Welcome to our classroom blog. Our blog is like a journal, a never ending account and record of all the exciting adventures we experience in Kindergarten. We are an enthusiastic group of people who care about each other and the world. We hope you enjoy reading, listening and watching what we do.
This morning we had an opportunity to share our global goal video to a group of juniors and seniors at CVU! It was fun to hear about all the amazing sustainability projects that the students were involved in. We had an opportunity to visit the outdoor classroom and even help plant milkweed plants for the pollination garden! Feeding the goats was a highlight!
Yesterday Patti Tursi, an ELL teacher, visited Kindergarten. We are collaborating with Mrs. Tursi in regards to the global goals. She is our director for our new movie we are creating. She helped us set up the stage, learn some new vocabulary about what we need to know and we are using a real microphone to capture our voices. We hope to have this project ready in a couple of weeks!
Today we looked at a map of the world and noticed that people on every continent except Antartica have received a SDG poster from a teacher in Maine. We are proud to be ambassadors for the global goals. We hope to continue to inspire others and share our ideas globally so others will join us.
This morning we had a Skype call with Jose from South America. He works on a Toucan Rescue Ranch. One of our families traveled there and that is why we were able to connect! Jose showed us different animals and why he is needing to take care of them at the ranch. We were able to see parrots and even baby sloths.
