piece orchestra for the track Leaving Home. firstname.lastname@example.org
