If 2018 has taught us anything, it’s that I love a good unscripted TV show. I mean, I even gave Entertainment it’s own Menu Tab and it has to be one of the most discussed subjects when we chat in the DMs. So you know when I am really excited about something TV-related, I am going to share it with you and tell you to watch it so we can talk about it together. And that is what brings us to this moment right here, right now. I need you to say hello to our new favourite show: Where to I Do? premiering tonight on Gusto TV at 8 PM EST. I had a chance to sit down with the host, Tommy Smythe (Design Inc., Sarah 101, The Marilyn Denis Show) to chat about the venue vetting process, how to make an agreeable decision as a couple and what he’ll be doing tomorrow night for the show’s premiere. You’ll also get a little preview of what you can expect from the season, how to navigate family and Tommy’s biggest tip when choosing your wedding venue. And there’s sheep! I can. not. wait. lexniko: So I have to admit, I am a real estate, property, design reality […]

It is NO secret that Nostalgia is so in right now. From TV revivals like Roseanne and 90s fashion trends, to bands like the Backstreet Boys announcing residencies in Vegas, everything that was old is new again. And guess what: I AIN’T MAD ABOUT IT. It’s a nice feeling to be reminded of the way things were and also to experience them yet again, with a twist. So I was delighted when on my most recent trip to California, me and my girls Britney and Robin got to spend a day at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. I asked my parents and I hadn’t been to Disneyland since I was 9 or 10 years old and to cut right to the chase: it was the BEST DAY EVER. Beyond reliving my childhood, it was Robin’s first time and experiencing the parks while celebrating friendships and her first visit made for an amazing memory that lived up to all that nostalgia hype. Whether you have children or are just young at heart; it’s your first time or 50th, if you’re headed to California, I urge you to take a day and make a trip to Main Street, U.S.A., aka Disneyland. I’ve […]
MET GALA 2018 BROUGHT IT! For real, this year was one of my favorite, if not the most favorite MET Gala arrivals to watch. The theme of Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination surprisingly left a lot to be imagined and had stylists and designers sprinkling their best interpretation of how Catholicism has impacted fashion all over the red carpet. We got crosses, we got jewels, we got crowns and we got FIRE. Attendees all seemed to lean in large to the theme (which doesn’t typically happen) and appeared to genuinely enjoy serving us looks upon entrance. Without any further adieu, let’s dive right in to some of the highlights of the evening. Rihanna I mean we have to dive in with the Queen. Rihanna BROUGHT IT in what can only be described as this pope-inspired Maison Margiela. A lot of people went short with their gowns this year, and to have a co-chair lead the pack with this trends just shows that it was so on-point and a subtle nod to the devilish Catholic school girls who never wore they kilts quite long enough. The headdress, the detail and the swag that only Rihanna can bring, made this look one of my favourites […]
I am literally cringing at the quality of this podcast episode and at the celebrity news that I have to report. First off, I am recording this at the airport and I tried to isolate myself but for WHATEVER reason the most annoying people have chosen to talk on their phone, sit directly beside me or engage in conversation right in front of my face. I am obviously exaggerating but still, the sound quality of this episode is subpar and I am frequently distracted because I feel awkward with these mouth breathers listening in on my recording. So SORRY – I almost didn’t release it but I must because there is so much to discuss this week and no one is going to hold me down! We are talking Kanye and Van Lathan, Michael B. Jordan and apparently the show I’ve been missing out on for years, Southern Charm. I hope you enjoy what I’m saying over how I’m saying it (awkwardly and like I’m severely uncomfortable) but my points are there. Enjoy the second hand embarrassment – for the celebrity stories and also for myself. I need your encouragement any way I can get it this week – so if […]
I don’t really know how to start this post. I mean I do, I’m here, I’m starting it, though I guess I am starting without an end in mind. Since traveling for the last four months, I’ve realized that my long-term friendships have been tested and lucky for me, survived the distance. I’ve come to realize that being in a friendship/relationship with a person who works in social media is a lot like a long distance relationship. I am constantly on go the and so are my friends – whether its from country to country, or events in the city – and because of that my actual down time is extremely limited. The opportunity to spend time with my core group of friends has become fewer and farther between and it has truly shown me that I have surrounded myself with good people in my life and when we do have the time to get together, we all make it count and all do our best to show up and be there. Before this becomes an open love letter to my favorite gfs, what I really wanted to get out of this post is that it’s an interesting realization that working in social media […]
So I have been gone for a minute and now I’m back. And what comes with being back? SO MUCH INFORMATION! That’s right, I am ready to share all about my travels, starting with the one + only COACHELLA! Coachella was a mammoth of an adventure. What the heck do I mean? Well for starters, there is a lot to do, in not a huge amount of time. I’ve rounded out my list of 10 Things I Learned at Coachella, to help you navigate your way next year. 1. Have a schedule Here’s the thing: During Weekend One there’s a healthy offering of parties and the festival. You definitely need to have a schedule if you plan on doing both. For example, Friday I went to events and Saturday I hit up the festival in the evening and Sunday went during the afternoon. You 100% cannot do it all, so I suggest you make the hard decisions or if you’re boujee, go back Weekend Two to take in what you couldn’t of the festival Weekend One (there are no brand parties Weekend Two). 2. Stick with your tribe Cell reception is low to nadda on the festival grounds and in the desert […]
Happy Monday Kiddos! I’m back on the blog and have linked pretty much everything that I wore while I was away in Hawaii. As I mentioned on my Instagram, I love choosing versatile, easy to pack items that go from day-to-night and use accessories to add fun detail to every look. Most of these items run true to size (I wear a size small for clothes), though for bikinis and bathers, I wear a size medium because I prefer how it looks in photos, though be careful if you’re actually going in the water with a larger than your size bather. As always, reach out with any questions and happy shopping, x! Brown Polkadot Pants | Blue & White Palazzo Pants | Black & White One Piece Swimsuit | Joshua Tree Crop Top | Eyelet Crop Top | Black Paperboy Cap | Camel Wide Brim Fedora | Rainbow Bandeau Bikini | Ribbed Bikini Top | Ribbed Bikini Bottom | Adidas Original Leggings | Vans Old Skool Sneakers | Triangl Neoprene Bikini | Navy Tassel Kaftan | Pink Silk Scarf | Rose Gold Flip Flops | The Little Market Beach Bag | White Birkenstock Sandals | White Long Sleeve Top | Oval Sunglasses | Ray Ban Circle Sunglasses | Karen Walker Tortoise Sunglasses | Le Specs Cat Eye Sunglasses | Black & White Striped Skirt | Denim Shortalls | Tube Hoop Earrings | Clare V Straw Tote
Helloooo from Hawaii. I’m going to get right to it because I do not want to miss a moment in the sunshine so here it goes — Today’s pod ep features an in-depth look into why Channing Tatum is hanging out with Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Jenna Dewan teaches us how to handle to breakup like a goddess (take notes Blake Shelton). Then I spend a real 5-7 minutes sharing why I think you need to put Sebastian Stan on your Internet BF radar and I LIE because I said he doesn’t have Instagram but whoa whoa whoa HE DOES – plot twist. It’s even more narcissistic and self-righteous than I anticipated and let me tell you, I AM HERE FOR IT. The selfies, the fashion, the #spon #ads for #jaguar – I don’t understand why we’re not in love making beautiful Insta Paid Partnerships together. SAD. So many cap locks you guys, because I am dying with obsession rn. Anyway that’s another 1-2 minutes dedicated to my I.B. – Internet Boyfriend. I also have my sissy, Mia, on as a guest answering your fitness and health-related questions and we got to a lot of them. So listen, love it, laugh and […]
