Katrina Currie by Katrina Currie - 4M ago

Every morning, I try my best not to awaken my husband and children by turning on the lights and making noises that will startle them out their slumber. I am pretty good with seeing glimpses from the limited lighting available.

It especially helps if I prepare for the next day. It is a greater triumph if I can prepare for

all the days of the week. I pretty much know what matches what because I have already hung the matching pieces together.
One morning it was significantly harder than ever. I was up in plenty of enough time.
I began to see the time slipping away from me. I tried to redeem the time.
Frustrated, I finally turned on more lighting than I usually allow myself to get dressed.

Similarly, I went into our living area and as I was reading some things yet I could not see very well. These eyes are not as young as they use to be, even with glasses.

My husband and I refused to use the new light bulbs that would be replacements for the two light bulbs that had gone out. Both of us kept forgetting to purchase the bulbs that matched the other two light bulbs. Again, frustrated, I climbed on the step stool and added the two replacement lights that were not aesthetically what I’d like yet served as meaningful light.

Then God flooded my spirit with this. Do you see how much time you wasted not tapping into your light source?
Sometimes we waste time, beg for God to show up, and go in circles – all because we won’t tap into the light source.

Sometimes we are trying to make other people comfortable in spaces when God is saying walk in me – the source and let me expand your territory
Sometimes because it does not aesthetically look and feel how we perceive things to be, we miss out on his provision – even if that provision is temporary.

Those light bulbs that did not match the other bulbs illuminated the room with more than enough light I needed to get to moving.

God had already given me the resource whereas I could replace those bulbs with the ones that match.

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

My husband and I have been through everything from illnesses, abandonment, betrayal, financial crisis, to heart-ache, deception. We have seen God’s hand raise us, his love to shine on us that our countenance has changed, and he has energized us with His empowering presence. We have become radiant and expressive of his love through him.

Declare A Thing! A Radical Love Affair
28 Day Prayer Devotional
Our Ebook on Amazon Kindle
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L9CL418

This is a 28-day prayer journey to partake in daily scripture and prayer as couples will experience their own experiences, revelations, and God-experiences.

Declare a Thing! is the personal covenant journey to get in the face of God, hear from God, and experience God in new ways.

Declare a Thing! isn’t a prayer devotional that will overly interject the authors’ revelations or personal experiences. At the heart of this prayer devotional is that Declare a Thing! strengthens couples. The authors desire for couples to have the leading of God through this journey, have listening ears, pliable hearts, and teachable spirits, for the blossoming and maturation of each union. We (Katrina and Malcolm) have been earnestly worked to complete our first co-authored project. Together we have created a piece for the marriages of today. It is our hope that once our intended audiences have completed this journey through Declare A Thing! they would have found new ways to solidify their love foundation, through God’s Word.

This is the Word of the Lord that has been impressed on my heart to share.

Be careful in this season
God is speaking things that may seem so unbelievable to the circumstances. Sarah laughed because she thought she was too old to birth the promise – nations. Moses was bewildered because he didn’t consider himself the best orator. Gideon was perplexed because he didn’t consider himself a warrior. It may seem you are unqualified, the unintended, the least likely considered yet there is greatness in you- each of you. One thing that it is evident. It is Clear He is doing a work for his glory in and through YOU!

Written by Hal Todd – Guest Blogger

I have to be obedient and share what the LORD GOD through the Holy Spirit commanded me to share with His People.

People like to say “GOD won’t put more on you than you can handle” – the Spirit of the LORD says this is incorrect – GOD will absolutely put more on you than you can handle – what the Spirit says is that “The LORD GOD will not put more on you than His Son Jesus Christ can handle.”

Since Jesus can handle It All – it’s no telling what will be put on us!

GOD remembered me of my weightlifting days. I truly did not grow unless I was lifting weights that I could not handle. When I was lifting weights I could handle – it was easy!

What was the difference between weights I could not handle and weights I could – the “Spotter”!!

The “Spotter” would stand over me so when the weights got too much, and my arms began to shake, and I was worried about the weights coming crashing down on me – the “Spotter” would say – “I got you!” The “Spotter” would reach down with His Hands and easy the burden of weights just enough for me to finish lifting it – why do all this – GROWTH!

Growth does not happen when we are doing something easy, or when we “can handle it.” It happens after the workout with the “Spotter” and you wake up the next morning sore, feeling like you just got out of a fight! But within a few days, you can tell you are stronger – more powerful – more confident!

GOD won’t put more on us than we can handle? It’s really not about us. It’s about Jesus – and how no matter what is put on us – He is capable and willing to handle It All!

GOD asks – “Will we let His Son Jesus be our “Spotter” day and for evermore!”

Praise GOD for His WORD, Bless His Spirit for the Anointing and Love our Savior Jesus Christ for always bringing us through!

I tagged as many people as Facebook would allow – Please share in the Name of Jesus!
