More and more people are realizing the importance of a meditation practice as a part of getting fit and being healthy.

These days sports teams have meditation coaches and job sites are creating meditation rooms.  I have been teaching meditation for 15 years and this is the first time it seems like there is a general consensus that meditating can be a very helpful for people trying to get their bodies to perform at a higher levels.

As someone who meditates a lot, my journey has been a bit the opposite, in the last few years I have been learning how to incorporate more exercise into my life to improve my meditation practice, and making sure I am fit enough to meditate some more!

So it was very exciting and fun when I was invited by my friend Chris Jakubiak owner of Hustle Fitness Gym at 2625 N Halsted St, (where I recently joined),  to talk about InVision and the meditation style we teach.

Chris Jakubiak owner of Hustle Fitness

I lead a meditation to their staff and clients as part of a Rejuvenation and Recovery Seminar. The main question was how to recover from a strenuous workout? And my response is that after a good workout is the perfect time to use meditation to center and focus your attention.

After a workout your body is relaxed and able to handle being still longer than in normal circumstances. Even for a beginner meditating at this time, for a few minutes can be used to refresh and reset your mindset and your picture of yourself in your life.

In the seminar, I talked about the importance of being in the right state of mind to achieve your goals as well as thinking of meditation as a workout for your perception/mind/emotions.

I love how open to meditation everyone was at the Hustle Fitness Recovery Seminar. I am very grateful to be invited to be part of an event like this!

I have found that people don't want to be called psychic. But I have also found that those same people are always up to talking about their own psychic experiences, then everything changes.

It's a beautiful thing to talk to new people about their own psychic experiences and to tell them that their abilities that are innate and human. They love to tell me their stories of how integral being psychic is in their lives. I heard stories of knowing who is going to call before the phone rings. They tell me about dreams that they have had, feelings, seeing things that are not there, intuitions, and much more.

On July 19th, I had the pleasure to be invited as a teacher to represent InVision at an event with Yelp Chicago. The event was a “Drink and Learn event at WorkSpring,” bringing together influencers, bloggers, Instagrammers, and Chicago's Top Yelpers to see a beautiful space and learn new skills.

When I accepted the invitation, I wanted to change peoples ideas of what it means to be psychic. I set out to do this by highlighting not only how naturally psychic each person is, but also to identify which psychic skill they were using the strongest in their life.

To do this I brought an amazing team of InVision readers, Meghan, Cyril, and Seth, lead by Autumn Jones. Each reader wore a t-shirt with a different psychic ability on it: dreamer, clairvoyant, intuitive, empath, and healer.

The readers gave readings on all 5 psychic abilities and identified which was their dominant ability. We called this their psychic superpower! The readers then placed a sticker on the readee with their Psychic Super Power on it, this was so fun. We read 45 people in 2 hours and had a waiting list of 36 more people when we finished.

While the readers were working their magic, I was giving non-stop 25 min lectures on what each of the 5 abilities are, and what it means to have them. I showed them real life examples of the ability, and a few meditation exercises that are helpful to each. I started at 7:00pm with The Healer, and culminated at 9:00pm with The Dreamer.

It was fun to see people smile when they realized they were a healer, or the couple who cracked up because they realized one was an empath and the other an intuitive, they even did mini-clairvoyant readings. Overall it was a night full of laughter, and more than a few minds where blown. Mission accomplished! Check out our video of all of the fun pictures we took that day. Enjoy!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the event, let’s do it again some day,
Natalia Jones
Director of the Woman's Program at InVision

Have you ever played an instrument that was out of tune? No matter what you play it doesn't sound good, it doesn't feel right. And if you play regularly, you know that you need to tune your instrument regularly. You tune a Guitar, you tune a Piano, you tune a Drum because it doesn't sound right if you don't.

People are the same way, we get out of tune. It works on all levels; physical, emotional, familial, mental, and psychic. We hit something (we get stuck or blocked) or we simply go out of tune over time. And then no matter what we are playing, it doesn't feel good, we don't feel right. We can be having the hardest time. We are struggling and it's not fun.

This is often how I see people who are seeking out InVision: they are "out of tune." Many people are feel stuck in their life. They are playing, they are playing hard, they've been playing a long time, and it isn't working.

They could use an Energy Healing. An Energy Healing is a tuning for your Life-Force and your body so that they are in sync. So you can play and it feels good, it feels right. You are back in tune.

Actually, I think you could say that most people walk around "out of tune" all the time. They create discord. They are not in harmony. They are unhappy and angry because no matter what they play at, it doesn't feel right. They are not playing their own song.

Another problem is that just like musical instruments, there isn't one kind of person. How you tune an oboe is different from how you tune a banjo. Musical instruments all sound different, they are not the same. And like musical instruments we are all different, we are not all the same. We each tune up differently.

And to complicate matters worse, we are all playing different songs. What is right for one person is not right for another because not only are we different people with different tunings, but what we are aiming for might be different too. People are complicated!

However just because we are tuned differently doesn't mean that anything goes. Each of us actually has a very specific tuning. And when we are out of balance, we are in discord. We need tuning. And we may not have been in tune for a very long time so that we don't even know what it feels like when we are.

Working with Energy is like music. The creativity, the awareness, the idea of being in harmony and having rhythm all correspond to the ways of playing in your life. If Meditation is finding your song, finding your muse., then Energy Healing is tuning your instrument, and getting into harmony.

InVision offers Meditation and Healing throughout the week. We work with tuning up people in a variety of ways. Please stop by to learn more about finding your answers about getting back in tune.

Summer Psychic Classes begin next week. Join us and let's begin again.

Director of InVision

InVision Blog by Kirstin Travers - 7M ago

We spent 5 minutes with Autumn Jones. Autumn is a teacher in the Woman's Clairvoyant Training I. She is passionate about communication, languages, and travel and she offers her Readings in English, Spanish, and French.

What was your first Psychic experience?
When I was little I would always have intuitions or feelings that something was going to happen. I knew what the lines would be in movies, or I knew how people were feeling and thinking. A lot of the time, I would have dreams about things that were going to happen.

How do you nerd out?
Anything and everything French. It all started when I began studying the language, and continued to when I was living there. Whenever I meet anyone who is French I get kind of starstruck, and I love to hear about any news from over there. You could call me a little obsessed…

What inspires you?
Skylines inspire me. I love seeing the horizon with a beautiful skyline of the city. It’s inspiring to see something so massive and beautiful that has been created.

What is your favorite psychic TV series?
Stranger Things is an incredibly psychic TV show. Eleven is so psychic, she is able to move through different dimensions and use telepathy. I can’t wait until season 2 this year!

What is your guilty pleasure?
I will still have a good listening session to Justin Bieber.

What’s your favorite cocktail?
My favorite is the Lillet Rosé Martini. It’s very floral, light, and fun!

What is your most useless psychic talent?
I can guess next song on the radio, but only for B96 and 103.5.

What is the last psychic book you’ve read?
Right now I’m in the middle of reading the book Dune. It’s a sci-fi adventure novel and it is so psychic.

What is your latest project?
My latest project has been teaching in the Woman’s Clairvoyant Training Program. It has been such a pleasure to develop my teaching skills and dive into the information!

InVision Blog by Emily Robinson - 7M ago

Some of you may have heard the news that I had to put my dog down last week.  If you knew me, you would have known that she was everything to me. I mean everything.  I used to call her my heart.  Looking back on it all I’m not sure how healthy that was, but it was my truth and that’s how it was for the last 13 years.

She was my primary companion. Although I had relationships during that time, she was the constant one.  She was always there.  She was a great dog and I loved her.

She started slowing down a few years ago and last April I found out that she had a tumor. I opted out of surgery since she was an older dog and it seemed like it was that time. As a psychic and a sensitive, I kept receiving communication that it was time to let her go. She was tired and really only existing for me. I had stressed about my decision of opting out of surgery, but as time went on it just made more sense. I got the sense that when she was ready to go, I would know. And when it happened I did.

When I came home that Sunday night, she was not herself. I called my neighbor for a ride to the hospital and I knew this was it. We arrived at the hospital and the Doctor confirmed my thoughts, offering surgery as an option but with a low recovery rate. I couldn’t believe it: the time had finally come. I had been stressing about this for the last year, every day thinking this may be it.  I have never had anyone close to me pass away so this was all new for me.  Very surreal.  I spent the next 2 hours processing it, spending my last moments with her.

Then it was time. I signed the papers and the doctor came in to the room and it was just the three of us. The doctor did his thing and let me and Love have our final moments together on this amazing, crazy spiritual journey.  I loved her more than anything in this world, she was my heart. She was ready to go.

Then that was it, her spirit left her body.  I felt a sense of relief knowing that she was free from the pain.  Her spirit revealed itself to me and it was full of life and laughter and she was free.  I cried for a few days, packed up most of her stuff, and picked up her ashes. As the days started to add up I began to feel like I had more space in my life than I ever had. I felt free.  I had been feeling a lot of her pain over the last year and once she was gone the pain in me lifted away. I had so much more energy than ever before.  I had this desire to spend time with people, socialize, have relationships with people! I had isolated myself a lot during her last year and now all I wanted to do was be out with people, enjoying life.  This seemingly horrible turn of events ended up setting us both free. We had a great life together and I will never forget her. It was the end of Love, but it is just the Beginning

Emily will be teaching the Having Relationships Class. This class is a great opportunity to put your InVision Meditation tools into practice in your relationships and future relationships! Having Relationships begins May 1st, the InVision Meditation class is the prerequisite. For more information, you can contact Emily at emily@invisionpsychic.com.

Adiós, adieu, addio, adeus, aloha, arrivederci, ciao, auf Wiedersehen, au revoir, bon voyage, sayonara, shalom, totsiens, vale, and zaijain. So long, Lakeview!

We have had a marvelous time over the last 14 years in Lakeview. It has been a home to InVision and to many of our staff and students. It is a vibrant part of the Chicago community, and home to our World Champion Chicago Cubs. But like all good things, it must come to an end.

The Lakeview neighborhood is growing and there are billions of dollars being poured in, creating tremendous change. The Cubs stadium alone has had $500 million in renovations in the last 3 years and it is just 3 blocks from InVision. In addition the Chicago Transit Authority's Red Line renovation is happening directly behind the Lakeview building (I mean literally 6 feet away) this fall. It is a $1.2 Billion investment from the Federal, State, and City governments to modernize our rail system.

This is an early Mockup of InVision's layout 10 years ago. There were many nights where every room was being used and people were giving psychic readings in the hallways!

And because of this new Red Line Renovation, we will soon be asked by the city and the CTA to move out. Our building at 3340 N. Clark Street is a casualty of this improvement and they will be tearing it down to make way for our new rail system.

As it turns out, it could not have worked out more perfectly for us: Our lease has come to an end and we are ready to move out, too. InVision is growing and we have transitioned into a primarily online organization; we are being seen in a new light. Located now in the heart of the city, we are right where we belong!

We have evolved from a local psychic school on the north side of Chicago to a World Class online organization with students both domestically throughout the U.S. and internationally in Europe and Asia. And our new facilities downtown in River North reflect that.

It's almost like we were psychic and saw this coming... So we will be closing our Lakeview facility on May 31st, 2017. All InVision offices and resources will be housed in our River North location. Essentially, we have been teaching everything out of here for most of this semester anyway. We are moving on by creating and destroying. We practice what we preach.

So, it is an end of an era. We will be holding several special events upcoming on weekends in May in Lakeview. Look to our Events page in the near future for more information and dates. It is our farewell tour for InVision Lakeview and we would love for you to be part of it. You can collect up your energy, so that you too can move forward with grace and gratitude for a most marvelous experience.

Thank you Lakeview. The time has passed so quick, we feel like we hardly had a chance to know you. ~ Kenneth Jones, Founder of InVision

This is the "Big Room" in Lakeview as it looked when we first moved in almost 10 years ago. Everything was painted in safety grey, ink spots, and white. We have had thousands of Classes and Workshops in this room, beside countless Energy Healing Hours.

InVision Blog by Kenneth Jones - 7M ago

I was asked the other day if InVision Meditation is about being selfless. It isn’t. Once, I was asked if it was okay to just space out and go blank. Well sure of course it is, but that isn't meditation. Other people have told me in no uncertain terms that the goal of all meditation is to lose who you are, to lose yourself. Well I want to burst that bubble right now. It absolutely is not. No way!

To meditate is to be selfish. People who meditate are some of the most self centered people that I know. They have big, healthy egos. Now, when I say being self-centered I don’t mean it in a spoiled teenager kind of way. Being centered on yourself is a very positive stance for you to take; it is compassionate and it is life affirming. You need to be selfish in order to put yourself first.

To make time for yourself in this age of non-stop work days and constant pressures can seem like a luxury. And yet, what is the point of all of your hard work if you are disconnected and not able to enjoy it? Meditation focuses your energy back to what is important. Rather than leaving yourself scattered or just generally depleted, you can center and focus your energy. This is a different way to Meditate. It is about creating focus and the best place to focus is yourself.

Meditation then becomes an agent of change: It is powerful. In the most wonderful way, when you meditate, you get unstuck. Your energy begins to flow, your creativity turns on, and you become revitalized. Even though these changes happen inside of you, a curious thing happens. When you change inside, the world outside of you seems to adjust and change, too. It feels like you are living in a more true and authentic life. Meditating with more of your energy feels great.

Having more energy allows you to do what you might have seen as impossible, in part because you have more energy, but also because a space opens up inside of you. It is tangible, it is real, and you feel more in and connected to your life, not standing outside of yourself looking in.

When you meditate in this way you step away from the world, you close your eyes and focus. The idea is that for a few minutes a day rather than solving all of your problems, you put yourself first and you make sure that you are on track. It is a selfish act, and yet it is also an act of kindness to put yourself first.

The InVision Meditation Class is a foundation. This class offers the essential techniques and information to learn and develop your energy, your space, and strengthen yourself.

At InVision we do not see this as an end, but as the beginning. It is the beginning of a life self centered, aligned to your goals, vibrant and healthy. InVision Meditation doesn’t change you, it makes more room for you. It is a new way to Meditate.

InVision Blog by Autumn Jones - 7M ago

We spent 5 Minutes With Renee Picard. Renee is the new Director of Astral Training at InVision. She is a world traveller and loves big cities!

What was your first psychic experience
I remember a dream I had when I was 3 or 4 years old. We were living in Tokyo, Japan. In the dream, I remember walking on a rough path down the side of a mountain and passing a huge face hewn into the side of the mountain. It was important to interact with that face for some reason. It’s ironic that one of my strongest memories from that part of my childhood is a dream, not my life in Tokyo! I hardly remember that at all.

How are you a nerd?
I’m a history buff, always have been. I was once the only woman in a long line of men at a book signing for a major British military historian named John Keegan. Definitely a nerd moment for me.

What inspires you?
Great art. Paintings, dance, music, theater, films, architecture, photography. To me a great play beautifully written, acted, and directed is the highest of art forms. Human beings reflecting the human experience back to other human beings. I still get chills over the ritual of it all every time the lights go down in a theater.

What is your latest project?
I’m moving into the directorship of the Astral Program at InVision this semester! Dare I say it’s a dream come true?

What is your favorite psychic tv series?
I’m into Legion. The main character is all over the place on different planes of existence. It completely suits my move into the Astral Training Program!

What is your latest guilty pleasure?
Battle scenes in the tv show Vikings. They are the best. I love good battle scenes!

What is your favorite cocktail?
I enjoy a really good red wine, and luckily I have a husband who knows how to choose one.

What is your most useless psychic talent?
I am at the door before the GrubHub delivery person is even up the steps. I just know when they are there. Very useless!

What is the last psychic book you read?
I am reading The Silk Roads. People think history is boring and methodical. To me, it’s everything we are rolled into one big story. How could you not be interested in your own story?

The rustling of tuning instruments make their way to the ears of audience members as each performer does their pre warm up routine. Hours and hours of preparation have accumulated into this exact moment in time. How does your body feel? What are the sensations around you?

A performer's experience is filled with opportunity and expression of self. Stepping into a world of freedom and unknowns. On stage something can happen within an instant. As a performer you are free to roam through time picking up the information of past and allowing it to live and breathe within the present. How can something feel so real and true in a single moment yet have been rehearsed and done a thousand times? Yet no two nights are the same.

A space is created and a moment in time is seen. As a performer there is an obligation to give and communicate from a very vulnerable place which can sometimes take a toll on your body and spirit. As a creative and an expressive being its easy to get lost with in the fast moving life style and forget about the person running the show in your life: You!

For the month of April I will be offering a Specialty Psychic Reading for the Performer. In this reading we will be exploring you and your truth as a performer helping you navigate back to the true essence and state of your expression.

Some of the topics I will be looking at are; how do you communicate with your audience, being seen and the energy you handle when auditioning, calling back your energy from previous performances and why you do what you do.  To perform is a gift but to perform from your truth is Magical.

In addition to being a Psychic at InVision. Tessa has been a performer throughout her whole life. She lives in London, England and performs onstage throughout the week as a Professional Acrobat. Book a Reading with her on the Psychic Readings Page or you can contact her for more information at: tessa@invisionpsychic.com.

And each year I also go as much as I can to the Chicago International Film Festival.

What inspires you?
I am fascinated with people’s stories. I am continually inspired by the Human Spirit and it’s ability to forgive, heal, and transcend some of the most extreme circumstances.  For me it is a continual reminder that we are capable of so much more than we realize.

A Cucumber Sakerita, it has a subdued tangy and botanic taste that is incredibly refreshing.

What is your most useless psychic talent?
When my phone rings, I play a game with myself to see if I can guess who it is.  I have done this hundreds of times and I’m almost always right. Yet I still get as amused as I did the first time I played the game. There’s something so simple and magical about it that cracks me up.

What is the last psychic book you read?
Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle Melton. I couldn’t put it down. It’s a brave and vulnerable story about self-exploration and love! She is totally psychic
