Which, as mentioned previously, is a reissue of Simplicity 4125. Which I had in stash already before buying the NL pattern. Grrrr.
This pattern has been super popular since it was released about a year ago. I really wanted to make it in my kelly green silk charmeuse last fall but never got around to it. I chose this chambray (likely from FM) which is fairly soft but I still think it's a bit too
I bought this burnout jersey late last summer and decided I had to save it to make it a 'summer tee'. It's a white, burnout, cotton jersey with blue stripes. I had 1.5 yards and then I decided I wanted to use *this* pattern. I thought it would be a tight fit but this top pattern is SUPER LONG. I removed 3 inches and now it's the length of a normal tee :-p View 120 in the mag uses the same base
I have concrete sewing plans for summer!
As I've mentioned before, I never do "RTW fasts" because I know I will find some cute thing I want or get in a rut of needing things and knowing I don't have time to sew it all. I found some fantastic tops at LOFT last week so I've tweaked my list. It's still SUPER large (haha!) but I've tried to make it a nice mix of things I've made before but still
& May Wrap Up! :-p
This month I sewed NL6314! LOL!!!! I sewed 1 yard of fabric. I purchased NO NEW FABRIC and 3 new patterns.
YTD Total yards IN: 28.75
YTD Total yards OUT: 24
New Look 6314 was made once before. Again, I had 1 yard of a well-liked piece of fabric and figured this pattern would be a great fit for this fabric and our mild early summer weather.
These ASOS jeans are about a
My doctor told me to sew! :-p
"Usually if it is an activity like sewing or cutting, it is a deconditioning problem. That just means it takes a while for the little muscles and tendons to get used to the level of activity that you were previously accustomed to. You are definitely welcome to get into some more formal therapy to try to speed this up, however, it usually happens as you keep trying
I moved almost a year ago. As it goes, I ended up with WAY more to pack than I thought I would, and ended up tossing a ton of fabric into two huge black lawn trash bags. And there they have sat.
Sigh. And yet I had piles of fabric EVERYWHERE.
I tend to use my Expedit for in-season fabrics, and keep a bin in my sewing room with "immediate" plans (plans as in, the things I think I'd like to sew

My contribution is about my sewing love, Burda magazine :) There's a Q&A and a walk through of how I prepare patterns. And apparently, there are still some issues available!
You can order the next issue, July/August, HERE. This link will also take you the subscription option (which I just subscribed today!

I posted this month's Pattern Roundup on the Curvy Sewing Collective blog the other day. There were SO many new patterns released, and I did NOT capture them all, so be sure to check back next month! As mentioned there, some of them are already in my stash!!
There were a few Big4 releases that had some decent items but that didn't move me much. Today, at my monthly sewing meetup group, I
Remember how I so desperately wanted to cut a bunch of stuff out before surgery? Because I knew I would be able to *sew* long before I'd be able to cut patterns and fabric. But I didn't get a chance to. I was able to sew up some Frankie panties. Took me a few days :) And I have a black pair ready to sew. I really wish I had cut that other Butterick 6621 out! I have an event next week that it'd
