A fashion and lifestyle blog made to entertain and inspire. I’m the queen of contradictions so I felt this name kind of encompassed that. I’ve always been into bohemian style clothes but even when I’m not wearing something that would be portrayed as such I still bring the effortless hippie feel.
If you haven’t already seen via instagram, I got to spend last week in Puerto Rico with my boo’s Payton, Claudia, and Megan at La Concha Resort. It was my first time in PR and I fell in love. The city is so colorful, It reminded me of Miami a little bit (which we all know I love by this point), the water is so blue and the perfect cool temperature, the city is clean, the food is addicting, and everywhere you turn there are homemade tropical drinks (fun fact: the pina colada was invented there). Anywho I highly recommend visiting we all loved it and can’t wait to go back and spend more time in Old San Juan.
Shout out to La Concha for spoiling the hell out of us all week. They truly went all out. They setup meals, a personal trainer, a tour of Old San Juan, late night kayaking, drink tastings, everything. It was so thoughtful! They truly wanted us to experience the whole city and not just their hotel and you could feel their love for the city. I cannot say enough great things about the staff and hotel in general.
It has beach access and 3 different pools so for a person who constantly needs a scenery change (blaming it on my job) it was heaven. We felt like celebrities because every staff member knew our name and was so personable. So thank you thank you for the greatest experience La Concha!
Some San Juan recommendations:
Verde Mesa. Holy shit this place was good. They have a rice dish called Arroz Verde Mesa and it’s kind of like Nasi Goreng but better and more flavorful (I said it).
Old San Juan: Obviously. Imagine a town of pretty pastel spanish colonial style buildings (kind of like New Orleans but wayyyy prettier and cleaner). It’s dreamy and I hate myself for not getting better pics there.
Night Kayaking: @nightkayak on insta. They also have light up bikes!
Kana Kitchen & Rumbar: This was the frat like bar we went to and ordered hookah and beer like we were 18.
Please share any other recs you guys have for my next trip and for the other readers!! Enjoy my pics below. P.s. I’m wearing a lot of High End Hippie Vintage so check the site. XOXO
As you might have picked up from this post Coachella is always A LOT for me but this year I feel like I found a good balance and was way better about living in the moment and not stressing about what I had to do next or what I was missing (big shout out to Sunday Scaries for the assist) . So the past couple years on top of attending the festival, events, and shooting my collabs I’ve been working a styling suit with White Horse Agency, who I work with a lot on various styling jobs. They put it on in partnership with White Label who manages a bunch of talent and such. So basically we create a space where the artists and celebrities can come hang, pick up their wristbands, get their hair and makeup done, hit the open bar, and “shop”. I help in the styling suite and assist where I can on putting outfits together and such. Not sure if I’m allowed to say who I get to work with so just use your imagination. Because I work this from 10-5 (and because I’m obsessed with the people I work with) I stay in the same house as the White Horse Team. Then when I get off at 5 I normally meet up with friends at an event and then head to the festival. Obviously I get very little sleep and down time during the weekend especially since I still insist on going to neon carnival and every other party I can fit in buttttt I wouldnt have it any other way because I work best when I’m busy. Anywho there’s my full coachella schedule for ya now enjoy my 8,000 pics.
So after posting about how the majority of my laundry was biker shorts on stories it became very apparent I needed to do a post on where to find them. I had a ton of DM’s asking me to link mine and wanting to know where to buy so I thought I’d put all my findings together. When I first started wearing them I started with a few cheap pairs off amazon just to make sure I was into them for me and then it went from there. Now I’ve become a full blown collector and don’t know how to style an outfit without them. So ya shop below. As always I’ll continue to add to this post and my boutique as I get new pairs or see any I like! XOXO
Festivals are crazy enough but add on helping style people at a gifting suite, all the over the top events and parties going on, the collaborations I had to shoot, annnnd trying to enjoy myself/get my moneys worth out of my ticket and it’s enough to make the chillest person anxious. You can literally go to coachella and still get fomo because you’re missing 3 other bands you want to see and 4 unreal parties. I get so much anxiety leading up especially going into the weekend with a huge to do list and so many different responsibilities, and lets be honest I don’t make this easier on myself because your girl still likes to party and socialize. So my actual best friend for festivals is Sunday Scaries.
I had them on me at all times… Like I made room in my tiny purses to make sure I could pop 1 or 2 when I needed to. There are so many moving parts and so many people you’re with that you don’t want to leave but have different plans and priorities that it just gets crazy. CBD helps me just chill out and not get too overwhelmed & Sunday Scaries make it so easy for me because it’s high quality CBD in a yummy convenient little gummy. So ideal.
I highly recommend you trying these and if you do use code HIPPIE10 for a little off. For those new to CBD here are a few of the other benefits besides anxiety relief: relieves pain, lowers inflammation, decreases chronic pain, improves mood disorders, aids gut health, helps sleep disorders, and so much more. Hope this helps you all! Let me know if you have any other questions!! XOXO
Bali was seriously the adventure of a lifetime. Especially considering I went into it blind as a bat. All I did was book my flight and tour guide Kylee basically did the rest. Payton and I didn’t even know what cities we were going to when we got on the plane. Like most things, I like to go to new places pretty blind, which can cause quite a lot of trouble so it was a treat and a half to have a perfectly planned out trip where I wasn’t figuring everything out with trial and error.
After the 24 hours of travel ( that really just feels like time travel if you medicate yourself correctly) we met Kylee in at The Udaya in Ubud and had our first balinese massages. This was truly magical timing considering my ankles looked like I was 9 months pregnant post flight. It got all the circulation flowing again. This was also the place I was first introduced to Nasi Gorgeng which is Indonesias version of fried rice. Except its way less heavy and eaten at every meal, especially breakfast. I truly lived off of it. (side-note: Payton was going to pay me $1,000 to get it tattooed on me and I was 1 million percent game but the day of our appointment I got Bali Belly so needless to say I didn’t make it.) The next day we went to monkey forest on our way to our first villa, Eden Residence in Seminyak. We were truly treated like queens and kings here. We had our own pool, rooftop, staff, etc. We had breakfast served to us every morning. I felt like a millionaire because everything is so affordable over there. We spent the most time in Seminyak and the other half of our time in there was spent at the Victoria Villas. There we learned to surf, swing on the infamous swings, went to Potato Head, took rose baths, spent a full day at Finns Beach Club, went to a temple, spent another day at Omnia, went to Strawberry Fields (the cutest restaurant in the land), etc. Our last city was Canggu where we stayed at the Villa Nedine here we mainly just laid out naked and relaxed since it was the end of our trip and we were soooo obsessed with the villa. We did go to the coolest beach side restaurant, La Brisa a few times. This is also where I was sick so I missed about a day and a half of the excitement but I’d be lying if I said I was mad about losing all the Nasi Goreng weight I gained. Long story short, go to Bali. I have been telling everyone this. Watch Bali flight deals and put it on your bucket list and until then enjoy all my pics below. XOXO
Sorry for the delay on this post I truly cannot keep up with all these moving parts these days. I NEED MANAGMENT OR AN ASSISTANT OR SOMETHING. Anyway, this fashion week was EXTRA special because for the first time ever I didn’t share a box with 3 people. The angel that is Kylee Campbell invited Payton and I to stay with her for her Four Seasons partnership and let’s just say they upgraded us, This is the most time I’ve ever spent in a hotel room while in NYC and I can’t say I regret it. It was yet another magical fashion week and I have the pics to prove it (even though let’s honest the best moments were not able to be captured unfortunately). I recorded video of the whole trip to make a vlog but given how things are going we’ll see if that ever gets made. Convince me otherwise and I’ll do it for you. I tagged what I could from my looks but some are High End Hippie vintage as well. Enjoy. XOXO
P.s. what else do you want from these trip roundups? They either feel too brief to me or too detailed lol. It’s hard to capture what happened in a week without talking about every little detail.
If the amount of DM’s and comments I’ve got about my hair clips are any indication, you all seem to be just as obsessed as me. The majority of the ones I’ve been wearing lately are 8 Other Reasons c/o Urban but I’ve seen so many other cute ones that I wanted to include them in my round up. There’s every price points imaginable so start cheap if you’re still not sure about them for you. Personally they save my life because I get weird kinks in my hair and these little guys go right in the crease. Shop below. XOXO
If you follow me or any of the girls I went to Mexico with ( Sage, Payton, Jordan, Kylee, and Claudia) you know very well that we spent a week at The Thompson Playa del Carmen a couple weeks ago. We did very little relaxing and A LOT of drinking and shooting. Which for me and everyone else I was with is very ideal. I get super overwhelmed after a trip if I get zero work done so it’s so nice to shoot enough content to have a few makeup free days (or a week) catching up on computer work at home. Which is precisely what I’ve been doing since I got back. It’s been raining so you can’t judge. Anyway we had all been wanting to get together for a little getaway that wasn’t fashion week or a revolve trip so this was truly a treat. The setup of The Thompson (as well as the staff) was so nice. It is the cutest little boutique hotel in the middle of the city. So during the day we would walk around and go to the little vendors or get street tacos and such. That’s really the only time we would venture off of the properties to be honest- when we were walking from the main building to the beach house. The beach house had another pool and beach access as well as tequila tastings at 6pm so needless to say we spent a lot of time there. It was so nice to get together with a bunch of my friends (that also happen to be woman I respect in the industry) to just vent and talk about everything; life, what’s working and what’s not, the devil that is instagram, and just learn from one another while we hang out, drink, and work a little. SO good for the soul to surround yourself with smart, like minded, motivated people.
Scroll below for all ridiculousness. PS I linked everything I could below but I did wear a lot of High End Hippie Vintage (up on the site to shop now) because none of the stuff I ordered got to me in time (you can find all of that linked on my boutique page). XOXO
… Juicy!!! Which is only appropriate considering the comeback of quirky nineties/early 2000’s trends and the worlds current obsession with athleisure. I am all about it. I honestly have never not been about it considering I still have a pair of their black velour pants (with the pockets, super fancy) that I wear on the reg. I remember just going into Saks when I was bored and day dreaming about owning every color. I got close over time honestly. Knew I should have kept it all. Anywho I just want to take a moment to appreciate Juicy Couture and all that it stood for back in the day. They really did it. You cannot even think about that period of time in pop culture without picturing one young drunk celebrity sporting a full sweatsuit with exposed extensions (and thong), starbucks and sidekick in hand. So iconic.
Now I want to acknowledge how they are coming back with a BANG. Go browse the site to see for yourself but basically they’ve done an amazing job of staying true to the Juicy Couture style but are also very current and elevated. I wanted to wear the OG velour sweatsuit for the post but I also snagged this workout set and these sweatpants. SO good. Also you might want to know theres a little sale going on. Shop below. The rest of the look is tagged throughout my boutique page ps! XOXO
