I love a good wreath. They are fun to make and usually don't take very long from start to finish. It's always nice to have something pretty on the door to welcome your visitors. As you are freshening up your house for spring weather, don't forget your door decor!

Do you do anything with your family to celebrate St. Patrick’s?  My dad is part Irish and I remember growing up being subjected to corned beef and cabbage which I thought was the worst way to celebrate a perfectly good holiday.  Now that I am older I would probably appreciate that meal.  If you need {...Read More...}

Back in November I made these adorable little mini ruffled wreaths.  I absolutely have fallen in love with them.  I love the texture it added to the chalkboard that I update with a new message for each holiday or event.  I decided to make a Valentine’s Day trio of the mini ruffle wreaths with scraps of pink, red and white fabric in my stash.

I found these adorable tall skinny bags that are perfect for M&M’s or Reese’s pieces.  They are so cute filled with a little treat bag topper for an event like a baby shower, wedding shower, birthday, Valentine’s Day party, etc.  I brought the Thanksgiving Reese’s pieces treat bag toppers to our turkey day gathering with family and they were a hit.  I decided to replicate the cuteness for Valentine’s Day.

If you've been a reader for very long, you know I have a thing for pillows. Being able to switch out the pillows on my couches and chairs to add a different color or a touch of holiday decor is one of my favorite decorating strategies. Pillow covers that can be removed are incredibly easy to store; they don't take up much room, and they can simply be folded into a bin or basket when no in use. The bulkier pillows live on my couches, and it's easy to switch covers according to changing seasons or my tastes. It's almost as easy to make pillow covers--not quite, but almost--and you can definitely have a lot of fun embellishing them. Enjoy these 5 Ways to Make a Pillow for Valentine's Day!
