Progress without estrangement is a rare craft that very few bands truly master. All too often, a band ventures so far from its roots that it loses its trademark sound. And every so often, a band’s stagnation drains all of its charm. Finding that rare balance between the two is a huge task not easily accomplished. And yet there is a band that has been coming close to that perfect balance more and more over the course of the past few years. A band that, ironically, already bears that balance in its well-known name: EQUILIBRIUM.
Their latest, sixth record 'Renegades' (out: August 16th via Nuclear Blast) is heralding a watershed, the turn of an era for this genre. This is metal at its most epic and most monumental, bearing huge songs, resting firmly in the Zeitgeist with massive, modern production and sporting quite a number of eclectic influences. Above all, it’s still Equilibrium - quite possibly more than ever.
In support of this upcoming release, the band will tour Europe in early 2020 to present the new material to their fans! Direct support will come from German dark-rock band LORD OF THE LOST. Melodic death metallers NAILED TO OBSCURITY and newcomers OCEANS will be playing as the opening acts! Find all dates below!

UK based hard rockers In Search Of Sun have released their new video for In The Garden which will be their third video release under iconic record label, Spinefarm Records. The track comes from their 2017 album Virgin Funk Mother which boasts heavy riffs, funky grooves and huge choruses! Since signing to Spinefarm early last year, In Search of Sun have gone on to support Nothing More on the EU leg of their tour, legendary Korn frontman Jonathan Davis on his solo tour.
Check out their new video below:
In Search Of Sun - In The Garden - YouTube
“There are plenty of leeches in this world that have no other intentions but to suck the life out of you for their own selfish reasons, especially when they choose to not understand the importance of the ones closest to them striving to achieve something creative and worthwhile, which we all know takes years of mental, physical and financial sacrifice. ‘In The Garden’ is a massive ‘f##k you’ statement to every single self-absorbed individual out there unwilling to let the people closest to them grow and flourish. You, the narcissists are the ones who will wind up alone, because you choose to not have the capacity to unconditionally love others, and instead continue to believe that the whole world revolves around you. You should’ve known better!"- Adam Leader, Vocalist

Modern UK metal band Spreading The Disease start a new chapter with latest EP ‘Mindcell’ which was released via Rock Surgery Records.
Opener ‘Obsession’ is fierce yet melodic throughout, with a stand out chorus and immediately hooks you in and leaves you eager for more…
‘Voices’ starts with effective clean vocals before the brutality kicks. It is dynamic from start to finish with plenty of hard-hitting riffs and varied vocals which give it a frantic and intense feel, this is a must hear track.
‘The Anger Inside’ opens with alarming sirens and then goes on a full blown rampaging assault. This will certainly get your blood pumping and boiling, a good one to let loose too. Offering something a bit different, being the most melodic and optimistic track is ‘Waves’ which is ambient and serene yet progressive which seems fitting. Another well-rounded and vibrant track with intelligible riffs.
Final track ‘Conflicted’ opens with crunchy riffs and goes on to display fierce vocals and good nu metal vibes running through it, especially with fast frantic vocal parts and mixing synth effects. This is powerful fully charged closer with soaring guitar work to end on a memorable and striking note.
These new offerings are strong and possess a powerful sound which is fierce yet tuneful throughout making it one for the metal masses to enjoy and play loud, whilst addressing the important issue of mental health which it gets across in a highly effective way.

Polish extreme metal veterans VADER will be releasing a new EP titled 'Thy Messenger' on May 31st this year. Today, the band has revealed the lyric video for new track and digital single 'Grand Deceiver'. Check it out here: youtu.be/2a2zpFGUm-M
VADER - Grand Deceiver (OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO) - YouTube
The band states: "We are so excited to give you new Vader song from our fresh record! GRAND DECEIVER is the opening track on Thy Messenger EP and perfect explanation of what you all may expect with the upcoming releases. Sharp as razor and brutal as Hell track is just an appetizer before the new Vader album to come. Chris of Nuclear Blast created this brilliant lyric video, which you can watch while waiting for Thy Messenger. Sit comfortably, play it LOUD and…ENJOY!!!"
The release will contain four of the five songs that were recorded over a week-long period in January and February at Hertz Studio in Białystok, Poland under the supervision of the Wiesławski Brothers. The cover art was painted by Wes Benscoter, who previously worked with VADER on the De Profundis LP and has collaborated with such bands as Slayer, Kreator and Sinister. A new full VADER album will be recorded this year for a tentative autumn release.
The band commented: "We decided to record this EP because we knew that the full length new album won’t be released before the end of 2019. We’re back on the road in June and we plan to have some new tunes ready for our fans throughout the summer - before that we're due to start the recording process for the new VADER LP in April in England. For the time being we’ve named the album: "…And Then There Was Only Pain” and it should be completed by the end of May – when Thy Messenger EP is due to be released worldwide. The EP includes three new tracks - mostly really vicious and aggressive tracks, even for VADER. Emptiness' is more groovy in the main riff but really heavy at the end. All of the songs are fast and short, but pretty intense. We’ve also added a new version of our classic title track from Litany. It is 20 years since we recorded that album at the Red Studio. 'Litany' - as a song - and many more from that album have never been performed live. This album is still one of the fan favourites in the VADERdiscography and we will resurrect this whole record as part of our touring this autumn. Another bonus is the absolute classic cover of 'Steeler' which has always been one of my all time favorite PRIEST songs."
New Delhi based Indian Folk Metal band BLOODYWOOD has released the official music video for their newest single, "Machi Bhasad (Expect a Riot)."
Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad (Expect a Riot) - YouTube
"Originally created for the upcoming Ubisoft game "Beyond Good and Evil 2", Machi Bhasad is a track with a political message that celebrates the power of a new generation and its potential to be better than the last. Outside the context of the game, this song is intended as both a tribute and a call to action. It's a tribute to musicians and leaders who inspired people like ourselves to think and act in a way that'll benefit everyone. To question an unjust system that serves a few at the cost of the many. It's a call to action for our generation to finish the work started by all those who came before us. To Become the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back, and change the world for the better."
