Things that were important can become suddenly nonexistent. Live in the moment and accept the things that you cannot change.

I read a book in July called “Something More” by Sarah Ban Breathnach and it, along with several other series of events this year, changed my life…opened my eyes…forever.

I’m not the same person I was this time last year and so grateful to the universe for that. I realize now I was in a bad place, both physically and spiritually. I was in a toxic environment, surrounded by toxic thoughts. and toxic people.

Granted, somethings still need to change but I am at peace with myself and in my own skin and right now that is all that matters to me.

Looking back, I believed I experienced what some refer to as ‘The Dark Night of the Soul’ during the end of 2017. I had lost myself and my connection to the divine.  I was struggling with my life’s purpose and felt worthless and even suicidal. I knew that if I continued down the path I was traveling on, I wasn’t going to make it. So, I prayed.

For those who know me know I’m spiritual but not religious.  A polytheist.  I believe in all Gods and Goddesses and the divine source. So, I made my new year’s resolution at the beginning of this year to reconnect with myself on a soul level.  You can go back and read some of my soul work that I began in January on this blog. What they don’t tell you is that it’s a raw and painful process.  Your egotistical layers are stripped exposing all of your flaws in great magnitude.  Then the awakening makes you analyze, reflect, accept, and eventually heal those wounds.

Once I was awakened, I could finally see.  I know sounds cheesy but it’s true.  Once your soul is stripped of its ego, all there is left is pure love and to my surprise love found me. Well more like knocked me on my ass and made me go, “Whoa, this is what it’s supposed to be like.”  I started loving myself and thinking that I was enough. Granted the process put stress on other relationships in my life as I was able to see people for who they really were. So in turn, I lost friends and some family members but gained so much more. I’ve experienced love in its purest form. Reconnected with my inner child and once again embraced my creative side.

I’m not saying this year has been easy.  The universe has a way of testing you and keeping you on your toes.  I had to to have emergency surgery in March but with my love by my side I was able to bounce back even stronger than I was before. Follow that with an epic girl’s trip to NOLA and career change and yeah you can say it’s been a wild ride full of love, joy, and contentment like I’ve never known.

Things I’ve come to realize in 2018:

  • People are going to judge you regardless so you might as well do what makes you happy.
  • The heart has a mind of its own.
  • Never run barefoot down the streets of the French Quarter in the rain.
  • When someone says you can’t do something do whatever you can to prove them wrong.
  • Love always wins.
  • Just because your intentions are good and pure doesn’t mean everyone you come in contact with will act the same.
  • You can get a lot more accomplished by getting up two hours early vs. staying up two hours later.
  • True friends are hard to find; cherish them.
  • The universe works in mysterious ways. Even something you see as mundane can turn out to be a life lesson.
  • Laugh and dance as if no one’s watching and if they are fuck ’em and do it anyway.
  • Don’t ever let anyone insult your intelligence or undermine your self-worth.
  • Self-reflection can be a bitch. Own your shit.

Thank you to the J’s in my life for your unconditional love and support you’ve given me this year.  I couldn’t have done it without you.

False Twin Flames are someone you meet that you share a deep spiritual connection with BUT, in the end, they are energy suckers.  Advanced enough to latch onto your metaphysical energy and literally drain the life out of you. This is on a soul level and neither party will be aware that it is happening until the victim is numb and finally walks away.

I know what you’re thinking.  This sounds like an empath/narcissist relationship.  Well, it does because most of the time it IS.

A true twin flame reunion on this plane is rare and can be extraordinary catastrophic because they are all consuming.  You want to be together because they are literally the other half of your soul.  Money, family, career…will all be placed aside as you fight to be with that person. You vibrate on the same level.  Your energies coalesce harmoniously. It’s both beautiful and tragic since not all twin flames are meant to be together in this lifetime.

But, I’m not hear to talk about rainbows and unicorns. Let’s delve more deeply into the signs of a FALSE twin flame shall we? This is coming from my experience, my friend’s experiences, and LOTS of research.

1. The feelings are one-sided.

You have to fight for their affection. You give, they take twice as much, so you find yourself trying to conform to their likes and dislikes hoping to gain their attention. They give you just enough attention and love to keep you strung along but in the end you are left starving.

2.  You are not attracted to their natural smell.

I know that sounds crazy but their smell will always be “off” to you.  This is your soul trying to warn you. You will not be able to get enough of your true twin flame’s smell.  It will intoxicate you.

3.  You feel emotionally drained around them.

You have heard the term energy vampire. You feel drained because they are attached to your energy source and are literally draining you.  You will be exhausted after being around them for long periods of time. They love the ego boost you give them.  It’s like a drug to them.

4.  The running/chasing never stops.

That’s because the connection is never fulfilled. They run, you chase.  You settle into your old ways until your insecurities about your relationship arises again and once you confront them, they run…again.

5.  You always question the relationship.

With a false twin you will always ask, “Is this my twin flame?” With a real twin flame connection you will know.  You will feel it on a soul level because you will both be vibrating on the same frequency.

6.  Constant power struggle for control.

You provide them with an energy high, so they will do everything in their power to try to control it. You, in turn, will sense it on a metaphysical level and try to take back some of that control. Twin’s should share control, Yin/Yang…give and take equality.

7. You are never satisfied.

You always feel there is something “missing” in the relationship. A twin flame will make you feel whole when together.  With a false you will reach for them more and more because your soul is never satisfied. There will never be an end in sight.
