As a blogger/digital influencer/entrepreneur, technology is a part of my daily life. I spend a significant amount of time working away at the mercy of a computer screen. I’m glued to it all – smart phone, tablet and computer for several hours a day. I know the importance of making sure that my eyes receive the proper care. Today on the blog I’m sharing 4 Tips For Caring For Your Eyes When Working At A Screen All Day.
Any glare on my computer screen is very problematic for my eyes, it interferes with my vision and causes so much eye strain. So you definitely want to prevent this, you need to ensure that your working environment is structured in such a way to prevent light from hitting your computer screen.
Ways to reduce or prevent glare include:
⦁ Positioning your computer away from sunlight and lighting that will cause the glare
⦁ Adjusting the brightness setting on your laptop/computer
⦁ Adding anti-glare film
Make Eyes Look Refreshed
Working on a computer screen non-stop can cause serious eye strain and headaches. When I’m backed up in emails or have a serious deadline I can be stuck at my computer for hours straight. This causes my eyes to turn red which can happen at least once a week. That’s where my LUMIFY redness reliever eye drops come in handy. This new and unique eye drop helps reduce redness so eyes appear whiter, brighter and more naturally radiant. They contain no bleach or dyes and work in 1 minute and last up to 8 hours! This is not something I use every day, but when I notice my eyes are red – LUMIFY is definitely my go to!
LUMIFY retails for $14.99 USD (2.5 mL bottle or 75 drops) and $25.99 USD (7.5 mL bottle or 225 drops) at major retailers and online. Individual results may vary. Use as directed.
This may not always be practical if you have a hectic job, but it’s important to try to take regular breaks from staring directly at a screen, to give your eyes a chance to rest and rehydrate.
Go for regular eye tests
Going for eye tests is essential to maintaining the health of your eyes, regardless of your age or other factors. However, if you find yourself using screen a lot, then you should consider going for checkups more regularly.
By implementing some of these simple techniques you will see a difference and help prevent eye strain when working at a screen all day. For more information about LUMIFY, visit their website: www.LumifyDrops.com.

Are you team high-low when it comes to maxi dresses? I definitely have my moments when I either love them or hate them; there’s no in-between. I guess it just depends on the style, color or occasion. To be honest I only wear plus size hi-low dresses during the summer and I love this style for weddings.
Last week I attended a beautiful wedding and this hi-low CityChic wrap dress was a hit. I just love the style and I’ve been obsessed with anything that wraps/ ties around my waist. This hi-low dress wasn’t bad at all, definitely a keeper.
In all Hi-Low dresses come in so many different styles. Some I definitely have to pass on but as you can see I have yet to completely write them off my style list.

Kids want a lot of stuff. We get used to them chanting “Can I have that??” Last week my 9yr old daughter caught me off guard by asking can she have a tattoo, I was reminded that I have 5 tattoos so I knew I had to play it cool! The tattoo talk with mini-me went a little something like this…..
I’m learning that when talking to your child about something that may make you sound like a hypocrite the best course of action is to put aside these your feelings and strive to open a dialog with your child. For me, this meant really figuring out her reasons for wanting a tattoo. This actually turned into a beautiful discussion which left her mind wondering not about tattoos but the meaning behind art. Of course, I’m her main reason for wanting a tattoo, she’s beginning to follow everything that I do.
These days, tattoos are increasingly common. There are even TV shows dedicated to the art of tattoos. They are particularly popular in young people; among Millennials. I guess you can say I’m a fan of tattoos after having few myself. My daughter is very aware of my tattoos and I’ve explained the meaning of each (even the one that I now dislike). This was only part one of the tattoo talks, assuming that mini-me will be showing me her own drawing for her further tattoo really soon lol…..
When searching my closet a couple weeks ago I noticed that I didn’t own any polo collared shirts (I must have donated all my old ones). Pretty weird right? While polo shirts definitely look nice on men, women indeed look pretty chic while wearing them too. After a quick Internet search, I came across this Tommy Hilfiger Plus Size Polo top that I just couldn’t pass it up.
When rocking a polo I like to keep everything simple. My go-to polo style — skinny jeans and slip-on sneakers. There really isn’t a huge variety of ways to style a polo shirt but as long as you keep it cute you can’t go wrong.
In all Polo shirts are an old classic look and can be worn in a number of different settings. They were originally designed as athletic wear, but can also be used for a regular day around town (like pictures) or they can be dressed up as a business casual look.
Please note Polo shirts are definitely back in fashion! Be sure to check out this style over this be Macy’s #MacysLove
