The Jumbo Shrimp are celebrating Independence Day by wearing specialty patriotic jerseys. A special treat for fans that catch the game on July 3, sit back and relax as you and your family watches one of the largest fireworks displays in the city after the game! If your not a big sports fan but still want to be outside enjoying the July weather, you and your family should stop by Downtown’s First Wednesday Art Walk on July 3! Art Walk is a free event and a relaxing way to spend time with your family during the 4th of July week. You’ll also get the chance to meet local artists, buy their creations and becoming a part of the rapidly growing art & culture scene in Jacksonville. Details.

Just because Art Walk ends at 9 p.m. doesn’t mean the party is over. Stick around and experience the nightlife of #DTJax! Myth nightclub is hosting a Silent Disco featuring 5 different channels of music with over a dozen of the Regions best DJs.

Finally, the day everyone has been waiting for! A perfect way to end the night on the 4th of July is to watch the fireworks on the Downtown Riverfront.
The fireworks display can be seen from many locations along the Northbank and Southbank including the Riverside Arts Market, Hyatt Regency, DoubleTree Hotel, Lexington Hotel, Cowford Chophouse and more!

With a week to go, people are looking for the perfect place to celebrate and watch fireworks. If you want to enjoy a tasty meal while enjoying the best view of the St. Johns River, Cowford Chophouse is the place to be. They will have a special 4th of July menu, featuring patriotic cocktails and a delicious Kobe Beef Hot Dog of the Day dubbed the “Slaw Dog” with coleslaw, dill pickle and potato chips. Get there early because tables are first come first serve on the rooftop.
