Late last night, we got back from an amazing trip to Paris, Versailles and London. I have been to these places before but I was extra excited to go this time because we were also going to the On The Run Tour II in Paris! My travel partners were my best friend Janel and AnnDrew. When Bey and Jay released the tour dates, we decided to get tickets to the Paris show and that’s where the idea for this adventure began. This was to be my best friend’s first time in Paris, so we came up with an itinerary to make sure we made the most of our time. We made sure we bought all museum tickets and made reservations in advance, so we weren’t out of luck when we arrived. We also saved a lot on transportation costs because we walked everywhere. Like literally everywhere! It was a great way to actually see the city. Paris was EXTRA LIT because Bastille Day was happening while we were there and France won the World Cup!! You already know it was crazy out there!! We did A LOT and had a blast doing it, so I will share our itinerary for those planning a trip!

Check out some of our outfit deets from our trip:

Bonjour from Paris - YouTube

DAY 1: PARIS – WE ARRIVED

We got to our hotel in the early afternoon, so we had to quickly change and hit the road. We went to Trocadero steps to get a good view of the Eiffel, but it was packed so we walked through the streets and got some great shots. We also went to Champ de Mars (the park right under the Eiffel) and chilled there for a bit. After that, we went to our dinner reservation at Matignon. It was delicious and our drinks were great too! We walked around some more and went to the Arc de Triomphe. That night we went and sat under the Eiffel to watch it light up at night and it was perfect.

DAY 2: PARIS

We purchased our tickets to the Lourve Museum for 9am before we got there to make sure we were the first group to get in. We didn’t feel like being in there while it was super packed. After the museum, we put our lock on the Pont des Arts bridge. We got our gold locks from a hardware store and brought them with us. They do have vendors out there selling locks, but you may end up spending more. AnnDrew loved writing on her lock and hanging it up. It was super cute. We had a 2pm reservation at L’Avenue.

This is a very popular restaurant and all of the celebs love to frequent there. And it was GOOD! We ended up lucking up and coming across a fair, so AnnDrew got to get on a bunch of rides and have a ball. We walked around after the fair through a local park and then headed to dinner. We ate at Ferdi. This is another popular spot and they make a meannnn burger and churros for dessert.  We went to Notre Dame today as well.  We ended up at the Eiffel again that night and had theee best time. There are vendors selling bottles of wine and beer out on the lawn, so you can get turnt while watching the tower light up. People were playing music and everyone was having a ball. That night was super fun! We made sure we packed a sheet, so we had something to chill on.

We travel often and when we are on the plane, I am always looking for a seat that has a open seat next to it. I love when that happens because AnnDrew gets to have her own seat. Having a lap infant has its perks because you don’t have to buy a flight ticket for another person. Howeverrrrrr, a squirming toddler on your lap for a long period of time in tight quarters isn’t always fun. When I heard of Jetkids and the Bed Box, I was hype and had to have it. The team sent us a bed box to try on our trip to Paris, which is a 7 hour flight!

What is the Bed Box you ask?

A former captain for Norwegian Air and his wife, a specialist in children’s travel products, invented the Bed Box after noticing the difficulties of getting kids to sleep on the plane. Bless her heart lol! Bed Box is currently available with blue and red trim, the box itself is light grey. You can purchase from the manufacturer Jet Kids direct with shipping cost, or they have local distributors around the world. Inside the box is a mattress, rail guards and stickers for the kids to decorate their boxes. The Bed Box is surprisingly light and without anything other than the mattress in it, pretty easy to carry. I put a small blanket in there for her in case it gets cold on the plane, little snacks and some books/toys to keep her occupied.

The case includes a small handle that is attached, as well as a longer strap that can be used to pull it along, or attached to either end of the case as a carry strap. The long strap also doubles as the locking strap to attach the box to the bottom bar of the seat. This is important because it keeps the box in place.

The wheels work very easily. This bad boy glides along the floor!  Keep in mind there are no brakes lol Don’t let your kid roll away It is super easy to put together, but I practiced at home a few times to make sure I wasn’t going to hold people up on the plane. It easily fits stowed in the overhead compartment or under the seat for take off, then after the seat belt sign comes off, you can pop it into action.

The lid comes off easily by pressing the two side buttons, then flips over to become a flat surface and the lid slides out to become the base for your kiddos legs.  You then roll out a thin mattress (provided) on top of the lid to make a bed.  The mattress comes with side flaps. Once your ‘bed’ is made your kid hops in then you put the blanket on with the seat belt over the top.

Watch this quick video on how it works!

I honestly love this and would recommend it for people traveling with children on long flights. Even if they don’t sleep the entire time, they still have a designated space just for them.

Get the box here. Check them out on instagram for more photos and videos of how it works.

Disclosure: We were provided with a Bed Box by Jet Kids for the purpose of conducting an honest review, we have not been paid for this and all opinions are our own

Being organized has helped me out big time when it comes to traveling. I always make sure I have a “packing list” written a few days prior to my trip. I write down everything I need to remember to pack and since I do it a few days prior, if I remember anything else I write it down. It helps to write it in the note section of your phone, so you can always have it on you. Whenever I travel, I always have these 5 things in my bag.

All Natural Hand Sanitizer Towelettes

I like these individually wrapped towelettes because you always need a hand sanitizer on the plane. Since they are individually wrapped, they are great to throw in your bag. I use them to wipe down surfaces like my phone and the airplane tray and arm rests. They are made with naturally antibacterial essential oils, so your skin doesn’t dry out. They are great to use on the kids too!

Portable Charger

If you know me, then you know I ALWAYS have a portable charger with me. We use our phone for so much now and you never want to be out with a dead phone. This can charge two devices at once and charges my phone 3-4 times. I have two phones and this always lasts for both.

Rose Water Facial Spray

I love this Mario Badescu rose water and green tea facial spray. I use it to give myself an extra glow when traveling. The air on the plane can dry you out, so this is great to pump a few mists on your face mid flight. Who wants to wake up from a flight looking crazy and dry lol no one!

100% Silk Travel Pillow, Eye Mask and Slippers

I love to sleep on a silk pillowcase, so when traveling I bring my travel pillow case. The amino acids in the silk fibers help prevent hair breakage, sleep lines and wrinkles. The eye mask and the slippers will have you feeling so comfortable on your flight.

Ahava Mineral Hand Cream

This is my favorite hand cream! Besides the fact that it smells great, it really does keep my hands moisturized.

We decided to go to The Hamptons for the holiday to get some fun and relaxation all in one! For those of you that are unfamiliar with The Hamptons, here is a quick rundown. The Hamptons make up a group of villages and hamlets on the South Fork of Long Island. At the very end of this fork lies Montauk, a formerly quaint fishing and surfing town turned rich celebrity hipster mecca.  Ask anyone who vacations in The Hamptons what their favorite is and you’ll get many different answers. As of now, Sag Harbor is my favorite. The other Hamptons are in order from West to East: Westhampton, Hampton Bays, Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sagaponack, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amagansett and then Montauk, nicknamed ‘The End’ by locals for…obvious reasons. There are plenty of bright new restaurants, cheery cocktail clubs and beachfront fun. Fashion and beauty shops are popping up all over the East End. And the social circuit is as poppin as ever with big-ticket parties nearly every weekend. It is perfect to visit The Hamptons for a quick getaway – with weekdays probably being the best to avoid the large crowds.

We ate good had a great time even though it was a million degrees lol. I wanted to share a recap of what we did in case anyone wanted to take the trip.

Where we stayed:

We spread our time our between Bayview Resort and Capri. Bayview is more on the quiet and relaxing side, while Capri was more of the fun spot. Bayview Resort is right on the water, so you get to sit on the dock and take in all of the great views!

Bayview Resort

Capri Hotel, Restaurant & Pool

Where we ate:

We ate really good while we were in The Hamptons. Some of the restaurants we went to were:

Dopo – Sag Harbor

This place is so cute and the food is all that!

Rumba – Hampton Bays

They have THE best rum punch! Omg it was so good! They also have awesome views.

Oreya – Inside of Capri

We ate there while at the Pool Party and the food was good! They also had this drink that instantly became my fav. It was rose ice pops in a glass of rose!!

Out of The Blue Seafood- Southampton

We had good seafood here! It was really fresh!

Some other options to visit are Barons Cove and Le Bilboquet in Sag Harbor.

At the farthest end of the island is Montauk Lighthouse. Even if you don’t get to climb up to the top of the Lighthouse, it’s worth a stop to admire the view and watch all the people fishing off the rocks. You could also do a bunch of hikes around Montauk Point State Park.

We were only there for a few days, so we obviously didn’t do everything you can do in the Hamptons. I have been there a bunch of times before, so I made a list of fun things to do/restaurants to visit while there.

  1. If you feel like having some dim sum with Champagne, check out Jue Lan Club, a clubby modern Chinese restaurant named after a secret art society from the 1930s, is opening a 6,000-square-foot night spot in Southampton.

The action begins during the day with a three-course “bottomless brunch” with unlimited mimosas, bloody Marys or screwdrivers ($34.95).  On weekend nights, the Elm & Main lounge takes over the backroom and features D.J.s and an open kitchen till 4 a.m.

Jue Lan Club, 268 Elm Street, Southampton; 631-353-3610

  2. The Hamptons restaurateur, Zach Erdem, is expanding his night life empire. Mr. Erdem, the owner of the poppin 75 Main in Southampton, opened 4 new spots. First is Kozu, a 250-seat Japanese restaurant with a large patio overlooking Main Street. Daniel and Derek Koch, the party promoters, held their Champagne brunches there on Saturdays. I’m not sure if they still do. Behind it is Summer House, a late-night lounge with a patio filled with white-linen daybeds and hydrangeas.

Mr. Erdem is reopening the former 1Oak space as AM, a booming nightclub with graffiti-decorated walls, headlining D.J.s, and gyrating burlesque dancers from The Box. And when it’s time to sleep, Mr. Erdem’s Hotel ZE (at the same address as Kozu) has five suites and four rooms designed by Costas Kondylis. Rates start at $800 on weekends.

Kozu, Summer House, Hotel ZE, 136 Main Street, Southampton; 631-619-6660

AM, 125 Tuckahoe Lane, Southampton; 631-353-3888

  3. Visit the Aquarium
  4. Go to anyone of the beaches
  5. Visit the Museums
  6. Charter a Boat

FYI – Although Uber is still banned in East Hampton, getting around the East End is easier (and cheaper) this summer with the Hampton Hopper, a mint-green school bus that operates 12 stops from Sag Harbor village to Montauk. Single rides are $12; unlimited daily passes, $20. It runs Thursdays to Sundays; download its app for a schedule. Had too much champagne at the party? A new app, Driver on Tap, will dispatch a designated driver to get you back home in your own vehicle, starting at $35.

Enjoy some of our other pics from our stay!

You all know AnnDrew’s vacation alter ego – #SunscreenShorty! This girl loves applying her own sunscreen and she does it well. We joke all the time that she needs sunscreen anonymous! She knows when we get to the beach/pool that is it sunscreen time. Yasss AnnDrew – protect that melanin!

Ever since she was an infant, we have used Babyganics sunscreen products on her. You all have heard me speak of this brand after each vacation we go on. When I began researching different sunscreen products, babyganics stood out because of their ingredient selection. I immediately liked that they chose plant-based and plant-derived ingredients in their products. I love that the packaging is recyclable and everything is so thought out when it comes to this line. You can tell that they really put a lot into creating a sustainable line.

Since I can be a germ freak, I love that Babyganics conducts microbial testing on each batch of products to make sure there is no bacterial growth! No that’s awesome! Who wants to be putting things on their babies that can potentially be harmful?? No one!

Below is a breakdown of my favorite products from the Babyganics line and you can click the photos to check the product out.

SPF 50+ Sunscreen: This goes on the baby’s skin easy and lasts for a good while. I never felt like I had to keep replying this each time the baby came out of the water, which is awesome!

SPF 50+ Sunscreen Stick: AnnDrew and I love this one. We use the stick for her face and the stick is great because you can rub it in the exact spots you need it to go.

Natural Insect Repellant: The repellant is DEET free, which is a major plus! What I really love about the repellant is that it is made with essential aromatic oils (citronella, peppermint, rosemary, lemongrass and geranium). I use this product on myself as well. The oils keep the mosquitoes away and we all know we don’t want any mosquitoes killing our vibes!

Overall, this brand gets a thumbs up from me! Keep in mind, they don’t only make sunscreen and insect repellant – they also cary other household items. AnnDrew has some pairs of their swim diapers and they work great and are too cute!

What are your favorite products from the Babyganics line?

After a few days of having AnnDrew’s hair in a bun, her curls were for lack of a better word-not poppin! I wanted to do a cute style with her hair without having to wash it to get the freshly washed look. So I used my curl refresh method to get them back. It is super easy and quick and the whole process took about 10 minutes. Check out the pictures below to see the before and after. Also, watch the video to see how we did it.
