Testing out some risers for comparison. Borrowed an AXT and shot a few ends. The reaction feels great! I really like this riser, so I gave it back quickly before I can become too attached.

Vacation time is over! Spending time with family and friends was nice, but it’s time to get back to my routine! It’s been really quiet at the range these days without my coach being here, but also kind of peaceful. Lots of form work to do!

TMW you realize fatter shafts doesn’t fix much! For my Indoor setup, I’m playing around with Easton X7 Eclipse arrows. These are fun to shoot, but pretty critical of errors. So far my X10s are better on average, but I love the sound of a good “THUNK” from these arrows.

Visiting family and friends in Texas for a week. It feels good to be back at the ole archery range. It has only been a year since I moved to California, but it feels like so much longer than that! There really is nothing else like home. :)

“Off-season” means fixer upper time! Making tweaks here and there is challenging but it’s part of process. I wasn’t happy with my technique most of the season, but I’m determined to make some good technique progress!

DIY Shibuya Rest stickies! I know they’re only $4 per sticker from Lancaster Archery, but it’s more convenient to make them.

Duel in the Desert

This tournament was a great way to unwind from the USAT season and I had a ton of fun with my friends all weekend. Sometimes I really miss having good food and a relaxed atmosphere, and it feels great to get out and enjoy some of those things every once in a while!
