Your Uranus in Taurus horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you as the next year unfolds. Please feel free to review these horoscopes as much as you need to over this time. As always, take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

Change sets us out on a trajectory that we cannot come back from. We are rearranged with every shift. Reconfigured with every brake. Reformulated with every awakening.

While the gods of nature are unarguably ceaseless in their demonstration of life’s perpetual process, up close those deities can be devastating. Change that feels too far from comfort can be hard to hold with perspective for us humans. Change often reminds us of a loss. A pain. A disappointment.

We never forget what happened the first time something changed and it wasn’t good.

We were left. We were hurt. We were forced to endure something unthinkable. We are given only the circumstances we are in. No explanation, rationale, or definitive course of action to take. No management up on high to take our complaints to. No court of Divine Law to take our case to. We must grapple with our grievances. Seek justice when and where we can. Source love from the wells we come from or are stumbled upon.

On Tuesday, May 15th at 4:48 AM PT, the new moon will occur at 24° of Taurus. In and of itself, a new moon in Taurus is a time to focus on the abundance of nature. Planting seeds of sweetness in the soil of our lives.

This new moon is a little different, however.

A few hours after the new moon, Uranus, Goddess of Change and Creative Chaos, enters the bull’s sign. The last time that Uranus entered Taurus was 1934. With an orbit of 84 years, this is the first time many of us will live through this energy, especially as adults.

Uranus changes, innovates, invents, breaks, and awakens. The first planet to be discovered with a telescope, Uranus broke the 4th wall of our cosmic consciousness revealing an entirely new dimension. For thousands of years we thought our solar system ended with the hefty rings of Saturn’s boundary. Uranus broke that limited thinking in 1781, when it was discovered by William Herschel. Laying on the other side of Saturn, Uranus’s axis differs from all other planetary bodies. Rotating almost entirely on its side, it is no wonder Uranus is known for having an impact of unconventionality. Uranus brings breakthroughs, demonstrated by the fact that its very discovery changed our understanding of our solar system, and what might lie beyond it.

Uranus in Taurus is an odd mix. Taurus is the most stabilizing of earth signs. The most grounded. Stubborn. Fecund. Fertility is never in shortage with this sign. Its fields are famous for yielding crops of incredible sustenance. A planet’s transit through these lands will always speak to the ways in which we work with them. How we build. How we grow. How we sustain. How we value the earth and its resources. The bull has been connected to wealth, currency, stock and trade for thousands of years. When a planet rolls through this sign, it teaches us something important about how we are relating to these exchanges.

Uranus’s time in Taurus speaks to innovations, changes, breakdowns and (hopefully) breakthroughs in banking systems, social security nets, land ownership/occupations, and how we work with the resources of this glorious earth we are so fortunate to inhabit. Taurus wants secure sources of prosperity on reserve, but consistency is not Uranus’s game. Here, Uranus seeks to flip the script on the status quo, but we mustn’t mistake change for progress when it isn’t. We mustn’t mistake what is shocking for what is innovative, what is disruptive for what is revolutionary, what is extreme for what is just.

Some men may be trying to outdo each other with fancy trips to Mars, but let us not be distracted from our job here on earth. Let us be endlessly interested in finding ways to live on this changing planet, this beloved space rock that birthed us, with greater appreciation, cooperation, and curiosity for how to take care of it and ourselves.

Uranus’s Impact

Transits from Uranus often come in loud, leaving many cowering from its sheer volume and velocity. Uranus transits chip away at our calcified exteriors, grinding our defenses down to dust. Revealing our ego’s tricks and tired antics.

Along the path of change we must part with our small, sometimes petty, outlooks so that we might meet broader aspects of ourselves and our lives. New knowledge we didn’t know we possessed. New talents that were latent within. Uranus reveals deep reserves of energy to draw from. When recycled, the wreckage of our lives makes for incredibly potent fuel. In order to access it, however, we have to confront our apathy. Our stifled rage. Our bound up desires. Our fears of being a failure and a success.

These are mighty foes. Uranus can bring about harrowing events, but only in confronting the fears that they reveal can we take our power back.

Uranus Through The Ages

Uranus, like all planets in our solar system is always moving. When we speak about our personal astrology, or our astrological chart, we are talking about a snapshot of the sky that is taken at our birth. A snapshot that never changes, shifts, or alters.

Below I go through a series of transits from Uranus. That is to say, I am speaking about transiting Uranus, Uranus in the sky right now, in relationship with where Uranus was when you were born, your natal Uranus, the Uranus in your chart.

Transiting Uranus will make an aspect to our natal Uranus around the ages of 14, 21, 28, 42, 56, 64, 70, and 84. Each transit is completely unique in nature, but all have to do with a personal innovation, change, and awakening.

Uranus will also make aspects to the planets and points in your chart, but those are specific to you. The transits mentioned here are part of astrological life-cycles. We all go through them no matter the specifics of our chart. However if you have any planets or points between 28°-29° of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, or any planets or points between 0°-2° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius, you will be experiencing a major Uranus transit over the next year which will result in unexpected changes, innovations, upheavals, experimentations, and awakenings in the areas of your life that Uranus is impacting (see your horoscopes for more information or join me for A Worksop for the New Moon in Taurus where I go into great detail about Uranus in Taurus).

The following is a list of Uranus transits that folks will be going through from the spring of 2018 to the spring of 2019. However, you can use the general ages I mention to look back on your life, and possibly forward, to get a sense of how Uranus impacts certain parts of our lifecycle.  I’ve noted the ages at which major Saturn cycles align with Uranus cycles. Later in life they still occur close together, but not at the same time. Saturn represents structure, tradition, limits, and boundaries. Uranus is untraditional, experimental, and boundary-breaking. Thus the times mentioned hold the tension of needing to address both aspects of self and life.

Those in their mid teens, between 13-15 years old, that were born with Uranus between 28° of Aquarius and 2° of Pisces are experiencing their opening Uranus sextile Uranus. This is the first major aspect that Uranus makes to itself. It is a transit that inspires our strange, helps us to make contact with our weird, and encourages our rebelliousness. As our bodies become their own hormonal experimentations, we are astrologically encouraged to go our own way, try new things, and envision who we might become given the right to freely express ourselves. It is, of course, an age filled to the brim with Uranus-themed revolts. We sneak out. We scheme about how to get the attention of a cute person. We seek attention through disruptive behavior. We are embodying the complexities of changing and having no idea what we will eventually become. This happens around the same time as our first Saturn opposition, a time when our issues, complaints and stand-offs with the authority figures in our lives become very pronounced.

Those around 20-22 that were born with Uranus between 28° of Capricorn and 2° of Aquarius are going through their Uranus square Uranus. At the time when teenage-hood spits us out, we are suddenly stumbling through some sort of beginning adulthood. Squares are linked to a crisis, a call from deep within to take action but, without much time in the saddle, understanding which action to take is hard to decipher. We must upset tradition. We must cause a scene. We must find our way through the rocky and unexpected beginnings of being on our own. This occurs at the same time as our closing Saturn square Saturn, the major aspect that precedes the Saturn return. Saturn is also creating a condition for further release of the childhood conditions we need to grapple with in order to move towards adulthood.

Those between 27-30, born with Uranus between 28° of Sagittarius and 2° of Capricorn, are in their Uranus Trine Uranus. This is a transit that occurs at the same time as our Saturn return. Uranus teaches us to break with the traditions that inhibit us as Saturn demands we face the realities of adulthood. Uranus trine Uranus makes it easier for us to move in our own direction, meaning, if we didn’t have that transit our Saturn return might be even harder.

Imagine.

Those between 42-44 with Uranus between 28° of Libra and 2° of Scorpio are working through their Uranus opposition. This is akin to a mid-life crisis. Shaken to the core, the Uranus opposition can derail us if we are on a life path that is anything but authentic. This transit is usually a kind of rude awakening. One that points directly to our core issues and patterns. One that breaks up the oldest of our issues and asks us to get free or get old without having truly lived. Around this time the second Saturn opposition occurs, detailing the lengths, successes, and pitfalls we’ve managed our way through since our Saturn return.

Those between 55-57 with Uranus between 28° of Leo and 2° of Virgo are going through their closing Uranus trine. I say closing because the planet has passed the point of its opposition, and much like a full moon shedding its light, the second Uranus trine of our lives give us more to work with. We might even say that much like the disseminating moon phase, the second Uranus trine is a time of sharing what it is we have learned about caring less and getting even more free with our lives, creativity and selves.

Those between 63-65 with Uranus between 28° of Cancer and 2° of Leo are going through their Uranus last quarter square. This is an aspect that causes friction, much like we felt when we were in our early 20’s, but this time much of our creative ambitions have been lived out and, if they haven’t, this transit will be that much more uncomfortable, calling us to break with what limits us and move confidently towards living out our life purpose.

Those between 69-71 with Uranus between 28° of Gemini and 2° of Cancer are going through their closing Uranus sextile Uranus. Much like the sextile that occurs in our early teen life, this transit reminds us, in a sweeter, more subtle way of the aspects of ourselves that are irrepressible. Let no ageism slow us down. We must keep rebelling, this time with more skill and deftness than we did as teenagers. These gifts should not be wasted and there is no longer eons of time left for us to put them to good use.

Those between 83-85 will be experiencing their Uranus return. Since Uranus is also the Goddess of No Fs Left to Give, folks experiencing this later in life transit are encouraged to abandon themselves to their unique nature. All eccentricities are magnified under this planet’s presence, and those that live well into the 8th decade of their life should feel free to express their own, fully and without restraint.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

Uranus has spent the last 7 years in Aries. A 7-year itch of epic proportions, Uranus reinvented much about the ways in which you lived your life. Whether you have Aries sun, rising, or both, Uranus has been challenging the way that you view yourself. Changing the way that you understand your personal impact. Encouraging you to develop a more nuanced understanding of what to do with your energy.

Uranus has been working on you to become more authentic no matter the price. The result being that you are more likely less dependent on conventional securities than you were 7 years ago.

Your worth is not dependent on having achieved traditionally age-appropriate milestones. You have had a different destiny to carve out for yourself. You have had to traverse the unknown. Channel the unconventional. Cease to judge yourself on what didn’t get built and instead value what did get discovered.

Now it’s time to understand your assets in the same way. With Uranus entering Taurus and your 2nd house of money, assets, and energetic reserves, you are being introduced to a whole new aspect of your work. The astrology is asking you to reorient your thinking about what is possible in your financial life. It’s asking you to open up to new ways of working. New jobs. New investments. New possibilities for putting the talents you were born with to work.

Consider how you might be limiting your ability to cultivate finances by holding on too tightly to old ways of supporting yourself. What ideas about your financial or work life are outdated? Which are tied too tightly to older versions of yourself, your worth, or your talents? What resources do you need to free up? What talent needs to be reconfigured to work more effectively in the modern world?

Uranus will spend 6 months (May 15th – November 6th of 2018) in this area of your chart. It will then retrograde back into Aries for 5 months (November 6th 2018 – March 6th 2019), finishing up your personal revolution before it heads back into Taurus until 2026. For the next 10 months you will be asked to bridge the gap between your personal awakenings and your professional ones. This astrology is calling for a change in how you make your living and, as you do, it is reminding you that unless it feels like freedom, it isn’t really revolutionary.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

Uranus has spent the last 7 years in the background of your chart. Revolutionizing the way you heal. Reminding you that treasures buried deep are often guarded by the deadliest of demons. You have had to explore not only the depths of your psyche, mining the core of your issues for keys to their dissolution, but you have had to develop the courage necessary to take on such a task.

Come May 15th, Uranus takes you on a new adventure. One more obvious and less obscure. One that demands you get open and honest with yourself and the world you come into contact with everyday.

This is no time to hide your strange. This is no time to deny your unconventional yearnings. This is no time to pretend that you fit into spaces that you obviously want to, need to and can break out of. Your sign is known for its stabilizing talents. It is known for its dedication. For its ability to sit through the worst movies, situations, and surroundings due to its original commitment to a thing.

You’re going to have to get good with leaving when it’s your time to.

You’re going to have to get used to not being able to solve a situation by the sheer force of your desire to. You’re going to have to get attuned to your cravings for the unusual, cravings that are leading you towards the breakthroughs you are bound for.

In your sign, Uranus will reveal to you the power of allowing your identity to be innovated. Updated. Understanding in greater depth what facades you have to create in order to survive, Uranus wonders what life would be like with less restriction on your self-expression.

Uranus will spend 6 months (May 15th – November 6th of 2018) in your sign. It will then retrograde back into Aries for 5 months (November 6th 2018 – March 6th 2019), finishing up the inner revolution it started 7 years ago. Once it heads back into Taurus, you’ll be working through your outer updates until 2026.

For the next 10 months you will be asked to bridge the gap between the healing that has occurred on the deepest of levels and the new ways in which you share yourself as a result. Welcome the personal revolution occurring. You’ve needed to keep a certain amount under wraps until now, but the time has come for an unveiling of your most luminous eccentricities, your most unconventional talents, and your most unruly desires.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

Whether or not we feel a sense of belonging to the family that raised us, we all are charged with the task of finding families of friends. Groups of extended platonic relations. Gatherings that help us to get to the heart of what it is we most wish to create here on earth.

You are ending, but not quite through, a 7 year transit that has and is teaching you much about the ups and downs of being a part of, and apart from, community. Being insincere about our affinities for others is no use to us or our fellows. The last 7 years have most likely taught you a lot about how to navigate many changes regarding which groups you are attracted to and why. It’s OK to outgrow a group dynamic. It’s OK to be the odd one out. It has hopefully been a time where you’ve cultivated quality weirdos to bound and build with. Quantity is challenging when corralling unique humans, so don’t feel a way about having lost interest with larger group situations. It’s more important that you have sought out those that inspire your own uniqueness to come forward rather than staying with folks that don’t quite fit you out of fear of being alone.

Uranus is now moving into your 12th house of hidden life, and the creative energy that is held captive by your un-grieved ghosts. During Uranus’s transit through Taurus you will be asked to learn about new aspects of your healing. Uranus is encouraging you to become an expert at getting out of your own way. This transit is a master class on how you limit yourself through sneaky self-sabotage. How you feed old sorrows instead of encouraging your appetite for your current success. How you leak energy to the past instead of investing in your present.

This is a time of intense, evocative, and extreme internal liberation.

The thing to remember is that once made conscious, any unhelpful behavior begins to lose its power over us. Once made conscious, we regain an important energetic boon that our unconscious behavior was robbing us of. Once made conscious, unfulfilling unconscious behaviors reveal themselves to be far less of an interesting option than they were before.

Healing has a chance to happen naturally once we have shone the light of consciousness into the forgotten wounds of our inner world.

Uranus will spend 6 months (May 15th – November 6th of 2018) in your 12th house. It will then retrograde back into Aries for 5 months (November 6th 2018 – March 6th 2019), finishing up its work within your social spheres before it heads back into Taurus until 2026, helping you to breakthrough the psychic clutter that clouds your conscious awareness. For the next 10 months, you will be asked to bridge the gap between these two spheres of life reminding you that true liberation requires that we spend time on our personal healing so that we can show up for our collective evolution.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

Over the past 7 years, Uranus has awoken you to the limitless nature of your creative ambitions. Whatever you have been able to reinvent in your professional life has helped to liberate you from any false notions of your capacity as a powerful contributor to your field. Whatever you have helped to innovate, invent, and bring forth to your profession will be remarked upon, and most likely referred back to, for the rest of your professional days. Whatever risks, wild cards, and revolts you have taken advantage of over the past 7 years should have helped you work through your fears of failure. Not that you didn’t experience any failures, but that you came to realize how important it is to move through feelings that come up each time you push past an unhelpful barrier. No longer do you need to feel like you are limited by your past. Whatever has scared you silly, while supplying you with eventual rewards, will keep gifting your professional projects for decades to come.

Now, as Uranus enters Taurus and your 11th house, it brings you important truths about your connections, and the communities,..

The waves that the Scorpio full moon on April 29th beckoned keep crashing upon our shores throughout the first week of May.

Tides turn when they are good and ready to.

With no major aspects until May 6th we are free to feel the more subtle stirrings of our psyche. Much within was turned over and tuned into with the swell and release of Luna’s light, so go easy with your heart, its workings, and its yearnings.

May 6th

Sun in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces, both at 16°

After a week of the moon’s meanderings being the only astrology to tap into, today’s sun sextile Neptune is a subtle but sweet situation that ties together the material and imaginal. Use the energy of this day to bring even the smallest aspect of your dream into reality.

May 7th

Mercury in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°

Venus in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces, both at 16°

As Mercury moves through the last couple degrees of Aries, finally leaving the sign it spent its last retrograde reversing through, it hits the bumpiest of terrain. From now until May13th, Mercury works out some major issues. Today’s square to Pluto pulls from the depths the issues we most need to consciously address. Mercury is no stranger to the underworld and this transit shines a light on the more therapeutic aspects of its nature. This astrology will not let us merely skim the surface. We cannot be too busy to dive deep. Today, and for the rest of the week, conversations are in need of something a little more raw, real, and investigative. Power dynamics get exposed, unpacked, and processed if we are willing to work with this energy.

Venus also finds itself in a sticky situation, though it’s a little more nuanced and a little less obvious, or easy to decipher. Relationship boundaries may get a little muddied, making us more prone to misunderstanding the dynamics between ourselves and others.

May 8th

Sun in Taurus opposes Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 18°

From today to May 11th, the sun is in good standing. The patch of sky it wanders through is prime real estate, though prone to inflation. The sun and Jupiter are natural besties. Both boast a royal kind of flare and together they can produce an overflow of confidence, certainty, and swagger. Helpful in many situations, obnoxious in others, the sun’s opposition to Jupiter can encourage us to indulge in excess. Around this time life’s pleasures and possibilities may feel too good to pass up. Some will be and some won’t be, the weighing of which is up to each of us.

May 11th

Sun in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°

Today’s astrology taps us into a powerful combination. The sun in Taurus wants to cultivate what it can with what it has. The trine to Pluto plugs us into reserves of power that we often forget we have. Together they remind us that our capacity to build lives worth living has little to do with anything that lies outside us. This astrology drops our awareness towards what is unshakeable, and undeniably ours to work with: our own resolve to make use of what we have in the most meaningful way we can.

May 12th

Mercury in Aries square Mars in Capricorn, both at 28°

Today and tomorrow sees Mercury’s last chapter in Aries unfold. This is the second time Mercury has made a square to Mars while in Aries. The first time was April 4th, while Mercury was still retrograde. This square is still pointed, sharp, and uncomfortable to work through, but it’s tied to a deeper theme of difficulty and the determination to work through it. Whatever this spring has been pressuring you to work through, this transit will most likely be a reminder, and hopefully a resolution of it. Look to the house in your chart that contains Aries for the themes that Mercury has been activating, aggravating, and encouraging you to face.

May 13th

Mercury conjunct Uranus at 29° of Aries

Mercury enters Taurus

As Mercury leaves Aries it makes one last move. Conjunct Uranus, Mercury delivers some information that is shocking, upsetting, or revolutionary to the system. This kind of astrology brings with it unusual and unexpected messages for us to unpack. Mercury then moves into Taurus. In a new sign for the first time in many weeks, Mercury breaks new ground.

But it is not the only planet moving from Aries to Taurus.

Two days from now, on the same day as the new moon in Taurus, Uranus, planet of turbulent awakening, will also move into the bull’s fields. For the first time since the early 1940s, Uranus in Taurus will change how we tend to our crops.  Disrupting the ways in which we work with our resources, and pulling currencies of all kinds into focus, how we use what we use will undergo a crucial revolution. The next set of horoscopes, as well as the next new moon course will dive deeply into what this transit will mean for us, both collectively and personally.

*Your full moon horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

Aries & Aries Rising

Imagine having as much faith that you’ll receive exactly what you need in life as you do in the rising and setting of the sun. Being as assured of your life-long fulfillment as you are of the moon’s monthly blossoming. Being as in awe of the cycles of decay and deliverance of your life as you are of the seasons themselves. Being as tuned into what you need to give and receive as pollen is to the bees it beckons.

Perhaps an unattainable permanent state, it’s one worth visiting as frequently as we can. The astrology of the moment is asking you to inhabit an unrelenting trust that what is yours will arrive at the perfect time, and what isn’t yours isn’t worth worrying about.

The recent full moon in Scorpio highlighted this dynamic which may have brought your faith in your process to light, or your anxiety about it to the fore. Either way, the first week of May reverberates with the messages that the moon most explicitly unpacked for you. You may feel like it took more than it gave, but know that the room it created will be put to good use. As the sun’s journey through Taurus shines a light on financial growth, it makes clear that this is a time to take your talents and assets into new realms of your work.

Whatever you are learning to accept more openly about yourself will be more readily available for you to work with in the rest of your life. The second week of May is filled with important, and potentially stressed conversations for you to have, but each one brings you to a new understanding of your right to your own way of working. Get clear on that and you’ll gain access to the wealth of creative energy that is open to you when you care more about what the truth is than what others will think of you when you adhere to it.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

With so much rising up from the depths to your shores, the first two weeks of May are filled with the fresh air of expectation.

The recent full moon in Scorpio focused its light on your most important partnerships. It peered into the crevices of your heart, revealing the hopes and fears that linger in-between you and others. Whoever in your life is able to stay open to and through the ups and downs of your mutual path will be a major point of access for your personal prosperity. The growth that your partners undergo right now activates your ability to push past places where you’d usually stay stuck. It’s a positive feedback loop as long as the trajectory aligns you with your own goals.

Whichever relationships aren’t up to this task, or are too tethered to the past, are quickly outgrown. There is no shame in this game, just be as honest with yourself as you can be about who you need to invest in, and whom you need to divest from.

The second week of the month balances out this outward growth with an inward excavation of some old fears and unhelpful habits. While you are feeling the pull to do you differently, you are also asked to untie some complicated psychic knots instilled in you long ago. Twisted up in them is a healthy reserve of creative juice. Once you get to it, revelations come as easily as any good psychedelic trip. See these difficult places as riddles to work through rather than permanent states of being to succumb to. Staying curious is always a win, especially if the game seems staked against you.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

The recent full moon in Scorpio highlighted the growth that you have made over the past 6 months in regards to your work-life, routines, and your relationship to what makes you feel alive and attuned to your physical self. The full moon was reminding you that there is no getting any of these things in your life right, there is just a constant need to support and sort through the work that won’t do itself.

The raw truth of what your professional situation needs from you is more important to your overall success than pushing any kind of agenda forward. Your connection to your body and ability to give it what it is calling for is the key to experiencing any joy in it.

Take care of your vehicle.

As Taurus Season rolls out it calls for you to make healing, creating, and investigating your psychological and physical needs a top priority. It may feel imperative for you to have time away from certain situations, relationships, or community events in the coming weeks. Your energy might need quieter arenas to work in for the moment. This is a powerful time to connect with the creative ideas that have had to wait for your undivided attention. Allow yourself time in the darkrooms, studios, and imaginal realms that inspire you. You might find that as you allow yourself the ability to experiment and work in new ways, some unexpected healing happens.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

The full moon in Scorpio reverberates throughout the first week of May. Its intense luminescence highlights the creative growth that you have undergone over the past 6 months. The projects that you’ve brought to fruition. The issues that you’ve have to work through in order to do so. The intensity of feelings that have arisen in the process.

Whatever your journey, know that your finished projects will have the depth that they have asked you to dig into. Everything that you’ve learned to face is present in everything that you create. Not one struggle is wasted when you allow it to inform the rest of your work and your world. Make room for more of your life-lessons to take shape in the ways that they want to.

Especially professionally.

Your career wants to have its own way. Its own say. Its own unique composition. This is a time for you to honor the ways in which you are different. The ways in which you work against the grain. Even if it has caused you pain, honor the ways in which you have never fit in. This edge can help you cut to the core of your professional potential. The core meaning of your work. The core of your energetic impact. No matter what your day job, keep asking yourself how you might be a little more informal with your passion. A little less restrained when dreaming up your ultimate scenario. A little more invested in the power of your visions. You’re moving into a time where your connection to the masses is more potent than it’s been in your lifetime. As you deepen your faith in your ability to bring about relevant, creative work, you are simultaneously accessing the calling of the collective. We all have something to give to the group, but your offering at the moment is timed to be the right kind of revolutionary for all those that receive it.

Leo & Leo Rising

The recent full moon in Scorpio pulled focus on your foundations. Your ability to build this part of your life out over the past 6 months is paying off. The more grounded you allow your life to get, the more confidence it creates within you.

If no one can knock you off your center, you are available to receive the gifts that life is giving you.

This sentiment is proven with every new professional opportunity that appears. The full moon reminded you of the inner work required of you if you are dedicated to clearing a path for your career to flourish in the world.

This month is all about it.

With an innovation of epic proportions on its way, your profession is about to be completely reinvented. Whether that is about you reinventing the work that you do, or whether the work that you do is redefining itself as you do it, it’s yours to find, figure out, and develop a relationship to.

As the second week of May picks up, there are important insights for you to communicate, but they may not always be received with ease. There’s reason to disrupt some system of thought, but do so conscientiously and with great consideration. Since there is so much change on the horizon for you, you’ll need to become adept at picking the timing of your battles. Our fights are ours to have, but they can’t all be taken on at once if we are to be effective at any one in particular.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

The recent full moon in Scorpio shed light on the most important aspects of your days. How you live them. How you nourish them. How you situate yourself within each one.

The significance of the full moon lingers through the first week of May, encouraging you to find the places where you can unpack and process the emotional baggage life piles upon us. The full moon’s impact is encouraging you to leave time and space to decompress. To allow yourself visiting rights to the temples that house your dearest deities. The first week of May is the perfect time to retrieve anything that April may have left you in deficit of. The astrology is unusually quiet for this moment, but the calm before the storm is the perfect time to stock up on supplies.

The skies are shifting.

The second week of May gets you to resolve a longer standing issue in regards to your shared resources and collaborations. What needs to be cleared up between you and others? What resources need to be divided up differently? Which co-working situations are in need of a revisioning in order for them to flourish or find a natural end?

Fear the finishing up of nothing. Every little bit of space that you can create now will be utilized momentarily and for a long time to come.

The later part of May brings the beginnings of unforeseen adventures. Life is asking you to teach what you know, and learn more about what you need in order to grow. Your impact is extensive at the moment. Cultivate your messages with care, never underestimating the potential of your impact.

Libra & Libra Rising

The recent full moon in Scorpio released within you a wealth of emotional energy to put to use. Over the past 6 months you have been asked to grow your understanding of your talents and their capacities. Your assets and their value. Your gifts and their generative abilities. When you enter into the world with a reverence for what your gifts could be capable of, you come with a spirit of goodwill. The gifts bestowed to us are for the giving, not the taking with us when we die. Every time we are generous with what we have been granted, we allow the best of what we have been given to flourish. We are not our gifts, just humble servants of them.

The second week of May brings with it edgier conversations that might leave you feeling a little frayed. You may notice those closest to you are under extra strain or stress and that the arguments or issues that come up are related to something that happened earlier this spring. Whatever growing pains you and/or your loved ones are in, remember to listen like you mean it. So much can get resolved within you, or within the relationship with more presence and less pressure to get anything right.

As the sun continues its journey through the fertile fields of Taurus, it awakens you to the possibilities of building within the right circumstances. This is your time to take a new approach to partnering with people, organizations, and business ventures. What you are being asked to do is something completely new. Keep carving out space in your conscious awareness for the unknown, unheard of, unforeseen ways of working. You will be asked to develop partnerships in ways that they have never been developed before. As you do, it’s important that you develop trust in your intuitive wisdom as it will be one of your most reliable assets.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

Notice what is blooming.

What aspects of your life are unfolding without force? What is relaxing within you without much work, will-power, or pressure? What is breathing with greater ease in your world?

Trust your growth.

Support its process. Make a habit of witnessing what you’ve made out of what you have been given to work with. With the right ingredients, the elixirs of your life are created. It’s never about quantity, just the quality of what you’ve got to work with.

Trust what your inner magician wants to work with.

Notice what situations in your life have ripened. Are ready. Are offering themselves up to be worked with or released. This is no time to hold onto what has run its course. Know that more is coming. Remember how to make way. Remind yourself that more is wanting to move through you.

The full moon in Scorpio reminds you that energy flows where there is room for it.

Find the folks that challenge you to be less afraid of fear. Find the folks that are working on their own growth cycles, independent of anyone else around them. Find the folks that are capable of witnessing your talent and its tremendous potential. Those that know how to celebrate you. Those that encourage you to explore your opportunities despite the fear that arises in the face of them. Those whose magic gets added to your mix, helping everything else work wonders.

As the second week of May unfolds, so too do important aspects of your work projects. Whatever tensions, disputes, and disruptions erupt here will teach you about the importance of expressing yourself. It’s not your job to hold all the issues on your own. Professionally speaking, it’s as important for you to articulate what isn’t working as it is for your projects. If it isn’t working for you, some aspect of it isn’t working at all. From May 7th-13th you’ll be asked to find the most innovative ways possible to work around a professional issue. Be as brave as you are patient, as teachable as you are unwilling to compromise your integrity.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

The recent full moon in Scorpio pulled focus on the aspects of your life out of your control. What ails us, what sorrows befall us, what losses we are asked to shoulder, ask for our attention. Our awareness. Our ability to hold whatever arises as a result. The full moon reminded you of the importance of succumbing to life’s unexpected closures. The yearning of the body to withdraw, heal, or adapt to your life’s rhythm is an important tempo to fall into alignment with. Your ability to do so now will help you to take up future work-life opportunities.

Much of the astrology is focused on your ability to maintain balance between your need to reinvent yourself via creative projects and the reality of needing to recoup the energy you have spent. Time is not wasted in contemplative states. They are as important as time on the job. You may yearn for access to creative incubators, studios, and dark rooms with the incredible wealth of energy you are able to tap into right now.

However.

Part of your growth is requiring you to incorporate innovate work rituals, habits, and patterns, the likes of which will really begin to take shape this month. The changes in your work-life, work-projects, and ways of working are essential aspects of your own recreation. New ideas want to find their way into your professional projects but they require that the ways in which you work are also reinvented. Creativity isn’t a commodity to be bought and sold, it is a gift to be listened and attended to. Welcome the new ways in which you are meant to work with yours.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

The full moon in Scorpio sheds light on the relationships that keep your hopes, dreams, and present self moving towards a future you want to live into. The friend groups that help to emotionally gather you, the colleagues that are here to conspire alongside you, and the audience that receives your skillful application has been growing. This full moon shone light on just how much. As you bear witness to the influx of seekers and platonic suitors that are interested in you, it’s important to create solid connections to your creative channels.

As your influence and reach grows so too does your need to serve and protect your creative wells from running dry.

As the sun makes moves through Taurus, it reminds you of the importance of cultivating a greater appreciation for all that you are creating and the process it needs to take. The connection to your gifts has to be more important than the attention you get for them. Appreciation will come and go, but your craft is always waiting on you to give it the love it needs to grow. Every time anxiety, fear, or frustration sets in, see what you could do to take your skills to the next level.

Practice is the most valuable thing to perfect.

April 15th

Mercury stations direct at 4° of Aries at 2:21 AM PT

6:57 PM PT – New Moon at 26° of Aries

A refresh button of epic proportions, the new moon in Aries occurs mere hours after Mercury stations direct in the same sign.

Not only is this new moon part of Mercury’s renewed journey onwards, but it is also in a very tight conjunction to Uranus. This is the last new moon to be conjunct The Goddess of Give No F*cks in Aries for at least another 80 years.

On its own, a new moon conjunct Uranus in Aries is an untamable force. Uranus is unregulated, ungrounded, electric energy. Prone to unequal distributions of its power, this planet provides a bumpy ride. Breakdowns befall it. Breakthroughs are made possible through it. Uranus destabilizes a situation, revealing what wasn’t sturdy enough to withstand the shake and quake of truth.

Honesty is the only policy that protects our integrity.

As Mercury stations direct, it releases information that has been in hiding. Something shocking comes to light. Something formerly out of view is revealed. Something of a refresh to the system, today’s astrological combination reminds us that renewing our relationship to our lives is a choice that we can always make. This new moon brings with it the knowledge that our freedom is dependent on our ability to be truthful with ourselves at all costs.

This new moon is also a poignant culmination of all that we have learned about Uranus’s journey through this fire sign over the past 7 years.

Take a look at your chart and notice which house contains Aries. The domain of life that that house rules will give you a reference point as to what this planet has been helping you shake loose and reinvent. Think back to 2011. What were you waking up to in this area of your life? What was being broken down? What breakthroughs were possible as a result? What have you learned to accept more radically here over the past 7 years? Has technology helped you to innovate this area of your life? How have the last 7 years helped you to respect your individuality, especially with regards to the themes of the house in your chart that contains Aries?

Uranus will flip back and forth between the two signs for the next year, but no other new moon will occur in Aries along with it. So while there is still more that Uranus in Aries has to teach us, this is a beginning of the end. A time to reflect on how liberated this freedom fighter has helped us to become. In May, I’ll offer a more in-depth investigation into the impact that Uranus has had in Aries, and what the next 7 years might bring you while it is in Taurus.

April 16th & 17th

Venus in Taurus oppose Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 20°

Venus in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°

Saturn stations retrograde at 9° of Capricorn

As Venus lines up to oppose Jupiter on the eve of April 16th, it also shares a harmonious How You Doin’? trine with Pluto.

Exaggerating our need for opulence, beauty, abundance, and all things that feel good, Venus opposing Jupiter can amp up our yearning for a break from the ever accumulating workload. These two together are an incredibly good time, but watch that the good time doesn’t topple over into time and opportunities wasted.

Venus trine Pluto creates a sultry situation to enjoy. Whether erotic, creative, or both, Venus trine Pluto helps us experience the transformational power of pleasure.

On the same day, Saturn, Taskmaster of the Stars, will station retrograde. Asking us to review the work we’ve done since Saturn’s entrance into this sign last December, the next 5 months will have us taking a deeper look at the motives we have when accomplishing our goals.

April 18th & 19th

Sun conjunct Uranus at 28° of Aries

Sun enters Taurus

Completing what the new moon on April 15th started, the sun completes its conjunction to Uranus in Aries right before it enters Taurus.

This is the last time that the sun and Uranus will make a conjunction in Aries for decades to come. Soon, Uranus will follow suit, entering Taurus and marking a whole new era of innovation. Today, as the two gather at the last couple of degrees of this sign, we may experience some disruption, but when a new shoot breaks ground, rumblings resound. Keep your feelers to the ground so you can make the most of the breakthroughs this transit is sure to bring.

April 22nd

Pluto stations retrograde at 21° of Capricorn

Retrograde for the next 6 months, Pluto moves slowly over certain areas of our charts. It’s no wonder this planet rules long-lasting transformations. Spending years covering a similar patch of the sky, Pluto does not rush rebirth. Look at your chart to see if you have any planets between 18°- 21° of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn. If so they will be activated in obvious ways. Pluto transforms. Alchemical process aren’t so pretty. They are hard to work through while showing up to the office. Today might strike a deeper tone. One that reminds you of the resounding impact that your effort to heal has on all areas of your life.

April 23rd

Mars in Capricorn sextile Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 20°

An encouraging aspect for our more ambitious projects, Mars sextile Jupiter gives us the courage to grow as much as it encourages our growth. The warrior within feels a boost of confidence, helping us charge in the directions we desire.

April 24th

Venus enters Gemini

Venus in Gemini until May 19th

Venus sweetens the part of our chart that contains Gemini, and will be especially lovely for any planets that we might have in the twin’s sign. In Gemini, Venus shows affection through communication. On Friday, April 27th honor the Goddess of Love by writing or reciting sweet nothings to yourself or someone you love.

April 25th

Mercury in Aries square Saturn in Capricorn, both at 9°

The second of two squares between Mercury and Saturn over the last month, we again come up against a boundary that requires we get very clear about our own. Agree to what you feel absolutely sure of, otherwise wait it out, take your time, and don’t be pressured into anything that you know, deep down, you don’t want to do. This aspect might also signify an important part of an ongoing conversation that you have been having with another. It’s not over, but today’s astrology signifies an important milestone in it.

April 26th

Mars conjunct Pluto at 21° of Capricorn

Unparalleled passion overwhelms the left brain when Mars and Pluto come together. Ruthless in their approach to getting what they want, fragility won’t fair well in a Mars/Pluto paradigm. Unashamed of the rawness of wanting, these two open up a chasm of desire within. Ravenous for a win, they wake up our inner Boss Bitch With No Quit.

Direct her towards your good growth.

Occurring in Capricorn, the part of your chart that has been impacted repeatedly by very potent astrology over the past couple of weeks, these two give us access to the resources we need to succeed.

Your new moon horoscope is good from the new moon on April 15th through to the full moon on April 29th. They are written as affirmations to use around the time of the new moon. Please change the wording as you need to so that they resonate with you. If you know both your rising sign and your sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

Aries & Aries Rising

I honor this new moon by trusting that what has broken was for the best. What has shattered  leaves openings for my awakening. What has felt turbulent has helped me better understand how I can ground.

I honor this new moon by trusting more and controlling less. I trust my ability to experiment with possibilities. I trust that the more I stay with a problem the more readily the solution appears.

I hold myself down without holding myself back.

I trust that my life is perfect in this moment, exactly as it is. From this place, all things are possible. From this place I can create exactly what I need. From this place, and only this place, the greatest meaning can be derived. I know that wanting to be anywhere else disempowers me. I know that wanting to be anyone else disrespects me. I know that wanting something other than the lessons I am learning is a waste of my precious energy.

I protect my grand plan by radically accepting my current situation. There is wisdom here that I refuse to refuse. There is beauty here that I need to know. There is a gift buried inside my situation and I am grateful for it.

I know that there is no greater honor than being my full self. I fully accept my flaws and use them to propel me towards fulfillment. I know that in my most challenging personality traits lie the great energetic reserves. I honor the strength that it takes to unpack these lessons and I am grateful for every ounce of it that I possess.

I bring these insights into my professional life. I own my ambition and connect it to meaningful pursuits. I am driven to bring my dreams to fruition. I give myself permission to move towards my career goals with confidence, clarity, and a knowing that my day job is no different than my self-development. They count on, and contain, powerful information for each other. I know that if there is a change that I need in my career, the most powerful thing I can do is look within to see how I might support making the same change within me.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

I honor this new moon by honoring all the small steps that I have taken towards my own healing. Each breakthrough, no matter how minute, has helped me to free a little more of my heart and soul. Each paradigm shift has allowed a little more space for my creativity to reveal itself. Each shocking truth that I have allowed to surface in my conscious awareness is a gift that supports my present and future possibilities.

The more honesty I allow in, the more aligned I am with my purpose.

I understand that I am in the midst of great transition. I sense something new on the horizon. I have been intuitively preparing for this moment for a minute, knowing that I would need to clear some psychic space for my upcoming quantum leap. Major transitions rarely feel wonderful. New growth opportunities can often appear as a threat. I expect to be upended. Internally reorganized. Externally overhauled.

I give up being overly committed to any one version of myself.

I am more complex, nuanced, and layered than any one identity could articulate. Instead of being stuck in a certain persona, I grant myself the right to explore all possibilities of who and what I am. I drop any false sense of self that my ego has had me cling to. Allowing all unfair notions to break away from my being. I commit to giving myself the room I need to discover, uncover, and recover myself. Doing so aligns me with my integrity. The highest prize. The most stunning asset to amass. The richest reason to live life. Without it nothing can really land. With it, everything has the chance to take root, take flight, or take me on the ride of my life.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Affirming connections come out of the blue because I am blessed with the ability to show up when and where I am needed. I honor this new moon by being grateful for all that I have been able to learn in and through my communities. I know that my ultimate liberation depends on our collective one. I know that my power is amplified when I find a chorus to contribute to. I know that I need to take care of my own needs in order to serve any kind of communal one.

Everyone of us must make our own healing a crucial component of our collective one.

I make sure that each person I am in collaboration with gets my sincerest effort so that I live up to my end of the bargain. So that I know I am worthy of being in partnership with the best. So that I remember that I am only in competition with myself for MVP.

If I don’t come at something with all I’ve got, I am likely to think I deserve partners that are the same. But that’s not my sport. I came to win with those that are ready and willing to play the best game they’ve got.

I stay open to information that comes to me with this new moon. I remember to listen when people tell me who they are. I remember that when someone speaks against goodness, it’s my cue to protect my own. I remember that when folks are unwilling to stay true to their word, its my cue to stay true to mine. I can’t fix anyone’s mess, but cleaning up my own can encourage the rest to work out as best it can.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

My career relies on me to show up with integrity. It is built on my actions. It is created from my sincere efforts. It has meaning because of what I have been able to glean from its ups and its downs. I don’t take either personally, but I do take them as invitations to deepen my understanding of what works for me and what doesn’t.

I divest from ideas of success and instead strive for being in accordance with my inner knowing. I strive to understand how I can be less hung up on outcomes and more aligned with the freedom my career requires.

My work in the world is only as revolutionary as I am able to be personally.

Being true to my word in all of my work is the most impactful position I can take. It is the most rebellious sentiment that I can live into. It is the most contrary action that I can make my go to move. In this world of liars on high and thieves on every level, I choose to be committed to gathering something more than just the accolades afforded to the immoral.

I choose to win my own self-respect.

This can only occur when I am throughly investigating my part in all the challenges I face. This can only occur when I can be in front of any person and know that I have acted in accordance with my personal values. This can only occur when I am able to be honest about who I am in relationship with, and what the union is and isn’t capable of. Little is lasting when I lie to myself, but everything has a chance to flourish when done in honor of the truth.

Leo & Leo Rising

I let myself imagine a future filled with unknown adventures. I study the obstacles my mind is likely to put in my path. I accept responsibility for these illusions by reminding myself that there’s no reason to limit the possibilities of anything I can or will create. Each thing that I bring into form is allowed a life of its own. Who am I to get in the way of its trajectory? My job is to send it on its way. My job is to offer my creations the support that they seek. My job is to encourage them to live their best life, with or without me.

I don’t have dominion over anything I create. I am simply fortunate enough to have been chosen to be its conscientious caretaker. I remember this as I work towards the completion of some incredibly powerful professional projects. I respect the ambition that they inherently have. I respect the impact that they are sure to make. I respect the potential that lies within each one by treating them as important markers on my journey.

I honor this new moon by not limiting my life to what my past has dictated is possible. I honor this new moon by reminding myself that I don’t always know what’s best for my future, but I do know how to take the next action that my integrity requires of me. Along the long road of life, that’s the most important thing to focus on.

*For a detailed look at how this Sunday’s new moon in Aries and the astrology of the next lunar cycle will impact your sign, as well as new moon ritual and altar suggestions, join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Aries.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

With this new moon I clear out the clutter left behind by collaborations past. Any residue that restricts my ability to think creatively is sorted through, cleansed and recycled for new use. I work to heal any self-doubt that occurred because of ill-fitting partnerships. I know that I have been given something glorious to contribute. My job is to refine it. Honor it. Work to reveal it. Trusting in the innovative intelligence that moves through it.

Over the past 7 years my partners have been my greatest sources of awakening. Some of the learning I did with others was through incredible turbulence. But that’s what happens when you break new ground. I look back on this time with indestructible gratitude for all it taught me. I now know that working through fear is revolutionary.

The creative potency that runs through me right now is intoxicating. I direct it with integrity. I channel its passion. This kind of intensity is incredible to embody, so I do so honorably. Being mindful of who I get into bed or business with, I know that right now I embody what many want to be engaged with. I honor this power. For my heart. For my talent. For my future.

*For a detailed look at how this Sunday’s new moon in Aries and the astrology of the next lunar cycle will impact your sign, as well as new moon ritual and altar suggestions, join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Aries.

Libra & Libra Rising

I honor this new moon by knowing what I need. Not just intellectually, but intimately. Physically. Emotionally. Spiritually. Like a lover I am intertwined with, I want to know how I can best serve the situations that I am in. I make sure that the partnerships I commit to are striving towards common goals. Happily. Joyfully. Respectfully. If not, its best for both parties to reorient towards a more honest and productive use of energy.

The new moon reminds me of my most significant relationships over the past 7 years. I am grateful for the experiences they brought me. Even if they were short lived, their lessons are eternal.

I’m grateful for the business ventures that taught me about my worth. I’m grateful for the professional partnerships that forced me to work on my core issues. I’m grateful for all I have been able to forgive myself and others for.

My ability to love my way through old hurts and into new dimensions of my heart is one of the greatest gifts of my life. I am grateful for every person and every event that has helped me to do so.

The more unattached I am to how things work out, the less likely I am to misconstrue the meaning of another’s actions. I’m tough enough to handle the truth and tender enough to know how to protect myself through it.

*For a detailed look at how this Sunday’s new moon in Aries and the astrology of the next lunar cycle will impact your sign, as well as new moon ritual and altar suggestions, join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Aries.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

I investigate what is underneath the surface of my professional projects. I allow the truth of what I need to work on, and how I need to work on it, to emerge. I want to be well informed, even if the information means I need to change how I do business.

The truth is of more value than any lie I could buy into.

As work-life changes occur, my relationship to what I am working on follows suit. I begin new projects that align with my integrity. Revolutionary work requires that I not be rebellious about honoring my own boundaries, needs, or inner-knowing. There are far more interesting things to give the middle finger to than my own well-being. I work with the new moon by developing innovative self-care strategies.

Like honesty about what I need to work on, work through, and work with no matter the discomfort.

I honor my drive to learn, communicate, and come into the power of my voice. I use its potency carefully, knowing that at this moment I am attracting all manner of attention. The suitors are swarming, so I send out my sincerest sentiments in order to filter out those that aren’t aligned with my current trajectory.

You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

March 30th

Venus enters Taurus

Nothing can save us from the insults of being human, of being vulnerable to life’s whims and weatherings. But a little beauty, a few small pleasures, a sampling of the sweetness of life, can help us cull meaning from the mayhem.

Enter Venus in Taurus.

Here until April 24th, Venus is the least problematic planet in our skies right now. It is, therefore, the planet we may wish to send our pleas to. In order to appease the Goddess of Grace and Good Times, we must enter her temple adorned and with plenty of praise in our pocket. Venus brings love and luxury. In Taurus, the more tactile the goodies, the better. Praise Venus by praising your body, your lovers, and your abundant good fortune here on the physical plane. Get yourself to some greenery to remember the lushness of nature. Soak in the sensual sensations that help you to ground so that good things have a place to take root.

Look to the house in your chart that contains Taurus. It is the part of your life that is benefiting from Venus’s good graces and flirtations.

March 31st

5:37 AM PT – Full moon at 10° of Libra

The full moon comes with a hefty square from Mars and Saturn. Squares to and from these two tyrants have been a major theme of this lunar cycle thus far, and continue to be. This full moon has a way of articulating any overwhelm that lies just beneath the surface of our schedules.

Libra looks for balance in all things but, this lunation, the scales are tipped. Balance may not be a practical goal to strive for so strive for something a little more plausible given the current climate of your life.

A little understanding goes a long way. A little care can help to soothe a build up of stress. A little thoughtfulness can help to reset your relationships and your responsibilities. With Venus in Taurus as ruler of this full moon, its important to praise the goodness that we have access to and remember that the worry we have can be momentarily put down in exchange for an opportunity to embrace some pleasure and love.

April 1st

Sun conjunct Mercury at 11° of Aries

This is the heart of Mercury’s retrograde cycle. The mid-point of its process. The part of the therapy session where you get that Oprah-sized, “A-Ha!” moment. This occurs on the heels of the full moon and may act as a kind of reset to our system. Mercury is squaring both Mars and Saturn as this occurs, however. Our awakenings may be tuning us into more complexity than clarity, but we are still better off being armed with all the knowledge possible. With another 2 weeks to its retrograde, Mercury’s witchcraft is worth noting. Much is still hidden, so tread carefully and cautiously with your gathering and distributing of data.

April 2nd

Mars conjunct Saturn at 8° of Capricorn

The most challenging aspect of all, Mars and Saturn’s conjunction in Capricorn demands our very best. This aspect may not feel friendly, but if you work with it, it will help you master the fine art of Giving The Right Fucks. We can’t care about everything, even if we wanted to be able to. We have to make choices. We have to be discerning. We have to direct our energy towards some things and away from others if we are to get anything done. Mars pierces the boundaries that protect us, Saturn is the boundary that keeps us safe or keeps us from experiencing life.

Mars conjunct Saturn asks us what we need to build boundaries around, and which boundaries we need to transgress. The combination also speaks to needing to move (Mars) through incredible obstacles (Saturn) no matter how difficult. These two together build an incredible resolve, determination and, in Capricorn, a drive to do it no matter how impossible it may appear.

Look to the meaning of the house in your chart that contains Capricorn for more information on how this transit is impacting you.

April 4th & 5th

Mercury (still retrograde) in Aries square Mars, and then Saturn in Capricorn, all at 8°-9°

What we agree to must be adhered to if our word is to be taken seriously. As Mercury retrograde always teaches, it’s good to review the nature of our commitments as they set us out on the course of our lives. Agreeing to what isn’t ultimately freeing for us usually backfires.

Mercury finds itself under incredible scrutiny during the first week of April. What we communicate must be incredibly thoughtful at this point, otherwise the hot waters of consequence are yearning for our company. Keep your commitments consolidated. Do not overextend your energy. Do not take the curt tone of others too personally, and cut yours off at the pass. You may find that you and others are running short on patience, making conversations a little tense. These aren’t the best days to find resolve, but they are ones that reveal the outcomes of our poorly communicated sentiments rather well. Say it with as much kindness as you can.

Mercury will make these squares again come late April and mid-May, making the effects of this Mercury retrograde long-lasting and not yet conclusive. Look to the meaning of the house in your chart that contains Aries for an understanding of how this Mercury retrograde has and is impacting you.

April 7th

Venus in Taurus trine Saturn in Capricorn, both at 9°

From April 7th through to the 12th, Venus makes some very helpful aspects. Set up to experience as much harmony as it can, Venus is the current celestial harbinger of hospitality. Venus in its own sign makes a trine to Saturn in its own sign today. These two come with all the wealth they need and act helpful to each other. Like two masters of their craft in conversation, we can all benefit from the wisdom they impart. Look to see what you are learning about slowly building your reserves, your resume, and your relationship bonds. Venus and Saturn here remind us of the importance of cultivating appreciation for things over time. Do not rush. Instead, deepen, stabilize, and work honestly at what you love.

April 10th

Sun in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°

Venus in Taurus trine Mars in Capricorn, both at 13°

The sun’s square to Pluto brings with it intensity and necessary transformations. This day is cathartic in nature and demands that we address the power struggles that we find ourselves engaged in.

Venus however, continues its escapade through Taurus, teaming up with those that can activate its potential. Venus and Mars trine one another speaks to the sparks that ignite creative intelligence.

And passion.

There is something incredibly intoxicating about this duo and while it may not be about a romantic love opportunity for us individually, it will help us to make use of the creative juice we have access to collectively.

April 12th

Venus in Taurus sextile Neptune in Pisces, both at 15°

Another helpful aspect between Venus and her playmates. Venus and Neptune in aspect together speak to an ideal life, creation, or situation to draw inspiration from.

April 14th

Jupiter in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn, both at 21°

Mars in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces, both at 15°

Mercury stations direct at 4° of Aries at 2:21 AM PT on April 15th

As Jupiter and Pluto line up to make their second of three sextiles this year, they expose another aspect of our appetite for success. Even after the harrowing astrology of early April, Jupiter and Pluto are here to remind us of our resilience, our desires, and our ability to expand through these deep experiences.

It’s a refreshing note to end on.

Mars also makes a helpful connection with Neptune, encouraging us to move towards our dreams and connect our actions to our ideals. We may not get there, but better to be on the path to them, then way off base.

Lastly, as this lunar cycle comes to an end, so too does this past installment of Mercury retrograde. Stationing direct on the same day as the next new moon, Mercury releases us from its wild retrograde ride. Set up for a powerful refresh come the new moon in Aries on April 15th, Mercury reminds us not to rush off without our newly learned lessons in hand.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

You may not have created the problems you currently face, but you must train yourself in the wise ways of the solutions they require. Right now it probably isn’t helpful to focus too heavily on fault. Though its imperative to be clear on what has transpired, you’ll be more effective when you dedicate your energy to helping yourself (possibly your colleagues and partners as well) through whatever difficulties are in front of you.

It takes courage to be solution oriented. It takes thoughtful consideration to think about more than our impulses. It takes discipline to give ourselves what we need when we need it. Don’t put yourself last. All it will do is make every one of your tasks more tiring.

The full moon on March 31st magnifies the relationship dynamics in your life that need to be addressed. Everyone fears rejection. Everyone fears being incompetent in the face of intimacy. Everyone fears that they are unloveable, in one way or another. Leaving those fears unconscious gives them power.

Work with this full moon to take your power back. Get clear on what relationship dynamics you are participating in. Recommit to the partnerships that know how precious it is to face challenges with great heart and honesty.

The two weeks that follow the full moon continue to provide professional challenges for you to chew on. Do not rush solutions to the situations you face at work. Unpack each issue with every bit of presence you can offer. No matter how frustrating, the limits that you come up against are also providing you with the detours that you need most right now.

Follow their lead.

The force these situations come at you with needs to be met with an equally determined dedication to compassionate kindness. Keep imagining what might be easier to manage if you were flooded with a loving kindness. Keep imagining having the kind of faith in yourself that your best ally has in you. Keep imagining meeting your deadlines with an unending compassion for the incredible efforts required of you.

Mixed in with the mayhem are gifts of ease and encouragement. Financial and energetic support that you need to pull this off is available for you through to the end of April. The resources that you need are there for your to work with. Don’t forget to access them, ask for them, and fill yourself with the sustenance available.

A Workshop for the Lunar Cycle from March 17th – April 14th is now 50% off. Even though the lunar cycle is half over, the most intense astrology is yet to be lived out, making the information in this course incredibly useful from now until the next new moon, and beyond.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

As of March 31st, Venus spends the next month in your sign. Here, the planet of love and connection helps you to solve problems through focusing on what is pleasureful.

Indulge the solutions that have the power to save you from burn-out.

The current astrological weather has an austere influence. It has the ability to trick us into thinking that there is less. That there is a lack. That there isn’t enough time, talent, or opportunity available to us.

Don’t fall for it.

Push back against doubt by doubling down on your well-being. The more you give yourself the resources that you need to succeed, the more you’ll be able to show up ready and willing to do the job at hand. Since the full moon (also on March 31st) puts the professional pressure on you, it’s important to turn up the volume on your self-love situations.

With many deadlines and due-dates looming, you have all the more reason to be kind to yourself. To be thoughtful with yourself. To be considerate of what you need to make it to the finish line. Notice what your most pressing professional obligations are teaching you. Notice what limits you are being forced to work within. Notice what creativity this encourages from you. Try not to let the work-life situations that are stressing you dictate your feelings about your professional potential.

Be on your own side.

Over the next two weeks you’ll be learning a lot about how you self-sabotage and, more importantly, how to effectively and creatively prevent yourself from doing so. Each pattern discovered has the power to shift your philosophical outlook on life. Each time you direct your conscious awareness towards your gifts, strengths, and ability to develop them, you weaken the power that your own self-criticism has. Take the energy that you put into fearing life, and redirect it into ways to work through life’s harder lessons and you’ll have made the first half of April into a series of stunning successes.

A Workshop for the Lunar Cycle from March 17th – April 14th is now 50% off. Even though the lunar cycle is half over, the most intense astrology is yet to be lived out, making the information in this course incredibly useful from now until the next new moon, and beyond.

Horoscopes for Gemini & Gemini Rising

The full moon on March 31st draws your attention towards the creative projects that are most pressing in your life. What you create, who you create with, and how you create with them, is a major theme of this moon’s meaning. The stress that some of your collaborations or collaborators are under needs to be acknowledged so that it might be held with compassion. What you go though with others becomes an important part of the collaborations themselves.

Unpack the problems carefully.

Whatever you end up facing must be mindfully worked through. Don’t feel like you need to rush in order to win. This is a marathon. Don’t race through the real talk. Life is teaching you a tremendous amount about how to have difficult conversations while doing the least amount of damage. Something few of us know how to do. Keep validating your own feelings while finding the least harmful ways to communicate the tough stuff.

The first week of April demands much of you and your colleagues. Be sensitive to what might help you move not only yourself, but your fellow folks through these trying times.

There are pockets of relief, however.

With Venus strolling through your 12th house, April wants to help you to feel good from the inside out. This has little to do with how well you are finding your way through conflicts. It has little to do with how you are finding your way through the tests and trials of this time. It has only to do with an independent source of well-being that is within you. Tap into it regularly. Find the sources of sweetness in yourself that are not based on your performance or rewards anticipated, gained or lost. Find the part of you that loves and appreciates life as it is. The part that knows how to put down a problem for a moment and enjoy any reason at all to uplift what is working.

A Workshop for the Lunar Cycle from March 17th – April 14th is now 50% off. Even though the lunar cycle is half over, the most intense astrology is yet to be lived out, making the information in this course incredibly useful from now until the next new moon, and beyond.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

Trust is built from the bottom up. From within ourselves. From how we deal with our fears. From how we deal with each situation and solution. Brick by brick we learn how to lay a life down on solid ground. Bit by bit we learn how to work around the foundational issues that have been passed down to us. Season by season we gain the experience necessary to trust that we’ll find a new way around an old pain.

We cannot rush our trust. We must earn it. We must work for it. We must learn our own best practices when dealing with our personal difficulties.

Don’t let anyone convince you to move faster than you need to. Especially in regards to professional issues that require careful unpacking and review. Instead, work on developing the patience needed to appreciate every bit of its painstaking process.

The full moon on March 31st amplifies the lessons that you are learning about being thoughtful with yourself. This full moon pulls up patterns about your inner life, your professional life, and your partnerships that need to be understood on a deeper level. These lessons don’t fade after the moon’s light wanes. Like waves crashing on the shore, they repeat themselves many times over.

The first 2 weeks of April bring you many opportunities to review, rework and rewire your thought process. Pay special attention to what your most pressing professional projects are teaching you. What limits are you learning to respect? Which are teaching you to deepen your connection to what you are developing? To your partners? To your process?

The more patience and compassion you can offer to your situation, the more easily you’ll find your way through what you and your partners are facing. With Mars and Saturn colliding in your 7th house of relationships, there is an important test for you and those you are closest to. Work on the agreements, boundaries, and burdens that you both carry. Whether this is a personal or professional situation, both of you need to know the capacities of your union. Be clear. Be kind. Be honest with yourself so that you can be with everyone else.

By mid-April a way forward feels more attainable. Remember to reach out to those in your community that know what you are going through. You have incredible social resources at your disposal right now, make sure to take them up on their gifts. You aren’t in this alone and the more you reach out for companionship, the more you’ll realize the gifts that are trying to get to you. Meeting up for tea and some social time is an incredibly productive way to use your days.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

With Venus in your 10th house of career for most of April, your time is well spent building connections to those that can help you manifest your professional ambitions. Feel guilt-free about fulfilling your creative aspirations. Be willing to believe fully in your ability to do so.

Encourage your creativity and manifesting abilities. Gather evidence of how this power moves through you. Make note of each intuitive inkling that comes into being. Collect the receipts of your achievements. Place them on your altar. Place them in your consciousness. Place yourself in the way of success and refuse to move even a millimeter out of step.

The full moon on March 31st signals an important change in your schedule. Life might feel too tightly packed to tend to properly. This full moon points to the space that you need to put back into your day. This full moon is asking you to put your self-care on your calendar.

This moon may also bring about an important interaction. A conversation that bears a reality check. A message that helps you better understand your boundaries. A situation with a good friend, sibling, or work partner that either needs your help or helps you work through a communication issue. Come at the toughest talks with an unrelenting tenderness.

The first 2 weeks of April ask you to tend to an incredible work-load, one that will requires you to be incredibly strategic. Sometimes we have more on our plate than is possible to get through. If you find yourself in this situation, do whatever you are doing to the best of your ability and trust that the rest will work itself out. Work done incredibly well can fill in temporarily for work that is still waiting for you.

Whatever struggles you come up against give you important information about how your long-term plans may need to shift. Or what you may need to shift in order to attain them. There is a lot under review in regards to the ways in which you are moving towards your future. You can’t know right now how it will all unfold, but don’t fear the questions that come up in the process. They are just as important as the solutions, and need to be entertained as such.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

March 31st brings with it a full moon that fills you in on your financial responsibilities, realities and rewards. Your hard work pays off, even if the check is for less than you thought it was going to be.

Your new moon affirmation horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. You can use them to set intentions for this new moon and lunar cycle. Please change the wording of them when you need to so that they feel resonant for you. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

The new moon in Pisces arrives on Saturday, March 17th at 6:12 AM PT. Conjunct Chiron, the Wounded Healer, this new moon speaks directly to the hurts that hold us back. That prevent a part of our humanity from realizing its potential. That possess the keys to a greater understanding of ourselves.

We are more than what hurts.

We are more than what has hurt us. We are more than the hurt we have inflicted upon others, the world, and ourselves.

Each time we consciously work with our pain we are working towards a more nuanced understanding of ourselves. An understanding that is less binary and more inclusive of our humanity. We cannot change the fact that we have been harmed, but we can create pathways towards our healing.

To hold space for this kind of potential we must develop an incredibly sturdy container. A personality that refuses rigidity. Identities that are seriously affirming, but that we don’t take too seriously. Philosophies that include the possibility of overcoming what others cannot fathom getting past.

This is not a one-size-fits-all situation, save for one ingredient that needs to be added, no matter the concoction. Compassion. For ourselves. For each other. For the fact that we didn’t know how to have it when we needed to.

Pisces has oceans of it. Forgiveness flows freely from this sign. Able to see the best in a person. Able to see possibilities in any situation. Able to witness beauty in even the most dire of conditions. Pisces extends itself out in the spirit of connection.

The new moon asks how we might have more compassion for ourselves.

Do you have compassion for what you are currently facing? For what you have historically faced? If not, why do you withhold it from yourself?

This new moon is trine Jupiter, its ruler. This is a fairly gifted set up, magnifying the impact of the new moon’s ability to help us repair. Restore. Recommit to our healing and the activities of this lunar cycle.

A couple of hours after the new moon, Mars moves into Capricorn. Spending the next two months in the same sign as Saturn and Pluto, Mars points out the areas of our lives where we need to make great strides while working through incredible obstacles. Mars and Saturn sharing space isn’t the most comfortable condition, but both are strong in the goat’s sign.

This creates within us a strong resolve. Add Pluto to the mix and the situation gets even more intense. Pluto leads us into a process of death and rebirth. Release and renewal. To hell and back, Pluto makes a point of purging all that cannot withstand its force.

This trio will help us all to accomplish a great many things. But we’ll have to be on the lookout for what the nature of each is. Cold-hearted accomplishment won’t keep us warm at night. Destroying the structure of something can be invigorating, until we realize that we need to rebuild something in its place. Remember that what happens under this transit has a long-lasting impact.

The part of our chart that contains Capricorn will give us much to work on and with. I will be addressing it many times over in your horoscopes, as well as in A Worksop for The New Moon in Pisces but, in general, look to the meaning of the house that Capricorn occupies in your chart. Consider the themes associated with this house to understand what might be in store for you in the coming months.

As the new moon initiates us into a new lunar cycle, the sun enters a new sign, and we move into a new season. On March 20th at 9:16 AM PT the sun enters Aries. The beginning of the astrological year in some traditions, the Vernal Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere generally marks a time of beginnings, blessings, light, warmth and growth. The new moon does its best to help you carry them forth.

In the midst of these seasonal shifts, Mercury slows down for its next retrograde. From March 22nd through to April 15th, Mercury will retrograde exclusively through Aries. It’s roughest days come the first week of April, but in general this Mercury retrograde will challenge us to refine our messages, cultivate patience in getting them across, and deal with the usual snafus of the now infamous transit. This spring will be full of many red and green lights. Sometimes getting set off seemingly at the same time. Though these weeks may have a few bumps in their flow, they will lead to many insights about when to work and when to rest. When to circle back to compassion, and when to feed the fires of ambition.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

This moment calls me with an urgency. It asks that I take something on in my profession life that will be both challenging and rejuvenating. Both stressful and soothing. Both revealing and rewarding.

My struggle is sacred. Full of purpose. Forcing me to always confront both the discomfort of growth and the evolution of my talent. Friction is an energetic force that I am learning to recognize and respect. A source of get up and go. An honorable opponent that is asking me to steady myself in my own energy and expertise. Obstacles are put in my path to teach me, purposefully delay me, or derail me towards something more activating of my life purpose. I trust that the ones I am facing now, both professionally and personally, are great teachers. Instead of letting the stress of them consume my energy, I let the stress of them activate my creative intelligence. I protect my energy from undue, unhelpful, and unnecessary tension, strain or struggle.

Saturday’s new moon reminds me of how far I have come. Like an initiation, it attunes me to my own journey. Like a good therapy session, it reconnects me to myself by helping sort through what is difficult. I am reminded that having compassion for myself in this moment is the most important resource I can access.

I give myself copious amounts of it.

I allow myself to outgrow old hurts. I allow myself to experience life beyond what I know at the moment. I allow myself the space, the grace, and the opportunity to grow. It takes incredible strength to hold the uncomfortable feelings that accompany our growth. I acknowledge my fear while I stay engaged with my process.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

With this new moon I make sure that I put myself in the spaces and the places that help to reconnect me to myself. I seek out the social situations that are replenishing. I situate myself within the walls of what I hold to be holy.

With this new moon I make time for the people in my life that remind me of the power of generosity. Those with a commitment to creating less harm. Those that know how to respect their own boundaries, needs, and energy.

With this new moon I develop the quality of my connections instead of trying to amass huge quantities of them.

I know that offering love, energy, and emotional support to others requires that I do the same with myself. And first. This is a place that I refuse to be messy. I honor my boundaries too much to leave space for needless drama.

I know that the issues that arise with friends generally point me towards the emotional work that I need to do. Wounds that existed long before we met will be activated through our relationship. That is one of the reasons we are connected; to connect each other to what needs to be healed within ourselves. I don’t have to like the process of it to have appreciation for what it helps me ultimately understand about myself.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

I trust in the power of my professional vision. I know that while on the path of manifesting my dreams, every issue that I need to heal will meet me at one crossroad or another. I trust that every doubt I face strengthens my resolve and belief in myself.

I trust my process even when it’s less enjoyable than I think it should be. Even when it looks like my greatest fear in real life. Even when it seems like it isn’t going the way I think it should, I know that as long as I track my process and my progress, working to heal what I can where I can, I will always end up where I need to be.

I know that, professionally, joy relies on me to find it, feature it, and fill the empty spaces of my career with it. I know that I need to make a conscious choice to bring more pleasure into my pursuits. To bring more connection into my work-life.

I balance my efforts with an effortless joy.

I pay special attention to my collaborations during this next lunar cycle. This new moon initiates me into a deeper understanding of my work in the world, but it also makes me aware of the need to distinguish any difficulties I may have in my partnerships. So that I can address them with specificity and clarity. I am committed to working through the obstacles that arise for me with great patience, persistence, and professionalism.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

Saturday’s new moon draws my awareness towards my long-term goals. Dreams I am dedicated to fulfilling. Journeys that promise to test my faith and ability to stick it out, but trips that I am blessed to be on.

I plan out my life accordingly. I consider my most extravagant goals and then get to structuring my life around them. Getting my mind focused on them. Getting clear on what I am consciously choosing to do and then doing it without resentment.

I attune myself to my professional needs. I attend to my career goals and the relationships that help me reach them, over the next lunar cycle. Working through professional difficulties helps me to define what I am able to create with greater clarity. Working through the conflicts that come up helps me to understand where I get stuck. Where I let fear interrupt my growth. Where I doubt that I am deserving of a work-life that supports me as much as I support it.

Working through these issues helps me to see where I need to show up, grow up, and get to the good work of working through what is difficult but ultimately professionally refreshing.

My career needs constant readjustments. My continual re-commitment. My careful reassessments of its needs and my own.

I am free to find my way towards a greater alignment with my work. In fact it is my greatest responsibility. My greatest calling. My greatest achievement. Each time I do so I am reminded that, like any good relationship, both parties need to know the door is open. Nothing keeps me at this save for my willingness to work through the doubt, fear, and feelings that will always accompany great advancements. Each time I do, I am reminded that the cure for my anxiety is the application of my time, talent, and effort towards what is meaningful to me.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

Saturday’s new moon asks me to clarify my collaborative commitments. If my professional partnerships aren’t helping me to both create and replenish, they aren’t sustainable. I look to see where I am leaking my energy, where I might be misusing my talent, where I might be investing in something with little to no payback.

Before, during and after the new moon, I call my energy back from any entanglements it has gotten caught up in. I remember that clarifying my agreements in relationships is essential to my success. I know that my ability to build something meaningful and long-lasting with others depends on my ability to be honest in the process.

I prepare for the next lunar cycle by paying attention to my health. My body calls on me to address its needs. I know that stopping to take care of myself is a powerful disruption to the ceaseless commands of capitalism. I refuse the pace at which it would have me produce. I am a creator in need of refueling. Refusing to be run into the ground, I honor the rhythms that are healthy for me.

I hold my productivity within the context of a larger perspective. These next weeks will demand much of me, but I will also demand much of them. I demand the time I need. I declare my right to say no to what isn’t essential given my current commitments. I have decided that my personal well-being is the foundation of my professional health. One feeds the other and I wish for neither to go hungry.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

Saturday’s new moon reminds me of the importance of finding relationships that are based on mutual healing. Relationships based on our mutual becoming. Relationships based on our understanding of the process growth requires of us.

In my relationships there needs to be enough space for both learning new things and letting go of what doesn’t work. Enough space to work on myself and work on our partnership. Enough compatibility in the ways in which we approach the prospect of living life authentically.

I work with this new moon to imagine what some, or more, of this might be like. I work with this new moon to infuse the ethers around me with the dreams I have for all my partnerships. I work with this new moon to make my dream love-life into a definite destination that I am traveling towards.

Whatever my partnering situation, I am committed to developing a deeper awareness of the ways in which carrying around old heartbreak can impede my ability to receive the love that is currently available to me. I work with this new moon to break any and all agreements that I may have unconsciously made to be married to sorrow, self-doubt, or self-denial. I claim this new moon as my time to marry my potential for love and being loved. I claim this new moon as my moment to remember my beauty and its ability to attract more of it to me. I claim this new moon as my cosmic invitation to declare my desires and decide that they are rightfully mine to seek out without doubt.

Horoscope for Libra & Libra Rising

The new moon dares me to dream up my ideal real-world work-life. It reminds me that healing my relationship to my work requires that I create spaces within it that are restorative. It reminds me that there is a flow to all that I do and following it will help me feel like I am moving less upstream and more with the tides that want to carry me towards meaningful projects.

I give in to these currents.

This new moon reminds me to heal my body from the pains of my past. My physical self holds every story I have lived through, every scenario I have imagined, as well as every bit of kindness extended to me. I work with this new moon in order to create the kind of environment that encourages my physical replenishment. Reawakens my natural ability to restore energy spent. Connects me to my needs, helping me to hold them with greater compassion and consciousness.

I know that if I want to work efficiently, I need to use my energy wisely. I work with the new moon to guide me towards a greater understanding of how to do so. I wish to live out the message of my work. I aim to be an example of what I teach, not just a curator of stylish content about it.

I’m in this for my inner growth, not the temporary applause.

As Mercury stations retrograde I work on clarifying my relationship commitments. I know that in order to be impactful in the ways I wish to, I have to be willing to own up to my end of any situation. I know that relationships are playgrounds of incredible growth. I know that how I show up in them is reflective of how I show up for everything else. I don’t skip these lessons. I settle into them.

Horoscope for Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

My creativity heals me. Never refuses me. Knows how to move through me.

I honor its process.

Saturday’s new moon reminds me to get out of its way. Reminds me to study its ways. Cultivating a deeper relationships with it reminds me that there is no end to the chances I get to grow. Evolve. Change what isn’t working.

Transforming through each creative action I take is a given, but it is also a great leap of faith. Saturday’s new moon reminds me that trusting my creative energy requires that I trust my ability to face the challenges that come with it. Manifesting it in the world requires that I confront my inner doubts about myself. My talent. My competence. My creativity’s relevance. It’s all part of the process.

During this lunar cycle I encourage my determination to deepen. Come doubt, fear, or insecurity, I will do it anyway.

My daily life is densely packed with important projects, deadlines and decisions that define the shape of things. My job is to find a way to work through, around, and with each obstacle as best I can. I remember to keep some energy for myself, keep some reserves for future use, to keep the things that aren’t urgent at bay when and where I can.

The next month will require me to put my ideas out into the world. Strategically weaving my beliefs into my work. Placing them where they will have the biggest impact. I am willing to communicate what might be challenging, but ultimately energizing and solution-oriented.

Saturday’s new moon reminds me that my healing is never done, nor should I wish it to be. There is always another layer, another lesson, another insight to gain.

Each one gathers me.

My well runs deep and in order to draw from its depths I have to be willing to enter into them. Live from them. Love from them. Witnessing the pains of my past. Healing the wounds left by lack of love. Surrendering to truth of what happened so that I can (re)build my life on honest ground.

I look to my origin stories to see what I might need to heal. For myself. For my folks. For my way forward. I hold both a deep appreciation of where I have come from and a deep respect for what I am learning to outgrow.

It is my duty to do so.

I was not put here to stay stuck in one place. Boxed into one idea of what my life could be. Confined to express only one dimension of me. I am here to fill out all the forms, shapes, and textures that my soul wishes to take.

I allow my work in the world to do the same.

I pay special attention during this next lunar cycle to the ways in which I am being asked to  work with my assets. I am on the lookout for the complex issues I come up against in regards to who I work with and for. I make sure that I keep enough time, space, and attention on the most important of my work projects. The next month will ask much of me in this area of my life so I prepare myself by refusing to take on anything overly taxing or momentarily unnecessary.

The full moon in Virgo on the 1st of the month puts us to work and puts us in a position to integrate and process what has piled up. What feelings need to be understood so that they can be digested? So that their wisdom can be integrated? So that their meanings can be organized and your life can run with greater efficiency?

Virgo motivates us to clear up what has been left in disarray. Sitting across from the full moon is a bevy of beauties creating captivating chaos in Pisces fashion.

It is Rihanna Season after all.

The sun, Mercury, Venus, Neptune and Chiron are all currently in the magical, messy waters of the fishes. Mayhem is no stranger to Pisces. Chaos is creative. Creativity is chaotic. But at some point this energy needs to be held. Directed. Clarified so that it can be put to use.

The full moon is here to help us do just this.

Allow some time around the full moon to cleanse your system. Detoxify. Remember that boundaries help you to articulate the emotional energy that Pisces pours forth so that it can express the wisdom that it holds.

Honoring both the dream and the plan to make it a reality is the Virgo/Pisces polarity and this full moon reminds us that believing in our ability to make our vision into a reality is a power we must put to use. Daily.

The day of the full moon also features a trine from Venus in Pisces to Jupiter in Scorpio. There are few other astrological signatures that are so abundant. Venus builds bonds. Jupiter creates abundance. Together they create an unstoppable, generative and generous energy. Pisces is ruled by Jupiter, and Venus is exalted here. The trine between the two is therefore strengthened as the two share wealth from the same source.

This adds a luxury to a usually austere Virgoan situation. Look for the abundance that your efforts have produced and will in the future.

The ruler of the full moon, Mercury, also makes a trine to Jupiter. Mercury might not have clarity of thought in Pisces, but luck is on its side now.

With conjunctions between the sun and Neptune, and Venus, Mercury and Chiron, all in Pisces on March 4th, a mere three days after the full moon, emotional tides stay on the rise even when the full moon wanes. Pisces energy is elevated. With both Neptune and Chiron in the mix, healing infusions will need to be worked with consciously. Neptune intoxicates, but Chiron clarifies the nature of our wounds.

Don’t try to drown them, deny them, or let them fester. This is the season to address them, cleanse them and allow them the air, understanding and thoughtfulness that they need to heal.

March 5th and 6th change the tempo. As first Mercury, and then Venus, move into Aries, water gives way to fire. Mutable energy gives way to cardinal. From the chaos, a new beginning is born.

As Mercury and Venus get used to the heat of Aries, they come into complications via a square to Saturn. Saturn has superiority here. Crushing the burning desires of these two momentarily, we are well served to be a little cautious about our communications and relationship agreements from March 9th through the 14th. We’ll be held to the highest standards during this time, so if you need to think something through, please allow yourself the time to.

However, mixed in with these difficulties come more Pisces delights.

The sun, in Pisces until March 20th, makes a sextile to Pluto and a trine to Jupiter on March 11th and 13th, respectively. The sextile to Pluto lends power to our self-expressions. The trine to a freshly retrograde Jupiter lends a depth of inquiry and an optimism, even if a little tempered.

All in all, the area of our life that contains Pisces will feel a little more fluid and fortuitous and the area of our chart that contains Aries will feel a little more challenged. The desire to disassociate when anger arises can flourish in these astrological climates. Do your best to find a balance between indulging your free-flowing fantasy life and seeking outlets for frustration, pent up energy, and power struggles.

Your full moon horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. These horoscopes are good from the full moon in Virgo on March 1st, to the new moon in Pisces of March 17th. I’ll be back with new moon affirmation horoscopes for you then!

Tasks piled high, awaiting your efforts. Awaiting your care. Awaiting your attention. The 1st of the month brings with it a full moon that focuses on the work that you must do, but it also reveals the ways in which your work is working on you.

What are you learning through the tasks that you are taking on? Who in your work life is helping you to heal something, even if subtly so? Which projects are pulling the best of you forth?

All of the little and large jobs that get accomplished right now are well worth the effort that you put forth. As March gets going you will be made well aware of the importance of checking things off your list, but so too will you begin to appreciate the power of the professional imprint you are making.

Work on both the practical and subtle realms.

Infuse your work with your hopes for the healing it might bring. Bury your intention in every stitch of its fabric. Pattern it after the efforts of others that inspired you. Remember why you began to do this work in the first place. Wrap yourself in the knowledge that your future professional self depends on your ability to presently make space for it.

With a pile-up of planets in Pisces in your 12th house, much work is to be done behind the scenes, out of view, and in private, at least for the first week of March. Allow yourself alone time on the days following the full moon as there is an incredible amount of creative energy for you to experiment with. Make sure that you have little pockets of time during the day to be with your muses. Downtime will connect you to the currents of inspiration libations that your projects are thirsty for.

It will also help you to understand the nature of your sorrows, the impact of your losses and the kind of compassion that you need to give yourself right now. For you, Pisces season has been all about the rituals of cleansing from the past, so that you are more available for the present.

By March 6th the tempo changes. With both Mercury and Venus in Aries, you’ll be back in the spotlight so make sure you put your best effort forward. With both planets making a square to Saturn from March 10th-13th, your communications and relationship agreements come under intense scrutiny. Say yes to nothing that you are even remotely unsure of. Wait for the information that you need. Pause until you are well-prepared. This part of the month might feel extra burdened by responsibilities, so give yourself some room when and where you can.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

The full moon in Virgo on March 1st wants you to pay attention to your creative energy. Bring some organization to your projects. Understanding the way something works will help you get into your creative zone.

Clean out your art supplies.

Get new brushes, pens, and perspective on your projects. What needs to be decluttered so that inspiration has a place to proliferate? What needs to be scaled back so that there is room for your creativity to fulfill itself? What skills need to be put to use, practiced, and worked with so that they don’t languish unloved.

The full moon may also call on you to cleanse some aspect of your romantic life. It asks you to take a moment to understand in greater depth what your heart needs to know from those you share it with. It wonders what you might be able to create with those that you are willing to be clear, honest, and specific with.

You need to know the shape of your love affairs in order to feel free enough to enjoy them.

As Jupiter stations retrograde in your 7th house of committed partnerships, you get a chance to review the growth you’ve made both within your relationships and through them. Which of your philosophies have changed as a result of who you have been able to heal an old relationship dynamic with? What faith do you now have in your own ability to navigate the intense lessons that love brings up? What are you starting to work on, investigate and unpack in regards to your relationship history?

The more insight you are able to gather in regards to your intimacy issues, the more room you will have to understand why certain people show up in your life as they do.

Pisces season salutes those social situations that help you to create more out of and through your connections. Some friends need a lot from you right now. Notice just how many times you get called to comfort, console, or be confided in. Rethink your availability to others if they seem to only take and not exchange time, energy, and care with you. This season is prolific, but can also drain your resources if you aren’t careful.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Your career calls for healing conversations. Meaningful exchanges. Making the most of the connections that you have cultivated requires your willingness to reach out and speak on issues that are close to your heart. Issues that may be tied up in the fabric of any feelings that inhibit your professionalism. Issues need to be addressed so that your talents can be taken to the next level.

Don’t be afraid to express sentiments that might be difficult to dole out, but do make sure that you are doing so for the betterment of the work itself, not to protect someone’s ego or pride.

Especially not your own.

Do what you can to make way for the creativity that is accompanying your public roles. Pisces season dares you to dream up the career scenarios that you normally would dismiss as preposterous. Pisces season reminds you to have faith in your fantasies, as they each hold a fact that your heart has held onto, awaiting your recognition. Pisces season wants to infuse your professional life with a luxurious idealism.

There’s nothing unrealistic about wanting your creations to flourish far past your wildest dreams. You just have to be willing to protect yourself so that you are capable of doing the work they require of you.

Notice who is available to meet with you, work with you, and who wants the best for you and your professional projects. This month is full of opportunities to draw to you what you want in your work life, but the full moon on March 1st requires that you also get right with your home life. What are you yearning for when you stop for long enough to explore your inner world? What connections are you coming up short on? What do you need in order to feel at home? Grant yourself the comforts that you crave. Feed yourself the nourishment that you need. Call the family members that you miss. Gather with loved ones that give good hugs and solid, soulful advice. Make time to cultivate your inner world alongside your outer world strides.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

Healing happens when we make it the center of our lives. When it becomes our philosophy. Touch stone. Most important mantra.

Success is nothing without it. Stifled in its absence. Hollow, fleeting, and ill-fitting at best, if our way to it isn’t a journey of healing in and of itself.

You don’t owe anyone any version of victory, but you do owe yourself a chance to heal along the way to your wins.

With Pisces season comes a downpour of your dreams. But just like the water it is known for, this energy will be too dispersed to put to use if you don’t find the right containers for it. Deep wells for your dreams to reside in. Accessible cauldrons to create your magic in. Sturdy basins to be creative within.

The full moon in Virgo has you covered. Occurring in the part of your chart that governs your day-to-day dealings, the full moon would like to remind you about the power in each of your hours. How you have structured your days comes into focus and you might be reminded about the need to make use of every minute available. The full moon will pile high the tasks that you need to accomplish so take note of the skills, organization, and help that you notice you need. Whatever you implement at this point will help you in the long-run.

What you choose to communicate and put out into the world has a greater impact around the full moon. It has a way of magnifying your messages, so put out the ones that you hope will travel far and wide.

As Jupiter stations retrograde, you’ll be asked to review creative projects, making important edits and revisions to your work and the ways in which you spend your creative energy. From now until July you are given the chance to review the ways in which you want to expand this area of your life. Not all creative growth suits your situation at the moment, so make sure that you are reserving energy for the most viable opportunities during this time period.

Come mid March, you’ll have extra professional pressure to contend with. Your partners may be fulfilling the role of disciplinarian or task master at the moment. Don’t be too content to give them the whole job, however. Make sure that you are living up to your end of the bargain. If you have committed to a professional situation, come as prepared as possible. The astrology says that this time will be a little more labor intensive than usual. Suit up by situating yourself for success in every way possible.

Leo & Leo Rising

The full moon on March 1st focuses on your talents of discernment. You can’t take on every job, task or opportunity, but you must tackle the right ones with as much of your energy and expertise as you can. Save yourself for the most important professional situations so that you can take pride in what you produce.

The full moon also points to the bank balances, both energetic and financial, that need to be accounted for. If you just got a check, check in with your expenses. Allot your resources in specific ways. Be strategic about what you save and what you can be free with. How you want to spend your energy and what ends up feeling wasteful and without reward.

As Pisces season makes clear, how you share your talents, time and energy makes all the difference. There are a million ways to waste our potential. This astrological moment will articulate that, but the right combinations will always carry us further than we had known was possible. Notice who can dream big and work hard alongside you. Notice who knows how to bring their visions to fruition. Notice who in your life wants to collaborate with you and ask yourself if their idealism is grounded enough to get something going. There is much fortune to be found in your collaborations right now but you are just as likely to be fooled by false hope as you are inspired by the right kind of partnership.

Take your time to discern which is which. Invest in your ability to trust your intuition, not your hope for what could be if only….

As Jupiter stations retrograde in your 4th house of home and family you get to review the dynamics between you an those you are related to. Where you live and how you live there becomes an important topic to take up. Whether you have expanded past your current living situation, are setting your sights on the home of your dreams, or reworking certain family dynamics, keep in mind all that you need to feel safe, secure and solid. Once that is in place, everything else is possible.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

With a full moon in your sign at the top of the month, March sets out to highlight your best attributes and expertise. Don’t hold back. You’ve earned every ounce of applause that you receive. The abilities that you’ve been able to foster are yours to cherish. Take your talents seriously. Take them out of the box. Take them into the world and out for a spin.

Risking being wrong. Risk failing. Risk flailing about in public for a moment to achieve the glorious gift of experience. There is nothing wrong with learning, but there is great sorrow in never trying.

This is your time. Shine.

The pile up of planets put emphasis on Pisces season’s ability to open you up to lessons of love and letting go. There is an opening right now for you to move through. Some threshold for you to progress past. Some forgiveness to give yourself so that you might be able to experience a deeper compassion for yourself and everyone else.

Let your heart move past its safety zone.

Who might you need forgiveness from? Who might you need to forgive in order to free your energy from being bound in resentment? What hurt are you carrying that is hurting too much to carry forth?

Ask for help, for healing, for relief, and for release. So that you might get to know a new part of your heart. Another aspect of your attractiveness. A part of your personality that has been shut down, shut off, or shut out.

This season, as slushy as it can be, wants to grant you access to tangible resources for your growth. Much of it comes through your relationships, connections and communications with others. The more consciousness you bring to the dynamics of your dealings with others, the greater the consistency of your connections with them. Folks can bring you the most when you’ve cleared a path for their presents.

As Jupiter stations retrograde, it marks a four month period of reviewing written materials, writing projects and daily schedules. The way to expansion is through an in-depth excavation of your daily habits and patterns. Understanding which rituals set you up for long-term success and which might feel good in the moment but have no positive impact on the future is the gift of this transit. Receive it and be rewarded for years to come.

Libra & Libra Rising

The full moon on March 1st highlights all of the hard work that you have been putting into your healing. You’ve been asked to be specific about what ails you. Precise about what thorns are in your side. Particular about they ways in which you work with your issues.

Or try to evade them.

There is no healing without the identification of our sorrows. Sometimes we catch only a glimpse, sometimes the whole picture. Working with whichever view you have been given gives you access to a whole world of possibilities. Cultivate gratitude for the people and the situations that help you to pinpoint your process at the moment. Dig into the details that are being revealed. Deepen your understanding of where you are able to work, and what you are just beginning to learn how to hold. Refuse to feel bad about any aspect of your healing journey. The more you accept where you are, the more you’ll free up your energy to take in all you can from the experience.

As Pisces season has shown you, it’s all about the efforts that you make. As the full moon releases, you are given greater advantages in your work life, with the projects that you are creating, and the connections that you are making. There is an incredible fertility for you to tap into, just make sure that you don’t overextend yourself.

As Jupiter stations retrograde in your 2nd house of finances and livelihood, you are headed into a 4-month review of how you are expanding your work in the world. Watch what directions you are hesitant to grow in. Trust your intuition when it halts you. Trust the tempo if and when it changes. Track where your growth wants to take you, and where it would rather rest. Some jobs are right for us, but we have to know when it’s the right time to take them on.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The full moon on March 1st reminds you of what is possible given the right conditions. The right crew. The right group around you. It’s good to be picky about who you spend the most time with. It’s important to be concerned about who you are being influenced by. It’s imperative to your growth that you hang out with folks that stretch your awareness, challenge your fears, and encourage you to believe in your goddess-given talents.

If your circles can’t hold your growth with compassionately critical care, you might want to rework your social situations. Foster the relationships that inspire you to step up when you are called to and step back when you need to.

As Jupiter stations retrograde, retracing its steps through Scorpio for the next 4 months, you are asked to refine certain aspects of your growth. You might feel the need to withdraw your energy from certain situations. Review your relationship to your ‘yes’. Remember your right to your ‘no’. You have every reason to request time to think things through when you need to.

Return your excess energy to yourself. Spend it on what pleases you. Pisces season is all about discovering what brings you pleasure.

As the full moon unfolds, you are given ample opportunities to create from this place. What in your life is being born from joy? What can you heal through simply being present to the beauty that surrounds you? What is being fertilized through your awareness of the abundance in your..

Weekly horoscopes will start back up in March, I hope that these monthly horoscopes can serve you until then. Please remember that horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around. We really appreciate it and you!

February begins on the highest, fullest note possible: in the midst of eclipse season. As January came to an end, the total lunar eclipse punctuated the first, and opened the second, month of 2018. The eclipse that occurred on January 31st is the first of two eclipses. The second is a solar eclipse that happens at 1:06 PM PT on February 15th, at 27° of Aquarius.

Eclipse season isn’t something to take lightly, but its messages are, more often than not, misunderstood. Expecting giant events to take place on the day of an astronomical event isn’t a failsafe or helpful way to work with astrological information.

Every astrological occurrence is part of a larger unfolding.

Eclipses are no different. Because they occur over a period of time in the same signs (which equates to the same house, or area of your life), we need to consider the entire time period as a framework for unpacking their message and meaning.

We just experienced the 3rd of 5 eclipses in Leo. The 1st occurred on February 10th, 2017 and the 2nd on August 21st, 2017. Think back to these time periods and consider the house that these eclipses are taking place in (if you need a reminder, check your January horoscope, but make sure to read your rising sign if you know it for the most accurate information). Because the eclipses in Leo are north node eclipses, the general theme of them will be about something in this area of your life increasing. Events around the north node can teach us about our hunger, our greed and our wanting. Some of it helps us to achieve great things, while some of it disturbs our ability to experience contentment. Each eclipse will most likely teach you a little about both.  Remember that we are only a little more than half way through the story. The next eclipse in Leo will occur on August 11th, 2018 and the last will occur on January 21st, 2019.

The 1st of a series of 4 eclipses in Aquarius began on August 18th, 2016 (this was an incredibly mild eclipse however, which some wouldn’t count as significant at all); the 2nd occurred on August 7th, 2017; the third will take place this month, on February 15th; and the 4th and final one will occur on July 27th, 2018. The eclipses in Aquarius are happening around the south node of the moon. The south node helps us to empty out, drain or release something from our lives. Their teaching is about letting go of control and allowing something bigger than ourselves to work through us. More spiritual in nature than the north node (which can tend to be a little more materially inclined), south node eclipses can help to bring us back to what truly matters most. Check your horoscope below (remember to read your rising sign, if you know it, for the most accurate information) to consider what these eclipses might be trying to communicate to you.

For those with Aquarius rising, one or more of these eclipses may impact your energy, your motivation, and your appearance, in some way revealing what you need to let go of in order to live more authentically according to this moment in your life. For those with sun in Aquarius, one or all of these eclipses may be helping you to shed a layer of your identity. Something slowly peels away from the persona so that more of you is revealed. For those with moon in Aquarius, one or more of these eclipses may teach you something important about the nature of your body, its needs, and its wisdom. Remember that any planet or point within a couple of degrees of an eclipse will be the most impacted. For this eclipse, it would be planets or points between 25°-29° of Aquarius.

In general, we might want to use the eclipse on February 15th to ask ourselves what is unworthy of the space it takes up in our hearts, lives, and especially our minds. Aquarius, the Water Bearer, is the bringer of cool, thirst-quenching and refreshing libations. Usually given out in the form of innovative ideas and humanitarian gestures, Aquarius brings us back to our senses.

This eclipse aims to help us do the same.

Sextiling Uranus and Mars, this eclipse has the ability to help us to create change. To not only disrupt what has become stagnant, but also to create space for new information to flow to us and through us.

The rest of the month is fairly fluid. No retrogrades occur. No major clashes of the titans take place.

Mars moves through Sagittarius for all of February and half of March, heating up the part of our chart that contains the free-wheeling fire sign. Mars brings with it the opportunity to work with conflict, but also to move with courage towards what needs our action and energy. Mars is in Jupiter’s sign now, and Jupiter is in Mars’s. They aren’t natural friends. Jupiter opens up new terrain for us to traverse and Mars fights for its own (or invades that of others). But their swapping of domiciles helps us to find a balance between the two. Which opportunities for growth come with a little conflict and how might that thorn in your side teach you how to thrive?

Venus also spends some time in a Jupiter ruled sign. Traveling through Pisces, the sign of its exaltation, Venus works its wonders. Here from February 10th through March 6th, Venus delights in all pleasures imaginable. Venus in Pisces will help us to connect, create and combine what we love with what we wish to make more of. Incredibly fertile, Venus in Pisces proliferates, so make sure that you are creating what you want a lot of.

Aries & Aries Rising

Love comes into your life this month through the wisdom of those around you. Seek the counsel of elders in your life that choose maturity over conformity. Surround yourself with those that do the hard work and heavy lifting of becoming masters of themselves. Make sure that you are in contact with those that know how to withstand public pressure and are true to themselves no matter the popularity it will win or lose them.

The solar eclipse on February 15th reminds you of how important it is to reorganize your social sphere every once in a while. You might need to cleanse your event calendar. Declutter your cohort of colleagues. Realign yourself with the groups and community projects that are a top priority and let the rest, rest for now.

Pay attention to the essentials and save the extra time for your own development.

With Mars in your 9th house of learning, teaching, traveling and seeking out the meaning that makes life worth living, there are many directions pulling at you. This is a time when your efforts and your visions align. Don’t hold yourself back when thinking about your future. Don’t hem yourself in when pondering what is possible for you. Don’t get stuck thinking that you have to stick within a certain course of action.

This is a time for you to color outside the lines.

Let yourself imagine what else might be possible, what you might be missing, what you might be cutting yourself off from for fear of failure or rejection. Then move beyond the fear to sense what might be a workable solution for you.

When all else fails, pray. Do ritual. Do ceremony. Do something that reminds you that what is up to you can be done by you, but what is out of your control is being held by something holy. Be in contact with it.

With Venus in your 12th house of hidden life, good feelings come from the inner work you are able to do. Luxuriate in any peace that you have been able to create within you. Try not to explain it. Dissect it. Deconstruct it. Just appreciate it as much as you can. Like a secret joy. Like something you have for yourself. Like something no one can change, challenge or destroy.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Love yourself enough to know when to edit. Revise. Rework your big plans for life. What version of your career is outdated? What vision of your professional life is in need of a review? What aspects of your professional aspirations are no longer filling you with energy, drive or determination?

It’s OK to change your mind. It’s OK to set a new intention for your work in the world. It’s OK if the job/title/situation in your dream scenario is morphing and meandering into some new shape.

Shapeshifting is what eclipse season is about.

The solar eclipse on February 15th occurs in your 10th house of career and reputation. The thing about this kind of eclipse is that it wants to help you release what isn’t serving your long-term progress.

Exfoliate your professional dreams and goals, scrub clean their true purpose, and reveal the simple message you need to put forth so it might prosper. Use this eclipse to (re)commit to it.

Just before the eclipse takes place, Venus, your ruling planet, begins its month-long excursion through your 11th house of good fortune and friends. Here from February 10th – March 6th, Venus brings you many pleasures and opportunities to connect to those that want to and are capable of supporting your professional ambitions in generative and generous ways. A mutual benefit wants to happen here, so instead of looking up, think of how you can build across your social networks. Who in your groups is also clarifying their purpose and working towards things that align with your aims? With Mars spending the next month and a half in your 8th house of shared resources, it’s the perfect time to get fired up about the right collaborations. You don’t want just any kind of partnership, you want the ones that will be of the greatest mutual benefit possible.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

This month’s solar eclipse sees to it that you remember your right to love your life. Whatever ideas you have developed that get in the way of you knowing that need to go. This eclipse will help you to purge yourself of such sentiments, but it won’t do the heavy lifting for you. It’s up to you to rework your more difficult thought patterns. Your more burdensome beliefs. Your less forgiving philosophies.

Our suffering can situate us in such a way that we are more appreciative of the moments of clarity and conscious awareness that visits us. It can help us to study, in greater depth, the beauty that lives in-between striving for what we want and attaining it. It can help us to remember that planning out parts of our life is important, but that listening to how life demands to be lived at any given moment is a more pressing directive to be aware of.

February’s eclipse affirms some plans while doing away with others. Let your schedule be un-done by the gods of change. You might find that certain goals have different end games in mind than you are interested in achieving. There is no failure in this, only the success of being able to be true to the moment and what it is asking of you.

And it is asking great things of you.

With Venus in your 10th house of career from February 10th through March 6th, your professional position is incredibly favorable. Folks will want to work with you, for you, and alongside you more readily.

Choose your partners well.

This isn’t a make it or break it transit, but it is one that can grease the wheel in such a way that it sends you in an important direction. Notice the career strides that you make this month. Notice what was easy. Enjoyable. Pleasing to your spirit.

With Mars in your 7th house of committed partnerships, you’ll be asked to learn a little more about the fine art of arguing. Just make sure that you are clear about one thing in your relationships: would you rather rather be right or would you rather be happy?

Sometimes you can’t be both. Sometimes the only right thing to do is be gracious. Reserve your energy for the fights that really matter.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

Love is to be found in the meaning that you are able to make out of your experiences. Love is to be found in the processing of your pain, in the way you break it down, in the way you are able to hold a little of it at a time. Love is to be found in the fullness of your experience, by giving yourself permission to find value in the entirety of your journey.

Getting what we want is never the point of pursuing a meaningful life. Loving ourselves through the sorrows and the sweetness, as best we can, is. This month reminds you of the importance of unpacking what has caused you anguish or despair, not so that you can wallow there, but so that you can better work with the material your life is made up of.

Knowing which of our life experiences can be translated into assets is part of how we move consciously towards our life’s calling.

Eclipse season reminds you that it is important to empty out your understanding of what you have to work with from time to time. Most of us get used to our strengths and, dependent on them, we often forget that our growth edges can be incredibly energetic resources to draw from. Notice what you are being challenged to work with, develop and share with others at the moment. If it’s challenging in the right ways, it will motivate you to move beyond your usual limits, creating new channels for success to flow through.

With Mars moving through your 6th house of work projects and health issues for the entirety of February and the first half of March, you have much on your plate to accomplish. This should be a time where considerable effort is put towards completing professional tasks. A professional task that is worth that kind of work. You’ll most likely be inspired to take risks so take time to sharpen your tools. Be bold with your work, but do so in a way that takes incredible skill. This is a time to be impressive with your abilities more than your bravado.

As Venus travels through your 9th house of teaching, learning, and long-term plans, you are encouraged to enjoy the blessings you have acquired along your path. It’s time to share some of your knowledge, share some of your light, share some of your journey thus far. Especially the lessons that you have learned about love and how to love.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Leo & Leo Rising

Love how love changes you. Challenges you to grow up. Encourages you to wake up. This month your relationships, your loves and most precious partners undergo important transformations. These shifts change the nature of your wants and needs. They get you to investigate any demands you might be placing on others, and the demands they may be placing on you. Expectations need to be investigated. Contracts need to be recalculated. Hearts need to be reeducated.

Love left unexamined is left to languish.

Be more interested in what your important partnerships are growing into rather than what you are getting from them. Be more interested in what they need now rather than what they used to be. Be more interested in what this is helping you to develop rather than how it is inconveniencing you.

Because the relationships that are coming to an end will be obvious and explicit. What needs to be released will inform you of its departure. It will not ask for your permission, but it will clarify the importance of what stays.

Work with what is with you.

As Mars spends the next month and a half in your 5th house of creative pursuits and passionate affairs, you get to experiment with new ways of channeling your energy. Don’t be afraid of the raw emotions. In fact, create space for them to flow. Find projects and pursuits where your rage, hunger, and determination can be put to use. Find the right vehicles for the fuel you’ve got to go on.

As Venus rolls through your 8th house of shared resources from February 10th through March 6th, you are able to connect more easily to the funding, collaborators and co-conspirators that you and your projects need. Free your time and energy from what takes more than it gives. Work on respecting the exchanges that have greater ease about them rather then fretting about the ones that leave you frayed. Gather yourself up so that you can give yourself to what works.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

Love wants your attention. It wants your celebration. It wants your invitation.

Have you asked it on a date lately? Offer to pick it up. Take it out. Dress up for it. Stay out late for it. Situate yourself so that you are in front of it.

From February 10th – March 6th, Venus moves through your 7th house of committed partnerships and important relationships. It’s a time where the rock-solids in your life will be more interested in what can be built by sweetness than by stress. Show up for it. Show pleasure a good time. Show your interest to those you find interesting.

The returns will be more than you could count.

Venus wants to help not only your romantic life, but also your business one. See who in your life is curating creatively sound situations to get in on. To offer your energy to. This is a time that, with hard work, could bring in quite a few mutually beneficial bonuses.

And there is much work to do.

The eclipse on February 15th highlights the heavy lifting of your daily chores and duties. It points to some of the restructuring that your work life is undergoing or is in need of. There are innovations that are ready to be implemented in your professional projects.

Don’t delay.

Notice where fear gets in the way of efficiency. Imagine what it would be like to care less about failure. Imagine what it would be like to retire your worry about being liked. Imagine what it would be like to decrease your insecurity about your work, and instead just get busy doing it.

What’s the one thing you wish you had less hesitation about doing? Start there and see what the eclipse can help you outgrow and grow into.

With Mars spending all of February and March in your 4th house of foundations, home and family, much from the depths gets stirred up over the course of the next month. Feelings that usually lie at the base of your life, like sediment, start to swirl around. This mix of the past and present might make you a little sea-sick at times. Old emotions find their way into the present moment. Historically hot topics sear themselves into the ethers around you. All this is for you to work with. Whether it brings up issues in your present home situation or not, there are worm-hole like explorations that you are being asked to go on. Digging around the past leads you to a clearer understanding of your present.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s solar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Libra & Libra Rising

Love needs your willingness to give into it. Love needs your consent. Love needs your commitment so that it can actualize in your life.

Even the smallest nod in its direction can put its wheels in motion. Let it move towards you.

Imagine yourself in front of love. Imagine talking to it. Non-verbally. Non-rationally. Non-linearly. Imagine you are partnered with it. Wherever you are, it is with you. Working through you. Unwilling to leave you to face life on your own.

Imagine what you will allow yourself to create when you really believe this.

Create in love’s honor. In its likeness. In and with its immense power.

This month’s eclipse asks you to review the ways in which you get in the way of your own creativity. When shame overshadows your talent, it is your job to find ways to outsmart its devious devils. You don’t have be healed in order to engage in meaningful work, you just have to be willing to learn how to win at your own games. The solar eclipse helps you to clear out old doubts about your creative capacities so that you can realign yourself with the generative genes you have inherited.

What would your ancestors have created had they the option? Who do you feel is with you now, supporting you to strive and thrive in your present and for a long future to come? Leave some space to communicate with the ancient ones this month. Ask for inspiration. Ask for regeneration. Ask for instructions going forward. Give yourself some time to receive what you might otherwise be too busy to notice.

And you will be busy.

With Mars moving through your 3rd house of daily activity for all of February and the first half of March, you might feel rushed to get things done. Being rushed can often feel like a rush, but remember not to get too intoxicated with being busy. Instead be purposeful. Direct your time and energy towards the things you want to accomplish instead of being directed by the chaos of the day. Set achievable goals for your days while staking claim to your own time...

During January and February I will be writing monthly horoscopes instead of weekly ones. I am cooking up some big things for 2018 and I am grateful for your understanding as the format changes temporarily. I hope that these serve as a resource for the month. For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s lunar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this, or any of my work, you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around. We really appreciate it and you!

Full With The New Year (Full Moon in Cancer – January 1st)

If we want to put out work in the world that moves people, stirs the senses, evokes a resiliency of spirit, creates currents of compassionate change, then we must be willing to heal all the places within us that struggle with those same things. The parts that struggle to find the answers. Struggle to find our way. Struggle to forgive ourselves. Struggle to grow up. Show up. Sit with the discomfort long enough to get the solution.

We must go into those unknown spaces that growth beckons us towards. To forge our path. Find the clues. Feel our way through the journey. Fumble towards the hidden treasures we did not know were awaiting us. Come back to tell the tale of what worked. What didn’t. And what might for others.

We cannot teach what we are not willing to learn.

2018 started us out with a super moon in Cancer which occurred on January 1st at 11° of Cancer. This was a powerful opener and testament to the importance of being in touch with our emotional selves. Our feelings. Our need to understand the psychological undercurrents that guide our actions.

The revolution will be healing. Or not at all.

Cancer’s waters remind us that not all things broken apart heal back together, but if we don’t understand the jagged edges of our inner lives, we will recreate the pain of our pasts.

That much in life is guaranteed.

The full moon reminds us to take the first two weeks of the year to cleanse. Reset. Regroup. We aren’t energetically programmed to respond to the Gregorian calendar. It has no significance save what some men made up a long time ago to keep things on their schedule. Or what we willingly give it. For some, the full moon washes away the need to succeed at and stick to a plan, reminding us of what it means to be connected to sources of comfort, family and food for the body and soul for a time.

As it exhales, Uranus stations direct at 24° of Aries on January 2nd. Uranus’s rebellious disruption mixed with the full moon’s emotional emphasis might remind us that we shouldn’t fall prey to or be pressured by the rantings and ravings of the turn of a calendar. Be on your own time. On time. In time with yourself.

From the Mud Comes Clarity

One of the most interesting astrological events of January is the interplay between Mars and Jupiter in Scorpio, and the sun, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn.

On January 6th, Mars and Jupiter come together to make a conjunction at 17° of Scorpio. On January 8th and 9th, the sun, Venus, and Pluto in Capricorn all collide between 18° and 19°. As these planets come into conjunctions in their respective signs, they all end up sextiling one another over January 8th, 9th, 10th and 15th.

Little themes pick up on bigger ones, concocting a powerful potion.

Mars and Jupiter conjunct in Scorpio is a faith in one’s force to forge a path towards success. Mars is the ruler of Scorpio, and therefore injects Jupiter with a super power. Mars in Scorpio reveals our ability to succeed at a daunting situation. In secret. In all seriousness. Mars in Scorpio is compelling. Empowered. Enshrined in subterranean smarts. Mars in Scorpio is an undercover warrior. It is psychologically astute, able to cut to the core of an unconscious pattern or a taboo no one else will touch with a ten foot pole.

Mars in Scorpio will go there.

With Jupiter in the mix, the spells cast are magnified in their power. Jupiter makes bigger what it touches. Makes more exaggerated what it teams up with. Makes more, period. More Mars in Scorpio is nothing to take for granted or use unconsciously. But it is good fuel to put in the reserves so that we are able to go the distance for our desires.

As these two tango in the area of your chart that contains Scorpio, the sun, Venus and Pluto all collide in Capricorn. Their current ruler, Saturn, is also present to amplify the power of these planets. The sun, Venus and Pluto in conjunction thread together themes of relationship renewals. Underworld journeys with our loved ones. Our creative process. Our values. Pluto promises a transformation. Venus, a heart to heart. The sun, illumination and individuation. All in Saturn’s sign, these planets follow up on the important lessons of personal boundaries we were introduced to late December.

Love yourself enough to say no to what isn’t right for you. Case closed. Final sale. No returns.

A sextile between these two sets of planets means that there is something incredibly helpful occurring in the areas of your chart that contain Scorpio and Capricorn. With both benefics (Venus and Jupiter), as well as both malefics (Mars and Saturn, though Saturn not by exact aspect) involved, this help isn’t always going to appear chipper.

Scorpio is a water sign, but it’s more of a thick muddy water than a clear stream flowing. Rich with minerals and strange bottom feeders, Scorpio teaches us to sit with the gruesome in order to get the gift.

Capricorn is an earth sign, but it deals more effectively with hardships than it does with high hopes. It would rather do the impossible than hang out with the convenient. Capricorn, and especially Saturn in Capricorn, teach us to align our actions with our commitments no matter if we feel like doing so. Purpose gives our life clarity. Saturn splits no hairs when making clear that our purpose is to commit to what will challenge us to no end and ultimately bring us the greatest reward.

What happens during these weeks reverberates through the year as Jupiter in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn move in and out of a sextile with one another from January to September of 2018.

Renewed Commitments (New Moon in Capricorn – January 16th)

The first new moon of the year occurs on January 16th at 6:17 PM PT at 26° of Capricorn. This is the first new moon in the sea-goat’s sign since its ruler, Saturn, returned to it. This new moon acts like an initiation of sorts. We have lived with Saturn in Capricorn for a moment, but this new moon will make the relationship official. Seal the deal. Sanctify the ceremony.

Whatever you are serious about getting serious about, this new moon is your ticket to commit. Sitting with Venus, the new moon reminds us that all life is relationship and anything that we are in relationship with needs to know our intentions. Set yours and stick to them. Through thick and thin.

This new moon will end up growing itself into the first full moon and eclipse of the year. With this new moon, eclipse season is officially here. Get ready for the next go-round of changes, upgrades and upsets to the apple cart. Eclipses are a wild card that set major events in motion. What takes place around these times are fated in nature so watch what comes. As well as what leaves.

A Change of Heart and Heat

After the new moon, both Venus and Mars change sign. Venus moves into cool-headed Aquarius on January 17th (there until February 10th) and Mars into free-wheeling Sagittarius on January 26th (there until March 17th). Still in supportive aspect to one another, these two move from the emotional/practical realms into the inquiring/inspiring ones.

The Show Must Go On (Total Lunar Eclipse in Leo – January 31st)

Not to be outdone by any other cosmic signature, the grand finale of January is a total lunar eclipse in Leo. Occurring on January 31st at 5:37 AM at 11° of Leo, a total lunar eclipse will turn the full moon red and our egos on full blast. This eclipse is a show stopper that picks up on the themes of 2017’s eclipses. This is the third eclipse we’ve experienced in Leo over the course of a year. There are still two more to go over the course of the next.

That puts us in the center of our Leo eclipse lessons.

The part of your chart that contains Leo has already been privy to the dramatic tales these eclipses are telling. Now it’s time for the next chapter. Get your crowns on, Kitty Cats. This eclipse wants to take you deeper into the lessons of living out your glory.

Each one of us must be the ruler of our own lives. The Leo eclipse hands you the keys to your castle, but only you can walk in and claim your throne.

Aries & Aries Rising

The year starts out with a full moon in Cancer that reminds you of the importance of grounding. Rooting. Getting stable in yourself and in your home life before you set out to accomplish the tremendous tasks that 2018 has in store for you. This full moon reverberates through the fist few days and weeks of the new year, so if you feel less inclined to rush, you are in the right place.

Rest when and where you can. Get to your resolutions when you’ve filled up your adrenals. Get yourself situated. Get comfortable. This year is a marathon. In this astrological climate, races are for the foolish.

By the end of the first week of January and well into the second week of it, you are given a tremendous boon via your collaborators and co-conspirators. From January 5th- 16th, dedicate your time and energy to those that want to co-grow. Flourish together. Find ways towards mutual benefit with no bullshit.

This is no time for niceties.

This is time for real effort. Raw emotion. Ambition put to compassionate use. Take note of who is around that wants to help you rock your work life. Make professional strides. Make waves crash and mountains move. As Jupiter and Mars collide in Scorpio, your partnerships have a steady undercurrent of strength to draw from. Be willing to be as honest with yourself and your collaborators as you can. Intense feelings are bound to erupt. Hold them with a conscious compassion. This is a transformative process that requires as much action as reflection.

As the sun, Venus, and Pluto make a conjunction in Capricorn from January 7th – 10th, your career becomes a hot spot to hone in on. Which of your values are you able to fully express professionally? Which are transforming? Which are leading you into a deeper connection with your craft? Venus wants to connect you to the partners and collaborators that can renew your faith in your work.

The new moon in Capricorn on January 16th agrees.

This new moon asks you to take a next-level approach to your professional commitments. That means giving up any outdated identities that are keeping you from discovering what else is professionally possible for you. Your main career is to be sincerely you, wherever you can, whatever you are doing. The form that you pour yourself into can change a million times over.  Find the best fit for this moment. This self. This creative potential.

The full moon and total lunar eclipse in Leo on January 31st echoes this sentiment. Occurring in your 5th house of creative projects, lovers, children and all manner of playful excursions, this eclipse wants you to free yourself from the inhibitions that curb your ability to find solutions. Step out of your own expectations. Allow yourself to take off the heavy burden of accomplishment for a moment come the end of the month. This eclipse wants you to immerse yourself in the fires of your creative force, burning away the fears that keep you stuck in self-doubt. It wants to help you believe that you can (re)create your life as you need it to be and then encourage you to boldly make your mark in honor of the blood moon.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s lunar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

Much of the beginning of 2018 encourages you to partner with those that lift your spirits. Show you new worlds. Bring you to places and spaces that remind you of the possibilities for living life with greater awareness of what is, instead of worry about what hasn’t yet happened.

Don’t miss what life is bringing you.

In order to make sure that you get on board with your current journey, it’s helpful to understand how to spot the opportunities when they arrive. What hurts at first can heal you if you work with it. Don’t be fooled into thinking that you are doomed when you are merely doing the work of awakening. The eclipse on January 31st stirs up your deepest memories. Your densest feelings. Your most daunting demons.

But they are here to help.

They want you to understand the strength that you inherited. The strength that you developed. The strength that you are born from and that you will go back to. Your issues might push you around, but ultimately they want you to push back. Remembering that you don’t run on a deficit. You come from a source of unending, unyielding strength. Power. Capability. Uncompromising creativity.

Hang out with the folks that remind you of such resources.

As Jupiter and Mars come together on January 6th, you are reminded of the power of the right combinations. When we are with the right people, life lives itself. Lifts up what is too heavy on our own. Opens up what was shut down within us. Take note of the partners that are helping you stretch your understanding of your role in the world, and the world’s role in your life.

The world promises you nothing, but gives you a place to give yourself everything.

As the sun, Venus and Pluto collide in Capricorn, just before the new moon takes place in their company, you get to witness which of your ideas about life are transforming. Our relationship to our life is mostly dependent on what we make meaning of. It takes discipline and dedication to understand what meaning our life holds. It takes a willingness to sit with the struggle. The pain. Shame. Fear. Doubt. But the less you allow yourself to be derailed in doing so, the less likely you are to suffer. The more you dedicate yourself to the philosophies that soothe your sorrows, while at the same time awakening your appetite to work, grow and gather what you need, the more likely you are to feel power over your life.

One of the greatest lessons we can ever learn is that when we treat each difficulty as an invitation, rather than a curse, we come out far richer and more aware of our strength, power and true success. This month aims to help you make up your mind about yours.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s lunar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

This year starts out with a full moon in your 2nd house of income, assets and resources. It illuminates what you have been working so hard to gather and get ready. It helps you start the year with a knowledge of your gifts and the good time it takes to ready them to do their thing in the world. 2018 wants you to know what you have to work with so that you can put it to good use in all your collaborations.

As January unfolds, it helps you to develop something important in your work life. Something like resolve. Determination. A need to investigate and integrate the power that you might normally shop out for others to cash in on.

Own your efforts.

Early to mid January wants you to become determined about your professional desires coming to fruition. Or at least to an advanced place. With Jupiter and Mars colliding in your 6th house, your work life and physical routines get infused with an unstoppable power. What are you working on achieving? What do you feel an extra ounce of confidence about? What are you getting clear on pursuing in your professional life?

Do so without doubt or fear that it’s foolish to believe so fully in a desire.

Your collaborators want to know that you take your abilities and your pursuits of passion seriously. They want to know that you honor the work you put out into the world. That you know the value of what you give to your projects. It increases trust. Engenders loyalty. Supports sustainable partnerships.

Deepen your commitments to the collaborations that show you the same.

The new moon in Capricorn on January 16th solidifies this sentiment. It asks you to initiate some aspect of your collaborative work. Clear debts. Restart your year with a renewed commitment to working with resources in the most efficient, concise and responsible way possible. Make the agreements that inspire you to stick with them come good times and difficult.

On January 31st we get the first full moon and eclipse of the year. The blood moon sheds its intriguing light on your day to day schedule, rituals and communications. This eclipse is bound to bring you messengers bearing important news. It is also quite capable of illuminating your own words, so choose them carefully. This eclipse helps you to understand which parts of your communications and your daily life need adjustments. Some rituals might need to be edited from your schedule. Some sentiments might need to be edited from your repertoire. Don’t be afraid to let go of what doesn’t raise your energy, keep you on track or soothe your soul.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s lunar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

The new year starts out with a full moon in your sign. Like a wink from the cosmos, you can tell that 2018 likes you. Or at least aims to push you towards your potential.

Or both.

Most of the urging for your growth comes through the commitments that you are able to make, and, more importantly, keep to others. Find worthy partners who share your ideas of success. Find those that share your values. Find those that want to create a life that makes you want to leap out of bed in the morning. Or stay in it cuddling all day.

Please your priorities.

As the sun, Venus and Pluto all pile up in Capricorn, with Saturn sitting close enough to lend supportive yet stern guidance, you are being asked to choose the partnerships that will transform you. Push you to push yourself. Make you want to become more committed to your own development.

This is not a process that you can control. Or evade. It’s an authentic journey that leads you into territory you may have been too timid to enter before.

But you are stronger now.

The new moon in Capricorn on January 16th concurs. From January 6th to the 16th, your astrology is brimming with the possibilities of important engagements and promises to others. You need to be clear, concise and honest with them. You need them to be clear, concise and honest with you, too.

Nothing kills the mood like the inability to be direct.

As Jupiter and Mars come together for the first half of the month, you’ll be taking a deep dive into your creative process. Shutting out the rest of the world for a time. Taking a moment to connect to the subterranean knowledge that you have collected over the years.

What wisdom lies within the layers? What gold might be mined? What are you given the opportunity to connect with through creative, romantic and interpersonal ties?

With the lunar eclipse on January 31st comes the opportunity to understand your creative potential and what kinds of payouts it promises. It brings with it the illumination of your talents. Highlighting the assets that most want to be accessed. Bringing to fruition certain aspects of your projects.

But not everything is ready to be announced.

It’s easy to talk about what we want to do. Harder to just shut up and do it. Speak on the things that you have done. Keep what you are working on under wraps. Give your creations time to take their own shape. In their own pace. In their own time. Give them a chance to show you what they’ve got so you can best know what to give them as the year gets going.

For more information on how the astrology of 2018, including this month’s lunar eclipse, will impact your sign, I’ve got a 1 hour recording for you in 2018: The Year Ahead For Your Sign.

Leo & Leo Rising

The blood moon on January 31st raises your temperature. Speeds up your heart rate. Has you deepening your understanding of what you desire and how to drive your life towards that aim.

The whole of January sets you up for the Leo eclipse lessons. The nature of which comes into focus as you work through the month’s themes. Things are now weighty with consequences. Heavy with significance. Drenched in importance.

This month you will be called to answer life’s questions with intense honesty.

If your actions have been in alignment with your goals, the eclipse will bring with it a sense of empowerment. Encouragement. Energetic reinforcement.

If you have been going against your own spiritual grain, the eclipse will strip away any false hopes you are fostering, leaving your motives naked. Revealed. Leaving you reawakened to the need to move towards your truth, tracking it with all the awareness you’ve got to give it.

You have the entire month of January to get on board with the grand eclipse plan. If you need to turn something around, do so with sincerity and swiftness.

Now.

The rest of the month has a penetrating gaze on home, family and foundational issues. As Jupiter and Mars come into a conjunction in your 4th house, you’ll have a strong desire to weed out the deeply entrenched and inherited patterns that aren’t doing you any favors. Sometimes we just need to make a decision to cut ties with what is energetically draining before we know how to do so. The instructions will come once you are clear on what you want...

Growing up

On December 19th, 2017, just days before the Solstice, Saturn entered Capricorn. Every 2.5 years or so, Saturn enters a new sign, encouraging us to own our stories in a specific style and area of our lives.

Here until 2020, Saturn in Capricorn will be teaching us a great many things about the effort it takes to mature and the importance of making that effort without expectation of what will be received. To Saturn in Capricorn, the work is the reward. Self-respect is the reward. Mastery is the reward.

No matter what sign Saturn is in, this is what The Taskmaster teaches, but in Capricorn the message is loud and clear: Be the boss of your business or be bossed by those that can’t mind their own.

Happy Solstice.

Capricorn

Capricorn is one of Saturn’s home signs. In astrology, the signs are the style in which a planet expresses itself. When a planet is in one of its own signs it operates with uncompromised strength. Capricorn’s style is traditional. Relentless. Hard working. Ambitious. Determined. Prudent. Unfazed by flash-in-the-pan-success strategies, Capricorn is in this to win a life-long journey.

From beginning to end.

Saturn

Saturn conserves. Constrains. Controls. Criticizes. Reserves. Rejects. Realizes. Separates. Creates austere environments that force us to toughen up. Saturn brings realism, works with the material realm, is heavy and sometimes so burdensome it’s unbearable.

That is until we acquire the psychological strength to lift its weight.

In solitude, Saturn in Capricorn thrives. An extroverts worst nightmare, some transits from Saturn force us inward, or at least cut us off from external distractions. Transiting Saturn in hard aspect (squares, oppositions and some conjunctions) to our natal chart can feel punishing at first, but ultimately defining and transformative. Whipping us into adulthood like a spiritual trainer that won’t let you complain about the conditions, Saturn’s bootcamp is no joke.

If you have planets or points (ascendant, descendant, midheaven, IC or nodes) between 0° and 11° of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn, Saturn will square, oppose or conjunct them at some point over the next year. To find out exactly when that might be, look at the degree of the planets in question in your chart and then look up when Saturn will get to that degree. If you have planets out points in these signs that are between 12° – 29°, Saturn won’t reach them until 2019 or 2020. Here’s a little breakdown of what you might expect:

  • If you have planets or points between 0° – 11° of Aries, Saturn will Square them at some point over the next year. Squares cause friction, require action and generally feel irritating but activating. Squares from Saturn can feel, at times, impossible as the options to take action can seem so limited. However, in the end, Saturn’s squeeze can force us to face and conquer what we would otherwise avoid altogether. If your natal Saturn is in Aries, the next 3 years mark Saturn’s last square to itself (before it makes another return to its natal position). This is a transit that is about releasing old structures that no longer serve the overall architecture of your life. Much will need to be composted and repurposed. Trust in what you are guided to let go of. Know that this will ultimately help you distill your learning down to a seed of wisdom to be replanted on your next Saturn return.
  • If you have planets or points between 0° – 11° of Cancer, Saturn will oppose them at some point over the next three years. An opposition from Saturn is best met with a deep dedication to our work. It is a call to take on something formidable and defining. As if Saturn’s steely gaze fall’s directly upon us, we know that without a shadow of a doubt that it is time to step up our game, get in the ring and show up with all we’ve got. If your natal Saturn is in Cancer you are in your Saturn opposition. These next 3 years mark the half way point between one Saturn return and the next. This is a moment where you get to witness the growth of your intention set 14 or so years ago. This is a time to fulfill the promises that you made to yourself, illuminating the life lessons you have learned thus far.
  • If you have planets or points between 0° – 11° of Libra, Saturn will square them at some point over the next year. Squares cause friction, require action and generally feel irritating but activating. Squares from Saturn can feel, at times, impossible as the options to take action can seem so limited. However, in the end, Saturn’s squeeze can force us to face and conquer what we would otherwise avoid altogether. If your natal Saturn is in Libra, you are in your fist quarter Saturn square. These next 3 years are an incredibly important time period for you. It takes the seed intention that you planted at your Saturn return about 7 years ago and asks you to take decisive action towards its fulfillment. Much will have to be released in order to do so. Great focus is required, but will ultimately help you define yourself for yourself.
  • If you have planets or points between 0° – 11° of Capricorn Saturn will conjoin them at some point over the next year. A conjunction from Saturn reshapes us. The weight of it forces us to contend with what we have put off, what we weren’t ready to deal with, what we are only know mature enough to cope with. Saturn conjunct a planet or point in our natal chart grows us up. Stops us in our tracks. Restructures our lives in significant ways. If you have natal Saturn in Capricorn please read about it below.

Saturn Return

Every 29.5 years, Saturn returns to the same place. That means that at the end of our 20’s, 50’s and 80’s we go through a Saturn return. The first is possibly the most shocking, as well as the most commonly spoken of.

It’s the most shocking because it’s the first time Saturn, one of the most challenging planets we work with, comes back to our natal placement. Shocking because it’s a reality check. Shocking because, for the first time, our mortality starts to dawn on us in a way that is rooted in our physical experience.

No matter how cute you are, you too will get old and die.

The first Saturn return asks us to define ourselves for ourselves. Not for our family. Not for society. Not for any fantasy anyone else has of us. It’s a time of separating ourselves out from our conditioning enough to appreciate the beautiful aspects of it, as well as what we need to do away with. Those of you born in the late 80’s and early 90’s will either have Neptune or both Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn along with your Saturn. This is an incredibly inventive (Uranus) and fantastical (Neptune) combination to have with the deity of realism. Your cohort’s Saturn return is about manifesting what will innovate our systems and what will dissolve the barriers that capitalism upholds. It’s a little messy and hard to get a hold of but it awakens previously unforeseen realities and possibilities for the future.

The second Saturn return occurs at the end of our 50’s, encouraging us to move into more of a mentorship role. Now we are supposed to turn towards those entering their first Saturn return and offer the wisdom we have gathered since then as a guidepost. This is a time of moving into eldership, something our society desperately needs to cultivate an appreciation for.

The Saturn return that occurs at the end of our 80’s is one that gathers the wisdom of our life, distilling it into pearls of wisdom to be left like seeds for future generations.

If you have Saturn in Capricorn you are officially in your Saturn return from the moment Saturn enters Capricorn to the moment it exits. Not all astrologers will agree with that sentiment, but I consider the entire 3 years of Saturn’s journey through Capricorn to be your Saturn return. The weeks and months that transiting Saturn is at the exact degree as your natal Saturn will be the most informative, perhaps even the most intense, but the entire 3 years will have a theme to them that will be very discernible once the entire transit has past. Pay attention to the house that your Saturn return is occurring in. Look for how Saturn is shaping those areas of your life.

Saturn in Aspect

While in Capricorn, Saturn has no major aspects in 2018 though it remains in a near, but never fully compete, trine to Uranus in Taurus over the summer of 2018. This will encourage our innovative spirit in regards to the utilization of the earth’s resources. Uranus in Taurus could create an incredible creativity in regards to how we work with the material realm.

If we use the transit wisely.

If not, it may encourage less egalitarian forces to manipulate resources through taking advantage of shocking events. Disasters brought on by climate change will be used against us, astrology or not. The disrupting and dangerous nature of them will easily be used to control us and convince us to relinquish our rights if we aren’t careful.

Come 2020, Saturn will make a conjunction to Pluto that will redefine our financial systems. Of course every day of Saturn in Capricorn leading up to that transit will define it, so we might say that it would be impossible to underestimate the impact of these next two years on all things associated with finances, resources, governmental structures, and how we work with them. And against them.

The desire to control capital will most likely be at an all-time high during the next three years and the rights we have seen threatened will be even more vulnerable to corruption. We could lose much in terms of autonomy and freedom unless we are vigilant about defending access to resources for all.

Saturn Retrograde

Every year Saturn spends about 5 months of the time retrograde. Since Saturn governs our slow growth and difficult lessons, its retrograde period is always a helpful one where we can check to see if life is lining up with our ultimate goals.

Saturn will station retrograde on April 17th at 9° of Capricorn and station direct on September 6th at 2° of Capricorn.

These horoscopes speak to the first year of Saturn’s transit through Capricorn. You may want to refer to them periodically throughout 2018. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. Take what works for you, leave the rest. Aries & Aries Rising

As Saturn enters your 10th house of career, reputation and public life, you are initiated into a 3 year process of professionalism. Boss-ness. Whatever you are able to define for yourself in your career during this time will impact your professional pursuits for decades to come.

Part of this process will involve you following the clues, signs and signals that Saturn will be laying out for you. Clarity will come, but only a little at a time. Piece by piece. Brick by brick.

The only thing you need to do is answer the professional call that is loud and clear.

To bring yourself into being through this process, you will labor like you’ve never known. But if you make love the motivation, the monuments you build will become a healing shelter. A space for transformation to occur. A cauldron that can transmute fear into fierce love.

Make your work into a practice of self-realization. Make it a place where you practice what you preach. Make it a place where you practice pouring yourself into structures of integrity.

Nothing cures heart-break quite like applying yourself to what you believe in.

Let Saturn teach you that part of the process of mastery is feeling like a fool. Fucking up. Finding a way through the shame and fear that arise when we cross a threshold into a new level of our abilities. Let Saturn’s harshness help you not take personally what isn’t. Saturn teaches us how to create sturdy boundaries. Knowing what isn’t about us saves such incredible amounts of time. Days. Months. Years. Eons. Massive amounts of energy we can redirect towards the things that need our attention, love and care. Knowing how to channel our efforts, energy and fierce heart is half the battle of becoming a grown, professional person that can help the planet progress.

Never underestimate that part of Saturn’s teaching to you.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

As Saturn ventures into your 9th house of travel, teaching, learning, long-term planning, spiritual experiences and religious rights of passage, you are being called to dedicate yourself to a larger vision of your life.

The skies are wide open, even if the path is steep and severe at times.

What you commit to learning over the next three years will serve as a source of intellectual, spiritual and philosophical wealth from which you will be able to draw upon for decades to come.

Make sure that you choose what is worthy of your efforts. Worthy of your time. Worthy of your energy.

Sign up for the doctorate program that will make you a master of yourself.

It need not grant you a piece of paper upon graduating, just a sense of having accomplished something intellectually, spiritually or philosophically satiating. Choose what’s difficult but defining. Challenging but affirming. Ambitious but meaningful. Consider what you might need to learn in order to move your professional life along in the long-run. Consider where you want to get to within the next 3 years. Consider what steps you can take now to make that a possibility.

Saturn’s transit through your 9th house will teach you a great many things about following through. Stating your cause and staying your course. Throughout the year, keep refocusing yourself on your intention. We don’t always feel like doing what is necessary to attain our goals, but we don’t need to feel like doing it in order to. We just need to do what we can as often as possible. Do that repeatedly over the next 12 months and you’ll be surprised at how far you travel.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

As Saturn’s transit through your 8th house gets underway, you’ll become more familiar with the intricacies of how giving and receiving impacts your projects, successes, and sense of self.

Life is an incredibly intricate exchange of energy. Ideas. Resources. Saturn wants to help you clarify what you need from others and what you have to give to them. The next three years will help you understand who is the best fit for your formula.

Look for the collaborations that are capable of building with you. The unions that potentiate you. The relationships that seem to open up energetic pockets of possibility. Look at the bonds between you and others that help you take what you have and turn it into something beyond what you could conceive of on your own. The arrangements that hold you accountable while inspiring you to do things you thought were only reserved for fancy people.

You are just as dashing, dazzling and desirable as anyone else on this earth and the right collaborators will awaken this within you.

Your job now is to uncover your gifts so that they can attract impossibly good matches. Part of this uncovering process is confronting the aspects of yourself that have a harder time healing. The parts that have been trained to give away the things you need to keep for yourself. The sorrows your mind gets stuck on. The grief that has yet to be fully grieved. The shadows that are cast by any fear that has gone unchecked. These next three years will help you reclaim the energy you may have lost along the way. Energy you may not have ever had full access to. Energy that you have every right to. Know that each watt you are able to reclaim will give you the strength and encouragement to do so again. And again. Helping you to understand how best to reinvest it and how best to manage the incredible wealth you have within.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

Astrology is a map of time. A map that tells us when certain themes will be amped up. A map that tell us when certain needs will withdraw. A map that tells us when to go and when to slow.

Saturn is a builder that takes its time. An architect that is interested in erecting monuments that can withstand the force of the ages. A constructor of consideration and appreciation for a thorough process.

Over the next 3 years, Saturn will take you through the hallways, cathedrals and secret rooms of your most important relationships.

Love needs a home.

Saturn wants to help you build places of uncompromising honesty so that your partnerships have a chance to grow. Earnestly. So that your combined accomplishments have a place to take root. Eternally. So that the lessons your heart learns move you in the directions that are most nourishing for you. Sweetly and solidly.

The more you show up for others, the more you’ll understand what you have to give in order to make a prosperous partnership. The more you’ll understand who is able to give what you need. The more you’ll understand who is able to withstand the pressure that healing places on a structure.

Stick with those that are willing to do the work alongside you.

Commit to the relationships that increase your commitment to your own healing. That make you want to do and be better. That won’t take any of your excuses. That won’t entertain your nonsense. That honor your boundaries and their own.

Commit to your growth by choosing, repeatedly, to do the work your partnerships place in your path. Be them love or business, whomever you are working closely with is giving you all you need to get yourself together and to the next level of your learning.

Leo & Leo Rising

Honor it. The hard work that goes into your everyday life. The efforts that you make regularly. The yearning that you have to accomplish something of meaning through all your efforts.

It’s time.

To find your resolve to get things done. To find a way around the obstacles in your path. To find what you can apply yourself to and do so without apprehension. Doubt may visit you. Might ask if this is the right work for you. Might try and make you think that it would be safer not to try. But doubt is a key component of success. Doubt itself is never the problem.

It’s doubting the importance of doing the work that gets us into trouble.

When in doubt do what you can with what you’ve got. With Saturn’s 3-year transit through your 6th house, your best efforts will lift you out of any situation that is ill-fitting for you. Your best efforts will get you noticed. Your ability to be as accurate, skillful and dedicated as possible to what you are doing will help you move professional mountains.

It will also help your professional partnerships.

The more you show up as a serious contender, the more folks will be waiting in the wings to get in the ring with you. The more you see yourself as someone in the process of becoming a master of your craft, the quicker your teachers and students will show up to guide and be guided by you. The more you say yes to the track that gets you on the path to your destiny, the sooner you’ll feel the wheels of your own industriousness at work.

Time waits for no one, so stop waiting for the right moment to give it what you’ve got. This is it.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

Corral it without trying to control it. Put it to work without exhausting it. Shape it without forcing it.

Your creative energy wants to be courted. Enticed. Treated like the divine temptress that it is. With Saturn transiting your 5th house of creative energy, projects, pursuits, children and romantic partnerships for the next 3 years, it’s time to commit to pleasure as a practice of self-actualization.

It takes discipline to get the best out of our creative selves. Technique needs to be learned. Hours spent pondering the blank canvas of our creations. Weeks spent retracing a single curve. Months spent rehearsing and reworking what we will eventually give to the audiences we have access to. Years spent trying to achieve the strength to appear light as a feather in our most concerted efforts.

But if the discipline turns into drudgery we can end up with a kink in the creative current. You’ll have to navigate the delicate balance of effort and ease. Discipline and down time. Directing and delighting.

Saturn wants to help you realize the power you have to manifest yourself in the material world. A whole new appreciation for what you are able to create emerges as you work with this energy. A whole new understanding of what is possible with dedicated focus and determination.

What we consciously choose to bring into form, however, will also teach us the most about our feelings of lack, self-doubt and despair. These feelings are a naturally occurring part of having a creatively engaged life. These feelings are usually indicative of our growth. As we push past our limitations into new realms of experience and opportunity, old fears..

Astrology of the Week

Tuesday, December 12th

Mercury makes its inferior conjunction to the sun at 21° of Sagittarius

Friday, December 15th

Mercury conjunct Venus at 17° of Sagittarius

Saturday, December 16th

Sun in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries, both at 24°

Sunday, December 17th

10:30 PM – New Moon at 26° of Sagittarius

This week’s new moon in Sagittarius marks the end of a (mini) era.

Saturn is about to change signs.

But before it does, the new moon wants us to ponder the last moments of Saturn’s transit through the faith-filled fire sign. Happening right next to Saturn in Sagittarius, the new moon asks us to meditate on the meaning of all that we’ve experienced from the Deity of Demanding Life Lessons over the past 3 years.

If you have natal planets or important astrological points in Sagittarius, these past 3 years have been handing you especially potent lessons. Saturn teaches boundaries. Responsibility. Rigor. Hard work that hopefully helps us to attain a much deeper understanding of ourselves and our capacities.

Saturn will be leaving the wild fields of Sagittarius just days after the new moon. Saturn will then begin its once every 30 years (give or take a few) transit through Capricorn. With Mercury, Venus, the sun and moon all colliding with one another in Sagittarius this week, so close to Saturn, the emphasis stays, for now, in the part of our chart that contains this sign.

As Mercury and the sun come together, they mark the heart of Mercury’s retrograde journey.  The beginning of the week offers us important insights into the nature of our current life lessons. Deep in its underworld journey, Mercury tells us tales of what lies beneath the surface of our personality. Beneath the surface of our life events. Beneath the surface of our reactions to them.

Life is a mythical journey that we all have to learn to interpret for ourselves. Rarely can we take things at face value. Almost always, we need to research the underlying meaning of the events we experience if we want to live in a deeper accordance with them.

Mercury’s inferior conjunction to the sun assists us with this kind of contemplation.

Later in the week as Venus conjuncts Mercury, a spoonful of sugar is added to the cosmic concoction. Reminding us to use sweeter sentiments to get our message across, Venus can help us connect to the work we have to do and enjoy what we can while doing so.

As the sun sits oh so close to Saturn while it makes a trine to Uranus, right before the new moon, we are reminded of the freedom that comes when we make commitments that encourage our growth and enable our evolution.

Stay steadily serving what holds you to your greater good.

*Your new moon affirmation horoscopes are meant to help reset your commitments and intentions for the next lunar cycle. Please change the phrasing of the words as you need to so that they resonate with you. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. Aries & Aries Rising

I commit to the truth. As I know it in this moment. As I feel it in my body. As it resonates in my bones.

I commit to it even when it is inconvenient. I align myself with it. Aquire the discipline to be dedicated to it. I am the only one who can help myself grapple with the things in life that are painful upfront but liberating to integrate down the line.

I’m not afraid of having to separate out what I want to be true from what is.

Maturity comes when I can accept life on its own terms. My agency is revealed when I work within the situation surrounding me. Magic occurs when I remember that even though there’s more to life than the material, I need to know where I am in order to work with the elements available to me.

Sunday’s new moon reminds me of the importance of reviewing the lengths that I have traveled thus far. The education that I received over the last 3 years. The effort I made to get the grade. The incredible amount of self-development these years have required of me.

This new moon is my graduation. Marks my completion. Certifies the inner strength that I have had to develop in order to keep true to myself and honest with the truth. I proudly claim my certificate before rising off onto the next adventure.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

With this new moon I call in gratitude for what has gone. I call in a deep appreciation for what has departed naturally. I call on the inner strength that I have cultivated over the past three years. Strength that has allowed me a deeper appreciation of the revolving door of life.

Everything will pass through the gates of my life. In this I trust.

I remember that finding the right fit for collaborations takes time. It’s easy to get swept up in the sweetness of new meetings, but only over seasons, years and a vast array of situations can anyone know the true strength of a combination. I give thanks for the patience I have learned when considering who to merge myself with and how.

I am in no rush to enter a bad mach.

With this new moon I call in the partners who will ask me to rise to the next level of my creative capacity. Those that will arouse my curiosity. Those that will give me just enough to inspire my desire to give them back more. I call in the tough but loving teachers who make me want to do it myself. Those that inspire me to bring more of what I’ve got so that I have a better understanding of what I am capable of.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

As I look back over the last 3 years, I am grateful for all the lessons I have had to learn in my partnerships. Grateful for the affection received as it has taught me how to open to more sweetness within me. Grateful for the painful points in my growth cycle, as it all directed me towards what I can do to heal myself more thoughtfully. Grateful for the boundaries that were set, as they have taught me how to respect myself in ways I didn’t know I had the right to. Grateful to those that speak to the evolving part of me. Those that know not to take my temper at face value. Those that know I’m better than my worst moments. Those that call on me to grow into the person I am destined to be.

I now know that no one can carry my burden for me, but I am in deep appreciation of those that hold it with me. Those that appreciate the ways in which I have had to carry it. Those that understand my potential beneath it. Beyond it. Because of it.

I’m even grateful for the rejection. As it has helped me to accept more of myself. Unconditionally. Without reservation. Without hesitation. No matter who else does, I choose myself.

Everyday.

With Sunday’s new moon, I rededicate myself to showing up in partnerships as someone committed to my individual growth. Because I know that when I don’t, I’m no good to anyone else.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

I honor the habits that help me hone my skills. I honor the schedules that I need to work within. I honor the effort that it takes to bring my work into being.

But none of that is possible unless I honor my personal boundaries while in professional settings. My physical self as well as my productive self. My trade as well as the tools I need for it. This new moon helps me to remember that in order to make work that has integrity, I have to be in a respectful relationship with myself.

My boundaries do not come and go with the demands made upon me. Rewards awarded to me. Misdirected desires for recognition, attention or love within me. I work with this new moon to develop the kind of boundaries that can hold my center no matter what.

These are lessons that I have been learning over the past few years. Lessons on how to be professional. How to be reliable with my work. How to be consistent with the crafts that keep my life afloat. I honor the fact that this isn’t always an easy process, but one that is always incredibly important to go through. I can look back on the past 3 years and marvel at the work that I have been able to accomplish as well as the discipline I have been able to develop. I am grateful for both the opportunity to do so and the willingness that arises within me to meet the challenge.

Leo & Leo Rising

With this new moon I heal the parts of my heart that have grown cynical. Despondent. Disheartened. I take this opportunity to notice what is stagnant in my soul.  Unchanged in my problems. Unaddressed in my complaints.

I reclaim responsibility for my well-being.

With this new moon I notice the places where I stop myself from experiencing joy. Fun. Feeling good. I contemplate why this might be. Wondering if and how I can help myself get a little more free. Wondering how I might say no to what leaves me too drained to enjoy creating my days. Wondering how I might help myself remember that life isn’t something happening to me.

We are occurring together.

I recommit to witnessing the power of my impact. I reclaim the fact that I change the world by simply being in it. I remember that I am an artist weaving my story through time. Threaded through the fabric of it. Essential to the entirety of it. With this new moon I remember not to take for granted the impact of my creative work or the impact of my joyful self-expression.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

With this new moon I call my energy in. I find my base. My center. My place to call home. I look back at the past 3 years and marvel at the work that I have gotten done. The emotional floorboards I have laid down. The cornerstones I have been able to build a life around. The family issues I have been able to put in perspective.

It’s impossible to heal everything all at once, but it’s even harder to heal what I have no distance from.

I allow all relatives, housemates and living partners to have their own path. I’m not here to save anyone. I’m not here to take away their lessons, learning or journey. I am simply here to support myself in the ways that I can. If doing so helps create healthy connections with others then it is a sweet byproduct of what I am already dedicated to. If doing so helps to show others that it is possible for them too, I am happy about it. But I allow that process to have its own speed. I don’t need my healing to have any other impact than what I already receive.

With this new moon I continue to steadily supply myself with my needs. Helping myself find the anchors that keep me connected through the storms of life. Assisting my self-awareness so that I know where I’m coming from and where I can return to at any given time.

Libra & Libra Rising

With this new moon I call my days into order. I count the hours I have to work with. I make space for the breaks I’ll need to take to refuel. I honor the tempo that I operate best at.

I clean up my calendar so that I am as efficient as possible. I say no to what I don’t have time for. What can’t help me get ahead. What won’t deepen my relationship to my days, but what is ultimately distracting during them.

With this new moon I reflect on efforts that I have made over the past 3 years. Efforts that have made it possible for me to pour my creative energy into the shape of a life lived on purpose. I reflect on all the ways in which I have been able to construct a message out of my experiences. All the ways in which I have been able to take what I have lived through and turn it into a narrative that celebrates my strengths. That applauds all the ways in which I have navigated around obstacles. That encourages me to keep finding the successes that hide in-between the lines. This new moon reminds me of all the pathways towards my mental health, because there are many. I need not limit my healing to any one area of my life. I use this new moon to recommit to the routines that keep me grounded and coming back to myself and my well-being all day long.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

With this new moon I call in clarity around my resources. What to do with them. How to be in relationship with them. How to hold them in high regard.

With this new moon I look back at the last few years for perspective on how I have been learning to do this in a deeper way. I acknowledge what the past few years have helped me to create financially. What they have taught me about sustainability. What boundaries I have had to work within. I have learned that not all problems are permanent. Not all refusals are the end of the story. Not all roadblocks mark the end of the trail. Some are put onto my path to teach me something about my resilience. Some are put in my path so that I remember to reach out for help and feel the power of interdependence. Some are put in my path so that I am forced to develop a new skill.

I persevere, making sure that my assets are assisting my overall growth.

I spend time on what matters. I spend money on what matters. I spend my energy on developing relationships with all that matters most to me. I do not waste my resources on what doesn’t witness me as a valuable asset to invest in.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

I celebrate my growth. The hard-earned boundaries that I have set and stood by are now sturdy enough to carry me through the storms that once blew out my flame. The principles I have been able to serve and stay steadily embodying have given me a backbone that centers me. The truth that I have chosen to rebuild my life around is the altar of my choosing.

The rituals I engage in affirm the possibility of moving through the world with less baggage and more of my beauty on display.

I have moments of wobbling around these lessons, but the point is that I keep coming back. I can falter but that doesn’t mean I have failed. Learning to get back in the saddle is both half the battle and the teaching. I make myself into an incredibly astute student so that no experience feels like a waste.

All of these lessons are fuel for my self awareness. For my actualization. For the purposes of being able to serve my life with greater clarity. I distinguish my present from my past. My pain from my potential. What I have lost from what was necessary to let go of.

Sunday’s new moon is my opportunity to reset my commitment to myself. To set boundaries that protect my well-being. To align my actions with my beliefs. My growth doesn’t happen because I want it to. It happens when I am willing to serve it no matter the work involved.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

I am happy to linger in this moment of stillness and reflection. This part of my journey is less about movement and more about the quality of my introspection. More about integration than action. More about the quality of my contemplation.

There’s plenty of movement right around the corner. Plenty of work to be wrought. Plenty of form to fill out. I feel no need to rush.

This week helps me to unpack and unload any baggage that I’ve missed. It asks me what pieces of my personality I am learning to make peace with. What soul-wounds are up for review. What dimension of myself I am learning to love despite the discomfort.

I am committed to carrying less shame forward. Less guilt in my gut. Less dread in my overall daily experience. I am committed to having more space in my being. More love for my becoming. More curiosity about what else awaits me. I am committed to clearing out what I can. Committed to healing what I need to. Committed to understanding the power I have to scale the mountains within so that I can reach a greater, more soulful perspective.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

With this new moon I call in meaningful partnerships with the communities that I most want to serve. That I most want to situate myself in relationship with. That I most want to join together with to grow something long-lasting. I call in opportunities to both teach and learn with those that I hold dear. With those that hold the same vision for a sustainable and just future. With those that know how to party with a purpose.

With this new moon I reflect on the lessons that I have learned in and through my peer groups over the past few years. I am grateful for those that have taught me how to be a leader amongst leaders. Those that have taught me about growing up and getting myself together. Those that have taught me about the value of finding a team to support my strengths and navigate around my weaknesses.

With this new moon I honor the process of becoming that I am in. The process of becoming the person, friend, and accomplice that I wish to be in the world. I don’t take for granted all I have had to give up or come to terms with. All I have had to learn about asserting myself and my boundaries. All I have had to separate myself from in order to come back into a deeper relationship with my life. I am grateful for the journey and know it doesn’t stop here.
