Hi There. Welcome to Harman's Beauty Blog. This is my new website which was created to bring forth different makeup and beauty review, tutorials and outfit posts. You'll find different Makeup, Skincare and Outfit posts here.
Girls generally take skincare and hair care very seriously. But when it comes to brides-to-be, bridal beauty planning takes on a whole new level. If you too are getting married this year and feeling a bit overwhelmed with all that you have to do fret not. First, book your bridal makeup artist for your wedding. And then, get prepared with our checklist to ensure you look and feel fabulous at your nuptials.
It might sound clichéd but this is the first step to any good beauty routine. Drink plenty of water!
Avoid junk / fried food and include healthy items in your diet. You could also start having green tea.
CTMS routine – Start a cleansing, toning, moisturizing and sunscreen (like Dermalogica SPF 50) routine and stick to it. At night, replace sunscreen with a good eye cream / night cream. Beauty oils also do wonders for the skin.
Go to a salon you trust for facials or Clean ups according to your skin type. Do this in intervals of 30-45 days. If you don’t have time to visit a salon, try multi-masking at home. It means using different masks on different areas of your face simultaneously. For example, if your T-zone is oily and the rest of your face isn’t – apply a volcanic mask on the T-zone, a soothing one under the eyes and a hydrating one everywhere else.
While you pamper your facial skin, don’t forget the rest of your body. 2 months prior to the big day, invest in a body scrub or body polishing treatment.
Schedule your waxing + eyebrow threading appointments a couple of days prior to the wedding.
Get your locks trimmed every few months to avoid split ends.
Once a week, massage your hair with oil. Argan oil and Coconut oil are known to be beneficial. If you prefer using organic, chemical free products – you can go for Pahadi Local’s cold pressed hair oils in Apricot or Walnut.
Limit your use of heat styling tools. If you do use them, apply a heat protection spray/mist. BBlunt and Toni&Guy have some good ones.
Schedule salon treatments like conditioning, hair spas or even keratin treatments if you think your hair needs it. Check out the Moroccan Oil hair spa treatment or invest in a hair mask.
Nail health also depends on what you eat. More reasons to start eating nutritious food.
Your hands (thus your nails) are going to be photographed a lot! Make sure you start using a hydrating hand cream and cuticle oil 2-3 months before the wedding. Schedule a manicure + pedicure a couple of days before the big day. You can opt for a gel manicure that lasts longer.
Have the salon professional apply a base coat first (to prevent staining of nails) and a top coat at the end (for a shiny finish and less chipping).

Today I’m reviewing a different kind of a product. This is something that I never thought I would try until I actually did. Lately there has been a big trend of peel off makeup. Videos of people trying them are everywhere on Instagram and Youtube. I will be honest, I wasn’t expecting this to be too great but I love it. If you have light, almost no brows or you’re looking to make yours look darker then this is the product for you. Read on to know more about it.
BBcosmetic is a Korean beauty and makeup site which offers a wide range of products and free shipping. This tattoo gel was the second thing I got from their site. The first product I ordered were three lipstains which I will review as soon as I can get lip swatches done. I never made a big order so I wasn’t charged any Customs. Even the thought of paying big fat customs scares me. The delivery was so quick. My first order took about 2 weeks to arrive because of a Public holiday in Korea and the second arrived in just a week. I am so impressed by their shipping and delivery.
Coming onto the actual product, the Yadah Tattoo gel I have is in the Ash Brown shade which is the darkest colour. When you open it, it looks like a thick dark black gel. You are supposed to brush your brow hair in place and then go over with this gel in the direction of your brow hair. Peeling it is just the opposite. Start peeling it off in the direction opposite to your hair growth.
The Yadah tattoo gel is meant to be left on for atleast 1 hour before you remove it but I prefer keeping it on overnight and peeling off the next morning. You are not supposed to use any water on the tinted area for 24 hours. Believe me, you should not. Clean your face with a cleanser or something. I once used water within 8 hours and most of the tint washed away. So best is to keep it on overnight and then cleanse your face avoiding the brow area and without using water for atleast 24 hours. Only then would the tint last about 5-6 days.
When I peel off the tattoo gel, I am left with much fuller looking brows. It stains the skin dark brown which fills in any gaps that I have and since the Yadah Gel in Ash Brown is a darker brown shade, they do not look very harsh at all. The brows look so natural and fuller. The first time I used it, I kid you not, I was like WOW! This is awesome. And the tint literally lasted for about 5 days. Ofcourse every day it faded a little bit but it was way better than my natural brows.
I think this would be so perfect if you are traveling and want your brows to look polished and full. You don’t have to do touch ups, just use the tattoo gel a day before and voila, you are all set! If you watched my most recent Youtube video, you will see this gel in action. I had filmed on about the 3rd day of putting it on and the brows still looked so natural and full.
I used this on my mother and it she loved the effect as well. It made her scanty brows look so much nicer and thicker. If you notice closely, the colour has a little bit of a red undertone but it’s only noticeable in certain lights otherwise you can see in below pictures, it looks perfectly good.
Up until now, I just thought oh the brow tattoos are for people with lighter brow hair or very little hair but boy was I wrong. I absolutely love the Yadah brow tattoo gel and I highly recommend it to all of you who hate filling in your brows or don’t have the time to do it. I think this would be perfect for a no makeup, makeup look.

I uploaded a new makeup tutorial on my Youtube Channel today. I took so long to edit this video. I just got so tired in the evenings that all I wanted to do was be a couch potato. Once I actually start editing I love the process and it doesn’t take me too long contrary to how long it takes me to actually pickup the computer and turn on the program haha. I have 3 more unedited videos that I will upload soon. Do you have any special requests for me? Any videos or reviews that you want me to do?
Lately I have been so addicted to using glitter in all my looks and also doing cut creases. The eye makeup game honestly is going to a whole new level. People are literally doing such complicated looks like negative liner, double cut creases, animations on the eyelid that it amazes and inspires me big time. I really hope that some of my looks can inspire you guys as well. I post a lot more regularly on my Instagram page so make sure to follow me there. The thumbnail is on the right side of my page.
I will see you all soon with a new review or makeup look.
Till then take care and please subscribe to my youtube channel if you like me videos <3
I’m back with another long pending review. I’m finally getting done with all of the reviews of the products that I have purchased long ago and been using them since. Today I’ll review this setting spray from Gerard Cosmetics which is a brand very popular on Youtube and Instagram. I have already reviewed their lipglosses here. I got this setting spray from their site when they had a 50% off on full price items back in June. The Gerard Cosmetics Setting Spray originally retails for $22 but I got it for $11 on the sale, very good price I would say. Read on to know if I liked it or not.
Availability – www.gerardcosmetics.com
Price- $22 but has a sale quite often
There are lots of different variants in the Gerard Setting spray family, for some reason I chose to go with Lavender. It is light purple in shade and have a strong lavender fragrance. I am not a very big fan of the fragrance but it goes away soon so I dont mind it that much. I think I should have gone with the Aloe Vera version. I have no problems with the pump or the packaging. The pump sprays it evenly and I havent had any problems with the product leaking so far.
When you first spray the Gerard Setting spray on your face, it goes a bit wet and oily for a few seconds after which it starts to dry down and look more matte. It does not give you that matte but flat finish. It looks nice and glowy actually. Since I have eczema, sometimes when I spray it on, it stings my dry eczema patches a bit but that feeling subsides soon. The most problematic area on my face is my chin. All of my makeup separates so fast there and looks very patchy and weird. I have no idea why my chin acts this way but I always need a good primer and matte foundation to last through until the end of the day.
When I spray this on, it makes my chin makeup last a lot longer. Although sometimes when you look closely it seems to have a few tiny dots/patches wherever my makeup separates but this happens almost at the end of the day and does not look too prominent unless you look closely. The makeup on the rest of my face stays on so well and does not separate. My foundation always gets into my smile lines and even the Gerard setting spray cannot fix that. I think I will try baking around the mouth area next time and see how that goes.
Overall, I really like the Gerard Cosmetics setting spray. I have not had many others so I cannot exactly compare it with the other cult favourites like the Urban Decay All nighter etc. The only other setting spray I have tried was my MUA and that was absolutely horrible. If you sprayed that on and did not have waterproof eyeliner or mascara, consider it completely smudged. Compared to that the Gerard one performed a lot better and I think for the price that I got this, it’s not a bad deal at all.
Shipping to India is quick and you can get free shipping over $50
