With the Justice League out I thought Iâ€d take a look at how it has been received by the critics and how it compares to the other DC and Marvel movies that have come out lately. Also since Iâ€m a huge fan of the Christopher Nolan Batman movies I thought Iâ€d also throw those in for comparison purposes. As of November 27th 2017, here are their Rotten Tomato scores.
Justice League, as with many other DC movies, has a watchable audience score while receiving a pretty poor rating from critics. If you look at the Marvel Movies in comparison, you see a different story:
So why the big difference? With the exception of the Wonder Woman, Why have DC movies received such poor critic scores compared to Marvel Movies lately? I think a lot has to do with the fact that superhero movies come out so regularly now so itâ€s no longer a sure thing that everyone will go see and likely love the ‘new summer blockbuster superhero movie†since we now have many that come out each year. Iâ€m in no way complaining, but I would say that DC needs to step up their game and spend more time with plot/character development and less time landing big actors/actresses.
The return of Superman to the Justice League is something every fan of the series is looking forward to but has a merchandising error just spoiled the manner in which we see his return?
SuperHeroStuff.com lists a “Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat” by New Era and their product description may reveal a little too much.
*SPOILER ALERT* If you don’t want to know anything further you should probably quit here. Â The official description reads as follows:
“Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Supermanâ€s costume post-death: A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.”
Not much left to the imagination with that one. Questions still arise as to who may have placed The Man Of Steel into the Kryptonian chamber as well as the nature of his return. But one question seems to have been definitely answered. Â Superman is back.
The likelihood of there being a second season to Inhumans is very slim. Â The chances that there will be a season three is somewhere up there with Heath Ledger staring in another film as the Joker.
But for some reason Inhumans show creator Scott Buck says he has no plans to allow the show to only air one season and then fade off into the sunset.
If the critics are right and the fanbase has anything to say about it Scott Buck isn’t going to get his wish.
Buck is the same guy that placed his creative touch on the Netflix flatliner Iron Fist and now has seemingly done the same with Inhumans. Â Despite his flailing reputation he still has plans for two more seasons and claims to know exactly where he wants to take the story.
Hopefully it’s to a paper shredder but stranger things have happened. Â Who knows? Â Maybe there will be a second season for Inhumans. Â And then we can all gather together and laugh at that one too.
