Porthleven Food Festival 2019! This festival is a highlight in Cornwall’s foodie calendar, and brings together some of our favourite Cornish producers.
The Porthleven Food Festival is the first in our festival season. It’s a three day event, with a large food marquee, chef demo tent, tonnes of street food stalls and camping. All within the beautiful small fishing town of Porthleven in Cornwall.
Porthleven is steeped in history, and is a fabulous place to visit any time of the year.
The Polurrian on the Lizard, previously known as the Polurrian Bay Hotel has had a little revamp, and we were lucky enough to be invited to their launch party.
Two things that make the personality of this hotel shine through:
1/ The staff uniform is the most relaxed, yet sassy, I’ve seen. You can always spot a member of staff as they are wearing red shoes – usually trainers or baseball boots – along with a red belt and a denim shirt.
Fancy winning this beautiful wicker hamper? Well keep reading, as this hamper needs a new home!
Oh hello Spring, and picnics, and camping trips!
To celebrate the return of the sun, I’m passing on this hamper that I was sent by a brand. As beautiful as it is, I have soooo many hampers that I thought I’d pass it on to one of you! Whilst it is technically second hand, it has only been used to send me products and is in perfect condition.

These Banana Chocolate Muffins make the perfect travel snack. Whether they fill a spot in a kids lunch box or are squirrelled away for a rest stop on a road trip, they’ll stay moist and yummy for days.
This recipe has been sponsored by Arla Lactofree.
These muffins are so delicious! As home made chocolate muffins have a tendency to dry out quickly. I decided to add banana to them to keep them moist and tasty for a few days (if of course they last that long!).
