I have been extremely busy lately, just reinstating that, if you haven’t been able to tell by my absence everywhere on social media, already. But, I will try my best to keep posting regularly from now on. And I found this one product, which perfectly fit into my crazy busy routine! Let me tell you about it!

Now with my travelling, the worst sufferers are my hair and skin! For skin I can still carry a few things along, while travelling! But what about my hair!? I found the solution to just that!

With meetings, trains and planes to catch and resting a bit, you barely get time to oil your hair, let alone oil hair overnight and wash your hair multiple times! But with this particular product, Parachute Advansed Coconut Crème oil, all you need is 30 minutes and just one wash, to get all the goodness of oiling!

No matter what, we Indians have a special place in our hearts when it comes to oiling with coconut oil, but let’s face it, it can be a bit tricky at times to oil your hair with a busy schedule. But you don’t have to face any of it with this super-efficient product!
Parachute Advansed has always been my go to brand for coconut oil, and it is delightful to see the brand evolve the way we are and our lives are evolving.

So here is how it went.

I knew that a surprise was coming my way and it turned out to be a hair product with instruction on how to use it. And I used this for a week. Honestly, I loved how easy it was to use and wash off. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I am super happy about how effective and easy to use this product is! And, to my delight it does actually work like a good dosage of coconut oil would, and it washes off with just one wash. You do need 5-6 pumps of product for medium length hair and for me around 4 was fine.

The product can be used throughout the length of the hair and on the scalp, just like hair oil! It gives your hair a wet look, without feeling heavy or sticky! It also smells nice, the fragrance lingers for about 5-10 minutes and then fades away. I personally like products without any fragrance, but that’s just my personal preference.

When I was sent the actual package, my sentiments were like I said previously. It felt good to see the brand I like evolving and coming out with products to suit my lifestyle!
As far as the packaging goes, I love the pump packaging, perfect for the traveler, which I am! The price is very reasonable too, proving the point that anything convenient doesn’t need to be priced like a fancy product!

Honestly, after knowing the product, I have used it more and I have honestly loved it!
I would totally recommend the Parachute Advansed Coconut Crème oil for you girls and guys, who have a super busy schedule or do not like the sticky feeling of coconut oil.

Have you tried this?? Let me know what you think about this!

Loads of love,
Priyanjana

If you’re looking for a country full of diversity, excitement and natural wonder, there’s nowhere else in the world that surpasses the USA. But instead of sticking to the norm, why not escape to the city’s lesser-travelled regions? Here are just some of the ways to see the USA differently on your travels.

Road tripping Route 66

It’s a road trip unlike any other – Route 66, also known as the “Mother Road”, is perhaps the most cherished thing in the entirety of the States. The near-4,000km long road runs from Chicago to Santa Monica, passing through seven states on the way.

You’ll be seeing some weird and wonderful sights on your journey, too. From the infamous Lou Mitchell’s diner in Chicago as you begin your trip, to the Santa Monica Pier where Route 66 ends, you’ll find incredible installations and attractions along the way – be sure to stop at the Kan-o-Tex service station in Dallas to see Tow Tater, the inspiration for the Disney/Pixar movie Cars.

Visiting Disneyland in California

You’ll be foolish to miss out on a trip to Disneyland – even just for a day. There’s a reason it’s so popular with tourists from far and wide, and that’s because they’re truly magic regardless of your age. As soon as you see the castle, the centrepiece of the parks, you’ll be helplessly overcome.

People often flock to Florida’s Walt Disney World, what with the Magic Kingdom and the technological wonders of Epcot amongst much more – but California’s Disneyland was the first to open, therefore having that historic edge. Visit here to ride the iconic California Screamin’ coaster before it closes next year – it’s a staple of American culture to this day.

Escape to the beaches

There’s simply no denying the beaches in the USA are to die for. From the luxury of the secluded Florida Keys to the popular Pacific shores in Los Angeles, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to potential beach holidays. For the former, ride the Overseas Highway across the archipelagoto discover some beautiful beaches dotted in the turquoise seas.

In Los Angeles, however, the beaches are more populous – understandable, considering just how desirable they are. From Venice Beach to Zuma in Malibu, it won’t be a challenge discovering a beautiful stretch of sand to frolic upon.

Do a city break in Chicago

Whether it’s the bright lights of New York City, the dazzling glamour and hedonistic parties of Las Vegas or the famed Hollywood and the surrounding LA boroughs, the USA boasts plenty of cities ready to give you the city break of a lifetime. But Chicago is wildly underrated by tourists from overseas despite its sheer abundance of things to do and see.

Food is absolutely one of Chicago’s greatest exports, with the delicious deep-dish pizza being perhaps the city’s most famous meal. The debate rages on as to whether it’s a pizza or a pie, but regardless it’s one of the tastiest things you’ll ever eat.

Elsewhere, the Willis Tower’s Skydeck has a glass floor for you to brave for unparalleled views of the city below, Wrigley Field is the place to go for any sports fans, and the Lincoln Park Zoo is perfect for a cheap day out—you don’t have to pay a dollar to go in.

Ride the California Zephyr

In a similar vein to Route 66, this train travels from San Francisco to Chicago – but you don’t have to worry about driving. The California Zephyr is a train ride unlike any other, taking you through some of the most scenic parts of the country including the snowy regions of Colorado, the desert plains of Utah and the small-town surroundings of Nevada to name just a few.

It isn’t exactly luxury, but that means you’ll be saving a lot of money and seeing a whole lot of the USA while you do it. There’s no denying the Zephyr is a culturally important part of the country, being frequented by locals and tourists alike – don’t miss out on this historic attraction.

Tell me what the one topic of discussion is, all of us Indians get very excited about! Food! Yes, Obviously!
And what is the first food item that comes to your mind, which has been the topic of heated debates amongst friends and families and also has resulted in some broken friendships! Okay so here goes a hint– This dish is made up of many spices {invariably}, rice and a flavoring meat and has multiple variants across India.

I think you can guess it now! BIRIYANI! Yes, I am talking about the food that divides the country with a snap of a finger, but also brings them together, such is the love for Biryani amongst Indians. But then there is one more food item, a quick snack, which all Indians unanimously love! Instant Noodles!
Cause it is super quick to make and delicious and can be had anywhere! Unlike, Biryani. But, if I can tell you that you can make biryani within a few minutes, and satisfy your biryani craving anytime and also have your favorite instant noodles, all at the same time, how awesome would it be!

And it actually can happen now! All thanks to Biryaneez Biryani Noodles!
It is super easy to make, duh! Has 14 authentic spices which makes it stay true to its biryani flavours and it doesn’t really compromise on the flavor on any variant.
Now one might think that with so many spices and this being an instant noodle, the spices might not be cooked properly in the end. These guys have taken care of the same and you will not feel anything like that.

Now making this is super easy. I know most of you would know how to, but let me share once. Don’t make it a soupy noodle, it will lose out on the biryani touch. So to make it work, first boil water in a pan. Then add the noodles, if you feel the water is more, drain it slightly or do it the reverse way. Add water later on, if required.
Add the masala, right after the noodles are in the water. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes and your job will be done! And you will be ready to eat some satisfying, quintessential Indian food.

Now the one I am talking about is a chicken flavor, so all the vegetarians might miss out. But in my defense, there isn’t anything such as a “vegetarian biryani”. Let me know your views about this in the comments guys.

I hope you will give this product a try and let me know. Do share with your friends about this as well. Because after all, {if you don’t cook elaborate dishes} you will be able to say that you have cooked biryani for your meal {wink}, with almost 1/10 th of the effort!

So sit back, and enjoy this anytime biryani noodles at your home, hostel, office or  anywhere you want to just because you can, thanks to Biryaneez Biryani Noodles!
I would love to know if you have tried this unique product, I personally liked it! It is a perfect fusion food. You can also buy these noodles online from Big Basket . Since the product is new in the market and is tasty, it's already running out of stock! So hurry up and get yours today!

Hey Guys! I have been regularly visiting Phoenix Market city for their festivals and honestly, I am loving these festivals!

Today I am sharing about their recent fest, which was perfect for this beautiful Bangalore weather! The three day festival of good food, music and beer went on from 25th of May to 27th of May!

BrewBQ Festival 2018 was a perfect spot for Bengaluru party lovers.  The top of the line food festival combined with some of the most loved brews and music from the ever-popular bands and DJs made it a weekend to remember for the revelers of the Garden City.

The three-day long extravaganza offered lip smacking live barbecue, variety of brews. Barbecue and cocktail making masterclass from renowned chefs and mixologists, scintillating live performances and foot-tapping dance music played by leading DJs.

The Bands performances at the end of the night is always what I look forward to, because with the energy of the performers and the crowd, the ambiance gets livid!

This time the finger licking food was from Shizusan, BarBar, Chilis, Harry's, Whitefield Social, Barley & Grapes, Cafe Noir, Smaaash, Taco Bell, California Pizza Kitchen, Noodle Bar, Copper Chimney, The Wok Shop, Burger King and Pizza hut.

And the electrifying performances were by Zehen, DJ Jasmeet, Vipul Khurana and Rohit Barker !

I enjoyed myself thoroughly, like always and I still want more! So looking forward to enjoying the next festival , along with a little bit of {inevitable} shopping!

Hey everybody!
Hope you have started to feel the effects of the Indian summer setting in. I sure have. Let's get to the focus of today, the April My Envy Box.

The cute , spring perfect designed box has all full sized products this time and let me tell you right away that I am super impressed! I have tried the products this time and will share mini reviews too. So let's get started.

Bella Voste Utli-matte lipstick -
The shade I received is a nice brown-nude pink shade. I have been wearing this almost every day since I received it, because it is very light on the lips and comfortable for day wear. Not a long wear, but I like it honestly.

The Nature's Co. Red wine sleeping face gel - I honestly got a bit jealous of my skin, which was getting a dosage of red wine every night! This gel is a bit thinner than a gel would be, smells good and spreads well.
But, I am yet to see any effects as such. So will keep you posted.

Elixir Acne Serum -
This has been a life saver guys! I have been facing very bad breakout on my cheek , since two weeks ago. And this has helped me control the acne. It really is helpful. Not miraculous, but quite helpful.

Miss Diva covergirl body mist -
I am usually not a fan of body mist. And I don't like the way this smells so this product, although full size was a bit of a problem for me. Might give this away.

Mom's therapy face pack in Midas touch -
This is the only product in this box that I haven't used. But this looks like a good face pack because of the details. Let me give it a try and let you all know.

Hope you got some idea about the beauty box and the products in it.

Loads of love,
Priyanjana

Hey everyone!
I have already done a video review of the April Spring fab bag on my facebook page. But, Like I promised there, I am also doing a blog post!

Let's get started and see what I received in my super cute Spring FabBag -

Mond'Sub collagen mask -
This under eye mask seems really interesting! And I need something to sooth my eyes with all the staring at the screen!

Nirvaana pure aloe vera gel in orange variant-
I have been using this since I received it. I absolutely love the fresh fragrance and how my skin responds to the product.

Manna Kadar lip locked priming lipstick in Guilt -
The shade is a true blue red! I have loved using their priming crayons, which is the reason why I chose this lipstick for my April FabBag.

Bliscent lip scrub in pineapple kiss -
I have too many lip scrubs at the moment. I really need to start using these. Pineapple flavor sounds interesting!

All in all, I think it's a nice bag. The contents are quite good this time, with the variety. Instead of the lipscrub i would have personally liked something else. But 4 full size products, for the price you pay! I'd say it's a steal!

Let me know what you think!
Love,
Priyanjana

The last post I did wherein I wrote something I loved, was a long time back! Really long! I think it’ll take me a few articles to really get back to that stage, but I will try nonetheless! Today, I will attempt conveying through pictures. I bring another one of the #MNSIndieProject posts to you, after months, literally!

This one is a bit close to my heart. I have mentioned many times that I have been brought up roaming across the country, because of my father’s job. But, I have always been a Bengali girl at heart, no matter where I stayed. I have always preferred luchi over puri, saree over salwar, Tant er sharee {Cotton saree} over Chiffons and my most favorite, Alta over Mehendi. Indian women dress up beautifully, and we don’t even leave our palms bare!

Henna covered palms and elaborate mehendi ceremonies have been romanticized enough in Bollywood movies and honestly, done to the death! Like almost everything these days! You pick out a simple thing, name it something fancy and it becomes a rage! Now coming to the day’s main focus, sustainable fashion, which has been again, done to death at this point.

Most designers price a simple outfit exorbitantly and people with money to spare jump on the bandwagon of “making conscious sartorial decisions”, without a single second of research. Now, I won’t blame anyone. Designers want to sell and people want to be cool! The worst part of it all is, that only few of these garments labeled as “Sustainable fashion garments” are actually made by following a proper production process and priced fairly. I am afraid that the trend has made this slow fashion movement, into another “Fast fashion” trend.

Also, this might be a new thing for the western world, but in a country where our previous generations have always preferred/worn cotton, grown organically, dyed with vegetable colors and indigo, this should be a huge rage. But, unfortunately it is!

But, there are actually ways to follow the slow fashion movement without breaking the bank and polluting the environment, after all it IS Eco-friendly fashion.

Borrow from your parents and grandparents. Wear their clothes, reuse!

Customize them if you want to! Pick an old saree or two, visit the tailor and turn them into dresses, shirts, skirts, anything you envision them to be!

Source cotton cloth from weavers; learn how to dye or get them dyed from someone who uses indigo or vegetable dyes. Get these tailored. Believe me, it feels so good!

The saree I am wearing here is sourced directly from a weaver, the embroidery {Kantha Stitch} done by an artisan after my Mother picked out the design. She has had this saree for years now and honestly I love wearing her sarees.

This particular saree is a Tangail saree. A commonly worn type of, Kantha stitch is another specialty of west Bengal. It started typically for re-purposing used clothes {Kudos for reusing and recycling to my older generations!}, and then Nakshi Kantha came to be, with motifs on clothes, for the purpose of design and decoration!

This photo series is a visualization of combining a few of the favorites I have as a Bengali girl. All decked up, and putting finishing touches with the Alta on my feet  while enjoying a little bit of the spring sun {Boshont er rod}. And I chose a Shaada- Laal paar {white with red borders} saree because we Bengali women have a special place for these sarees in our heart {not to stereotype}, not that we don’t love other colors or designs!

Hope you guys liked the story! Let me know what you think in the comments below!
