Love is a risk. Love is a loss. Love is a revolution.

Love makes clear every fear we must work through. Love brings with it every reason to make such effort. Love initiates us, leaving us forever changed, forever marked, forever awakened to what could be.

The love we cultivate, the love we elevate, the love we choose to accentuate speaks volumes about who we are and how we define our lives.  Love isn’t romance alone, but the most platonic of relationships can be the most romantic. Love is the only thing worth decorating oneself, and ones life, with and for.

Love needs to be at the center of all we do if we are to do it for long. Love needs our actions because it starves on words alone. Love needs our solidarity because it shrivels up in isolation.

This world has no shortages of opportunities to demonstrate love out loud. May we use each one that comes our way. May our love crack the shields that loneliness creates. May our actions create more spaces for love to flourish.

This week’s horoscopes are (reworked and) republished from February 2017, I hope they still serve you well. They were, and are, written as inspirations to help us understand, accept, and possibly love each other, and ourselves, a little better.

The sign that the sun was in when we were born is only one part of our astrological chart, far from the whole of it. You may therefore, want to read the horoscope for the signs that your sun, moon, rising, and Venus are in, for yourself and your loved ones. You’ll know which parts of each of them resonate with you the most, as always, leave the rest.

Aries

Love the fire. Love the passion. Love the energy.

Love them like they are or leave them alone. Love them without asking them to stay in one place. Love them for all that they stir up. Love them for the energy that they have to channel day in and day out. Like a live wire, Aries possesses a tremendous wattage. That’s no easy task. It can leave one burnt out, freaked out or on fire with the latest inspiration.

They need many outlets.

They need indirect encouragement to focus on the activities that are productive and proactive. They need to find solutions to their problems themselves or they won’t respect what they have won.

If you love an Aries, love the way they set themselves and life into motion. Love the way they fill empty space with their energy. Love the way they burst onto the scene. Without thinking about the consequences.

Love them through every scuffle but refuse to let them pick a fight with you just to let off steam. Love them through the wild bouts of energy that they are asked to manage but don’t let their style steamroll your own needs. Love the fact that they are willing to test the limits of their heart through the boundaries of the relationship they are in with you. Hold them accountable. They will love you all the more for it.

Love their bravery and their ability to encourage your own.

Be a worthy opponent by being honest and unwilling to be bossed. Be willing to push back out of a deep dedication to your love for them. Be dedicated to your own independence and let your relationship with them be a testament to what can happen when people come together to honor one another’s spirit.

Taurus

Love the love. Love the commitment. Love the staying power.

If you love a Taurus, be prepared to have your own loyalty tested in the face of their relentless ability to love you no matter what. Be prepared to be hugged often and cuddled, often. Taurus needs tactile reinforcement. Get your massage game on.

Give up pushing, you’ll just exhaust yourself. There is no point trying to move a boulder or a bull. Instead, find comfort in being able to lean on a source of such enduring warmth. Taurus is its own time zone. You can either get with Taurus time or get frustrated by it, but you won’t change it. They’ve got a rhythm that they are good with and if you aren’t, it’s on you.

Taurus knows how to sink into the moment and absorb what is good. Following suit can only help you get your chill on. Following suit can only help you get a glimpse of the kind of opulence that they know how to live into. Following suit can only help you to feel more luxurious in your own skin, which, if Taurus knows how to appreciate anything, it is the skin we are in.

Gemini

Love the movement. Love the effervescence. Love the breeze they make as they blow through each and every idea.

Loving a Gemini is loving rapid fire questions, answers and the ideas that brew in the in-between. Gemini lives in liminal spaces. In the bubbling of an idea. In the not-yet-formed-so-all-bets-are-off moments of life.

To love a Gemini is to love learning how to fly. Without a safety net. Without resistance. With ideas that have an anti-gravity effect. To love a Gemini is to soar outside the bounds of time and space into the open skies of wind and words. To love a Gemini is to be enamored with one of the most charming of magicians. It is to know that inconsistency is not the same as change. In order to grow we must be willing to shed layers, but shifting scenes isn’t in the same league as changing a pattern of behavior. It does no one any good to let a sleight of hand cover up the truth of a situation. Love them, and yourself, enough to keep you both honest.

To love a Gemini is to love both their need for exchange and reflection. A mind that never rests needs both the far reaches of space and the deep caves of consideration. Being loved by a Gemini is to be endlessly entertained with options, ideas, new angles, and an unrelenting humor. No one knows how to lift your spirits with a turn of a phrase like the twins. No one looks harder for their counterpart than they do. To be loved by a Gemini is to feel part of the most dynamic of duos. An inner circle of extraordinary company.

Cancer

Love being cared for. Love being fed. Love being home no matter where you are.

If you love a Cancer, you will never go for long without an ample dose of feeling. An extra side of emotion. A cup that runneth over.

The release of water is their every ritual.

To love a Cancer means that you will be initiated into your own emotional life. You’ll cry more. You’ll feel more. You’ll have to learn to weather the storms. You’ll have to learn how to read the forecasts. You’ll have to know the difference between skies that will bring a drizzle and skies that promise a torrential downpour.

Always pack rain gear.

Crabs scuttle sideways when they get scared. Love is terrifying. You’ll sometimes look like a monster to them. You’ll need to remind them who you are. You’ll need to become adept at reading their defenses. You’ll need to understand the shape of their shell. You’ll need to know when you have pressed up against their soft underbelly. They are not the kind of beast you want to hurt. They’ll either pinch back with claws too mighty to mess with or they’ll fall in to a world of pain you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy.

No love is as personal as this. But no love is as permeating either. If a Cancer loves you, you will know it. If a Cancer chooses you, you will feel it. If a Cancer is down for you, you have love for life and more nourishment than you’ve ever known.

Leo

Love the theatre of living. Love being the roaring applause. Love basking in the glow of an incredible star.

To love a Leo is to love loudly, without shame or reservation. Never hesitate to demonstrate your appreciation of them. Leos need consistent odes of devotion. Some Leo’s may want a grand gesture, others will just want a simple one, but there needs to be something shown.

Receipts count and will be counted.

So will the times that you encouraged their courage. Leos need to shine but don’t always believe that they have the right to. Even the loudest, most flamboyant of cats need to hear that their mode of self-expression is inspiring. Even the most self-assured of tigers need help taming their insecurities. Even the beasts with the most beautiful manes need to be reminded of their magnificence.

A little feedback goes a long way.

To be loved by a Leo is glorious. It is to be kissed by the sun. It is to laugh until you have lost all composure. It is to indulge in the joy in letting go of your inhibitions. It is to feel lucky to be relieved from the grit and grime of the mind, lifted up to the realms of the spirit. Leo may need applause, but it will always return the favor with a confident wattage that will light you up and remind you of your own magnificence, brilliance and importance.

Virgo

Love the precision. Love the thoughtfulness. Love the sincerity.

To love a Virgo is to love that they may not know how to leave well enough alone. Love that they may not know how to let go when there are jobs left undone. Love that they may want to sort instead of consort until there’s quality company to be had.

Notice the work that they have done to make your life easier. Applaud them for the carefully curated problem solving they have provided for you. Make an effort to understand how their worry manifests. Hyper-criticism will arise when they feel unsafe, unsettled, or unfulfilled. Rather than engaging with the critique, engage with the underlying stressor. Let them know that you are holding their story with them. Following the plot. Connecting the dots. Ready to work it out at a moment’s notice.

Once Virgo understands your ability to roll up your sleeves and put the effort in, the well-earned, hard-won respect you get from them is no ordinary praise. Virgo can be demanding, but Virgo will never forget your favorites, your needs, and your necessities. They might not call for your attention all the time, but once you get theirs, they’ll make a ritual out of reminding you how special you are.

Libra

Love their love of beauty. Love their need for justice. Love that they will try to be the balance to everything off kilter.

To love a Libra is to love that if laughter is missing, they will bring it. If anger is needed, they will bring it. If tenderness is nowhere in sight they will seek to be the source of it. Whatever is out of whack will be made right by these scales.

When you love a Libra let them know that it is OK if you are not. Let them know that it is OK to let you struggle with something. Let them know that conflict isn’t disaster, failure, or comment on their character. It’s a necessity moment when moving through an issue.

When you love a Libra you’ll need to let them know that it is not their job to keep the world in balance. Just themselves. Remind them that their boundaries are beautiful and acknowledged. Remind them that they are always half of the equation.

To love a Libra is to love the way they move about a crowd. It is to love that they are always seeking to see where justice has yet to be served. It is to love their need to weigh all the options with each person that is important to them. To love a Libra is to know that we aren’t the only one they’ll need, but when they are with us we’ll feel like the only ones in the universe that matter.

To be loved by Libra is to be relieved of the feeling that you are alone in the world. It is to be inspired to reveal your beauty, to share the best of yourself and to join in the art of relating for no other reason than the sheer pleasure of being in good company.

Scorpio

Love the intensity. Love the depth. Love the determination.

To be loved by a Scorpio is to be transformed. To be loved by a Scorpio is to have the stealthiest army on your side. To be loved by a Scorpio is to be focused on. Held together through every falling apart. Relentlessly devoted. To love a Scorpio is sometimes a test of one’s endurance, a test of one’s ability to dive deep, and a test to see if you are a match for their intensity. If so, you’ll be privy to an impossible beauty. To get a glimpse of the depth of their heart is to be a reminder of your own.

Famous for its resilience, loving a Scorpio is loving the paths that will bring you to the edge. And back. Scorpio loves all the way through. Into the mystery and back again. Through the misery and back again. Into the suffering of becoming and back again. Scorpio works with those that prove they won’t abandon them in the process. Wary of betrayal, Scorpio can take its time deciding whom is worthy of their secrets and their powers of regeneration.

If they have chosen you, you can be sure you are up to the task, and its tremendous gifts.

Loving a Scorpio is helping them let go of what doesn’t work. Their deep reservoir of emotional energy must be accessed, worked with, and channeled. Anything in the way of doing so must be overcome, undone, and left in the past. This powerhouse of healing energy they posses is one that the world so desperately needs.

Sagittarius

Love the gallop. Love the furious and fearless pace. Love the adventure.

To love a Sagittarius is to love not knowing where you’ll end up. It’s to love getting lost because of all you’ll find together. It’s to love the learning that you didn’t know you would be doing.

To love a Sagittarius is to love being pulled in the direction of discovery.

With a relentless optimism, Sagittarius can often overstep. Racing into the unknown, they can find themselves overwhelmed with unforeseen obstacles. Help them pace themselves without restraining their natural gait. To love a Sagittarius is to manage extremes with them. Forever learning the repercussions of such great galivanting, Sagittarius can be surprised by its own self-inflicted situation. While most of us are tired just at the thought of attempting a smidgeon of what they do, Sagittarius is already on to the next thing.

Loving a Sagittarius is learning how to be uplifted by their inspiring and expansive take on life while not being swept away by the earnest, yet sometimes improbable, promises they may make. It’s not that they are incapable of delivering the impossible, it’s just that the cost of it might outweigh the benefit.

To be loved by a Sagittarius is to be loved in the face of every doom and gloom the world might throw at us. It is to have an ally as full of faith, generosity, and gratitude as they come. It is to be moved time and time again by their ability to find even the smallest speck of hope and to hold it up to the light casting prisms of beauty along the halls of your life together.

Capricorn

Love the strategy. Love the climb. Love for real.

To love a Capricorn means that you’ll always know where you stand. You’ll unknowingly break their rules but at least they’ll have the courtesy to tell you exactly how, why, and when it happened.

Loving a Capricorn requires that you love the tuff stuff. It requires that you can laugh at your own vanity, because they will. It requires that you have a deep and abiding appreciation for being called on your core issues. Unafraid of the hard work of becoming, Capricorn knows the ins and outs of suffering. Unaffected by sentimentality, Capricorn is not afraid to call it like it is and keep it moving.

Capricorn was born to know thyself. Capricorn was brought into existence to teach us how to be self-reliant, self-sufficient and self-supporting.

If you are going to be in partnership with them, act like you mean it. Show up on time, which means early. Show up prepared, which means willing to keep working. Show up ready to put in your best effort, which means that nothing is sexier than efficiency and your desire to succeed.

In return, they will love you like it’s their most important job, and to a sign whose work is sacred, that is no small sentiment. They will bring you the nuggets of wisdom that they have gleaned over the ages. They will awaken you to your own power, power that is slowly cultivated and authentically earned. They will support you in finding your own foundation. One so grounded that it will have you wondering how you ever made it this far without it.

Aquarius

Love the clarity. Love the certainty. Love the strength that they constantly communicate to the world.

Love their ability to care more about getting their point across than pandering to the feelings of those in power. Nothing impresses this sign save for the ability to think for oneself. Not swayed by public opinion, able to see past the fears that most humans let their thinking get bound up in, Aquarius aims for the truth and will pick you when they know that you are it.

To be loved by an Aquarius is to be respected. To be loved by an Aquarius is to be loved for your own merit. To be loved by an Aquarius is to be loved out of choice, never out of duty.

To love an Aquarius is to love being constantly astounded by how quickly they understand a system, situation or subtlety. To love an Aquarius means introducing them to the fact that facts sometimes can hurt your feelings. Facts don’t always need to be the first thing spoken. Some hearts need time to adjust to the truth.

To love and be loved by Aquarius means that autonomy is a turn on for you both, and space is sacred, necessary, and needed if the embers of the heart are to be kept alive and aglow.

Pisces

Love the romance. Love the infatuation. Love the way they see your very best first and foremost.

When a Pisces loves you, they will always wish the best for you. When a Pisces loves you, they will never let you forget why they believe in you. When a Pisces loves you, they’ll swim circles round your heart soothing any ache with their whimsical ways, diverting your attention away from your sorrows towards more pleasant tides.

To love a Pisces is to love the intoxication of their presence. To love a Pisces is to let yourself be humored by their unruly ways. To love a Pisces is to let your vulnerability rise to the surface to meet their own.

Pisces needs to be needed, but not controlled. Trying to hold on to a fish is foolish. Pisces needs to move, to flow and to follow the currents of the day. Trying to limit this kind of mystical creature to only one pond would be a shame of the highest order. To crush the dreams of a Pisces unleashes the howling cry of a forlorn mermaid. Harsh, bitter notes of betrayal and pure unadulterated agony can bellow from the depths of these seas. Better to roam freely beside them or stand back in awe of all the places Pisces can travel. At once. With great grace. With great compassion. With great abandon. With great love for you and all other beings. Its heart belongs to the whole.

February 4th

1:04 PM PT – New Moon at 15° Aquarius

Clear. Concise. Certain. Intellectually rigorous, Aquarius pours forth its well-earned wisdom to the masses. No one masters a system of thought like the water-bearer, and that’s why few are as innovative. Aquarius seeks no intellectual short-cuts, just facts. Once this sign has made up its mind about something, good luck persuading it otherwise. Aquarius isn’t here to hog the spotlight, but would rather shine it upon the answers and ideas that the group might benefit from the most. In this way, Aquarius usually earns attention for its intellectual prowess, but it’s never the main motivation.

On February 4th at 1:04 PM PT, the new moon in Aquarius arrives. Bringing with it a fresh start, this new moon is the first in 2019 that is free of shadow. January was consumed with both a lunar and solar eclipse, neither of which were open to interpretation. Eclipses tend to dominate the scene with their agenda. This new moon is more of a clean slate for us to work with and will perhaps feel like the first new moon of 2019. This new moon also ushers in the Lunar Chinese New Year, and brings us into the Year of the Pig. Devoted, generous and compassionate, the Year of the Pig will hopefully teach us much about its attributes.

The new moon in Aquarius is in a supportive sextile to Jupiter in Sagittarius. Offerings like this are ones to work with. To have a new moon infused with the protective, prosperous, and positive energy of Jupiter is a gift to receive and respectfully work with. What you start with this new moon has help, encouragements, and a door or two opened for it. Whatever it is you are working towards, this new moon gives your efforts the lift they might need to get you there with greater ease.

Jupiter lends what we start with this new moon a confidence. Aquarius understands that when something makes logical sense and is structurally necessary, one should not waiver on it.

The more you believe in the validity of your dreams, desires, and visions for your life, the more real they’ll feel. The more responsibility you’ll feel for them. The more you’ll work towards manifesting them. The more you see yourself as a care-taker of them, and a protector for all that is possible through them, the more emboldened you’ll feel to risk what is necessary to bring them about.

Anyone who is successful is always asked how they got there and, more often than not, they’ll tell you it began with a feeling, knowing, or dream and the clarity to take it seriously. May this new moon help you communicate with that kind of inspirational certainty. May it, momentarily at least, relieve you from your doubts. May it build your confidence, and bring you into greater alignment with the gifts that want to work their way into the world through you.

For a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for this encouraging new moon, join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Aquarius, Full Moon in Virgo, and the Lunar Cycle from February 4th – March 5th.

February 7th

Sun in Aquarius sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius, both at 18°

Today’s astrology picks up on the most prosperous and abundant aspects of the new moon. As the sun perfects its sextile to Jupiter, it encourages us to embody the confidence the new moon hinted at. Just for today, try to own every inch of your skin. Just for today, be unapologetically you. Just for today, proclaim your dreams to the world and see what shifts for you. Internally and externally.

Then try it again tomorrow.

Mercury in Aquarius sextile Mars in Aries, both at 25°

Today, along with the confidence boost of the sun’s sextile to Jupiter, Mercury is gifted with the muscle power of Mars. This gives the ever-insightful Mercury in Aquarius the ability to use a little more edge to get its meaning across. It’s the perfect astrology to drive home a point. Just make sure that its in service of something greater than being right.

February 9th

Mercury in Aquarius sextile Uranus in Aries, both at 29°

Mercury picks up on the insights and innovations that Uranus is throwing down. This is our invitation to momentarily throw out convention and see what we can channel without the constraints of tradition. This is great day to articulate your ideas and find solutions with those that are willing to work as creatively as you inside and outside the box.

February 10th

Mercury enters Pisces, there until April 17th

In Pisces, Mercury’s messages are beautiful in sentiment, but not so strategically inclined. Here, Mercury waxes poetic with incredible ease, but when all you wanted was directions to the store, this can be a little less than helpful. Make sure you double up on facts, logic, and proven ways forward, but do let yourself indulge in the images, sounds, and inspirations that get your imagination going.

Mercury will spend an inordinate amount of time in Pisces as it will retrograde through these waters from March 5th until March 28th. This transit will give us ample opportunity to understand where we tend to lose the plot and drop the ball, logically speaking.

February 12th

Mars conjunct Uranus in Aries at 29°

One of the most combustable pairings possible, Mars and Uranus together, especially in Aries, are no wallflowers. This turbo charged couple will create breakdowns, breakthroughs, and changes that happen at a speed so fast it’s impossible to process all at once.

This is the last time (for the next 84 years) that these two will come together in Aries. As Uranus moves signs for good come March 6th, the last few transits it makes in Aries are moments that tend to crystalize the lessons we learned with Uranus here. Wherever this transit falls for you (whichever house 29° of Aries is in your chart, also see your Uranus horoscope) will tell you much about the conventions you need to buck, the wild energy that needs to find a way through you, and the ways in which you are no longer willing to work within a system that doesn’t work for you. With transits like this, it’s imperative to know which bridges to cross and which to burn.

February 14th

Mars enters Taurus

As Mars moves into Taurus, the tempo slows considerably. Here Mars doesn’t have access to the speedy pathways it enjoys, nor does it have the resources that keep it happy. A little stubborn and some might say lazy, Mars in Taurus plods along. It will get there eventually, but not expediently.

Mars will remain in Taurus until March 30, 2019.

February 17th

Venus in Capricorn sextile Neptune in Pisces, both at 15°

The last sweet sentiment Venus receives while in Capricorn, the sextile between the Queen and her ideal consort is nothing short of a rom/com with all the right elements. Today’s astrology is heavenly, but short-lived. Tomorrow, Venus, and our relationships, get a reality check, Saturn style.

Sun in Aquarius sextile Uranus in Aries, both at 29°

The sun sextile Uranus is an invigorating jolt of energy that aims to wake up any aspect of ourselves asleep to the power of our individuality. This aspect encourages the weirdo within to take center stage and remind us all how fun it is to flip the bird to convention, respectability, and popular standards of mediocrity.

February 18th

Venus conjunct Saturn in Capricorn at 16°

The Pleasure Seeker and the Master of Misery come together today, testing our boundaries, asking what our intentions are, and giving our creative and romantic situations a major once over. Far from the free-wheeling romance of yesterday’s Venus/Neptune sextile, today’s astrology wants us to come to terms with our needs and the consequences we must face when we deny them. Make clear what you are able to commit to, and what you are not willing to and today’s astro will be productive, even if a little bit of a downer. Hearts tend to be a little heavy with this influence. Take care of yours by giving yourself the compassionate understanding you crave.

Mercury conjunct Neptune in Pisces at 15°

Mercury conjunct Neptune is no walk in the park, at least not one that will end up getting you anywhere. But that’s not this combination’s concern. Mercury and Neptune together get high on ideals, reality be damned. This is not good astrology to make definitive plans under, if at all avoidable, but as we all know, life waits for no astrology. Do what you can to listen to, and act on, the doubts that whisper in your ear, double check details and get second and twenty second opinions when possible.

Mercury not only conjuncts Neptune today, but it also enters its pre-retrograde shadow period. This means that it will station retrograde on March 5th and travel all the way back here, where it stations direct on March 28th. Conjunct Neptune. It will be a wild retrograde to be sure, but for now we can focus on the fact that what happens today and from here on out will be returned to, reviewed, reworked, returned to sender. There’s no getting out of the more nuanced and messy communication issues we come across, just a long swim up and down stream with them.

Sun enters Pisces

Welcome to Pisces Season. With the sun in the transcendent waters of the fishes, and Mars slumbering away in Taurus, the season starts off slowly. It’s a good time to tap into your dreams, intuitions, physical needs and emotional ones. The full moon lights up the skies tomorrow and the swell of emotions might be swirling today, so keep it simple with what feels overly complicated.

Your new moon horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work, you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around. We really appreciate it and you!

Aries & Aries Rising

Aligning myself with the people, places, and actions that bring me closer to my dreams is my main priority. There are a million distractions, doubts, and fears to get caught up in daily. There are a million ways in which I have been taught to devalue my vision, to denigrate it, to convince myself that I am not the answer to it as much as it is to me. But my destiny is to be met on a two-way street.

It needs me to make room for it every day. Aligning myself with what I most want to manifest is something I have to consciously do. Repeatedly. Daily. Enthusiastically if possible. Honestly, always.

If I am being truthful, when unchecked I will tend to grasp for what might make my ego momentarily happy. A place. A thing. A person. An idea of success, love, or acceptance. But unless achieved in a way that deepens my connection to myself, my loves, my life, and my world, nothing will satisfy my soul’s desire to do good work with good people.

I want to know what it means to feel aligned with my life’s purpose so deeply that I never refuse the challenges, victories and defeats along the way. I don’t waste my time chasing fool’s gold. I want the glimmer to be inner, first and foremost.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

No dream is too big if it’s mine to live out. The dreams that are unreasonably persistent, pestering me constantly, refusing to let me rest, are part of a divine plan I have no right to refuse. My talents will never fail me if I am committed to developing them in service of something greater than my own self-interest. Not one of my professional goals is too outlandish to achieve if I am willing to do the inner and outer work necessary to see them succeed.

As long as my professional pursuits are connected to my inner work they will have depth, meaning, and be an intricate part of my life’s purpose. As long as I am developing a deeper relationship to my talents, their needs, and the ways in which they want to be manifested in the world, I can trust in my pursuit of them. As long as I am given the opportunity to pursue the public roles I most wish to fulfill, I will do so with everything I’ve been given. To refuse my dreams is to refuse the best, and most unruly parts of me. Pursuing my purpose should and will upend some part my life. It will stretch my soul. Walk me right into my doubts. Gather my fears and serve them to me on a platter. It is then my precious duty to push them aside, put them in perspective, or put them to work, because I have committed to my professional pursuits and nothing will dissuade me from them.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

I give myself the gift of honesty. I am clear about what I want. I mince no words with myself. I hold nothing back about the details of where I hope to go, what I aim to experience along the way, and what I am dedicated to serving come clear skies or grey. I take my goals seriously but know that achieving them requires a sense of humor. An appreciation for irony. A love of mythology.

This is my story and I’m sticking with the plot lines that have me cast as the heroine.

With this new moon I make plans for my future without shame for how big they are, how far from my current reality they may seem, and without devaluing my ability to make them a reality. I am certain that 6 months from now I will have made major headway, been able to experience the benefits of my efforts, and have grown into the challenges I set for myself. With that in mind I pick the goals that will demand from me a bigger heart, a broader consciousness, and a deeper commitment to what rings true for me. Choosing the right goals for this moment immediately brings me half of the success I seek.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

The success of my collaborations depend on my ability to parse out my true desires from my lowered expectations. I make sure that I uproot, interrogate, and thoroughly understand the doubts that lie in wait for me when I am poised to make progress. I work with this new moon to consciously and courageously receive what I need. In my daily life, I allow more love in, more support to surround me, and more encouragement to uplift me. I let none of it go unacknowledged.

It’s OK if initially I feel undeserving of gifts that come my way. I quickly counter self-defeating sentiments with a compassionate interrogation of the facts. Who says I am unworthy, undeserving, or incapable of working towards my dreams? Anytime I come up against a thought or feeling that discourages my best efforts, I know that I have made contact with something intrinsic to my journey. The more I understand what gets in my way, the easier it is to move around it, heal it, or work through it.

This new moon is my invitation to heal the parts of my confidence that might have been broken, trampled, or demolished by life’s circumstances. I always have the option to believe in my ability, right, and desire to heal.

Leo & Leo Rising

With this new moon I remind myself that all great things require partnership. I seek mine selectively.

With this new moon I recenter myself in the partnerships that already receive me. The people that show me appreciation whether I am winning or wandering around. Those that want to know my heart because there’s some part of it that matches their own. Those that know how to listen to me with loving, determined, and inquisitive attention.

With this new moon, I pause to honor the loves in my life that challenge me compassionately and unapologetically. Those that know how to humor me when my pride has been hurt. Those that know how much I love applause and need it when there’s been too much silence in the face of my sincere efforts. Those who know how to see me over time instead of holding me to only this moment. Those that can stretch their view from what I was to what I could become.

Those that teach me how to be a better lover, learner, beginner, and participant have my full, undivided, totally devoted attention, admiration, and unyielding partnership.

With this new moon I call more of the same in, and honor all the ways in which it already exists. The more I celebrate it, the more room I make for it.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

I find every avenue possible to love the labor. As much as I take advantage of rest. As much as I honor my downtime. As much as I revel in my free-time, to the best of my ability I find things to adore about my work.

If I want bounty to come from my efforts, I have to make peace with the practice that goes into creating it. The secret to my success is loving the process, not just the performance.

I leave room for opportunity. I remember not to get too rigid in how I think my work or efforts will be received, what they will amount to, or where they will go. I work in ways that help to regenerate my creative energy. I work in ways that keep me focus on the reasons that I do what I do. To the best of my ability, I clear out what leaves me feeling cluttered, muddled, or confused about my direction. I am here to work towards what will bring the most joy and healing to the most people, places, and causes.

Libra & Libra Rising

My joy is a gateway to all great things that wish to enter my life. With this new moon I remember to make my joy a centerpiece of my days, weeks, years, and life. The new moon reminds me of the healing power of pleasure seeking. I give myself permission to have fun. I know how to tune into the work that is mine to do and tune into the joy that is mine to feel, express, and share with the world.

My joy is sacred and needs my commitment to it. Creativity flows with a much greater ease when I’ve allowed a little laughter to clear my system. With this new moon I remind myself that waiting for the right time is not an option. Waiting for the work to be done is no way to live. Waiting for the stress to lessen may never happen. All I have is the option to find a little love, a little play, a little light every day. It doesn’t detract from the depth of my feelings. It doesn’t negate the heavy history I carry. It doesn’t devalue the struggle that I am in for myself, my communities, and this world.

To actively make space for joy is to respect what is difficult. Without levity, I lose sight of the power of this fight. Without joy I forget why I want to make the effort to right a wrong, heal a hurt, or win with my dignity in tact.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

I clear space for myself. I make home for myself. Wherever I am in the world, I make peace with myself. Life on earth is unruly. The world’s hurt is nonsensical. We exist amongst a million messes. This mayhem isn’t something that I will let myself become trapped in.

I am in this world. I do all I can to serve the beauty of this world. I do all I can to uphold the reasons we must work to heal this world. But I never forget that I am not defined solely by this world. To know its ugliness, its hate, its vitriol is to know when it has seeped into me. To know this world is to know what I must refuse of it. To know this word is to know what I will always embrace from it. To know myself is to know the difference between what the world tells me and what is true.

With this new moon I build a nest in my name. A home where I can reclaim myself. A space where I can take off the chaos and be in my birthright. My blessings need a protective space to thrive within. My body needs space to relax, unfurl, and exhale within. My altars need clearing off, redecorating, and honoring as a reflection of all I am creating. All that I want to bring into being first finds its home in me, so I make sure mine is a place where I can feel free to dream.

Shadow Work – Eclipses

Much of 2019 is asking us to let go of more than we amass. Purging and purifying our systems from the poisons that infiltrate them are a must. At this environmentally, socially, politically precarious moment, every issue we face is more pressing, more daunting, and more complicated. The truths of our situations are multi-faceted and multi-layered. They are personal and political. Collectively, we are coming to consciousness about the abuses of power that we have collectively and individually faced at rates more rapid than ever before. Thanks to social media, conversations that used to take decades to have publicly are now done, seemingly, in an instant. This causes what some experience as division, but the healing process requires us to parse out what the root causes of our pain are. As we collectively unpack the impact of thousands of years of structural inequity, and the traumas and tribulations that result from it, we are faced with the unending task of processing the damage it has done to ourselves and our communities. This process isn’t one that can be sorted through with the same instantaneousness as it is brought up in the digital age. Hearts aren’t timelines. This kind of work takes its own time, but it also takes an unrelenting commitment to the truth and what it calls us to do, and stop doing. The most abhorrent abuses of power are so commonplace that they are hiding in plain site the world, our families, and our lives over. And over. These cycles of abuse must be called out continuously if they are ever to be interrupted, interrogated, and overthrown in our world, and of course, within ourselves. This is a process that calls for much heavy lifting. It takes an incredible effort to bring to light what has laid in the shadows all along. It is necessary work, but so too is the incredible compassion we must have for ourselves along the way.

This year is the first time in many that eclipses will begin to occur in Capricorn. Flanked by Saturn, Pluto, and the south node, these eclipses ask us to release ourselves from the structures, habits, and patterns that keep our systems clogged. Whatever fears have held us captive, stifled our growth, or limited our ability to heal must be made conscious so that they can be dismantled. Unless we want to be energetic hoarders, stockpiling raw sewage of the soul, we are well-served to address, process, and work towards healing the shadow material that these eclipses reveal.

Capricorn is a cardinal, earth sign that manifests, builds structures, and accomplishes through discipline, hard-work, and boundary setting. It’s also a sign that restricts, denies, and withholds. Because eclipses are pattern-setting times, times where we learn lessons specific to the astrology that they highlight, this year’s eclipses will teach us much about our personal integrity, maturity, and self-mastery. If we aren’t responsible for the energy we bring into each situation, we’ll never be the boss of our own lives. With Saturn present and ruling these eclipses, self-mastery is the end goal. With Pluto in the mix, these changes require that we deal with power and the abuses of it. Pluto takes its time but makes sure that the changes it creates are long-lasting in their impact. Occurring at the south node, these eclipses encourage us to release what is in the way of our spiritual growth. Leading us to a greater understanding of the limits of worldly power, south node eclipses point to what needs to be purged if we are ever to overcome the inhibiting impacts of greed.

Capricorn eclipses occur on January 5th (new moon and partial solar eclipse at 15° of Capricorn), July 16th (full moon and partial lunar eclipse at 24° of Capricorn), and December 25th (new moon and annular solar eclipse at 4° of Capricorn) 2019.

There are two eclipses occurring outside of Capricorn’s colosseum in 2019. The first of which happens on January 20th, and is a super moon, full moon and total lunar eclipse. Going out with a bang, this is the last of 5 eclipses in Leo that take place from February 2017 – January 2019. True to Leo form, this dramatic exit helps us to finish up, understand, and integrate the major life-lessons we learned in the area of our chart that contains Leo. This eclipse helps us tap into, and explore, the potency of living out our potential when we allow our unique self-expression to surface and take flight.

The next non-Capricorn eclipse occurs 6-months later, on July 2nd. With this total solar eclipse and new moon in the emotionally charged water sign of Cancer, we are called inward to cultivate a deeper understanding of our emotional intelligence, needs, and nourishment requirements. With the north node also in Cancer, our appetites increase. Cancer feeds the children, rules the stomach, and is ever voracious for emotional intimacy. This is the balance to all the austerity of the eclipses in Capricorn. Capricorn builds the structures, Cancer fills them with the waters of creation.

The Leo eclipse occurs on January 20th (total eclipse, and full moon, super moon at 0° of Leo). The Cancer eclipse occurs on July 2nd (Solar eclipse and new moon occurring at 10° of Cancer).

The Heavy Weights – Saturn and Pluto

With both Saturn and Pluto, the power players of our solar system in Capricorn, the structures of our world that need the greatest transformations could also be the ones that become (or remain) the least open to change. An overemphasis of Saturnian energy, when distorted, promotes regression, repression, and traditionalism. With the rhetoric of fear, exclusion, and domination easily spreadable under these skies, we must work with both our internal and external landscapes in order to implement change. What is poisonous must go through a purging process.

The solution to any external difficulty is, in part, to face the same within the self. It is the place from which we always have access and power. Working to understand, and then disrupt, our internal systems of inequity helps us to do so externally. Getting to know our inner critic well enough to interrupt the self-denial that keeps our souls, and our societies, undernourished is transformation from the inside out. Getting to know our own bitterness, hatred, and despair is one of the most effective ways to heal it internally, and address and interrupt it out in the world.

Since Saturn rules Capricorn, the themes of it are amplified while it transits through its home sign. Pluto brings with it extremes. Birth, death, and transformation are just an appetizer for this Underlord. Catharsis doesn’t come cheap, and Pluto is always willing to point out the price for such a journey.

The Seeker – Jupiter

Jupiter’s entrance and transit through Sagittarius from November 8, 2018 – December 2, 2019 is a markedly different tone from that of the cornucopia of Capricorn happenings. Here, Jupiter seeks to helps us expand our world view, open our options, and magnify the possibilities for all. Running on excess is a theme with this combination, but as previously stated, a large portion of the skies is heavily opposing such behavior.

Jupiter in one if its home signs can help us make huge strides in our life and world, however. What is helpful in doing so is focusing on the area of your chart that contains Sagittarius (written about in your horoscopes below and here). This much needed expansive energy should be worked with wisely. We don’t have endless options in a finite world, but we do have unlimited potential to find solutions to the very real issues we face. Working within the boundaries of our lives helps us access the power of the present, the tools we have, and the wisdom we have gleaned from all our work thus far.

The Game-Changer  – Uranus

As Uranus finishes up the last of its transit through Aries (November 2018 to March 2019) and re-enters Taurus, to stay for good until 2026, we are asked to revolutionize how we relate to our resources. Written about below, in your individual horoscopes, and here in a much more in-depth post, Uranus in Taurus shifts the ground we often take for granted as solid and in the process shifts our priorities in regards to what we work towards building.

With so many major planetary transits occurring in earth signs this year, we know that how we work, what we build, what we consider a resource, and what we will end up understanding as essential to our ability to live on this earth, will change greatly as well as teach us the most.

We know that, outside of alternative facts about our climate and environmental conditions, living within the boundaries of the natural world is essential to being allowed to exist here. We are of the earth. We live an d die by its health and well-being. Far from owners of it, if lucky, we will realize our relationship to and dependence on it.

*Your 2019 horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. Aries & Aries Rising

As Saturn, Pluto, the south node and three eclipses activate your 10th house of career, 2019 continues to up the anti in all your public and professional roles. You are being asked to build your resume with what you want to be known for. Consider what it means to take responsibility for doing more of whatever makes you feel boss in the best of ways. Keep developing the structures that are sturdy, and roomy, enough for the transformations you are undertaking. Change is a constant in every aspect of life, but 2019 asks you to let go of what doesn’t work for you in your professional sphere. Like muscle memory, every time you refuse to compare yourself to someone else, or some false “age-appropriate” goal, the more familiar you are accessing and working with your creative energy.

With the first of three eclipses in your 10th house of public and professional roles on January 5th, the beginning of the year is the perfect time to dedicate your energy to identifying, and then committing to outgrow, the fears you have of failure and success. Work with this eclipse to remove your hesitations and encourage yourself to take a leap of faith in your ability to show up and figure out a way forward. Stay focused on the carefully selected professional goals you most wish to accomplish, and let go of the rest. Parsing your professional life down to its core, essential components is key to your success at the moment.

Two weeks later, on January 20th, the total lunar eclipse in Leo activates your 5th house of creative self-expression. This eclipse highlights the healing and work that you have accomplished in this area of your life over the past two years. Creative projects get an important boost of attention and applause.

The north node and this summer’s total solar eclipse increase your appetite for the opposite; a cozy home and connections that feel familial, safe, and nourishing. 2019 asks for balance. Releasing what doesn’t work for you professionally is actually part of what helps you feel more at home. The less you have to fake it to make it, the more energy you’ll have to settle in and show up as yourself.

From November 2018 through to December 2019, Jupiter expands your opportunity for travel, teaching, researching, and having a wild love-affair with information that inspires you. Watch for books to fall from shelves, long-term plans to roll out with greater ease, and travel pamphlets that catch your eye. It’s not that you want to (or can) take up every adventure on its offer; it’s about remembering that you are never too old, too stuck, or too far gone to begin again.

As Uranus finishes up its transit through your sign (not to return for another 84 years), the first couple of months of 2019 (January to March) mark the end of a very long adventure in personal rebellion. The planet of upheaval and breakthroughs has spent the last 7 years making sure life is anything but predictable. The changes you have made over these years hopefully liberated you from any false notion of needing to fit in or follow a trajectory not made for you. As Uranus (re)enters your 2nd house of assets, resources, and income in March, it continues to awaken you to innovate ways of doing business. Because it stays here until 2026, this is a long process, but one that will continue to help you liberate any outdated notions of how to make a buck or be defined by one.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

On January 5th, the first eclipse of the year activates your 9th house of long-term plans, travel, teaching, and the general philosophy of what guides you. Because Saturn, Pluto, the south node and two more eclipses (in July and December) also take place in this area of your chart, all of 2019 asks you to get better acquainted with the fear stands in the way of moving towards your goals. What phobias divert your energy, dissuading you from making a concerted effort towards reaching you goals? Internal conflicts become more real, tangible, and concrete which is helpful if you want to address them. A nightmare if you want to evade them.

2019 begins with an eclipse on January 5th that encourages you to take responsibility for your dreams, and the learning process you are in when trying to achieve them. Here, you bump into out-dated, possibly conservative, philosophies about achieving happiness and well-being. Learn to interrogate them. Dismantling the beliefs that impede your connection to the truth is essential for each and every eclipse season of 2019. With Uranus entering your sign in March and staying for a solid 7 years, you have less and less attachment to traditionally set out norms. This personal revolution that is taking place inside and outside of you demands a greater honesty from you and, as a result, will bring you a greater connection to yourself. When you are willing to give up anything that rings as false, moving towards what you want happens with much greater ease.

The second eclipse of 2019 is a total lunar eclipse on January 20th that puts the finishing touches on your home decor, living space, and connection to home and family life. Over the past 2 years this area of your life has been under major reconstruction. This eclipse is the last of its kind for a long while, marking your efforts to establish a deeper connection with this part of your life.

The north node and July’s total solar eclipse increases your need to write, teach, and articulate yourself. Any projects that you are in the midst of help you define your understanding of yourself, your work, and your purpose. This eclipse helps you grow your readership, audience, and contacts for future projects.

From November 2018 through to December 2019, Jupiter expands the possibilities of your collaborations. This transit teaches you much about growth in the right conditions or excessive disappointments in ill-fitting ones. Never deny your intuition when it tells you which is which. Your opportunities for merging your time, energy, and talents with others is increasingly more abundant, but not every situation will be able to grow with you. Never partner out of pity or fear of scarcity, but do join forces with others out of a mutual interest in healing, growth, and creative adventures.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Much of the astrology of 2019 lands in the areas of your chart that require you to go the deepest. Clearing out old, psychic, and emotional debris will become a past time of yours that you master by 2020.

On January 5th, the first eclipse of the year initiates your 8th house of collaborations and all the emotions that come with sharing your time, energy and talent. What is a fair trade for you comes under great inspection this year. Reviewing the quality of your exchanges reveals the deeper patterns of self-worth, self-acceptance, and self-sabotage that exist within you. What do you give away against your better judgment? What do you refuse that you actually need to learn to receive? Becoming a better listener to your fears can help you to forgo many a bad deal. The more you are able to address your worries and concerns about being betrayed, abandoned, and being taken advantage of, the clearer you can see what is a threat and what wants to treat you right.

The second eclipse of 2019, on January 20th, lights up your 3rd house of communications and daily schedules. This is the last in a series of eclipses here that have helped you to speak your mind, reset the rituals that treat you right, and begin some of the more important communication projects in recent history. You are a communicator, but what these two years have taught you has helped you go deeper than you have before. Risking your reputation to tell the truth sets you free, even if it sets some folks on edge.

Come July 2nd, the total solar eclipse and north node in Cancer continue to give you good reason to get to work. Money, assets, and resources want to find their way to you. The more you nurture, care for them, and use them to create more nourishment in your life, the more effortlessly they flourish. You’re in touch with great earning potential, put it to use in ways that feel soulfully centered for you.

From November 2018 through to December 2019, Jupiter is busy expanding the possibilities between you and your committed partnerships. Whether in business, love, or both, your unions receive many blessings. Choose your partners with great care, however. Your needs aren’t negotiable. You are more than likely to get a more than normal amount of attention right now and you are allowed to be as precise as necessary in all aspects of your partnering.

As Uranus finishes up its transit through your 11th house of friends, groups, and communities, your work within them continues to be game-changing. The last 7 years have taught you much about the revolutionary nature of being in, and working with the communities that call to you. What you change with and for the group changes within and for you. As Uranus enters your 12th house come March 2019, it shifts focus in a fairly drastic way. Here until 2026, Uranus works to shake up your inner life and relationship to it. Secrets, losses, and old griefs get awakened, but also cleared. The psychic space you clear makes way for incredible creative energy. Don’t rush the work, but do work on trusting its process.

For help planning out your year, based on these and the other astrological transits of 2019, join me for 2019: The Year Ahead for Your Sign.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

As Saturn, Pluto, the south node and three eclipses activate your 7th house of committed partnerships, 2019 emphasizes the importance of being crystal clear in your contracts, negotiations, and agreements with others. The first eclipse of the year on January 5th, amplifies these themes. It asks you to look more deeply into the structures of your committed partnerships, why you enter into them, why you stay, and why you might deny yourself what you have, not only the right, but the ability to receive.

It’s hard to find a fit for our emotional, creative, and intellectual needs when we don’t believe that we deserve them. It’s even harder to state our needs if we are too afraid of being abandoned. This year, the more you make your fears of intimacy and abandonment conscious, the more you’ll be able to feel deserving of relationships that honor your boundaries and inspire the best from you. You are worthy of having the kinds of connections you crave. The more self-respect you cultivate, the easier you’ll be able to say good-bye to agreements that don’t offer the same. In 2019, move towards the kinds of partnerships that are roomy enough for transformations and strong enough to hold the experience of them. You can’t expect others to show up for what they are ill-equip to handle. Find the partners that can go the distance and enjoy doing so.

The second eclipse of 2019 comes on January 20th. It is a total lunar eclipse that highlights the dramatic changes you have made to your relationship with your resources, money, assets, and livelihood. Whatever personal potential you have been able to activate and cash in on over the course of the past 2 years is celebrated by this moon. Invest your energetic and financial earnings back into your well-being and financial future.

The north node, and this summer’s total solar eclipse in Cancer, amplify your desires to achieve your personal best. While the eclipses in Capricorn ask you to heal the wounds found in relationships, the Cancer eclipse amplifies your personal drive, power, and ability to get ahead. This concoction can encourage mass consumption over quality, however. Make sure that the things you reach for are soulfully satisfying, not just ego-intoxicating.

From November 2018 through to December 2019, Jupiter expands the possibilities of your work projects. What you create here is amplified, exaggerated, and given a lift. The work-projects you have on the go now are more than likely to inspire growth in a multitude of directions making over-whelm a monster to contend with. Being discerning about what seeds you plant professionally will make all the difference when harvest season comes calling.

Uranus finishes up its transit through your 10th house of career come March 2019, wrapping up your 7 year professional..

December 21st

Venus in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, both at 13°

Today, both Venus and Mercury help to celebrate the solstice the right way. Venus and Neptune in a trine to one another are an ideal love affair. This epic duo deems the heart a holy place to build from. Today’s astrology plays a dreamy, romantic melody as the soundtrack to our wildest fantasies. Your fantasies are more than likely to reveal their truth today.

Mercury conjunct Jupiter at 9° of Sagittarius

For the second time in the past month, Mercury and Jupiter meet in Sagittarius (the first was November 27th). This combination is incredulous to despair and demands only the most enthusiastic of ideas to come forth. Great for pep talks and party plans, the astrology of this solstice is adding up to nothing short of sensational.

Solstice, Sun enters Capricorn at 2:23 PM PT

In the Northern Hemisphere, the shortest day and longest night also marks the moment of the sun’s eventual return to lengthier stays. Celebrated as the rebirth of the sun, the Winter Solstice is a time where many of our ancestors preformed rituals of welcoming it back. This is just as psychological a process as it is a spiritual or seasonal one. The act of calling back the light is one where we ask to have our conscious awareness awakened.

What are you working on becoming more conscious of? Use the solstice to plant the seed of that intention.

The Winter Solstice is a time to gather with others, light lanterns, set intentions that will grow with the warmth of the sun’s increasing light (much like a new moon), and celebrate the healing powers of the dark. With a glorious full moon on December 22nd, this night sky may be long, but it’s also lit up with endless amounts of inspiration.

In the Southern Hemisphere, the Summer Solstice is arriving. The days are the longest and the nights the shortest. To celebrate this season is to revel in the triumph of light, warmth and the abundance of the earth. It is also to appreciate the oncoming darkness from here on out. Everything in nature is balanced and celebrating its rhythms reminds us to do the same.

The sun will remain in Capricorn until January 20th.

December 22nd

9:48 AM PT – Full Moon at 0° of Cancer

No family, blood or bond, is without its wounds. No group of people that gathers around an intention gets out of the learning process of loving and being loved, without also hurting and being hurt, disappointing and being disappointed.  No gathering of humans gets saved from the necessary work of self-reflection. The nature of family is that we are bound to one another through our joy and our pain.

Bound to bump up against one another’s sorest spots and sweetest attributes.

Working through the issues we encounter within family structures is no small feat. With nothing to solve, we all have to learn how to hold what gets triggered with great care and consciousness. Our past and the feelings that accompany it need to be handled with a slow and steady care. It takes boundaries made of steal to be able to stay with an emotionally charged process instead of trying to rush through it. It takes a great dedication to be loving and kind when trying to earnestly understand other human beings. It takes a great desire to grow up and out of the harmful behaviors we learned as young ones, and every effort to do so is a triumph of epic proportions.

The full moon in Cancer occurs on December 22nd at 9:48 AM PT. Cancer is the cardinal water sign that brings us back home, to the family, to the origin story. Its waters are primordial. Holding space for emotions to rise, flood, and finally wash through us, a full moon in Cancer will always tenderize, and aim to purify, what it touches. Exposing feelings normally covered over by everyday life, this full moon draws to the surface what normally gets to scurry away from examination.

When we allow our feelings to exist, to inform us, and to teach us something that we had previously ignored, we are released from their grip. We are no longer being unconsciously driven by them. We are free to experience more of life as it is, more of ourselves with less burden, and more of our relationships with less projection.

Come this holiday, solstice, full moon season, give yourself the gift of tenderness and release. You can’t heal your family, but you can heal yourself as part of that family unit. You can’t erase the heartbreak of those no longer here, but you can live with the blessing of their memory in all you do. You can’t be the perfect child, parent, sibling, or cousin, but you can be the best you that’s possible in this moment.

The winter solstice is a time of celebration, a time to call the sun back from its most distant journey away from us. A time to kindle the flames within us, lighting our own way back to ourselves. This full moon echoes this sentiment as it finds more hours to shimmer and shine in the longest night in the northern hemisphere. Under this disco heaven, the solstice full moon also has the Ursid meteor showers as its backup dancers, all of which makes for a fantastic celestial celebration if the skies are clear. When the heavens party, so too should we, even if a little emotionally.

Aries & Aries Rising

What you heal within your origin story, you heal in your present and future. No matter what is going on, look to the root of the issue. Investigate your emotional responses. There is great intelligence in them. They speak to something you had to gloss over earlier in life that is now ready to be received.

December’s full moon helps you connect with a home to call your own, in your body and the place you dwell. Be as honest as possible about what you need when you need it. There’s nothing brave about self-denial, but there is great power in the acceptance of yourself, no matter your state.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Cancer, plus bonus solstice and 2019 intention setting rituals.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

December’s full moon finds you in some of the most poignant conversations of the year. What touches your heart needs to roll off your tongue. Tell your siblings, cousins, aunties, and besties how you feel about them. Tell yourself the truth about what ails you. Tell on yourself when your pride is inhibiting your healing.

We all grow through being able to admit to the most difficult of our feelings.

Honesty doesn’t mean we have to give everyone the details of our every pain and predicament. Honesty with others requires us to witness where they are at, where we are at, and where we can meet, if possible. Find ways to stay fluid with your feelings. Cry. Bathe. Sweat. Sing your heart out. Source your joy from the rituals in your life that never let you down. You’ve got an incredible amount to say this year. Give yourself permission to get it off your chest.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

Spend some of your resources on your healing. Spend some of your money on your emotional well-being. Spend some of your assets on what fills you with a feeling of connection to all that keeps you energetically un-stuck.

Issues around money, worth, or your work are most-likely charged with an emotional intensity. Whether you are getting a bonus, or a pivotal professional reflection, December’s full moon wants to remind you that taking care of yourself in the process is of primary importance. Your drive to get a lot accomplished in your work this year is undeniable, but the more you come from a place of nourishment and sustenance, the more you’ll be able to produce that has depth and meaning for you.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

You are a light for many. A source of love and understanding for the masses. A healthy heap of healing for the harrowed. You deserve to give yourself back the same sweetness, the same understanding, and the same generous compassion you dole out daily.

December’s full moon makes it clear that you have an incredible appetite for giving as much as you possibly can. But when you do so without returning the favor to yourself you get crusty. Curmudgeonly. Cautious about good things that want to get to you. While this full moon celebrates all your achievements, and they are many, it reminds you that this is no race. This is a lifetime. This moon is here to remind you that your boundaries and your ability to care for what is inside them, are imperative if you are to accomplish all you want to.

And you want to.

Leo & Leo Rising

Healing is so personal it’s hardly something that can be prescribed to us by another. It’s something we can be guided into, but ultimately its success depends on our ability to tune into ourselves.

December’s full moon makes clear the impact of your self-care rituals. Whatever you have put in place over the past 6 months that has encouraged your healing is revealing its impact. The solstice full moon reminds you of the incredible power of caring for yourself in most mundane of ways.

Water, rest, repeat. Laundry, poetry, repeat. Love, long-walks, repeat.

When you offer yourself the softness of self-love, and the nourishment of compassion for your struggle, you are fortified against the cold winds of the world. 2019 wants you to take seriously how potent this medicine is.

Virgo & Virgo Rising

The solstice full moon makes clear that caring for community, and being cared for by them, is an undeniably important aspect of your mental health. When you know that there are places and spaces you can go to that reflect your yearning for connection, acceptance, and love, you are vaccinated against the bitterness that can so easily seep into the human soul.

Get yourself around the folks that love you and love to celebrate life with you.

December’s full moon reminds you that your family extends out to those you will know intimately as friends and soul-mates as well as those you’ll only know in passing. Family is formed by blood, but also by intention. Make yours one that embraces the kindred spirits that you come across. You never know how you’ll impact someone’s life with even the smallest kindness. Or how you’ll impact your own.

Libra & Libra Rising

The solstice full moon reminds you that if it’s worth your efforts this year, it should flow. If it’s going to be a smash hit, it’s got to feel good for the soul. If it’s going to cost you a tremendous amount of time and energy, some aspect of it needs to be healing. This full moon reflects a blossoming of some aspect of your career. Whatever you began 6 months ago is finding its way to fruition.

Pay attention to what is naturally gaining momentum.

Keep aligning your career ambitions with what moves you. With what feels right to your heart. Get your gut involved. When it says yes, move towards the professional and public opportunities that make it happy. If it makes you queasy, know something about it isn’t kosher.

No one but you knows what the next right move is, but whatever comes to consciousness about your professional and public directions around the full moon acts as confirmation, and any confirmation is cause for celebration. Take time to honor your most cherished achievements of 2018, and see what more you can make of them come 2019.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

The solstice full moon marks a moment where you get to witness the distance that you’ve traveled. The marks that your journey has left upon you can now be worn with pride. You earned these tattoos and you’ve got a tale to tell about them.

Nothing left in its pristine condition has been initiated, at least not into anything interesting. This full moon illuminates the thresholds that you have currently crossed from innocence to expansive experience. It’s hard to understand what it is we are capable of until we risk leaving behind what we’ve always known.

As the full moon celebrates your willingness to try, it also upholds the best of your ideas. Helps to publish your message so that they can be received far and wide. The journey isn’t uncomplicated, but this solstice season there is no mistaking it for being anything but completely worthy of your every effort.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

December’s full moon reveals the value of the collaborations you’ve invested time, energy, and talent into over the past 6 months. Who has come through? Which partnerships get you and know how to grow with you?

Not every investment is meant to bring the returns you expect, however. Some situations reveal themselves as unable to care at the level you can, and should be noted as such. You have unlimited creative energy at your disposal, but a limited amount of hours in your day and life.

With so many waiting in the wings to get with the good energy you are giving the world right now, remember that you aren’t desperate for any one person or place to validate your efforts or ideas. Believe in the abundance of your options and then align yourself with the best fits available.

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

There’s reason to celebrate with your loved ones. Whatever you have been working on within the containers of your committed relationships over the last 6 months is coming to fruition with the solstice full moon.

But so too are some lessons in (self-) love.

Nothing shows us how we are doing like the most important relationships in our life. The people we tend to take for grated will often be the receivers of our least thoughtful responses. How we speak to our loved ones is often a reflection of our inner dialogue.

December’s full moon reminds you to offer yourself the compassion you crave and then see what you are able to extend to others. It asks you to offer yourself a soft place to land and then notice how much more patience you have for others. It reminds you to offer yourself the amount of nourishment you need and then notice how much more you seem to have to give. Developing compassion, care, and kindness for yourself is the sweetest thing you can do for all the loves of your life.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising

The solstice full moon lets you know which of your professional projects have been worth your efforts. The seeds you have been watering over the past six months now bear fruit worth feasting on. Enjoy all that your labor, and some luck, has produced.

As your work-life and health enjoy the nourishment of your discipline, you get to take note of your reaction to it. Growth is funny thing. Sometimes it’s repulsive to the part of us that struggles the most. The thought of being worthy of our success can set off every resistance we have to it. Loving ourselves through the unexpected reactions to our own advancements is imperative to our well being, but it can take many moons to learn how to do so. Give yourself time and as each lunation ebbs and flows allow yourself to absorb a little more of its energy, light, and wisdom.

Pisces & Pisces Rising

The solstice full moon marks a moment that is ripe with potential for your creative growth. Take note of what you began putting together, experimenting with, and encouraging to grow 6 months ago. What about it is now coming into its own?

With an abundance of feeling, this full moon asks you to pour your emotional intelligence into the containers that best suit it. In 2019, you’ll have the energy to manifest many of your aspirations. As you do, make sure to maintain the depth you wish to imbue everything with. Otherwise your appetite for success will only stretch your capacity to consume, but not your ability to create what is most meaningful to you.

December 6th

Mercury stations direct at 27° of Scorpio

Happening on the same day as one of the most auspicious new moons of the year, Mercury’s about face points us in the direction of positive movements. When planets change direction, they pull focus. Mercury’s station direct isn’t impeded by any other planet making it all the more helpful and in line with today’s fresh start. It also means that Mercury will soon re-enter Sagittarius and conjunct Jupiter for a second time in this sign. This gives us an extra opportunity to send and receive good news in the weeks to come.

For now, only Uranus is retrograde, making this one of the most retrograde-free zones of 2018. With little in our way, it’s the perfect time to get to work on what we most want to manifest this lunar cycle.

11:20 PM PT – New Moon at 15° of Sagittarius

The last new moon of 2018 has us going out on an incredibly high note. Next to Jupiter, its ruler, this new moon is auspiciously situated. Jupiter loves to help out. It’s a planet that brings bounty where there was lack. An energy of renewal where there was a loss of faith. Jupiter takes what was flat and fills it out into 3-D form. A new moon in the same sign as Jupiter, with this much strength, imbues everything we begin at this time with some cosmic special sauce.

Tremendous in its offerings, this new moon encourages us to become a channel for its gifts. Both Jupiter and Sagittarius are spiritual in their pursuits and when centered in generosity, spirituality is a force unlike any other. This new moon reminds us that we become what we are able to give. We succeed when we are confident enough to share what we have without need for praise in return. Jupiter in Sagittarius and this new moon want to school us in the subtle art of having faith in our ability to expand no matter who would rather we stayed small.

Sagittarius moves. It knows little defeat because of its sheer momentum. It must gallop towards a horizon, no matter how far off, far reaching, or far-fetched, scoffing at naysayers along the way. This new moon encourages us to act on our intuitive wisdom, developing a connection to it as we go.

With this new moon, we have the ability to forge ahead with what seemed formerly impossible, inconceivable, or unreachable.

May we all go forth and prosper.

December 7th

Mars conjuncts Neptune at 13° of Pisces

This is both a strange and sweet connection. Strange because Mars is the planet of direct, decisive action and Neptune is anything but straightforward. The mists of Avalon have nothing on this planet. Enveloping Mars in its intoxicating and disorienting vapors, today’s astrology is best used to imagine and fantasize about where it is we want to go. Getting there isn’t necessarily for today, but if we do it will be through taking the wonkiest of roads or by complete and utter beginner’s luck.

December 12th

Mercury re-enters Sagittarius

The usual hard-time Mercury has in Sagittarius is negated by the blessing of being with its current ruler, Jupiter. Mercury makes grand plans but also has the energy and enthusiasm to get them done. Operating on faith alone can be risky business, but Mercury will have us doing so for a spell. See what believing in yourself and encouraging your best efforts can get done.

December 16th

Venus in Scorpio sextiles Saturn in Capricorn, both at at 9°

Today’s astrology helps us to accomplish great tasks with little effort and a lot of pleasure. Venus and Saturn team up to remind us that productive partnerships inspire our maturity. Commitments that are correct for us inspire something integral to our becoming. Bond with those that make you want to show up as all you can be.

Mars in Pisces sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, both at 19°

Mars and Pluto, as a duo, deepen our drive. These two encourage us to believe in our power so that we might make happen what would otherwise seem impossible. These two are incredibly persuasive, encouraging us to make the most of what we have while working it any way we can.

December 20th

Sun in Sagittarius trines Uranus in Aries, both at 28°

As the sun and Uranus team up, they help us find ways to be triumphant in our ability to define ourselves for ourselves. Being true to you is nothing short of revolutionary and as you do, you inspire others around you to do the same. This chain reaction helps us all to think outside the box, finding creative solutions to our most intense problems.

Your new moon horoscopes are meant to be read as an affirmation. Please reword as you need to. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. Aries & Aries Rising

I know that my life is made abundant by the blessings I choose to focus on. I know that blessings overlooked have little power compared to the ones amplified, lifted up, and given a place on the mantle of my life. I know that even when people, places, and things fail me, I have a few key gratitude go-to’s to rest my conscious awareness upon.

I look back on my life and I refuse to feel anything but compassion for all I have struggled with. I have gratitude for all I have been given, and love for the paths I have had the good fortune of treading.

I sit downstream from fortune. I take the actions that activate my potential. I move confidently towards a future that feels me. Being able to listen, attuning my inner ear, and aligning my decisions with my gut instincts is the marker of my growth. I need no one else’s rulebook to succeed. If I have good friends who are willing to challenge me to do better as much as they are willing to love me through the easy and the extreme, I am amongst the richest people on the planet.

December’s new moon reminds me to set my sights on what I most want, most desire, and yearn for. Even if I never get there, at least I’ll not waste a moment on getting where I don’t really want to be. I promise myself that I will not spend a moment of 2019 wondering if I can do what I was put here to, wavering on whether I am worth it, or waffling on myself in any way, shape, or form.

Taurus & Taurus Rising

December’s new moon reminds me of what is possible when I place myself in the partnerships that inspire my best efforts and offer me theirs. Those that know how to expand their reach through joyful and generous connections to life. Those that create spaces where others can heal and help themselves. Those that know that giving is the only gold worth mining.

The generosity that I receive from others is humbling. The generosity I relieve from others is healing. The generosity that I receive from others is the perfect counter to the hostility this world dolls out daily. I am in deep gratitude for all that I am given, everyday. I know that I am growing through the collaborations that can energetically match me, challenge me, and cheer me on and up.

Generating wealth means that I refuse to stay stuck. Generosity flows and I am learning to move with it. When I feel afraid to change, to grow and to expand through possibilities that others offer me, I know to ask myself why. I know that to be afraid of what I might lose is understandable, but it’s no place to build a home.

Gemini & Gemini Rising

December’s new moon reminds me just how sacred my relationships are. My life is always expanding or contracting through my chosen partnerships, so I choose them thoughtfully. I know that the more I heal, the less I need to please. The less I need to please, the more room there is for partnerships that are abundant in pleasure and purpose.

I’m not here to dull my shine because others can’t deal with their reflection.

With this new moon, I recommit to experiencing the abundance of a good fit. With this new moon, I remember patience for all that is still finding its way to me. With this new moon I refuse to feel like I am missing out on anything if the partnerships I wish for have yet to materialize. At this point I know that my ability to meditate on the energy I wish to attract is the most potent and powerful declaration I can make. It’s an action that helps me decipher who I should pursue and who to let loose. The more I pay attention to what feels like a good fit, the less interested I am in lying to myself when something isn’t. The more I give myself, the more tender I am able to be with what is difficult.

With this new moon I commit to creating spaces where mutual growth is a given, independence is celebrated, and the unions I create with others are a fortress for refueling.

Cancer & Cancer Rising

With December’s new moon, I commit to outgrowing the attitudes that keep my work from expanding. I take note of where I tend to run out of gratitude. I scour my systems for resentments that lead to my own lack of effort. I make it a priority to parse out the pouting I might do. Instead of stewing in defensiveness, I make it a priority to find ways to be productive. I bring my every effort to making sure difficult things are communicated with as deft and caring a sentiment as is possible, but I refuse to stay caught in what isn’t solution oriented.

I am committed to envisioning professional solutions to any and all work woes.

This new moon reminds me that I am growing my capacity to cater to the work I most wish to do. I am focused on the abundance of good I get to contribute and receive in all my professional positions.

I am in partnership with my professional life. I am in an ever-transforming, ever-evolving, ever-blossoming exchange with all that I work on. I refuse to be a martyr to this process and instead see what happens when I come at it with an attitude of strength, confidence, and abundance.

I am dedicated to entering 2019 with a policy of no whining, no entitlement, and no allegiance to anything that squanders my talent. There is little that can stop me when I stay willing to work, wonder, and outgrow any need to people please. My talent teaches me all it can do when working outside of others expectations of me.

Leo & Leo Rising

December’s new moon reminds me of the endless power of my creative energy well-played. Poured into the containers that respect and keep me interested, my creative drive is a force that fields its own opportunities. I know that developing the capacity to find the right fit for it is a skill of its own, so I hone my relationship with my intuitive knowledge.

I know when something feels right. I know when something feels off. I know the difference between what is mine, and what is interesting, exciting, but ultimately not for me to do. I do not push for things that are someone else’s.

I save my energy to move towards what calls me to it.

I know that gratitude is a giver. I know that the more I offer thanks for the opportunities that are in my life, the more I am reminded to see them as such. Entitlement clouds my judgement, sours my soul, and limits my capacity to create. The more I show up to my creative projects with a sense of awe and wonder for what they are revealing to me, the more I will be able to serve them.

For a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for this auspicious new moon, join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Sagittarius, Full Moon in Cancer and the Lunar Cycle from December 6th – January 4th (PLUS Bonus Solstice and 2019 Intention Setting Rituals).

Virgo & Virgo Rising

The wealth of cultivating an inner life never ceases to amaze me. Each time I heal some piece of my past, I get to experience more of my potential. The more I lose interest in the relationships that dangle only the promise of connection in front of me, the more I know I am worthy of love. The more grounded I feel, the less interested I am in doing the things that sabotage my best efforts.

December’s new moon reminds me that in order to have a successful 2019, I need to know home. I can’t understand what I am capable of if I have little to no place to call my own. I am willing to do what is necessary to build it, and I am worth the work it takes to make the stable structures that my dreams need. I work on healing what I can with family. I make an effort to give more to those that help me know connection. I dedicate my energy to taking care of my core needs, values, and desires.

With this new moon, I give myself permission to thrive in the areas I have denied myself or been denied. I know that to shrink is never a demand I need to make on myself. I know that to thrive is an honor not everyone gets, so however I can get it, I go with it.

Libra & Libra Rising

December’s new moon opens up a month that makes clear how powerful my communications are. I make sure to be direct about what I need, what I mean, and what my intentions are. The more forward I can be, the more I can grow my connections in the ways I most care to. These days are filled with teachings about who is on my team and who is on an entirely different planet.

I go with the gravitational pull that is as pleasing as it is powerful. I fill my daily life with an abundance of activities that bring me back into balance. I know that any complaints I have about not having enough time are only impairing my ability to be able to maximize the moments that I do have. I refuse to be at the whim of my day. I put myself in my schedule, making a little bit of time into a moment of quality care for myself.

I pay attention to the messages that come to me. I am in contact with a great many more humans than usual, but I am also in contact with a great deal more energy than normal. I do not dismiss or diminish my intuitive cues and clues. Instead I track them, making note of every time they put me onto something unforeseeably joyous, important, or devastatingly true. I know that I am given clues about directions to take all day long. The more I develop this muscle, the stronger my connection to my entire life.

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

December’s new moon is helping me to understand just how frequently I am gifted with the means to make my dreams come true. Having a certain talent is one thing we all have in common; having the ability to develop it is not. I am incredibly grateful for whatever ways I am able to dig into, explore and give of my gifts. Humbled by the amount I still have to learn, I find all the ways possible to perfect my practice.

I am now able to feel the impact of encouraging my resources to reveal themselves. The more I work with them, the more I am able to understand what they want to do. Each asset that I put to use helps me understand how I can be of better service in the world. Growth isn’t mine alone. The more I am able to offer, the more I put myself in the position of receiving.

I know I was put here to flourish, but not for myself alone.

With this new moon, I work at unravelling any assumptions made by my ego, especially of my greatness, superiority, or invincibility. That way, I can understand the truth of my talents and blessings, and experience them with great gratitude.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

December’s new moon is decidedly one of the more important ones of recent years for me. I no longer have the luxury of hiding who I am, though that never felt particularity pleasurable to me. I no longer have the privilege of pretending I don’t care about my most potent dreams (doing so only repressed my systems and ability to feel joy). I no longer have any interest in fitting in, a symptom of the human condition that makes me more robot than the original I really am.

It has come to my attention that it is time to relinquish any kind of conventional comfort that I might receive from suppressing my natural state of being. I am free to be my joyful, rambunctious, ridiculously irreverent/reverent self. It has come to my attention that too much creative energy wants to run through me to be caught up in what others deem respectable.

I know that I have to face the consequences of any and all of my..

November 22nd

Sun enters Sagittarius

Get ready for a Sagittarius season like no other. With Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, back in its home sign, we are granted some much needed celestial assistance. This is no magic wand – no astrology is – but when our efforts are met with even a little opportunity, it can re-ignite our faith in life. Jupiter is the great ‘Yes!’ of the cosmos. It receives, accepts, and meets us with a positive affirmation of our potential. Jupiter wants everyone to grow. It knows that keeping good things to oneself only limits our ability to experience the best of life. Generosity breeds more of the same and this Sagittarius season is here to help us remember the power of giving what we’ve got.

9:39 PM PT – Full Moon at 0° Gemini

With November’s full moon in Gemini, the mutable air sign known for its ability to inspire endless conversations, we’ll not suffer from a lack of things to discuss.

Situated across from the sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Sagittarius, this full moon is able to get a good look at Jupiter’s newly minted Sagittarius style. Receiving both the abundance and magnifying powers of Jupiter, this full moon feels big. Bountiful. Celebratory. Take note of the growth that you have undergone, the healing that you have made happen, and the power you are granted access to when you make an effort to care about the success of those around you.

Ruled by Mercury, who is currently retrograde, and sitting across from Jupiter and squaring Mars, this full moon also magnifies any communication issues we might stumble across. Take note of who you find yourself conversing with and what it helps to clarify for you. In whatever ways you can, try to be generous with your respect for yourself and others when having more challenging talks.

For those in the US, this full moon falls on the holiday weekend whose origins are as deceitful as they are devastating. How we choose to spend time with the people we love and are related to through blood or emotional bonds can make all the difference. For those in our circles and at our tables that have privilege to spare but little consciousness about it, offering roads into conversations that can expand understanding and willingness to make a difference can catalyze important change. Family members (ourselves included) that hold institutional power are made all the more wealthy when giving away what we’ve unfairly received becomes a priority.

The family drama and holiday blues that might also surround these times are poked at, prodded, and made more obvious with the help of the full moon. These times are opportunities to hold the more challenging aspects of our past and present with greater consciousness and, hopefully, some healing.

No historic injustice, inequity, or injury can be cured in an evening, weekend or even lifetime. But to leave our wounds in conditions where they will fester only makes the process more painful. When we all do what we can within the framework we’ve been given, and with the capacities we have in the moment, we are granted an understanding of what is possible.

November 24th

Neptune stations direct at 13° Pisces

Any planet or point we might have in our chart around 13° of Pisces will be impacted most by Neptune’s station direct. Mystical, sometimes maddening, and always weird, Neptune transits never move along a straight line. Diversions can create the most magical gateways or the most frustrating detours. Either way, we are benefited most when we allow ourselves to just “go with it”. Neptune reminds us that we have little power over how life shows up, but all the power in how we show up for it. Use this day to practice riding the waves of your days and seeing what happens when you allow your intuition to guide you.

November 25th

Sun conjuncts Jupiter at 3° Sagittarius

Today’s astrology will likely be felt as one of the most positive transits of the year. As Jupiter enters the heart of the sun, the magnanimity of both these celestial bodies is amplified. The gift of Jupiter is the gift of getting excited for others people’s success. It is the gift of inclusion. The gift of prosperity that only generosity can create.

We are not wealthy because of what we have. We are made wealthy by what we give.

There are special properties available to us the day a planet makes its exact conjunction with the sun. Infused with the solar light, power, and strength of the sun, this combination wants to help us out by granting us confidence in the area of our chart that contains Sagittarius. Your horoscope speaks to this transit and some of the ways in which you might use it. For all of us, this is a day to give, shed light, and share ours with as much joy as joy can muster.

November 26th

Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius squares Mars in Pisces, both at 6°

On the heels of yesterdays’ bounty and abundance comes today’s  tension and possible strife. Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius is unable to keep things straight and Mars is only too happy to be punishing about any misunderstandings. The more generous we can be with our patience, the better we can get to the actual truth. Otherwise, today might feel like we are trying to run through quicksand. We might need to wait for the ground to dry out before we can get anywhere, which is what tomorrow’s astrology promises to do.

November 27th

Mercury Retrograde makes its inferior conjunction to the sun in Sagittarius at 5°, then conjuncts Jupiter at 4° in Sagittarius

With Mercury making a conjunction with both the sun and then Jupiter, we are privy to important messages, insights, and communications. Mercury is still retrograde, making communications not necessarily difficult, but certainly different. Planets that are retrograde do their jobs differently. Kind of like listening to a record backwards to receive a secret message, it’s worth our effort to listen to what might be hiding in plane sight. Today’s astrology brings with it the blessings of being proven right. What we’ve always known deep down inside gets validated so that we can have more confidence in bringing it forth.

Bottom line is, believe in yourself.

Mars in Pisces sextiles Saturn in Capricorn, both at 7°

Another helpful aspect that today brings is Mars and Saturn in a sweet and supportive sextile. On the same team, these badasses bring us an incredible determination to use in pursuit of whatever needs a little extra effort from us.

November 30th

Venus in Libra opposes Uranus in Aries, both at 29°

Venus and Uranus have been at it since September. Opposing one another mostly from Scorpio and Taurus, Venus and Uranus have both retrograded back into Aries and Libra to continue the duel. With Venus back in her home sign, relationship dynamics get a chance to surface in more straightforward ways. Minor disturbances become more major under these circumstances and we get to make the changes necessary for ours, and our partnerships’ liberation.

December 1st

Mercury Retrograde re-enters Scorpio

Between today and tomorrow, Mercury and then Venus return to Scorpio, signs they were both just previously in thanks to Mercury’s current retrograde and Venus’s previous one. Something here is still under review, making intense investigations into the lessons we’ve recently come to learn about ourselves important. You might get an important message about an edit or revision to a creative project or relationship dynamic.

December 2nd

Venus enters Scorpio

Back in Scorpio, where she originally stationed retrograde in October, Venus once again goes goth. Into the deep, Venus brings us in touch with our more intense feelings and relationship dynamics. Still in review of the last retrograde road she traveled, Venus is in her post-shadow period until December 18th.

Sun in Sagittarius squares Mars in Pisces, both at 10°

The astrology of today and December 5th puts the sun in a precarious position. Arguments, difficulties, and duels feel inescapable. Whatever challenges we face might tempt us towards hostility. Remind yourself that your temper might be understandable, but burning yourself out with unbridled anger isn’t going to help you any.

December 5th

Sun in Sagittarius squares Neptune in Pisces, both at 13°

Today’s astrology might leaves us feeling a little washed out. A square from Neptune to the sun does nothing for clarity or confidence, but it can spur on our creativity and compassion. Details  get glazed over so be cautious about your own capacities. Taking a nap works wonders if it’s an available option.

Horoscopes for Aries & Aries Rising

November’s full moon highlights the quality of your connections. All of the notes, comments, and quips from loved ones feel especially potent at the moment. The people that you are in constant, but not necessarily lengthy, contact with come through with the most important messages of the month. Take note of the themes that fill you inbox.

Make time for the siblings, friends, and allies that are willing to work through difficulties with you. Who in your life models integrity in conflict? What are you learning about staying clear, focused, and true to yourself no matter the mayhem you find yourself in? Whether it be in family or friend gatherings during the full moon, or later in the month, take note of the folks in your life that come to your aid in the most gracious and generous of ways.

We never stop learning how to have honest conversations. Hopefully it gets easier, but the challenge is an important one no matter our level of expertise. The more dignity you can grant yourself and everyone else in your exchanges, the more you’ll connect to the power you do have in any given moment.

Wanting to be right is human, but wanting to understand something new about ourselves through our interactions is a divine gift. The more open you are to learning about your prejudices, hang-ups, and how you shut down when things hit close to home is a far greater accomplishment than proving a point. The more we understand how we work, the less likely we are to let anyone or anything confuse, manipulate, or distort what it is we are trying to get across.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Taurus & Taurus Rising

November’s full moon highlights your relationship with your talents and potential earnings. Whatever professional or financial plan you have been developing over the past 6 months is revealing its ability and strength. What are you being rewarded, paid or praised for that has the potential to support you in some fairly substantial way? Is it something you want to keep doing, or are you realizing it’s something that you have gotten all you can from? Passionately pursue more if the former, and confidently move on if the latter. It behooves you to believe in the abundance available to you right now.

Whomever you are joining forces with, collaborating with, and conspiring with will be revealing their potential over the next couple of weeks. Make it a priority to give the best of what you have to those that make an effort with you. Holding back will only keep you in the same place. This is the time to impress others with the skills you have been developing and most want to work with. Let others know the kind of talent that you possess if it has yet to be professionally or publicly expressed. Any project that is being done for the first time needs to be held with a willingness and an abundantly optimistic refusal of defeat. As long as you are rolling with others that can get that deep, you’re on the path of potent mutual growth.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Gemini & Gemini Rising

The light of November’s full moon in Gemini flatters you. Celebrating your recent victories, the full moon offers you a moment of self-reflection, validation, and magnification. Whatever you have accomplished and whatever you are in need of will be amplified. Don’t let the information arise in vain. Whatever is made obvious by this full moon wants you to take it seriously.

The last half of November and beginning of December encourages you to extend yourself to others in as generous a way as possible. As you do, you’ll most likely notice a flood of opportunities returning the favor. The more you cultivate a discerning faith in the goodness of those around you, the more you’ll be able to find the partnerships best suited for your growth.

Who in your life teaches you how to say yes to your well-being and, by extension, your joy? Who teaches you to push past your self-imposed limitations to see what else is possible? Who reminds you that self-acceptance matched with accountability is key to success? Right now one of the most powerful things for you to do is put yourself in spaces where you are with others that challenge you to expand your awareness, deepen your commitment to your development, and find all possible ways to celebrate the love in your life.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Cancer & Cancer Rising

October’s full moon reminds you of the importance of down time. Staring at the ceiling is a lost art. Zero screen time for a day is a rarity and a gift to our entire being. Get offline around the full moon and fill yourself up with whatever is restorative for your psyche. Just below the surface of busy lies a bevy of inspiration.

Let your life breathe freely for a moment.

In order to cash in on the considerable professional opportunities that are coming your way, it’s important to stay focused on your intention for all you do. Right now it is easy for you to feel overwhelmed. If simply being busy isn’t the end game for you, work on recognizing and serving what is satisfying and soulful. When your creative potential serves your life purpose, your work takes flight in ways that defy logic. The more you relax into this realization, the more directly you’ll be guided to the projects that are perfect containers for your talents.

From the end of November through the beginning of December, your professional pursuits need your thorough attention and as much of your patience as is possible. Both of which are pretty hard to come by if you are running on empty. Fill up your reserves for the benefit of your entire being. It’s one thing to wish for an opportunity; it’s another thing altogether to rise the the occasion of fulfilling it. Rest when you can in anticipation of all you’ll have the chance to do.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Leo & Leo Rising

November’s full moon proves just how effective it is to nurture your networks. This is the perfect time to reflect on the community partnerships you have been building over the course of the past 6 months. Good luck comes to those that stay in connection with and in conversation with their dreams. Whatever you are committed to building with the benefit of others in mind has a tremendous power and a long-lasting purpose.

Keep curious about how you can fulfill more than just your own agenda. Creativity loves generosity. Abundance is a polyamorous love muffin. The more flirtatious you are with bounteousness, the more inspiration and energy you’ll receive. It’s a positive feedback loop like no other.

This year, more than most, reminds you that what delights you is a non-negotiable in regards to your overall success. The more you source it from your current surroundings, they more you are reminded that pleasure is only found in the appreciation of the moment and those you share it with. The friends you choose to spend your precious time with have the power to fill in all kinds of gaps that your family of origin may have left. Gather with those that know how to appreciate your efforts and reciprocate with their own.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Virgo & Virgo Rising

November’s full moon pulls focus on the accomplishments in your career. What have you recently felt like you’ve been able to conquer, triumph over, or accomplish professionally? Take any positive affirmations about your efforts at work to heart. Right now what shows up in your public life is more than likely connected to the healing that is going on in your inner world. Notice any perspective change you are experiencing about old wounds that comment on your abilities, talents, or value add. With this full moon, you get the incredibly valuable experience of witnessing your current reality as separate from your earlier years, but in relationship to how much you’ve been able to heal. The quality of this moment comes via your ability to make peace with your past.

As the full moon fades, you become more aware of the importance of this inner work that you are doing. Come a year from now you will have had multiple opportunities to release yourself from any expectation of being able to save, change, or rescue anyone you are close with. With Jupiter moving through your 4th house you are visited by a deep faith in your own healing process. With that comes a deeper faith in everyone else’s. As you are released from feeling responsible for other people’s happiness, you are able to grant yourself the gift of your own happiness, which has the power to heal the wounds of multiple generations.

NOW 50% OFF: In this month’s lunar workshop, I’ve got a reading, ritual and guided meditation for your sign for both the full moon and Jupiter in Sagittarius.

Horoscopes for Libra & Libra Rising

There’s nothing worse than believing we are trapped, doomed, or destined to live a life of little enjoyment. Right now you are well situated to receive copious amount of messages to the contrary.

Stay tuned.

It’s easy to let the cacophony of life drown out our intuitive wisdom, but keeping connected to it is a super power like no other you can access. Your ability to perceive the right direction to take is on overdrive over the course of the next year. The more effort you put towards validating the information that your intuition brings you, the stronger the messages will appear.

November’s full moon makes this message crystal clear.

The light of this particular lunation helps you to see all the small and seemingly insignificant actions you took to accomplish your current reality. Take them in. So much of our life purpose is present in the little interactions of our lives. The full moon acts like a signal boost, helping you see the value of your struggle and the wisdom of your journey thus far, even if it has felt nonsensical.

As the last days of November roll out, you get to clear up a relationship issue that has, until now, refused to rest. What you need and what partners, either romantic or professional, need might be entirely different at the moment. When we are confronted by the truth about the difference, imbalance, or challenge with another, liberation usually lies on the other end of the difficulty. The truth that gets sets free for you come the end of November opens up a whole new understanding of what is possible for you in relationship. Keep choosing to outgrow the relationship dynamics that keep you playing smaller roles than you’re destined for.

Horoscopes for Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

November’s full moon highlights the collaborations in your life that are working in your favor. You are currently undergoing a year-long exploration of how to work with your resources for maximum good. The right relationships will only emphasize the impact of what you have to give, and only a significant imprint piques your interest right now.

Notice the strides you’ve recently made to eliminate feeling like you are functioning from any kind of personal deficit. While Jupiter was in Scorpio (October 2017-November 2018) it taught us much about the cathartic power of healing, expansion through cultivating depth, and turning towards our most painful wounds so that we might better understand the power locked within them.

If Jupiter in Scorpio was a magnification of our underworlds, Jupiter in Sagittarius is an exploration of our horizons.

Jupiter in Sagittarius

On November 8th, Jupiter, planet of growth, good-will, and abundance will enter Sagittarius, one of the two signs (the other is Pisces) that Jupiter calls home. Jupiter’s entrance into a new sign signals a shift in what gets magnified. Over the course of the next 13 months, it will spend its time and energy making more out of the issues we face, with a Sagittarius flare.

It’s about to get abundantly enthusiastic in here.

Here until December 2nd, 2019, this is the first time since the late fall of 2006 that Jupiter has visited its home. In Sagittarius, Jupiter has all of the power, energy, and confidence it needs to do its job.

Get ready to grow.

Sagittarius is a sign that functions on faith. As a fire sign, Sagittarius takes action. As a mutable sign, Sagittarius diversifies its directions, ever open to new experiences. As the seeker, the arrow in the bow, the centaur ready to gallop off to great adventures, Sagittarius is here for the journey and all it can learn along the way.

But its adventures must be meaning-full.

Sagittarius is happiest when learning, teaching, and discovering a multitude of ways to experience life. Sagittarius finds its answers by trusting its intuition. Fire signs follow, with great gusto, the strongest inspirational current that runs through them.

Jupiter’s time in Sagittarius will help us to expand through the development of our faith and the “luck” it tends to align us with. Fire signs take action via their intuition and Jupiter in Sagittarius will inspire us to do so. Through this transit, we will develop a greater understanding of what we believe in and why.

However.

A planet in its own sign is extreme. Without reflection, without pause, it pursues its aim with unearned confidence. It knows only how to be itself. Seeking its aim without shame. Needing no approval, it is sometimes impervious to being checked.

With this combination, that can translate into an increase in the proliferation of dogmatic philosophies. Proselytizing easily becomes a pastime. In general, Jupiter in Sagittarius is incredibly fortunate unless it is just impervious to common sense.

Faith without critical thought is delusion. Growth without a moral compass is corruption. Consuming as much as is possible is a greed that can only lead to a deep, spiritual depression.

These are shadows of Jupiter on overdrive.

Jupiter Square Neptune

With a square to Neptune in Pisces as the only major aspect Jupiter in Sagittarius makes in the next 13 months, we need to encourage a clarity of truth to come forward as best we can. Under a tense aspect like this one, Jupiter and Neptune tend towards a delusional idealism, magical thinking, unfounded optimism, and an anesthetic to the pain we so desperately, and understandably, want to escape.

We are, as a global community, awakening to so much, so quickly. Coming to consciousness is not an easy, feel-good experience. We are in the process of trying to grapple with a tremendously long and brutal history, while trying to create a kinder, less harmful current reality.

It’s a lot of trauma to unpack, understand and attempt to heal.

Both Jupiter and Neptune can help us do so, however. With Neptune sitting in Jupiter’s other home sign (Pisces), there may very well be a helpful collaboration between these two, resulting in a greater compassion, empathy, and awareness of one another’s pain.

With Jupiter and Neptune in a square on and off until September of 2019, we will most likely be privy to many a parlor trick promising us discounts on justice and an everlasting place in a heaven not built for our well-being. We may trick ourselves into thinking quick fixes are for real. In this astrological weather, some will want to find loop holes. But to buy into distraction is even more dangerous at this point in the  human adventure. It’s fair to want to opt out, but irresponsible to actually do so.

There are a million healthy ways to take a break and refuel without falling out of the movements of our becoming.

Jupiter will square Neptune on:

  • January 13th, 2019, both at 14°
  • June 16th, 2019, both at 18°
  • September 21st, 2019, both at 17°

Jupiter Retrograde

Every year Jupiter will spend about 4 months retrograde. These are months where we get to review our growth, making sure we are expanding honestly, and growing wisely. Because Jupiter is in its own sign, its strength is diminished during these months but not entirely put out. The most difficulty Jupiter will have is the square to Neptune while it is retrograde on June 16th.

If you have any planets or points between 14° – 24° of Sagittarius, they will receive extra time and attention from the Goddess of Growth.

Jupiter will be retrograde from April 10th through to August 11th. Jupiter will retrograde from 24° to 14° of Sagittarius.

Jupiter’s transit Through Our Charts

In Sagittarius, Jupiter is here to teach us the expansiveness of our reach and the importance of honoring our impact. Jupiter says yes to life. It teaches us how to include, accept, and gather good things through giving what we have. In Sagittarius, especially so. Personally, this transit is incredibly helpful for any planet, point, or house in our chart that contains Sagittarius. Simply having Jupiter transit through the same sign as other planets or points in your chart will grant them ease, grace, and good fortune.

Those with significant placements (sun, moon, ascendant, or ascendant ruler) in fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) and in air signs (Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius) will do especially well with this transit. Jupiter in Sagittarius will have you feeling like you have extra wind in your sails, and a generous helping of abundant optimism, whatever that means for you and in your situation.

Jupiter Cycles

Because Jupiter has a 12 year orbit, whether or not you have any planets or points in Sagittarius, Jupiter is in the same part of your chart that it was 12 years ago. That means you are experiencing a growth spurt in the same area of your life that you did then (late 2006 – late 2007). You can read your horoscope below for more insight into what this might mean for you, and to jog your memory as to the development that this moment is continuing with. Like waves, the planets build upon their own rhythms.

Jupiter Return

If you were born with Jupiter in Sagittarius, you are experiencing what astrologers call a ‘Jupiter Return’. This happens around the ages of 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, and 96 (though you might be one of these ages and not have Jupiter in Sagittarius). A Jupiter return will tend to magnify your natal Jupiter’s significations. Whatever Jupiter is doing in your chart, whatever it means in regards to your life’s direction (especially poignant for folks with Sagittarius rising and Jupiter in Sagittarius), the 13 months Jupiter spends here will illuminate something specifically important about your growth at this moment. If you have natal Jupiter in Sagittarius, transiting Jupiter in Sagittarius will most likely feel like an extremely positive time period for you. The meaning of the house that your natal Jupiter is in and transiting Jupiter is moving through, will most likely feel especially blessed from late 2018 to late 2019.

Cultivating Good Growth

In preparation for Jupiter’s entrance into Sagittarius, all of us, no matter our sun or rising sign, moon, Mercury, Venus, or Jupiter sign,  can assist this Planet Of Plenty.

Do what you can to allow the omnipresent abundance of your life to permeate your every cell. Waste not one moment of this transit on doubting the growth you are doing. Waste not one moment of this transit refusing the gifts presented to you because you feel undeserving of them. Waste not one moment of this transit questioning your quest if it is one of curiosity, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to seeking the truth.

Whatever we want to manifest must be grown in every moment of our lives. There is no one action we take to shift the tides. It is with each action we take that we shape the growth of our world. May we grow an unwavering commitment to creating spaces where healing is justice, and justice is healing.

We need not any more growth of gluttony, excess, fear, or hatred. It’s time to grow our capacity to do right by ourselves, our neighbors, loved ones, ancestors, and future family members.

Onward.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

Clear space for abundance to arrive. Goddesses of Growth prefer an open floor plan to play with. Crowded corners are offensive to the deities that want to develop your life. They either leave or increase your clutter.

Better to start with as clean a slate as possible.

As Jupiter enters your 9th house of travel, adventure, education, and inquiry, you are granted 13 months to explore. This is the time to remove the constraints of time from your fantasy life. Momentarily cast aside conventional thinking about what you can get done in a year. Jupiter is here to keep you focused on the mystery of the open road that lies before you.

It is not your job to assume what any one event will lead to. It is only your job to make sure that you are giving yourself access to the optimism needed to stay in the game.

Anything is possible if you put yourself on the path you most want to be on. Not much will happen if you don’t.

What is the experience you most wish to have over the course of the next year? Envision it now. Use the feeling that this fantasy conjures within you as the framework for your big plans. If it feels similar, go for it. If it feels denser, more contracted, or restrictive, wait for the next opportunity to appear. Jupiter likes abundance, but the most powerful way to work with this energy is via optimistic discernment. Know that if you feel an internal “no” about something it means that another thing is trying to get to you. Something tailored to you, eager for you, and ready to work wonders with you.

This next year will help you to roll out some incredibly important long-term plans. Make sure they are the kind that make you want to rush towards them offering all you’ve got.

Astro Pro-tip: Jupiter travelled through your 9th house from late 2006-late 2007. What did you learn? Where did you travel? What did you publish, seek, and find to be true for you then? What similar growth spurt are you experiencing now? How is your current exploration, expansion, or learning a continuation of that time?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

You are wanted. In demand. In need of the right collaborations to complement your current growth trajectory.

Like a puzzle piece that fits into a larger picture of mutual success, you are being guided towards the best possible fits for your talents. Do not waste any time trying to become the shape of some other piece. You are the perfect you, don’t break yourself to fit in.

Over the course of the next 13 months, you will expand through those that you spend the most time with. You will attract to you opportunities for growth through the collaborations you commit to.

Don’t agree to just any old collaboration.

Study any tendencies you have for self depreciation so severe it severs you from the roads that will get you where you need to be. Study the tendency you have of refusing a perfect prospect because they don’t arrive in the packaging you prefer. Study any situation that you find yourself in that stimulates your curiosity and activates your imagination. You now find and join with the folks that have the assets and resources that you need. Knowing which options to take, and which to pass on, is all the easier when you are equal amounts open and discerning.

As Jupiter travels through your 8th house from late 2018 through late 2019, it helps you to heal wounds you would have thought previously impossible to address. These healings help you to access a greater wealth of energy from within. The more you accept about your losses, the more you are able to say ‘Thank you. Next’ to your current reality.

Astro Pro-tip: Jupiter travelled through your 8th house from late 2006-late 2007. What did you develop in collaborations with others? What did this process teach you? What did you heal around loss and grief, or learn about what your mental health requires? How is your current opportunity picking up on the themes from that time in your life?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

When the right love finds you, it feels like home. It expands your sense of what is possible. It heals the parts that felt unworthy of attention, affection, and acceptance. Love untangles the knots that self-rejection creates.

Love relaxes the system. It opens up to reciprocity. It allows the past to stay in the past. It welcomes in opportunities and allows us the ability to receive them.

Love comes in from every aspect of our lives when we let it.

As Jupiter spends the next 13 months exploring your 7th house of committed partnerships, it helps you to grow through the love, kindness, and generosity of others, and through your ability to give the same. Through the simple act of letting yourself be loved, in platonic or romantic unions, you will make quantum leaps in your life. The more you open to the gifts others are bringing to you, the more you can accept, acknowledge, and appreciate your own.

The opportunities that now come to you through your committed partnerships are growth enhancing to say the least. In order to make the most of this moment, you’ll need to know who to partner with, and who to let go of. Not every person is right for us in this moment. You may be outgrowing old relationship dynamics, making it necessary to let some people in your life partner with others more suitable for their situation. The more honest you can be about your needs right now, the more you’ll be able to find the people that want to expand, heal, and grow through the commitments right for you both.

Astro Pro-tip: Jupiter travelled through your 7th house from late 2006-late 2007. What did you develop in and through your committed partnerships during that time (business or personal)? Who came into your life that taught you something that is still with you? How are your current relationships, and the opportunities that they are bringing you, speaking to the themes from that time in your life?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

Growing pains are more pronounced when we become overly attached to any one idea of success. It’s hard to fit a new opportunity into an already overcrowded reality. It’s complicated to make room for something new if there are too many old, and ill-fitting, tasks to keep up with.

Your current growth needs you to grow with it, and let go of what won’t let you.

As Jupiter spends the next 13 months in your 6th house of work-projects, work-life, and health issues, it asks you to grow your awareness of the impact of your efforts. It’s offensive to our talent when we take it for granted. Over the course of this transit you will come to appreciate, in great quantities, the possibilities for the projects you are working diligently on.

In order to make the most of this transit, ask yourself how you tend to limit what you work is capable of? Ask yourself how you might tend  to get in the way of your own success? What do you need to learn to celebrate, have fun with, and feel more joy doing in your work life and in regards to your responsibilities?

During this time, you’ll need to be able to hand off tasks that take up too much of your time. At work, everything is important to attend to, but not everything needs to or can be done by you. Make sure that you have the best team, support, and situation possible for yourself and your projects. There is so much prosperity that wants to travel through your professional projects that it’s imperative you give them the best possible circumstances.

Astro Pro-tip: Jupiter travelled through your 6th house from late 2006-late 2007. What did you grow in your work life around that time? What health issues were you able to heal? What did you begin to develop or pursue in your work that resonates in some way with this moment? How are your current work projects reflecting the themes from that time in your life?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

Creativity thrives on our ability to follow its lead. Its little movements. Its grand overtures. Its edits, and revisions. Its swells and swoons.

The creative process is a completely mysterious one. It is to be enjoyed, but never rushed. It is to be listened to, but never harshly judged. It is to be worked with, but never manipulated.

Creativity is something that flows more freely when we relax into its rhythm.

Over the course of the next 13 months, Jupiter will teach you many things about having faith in your creative process. It will teach you how to drop your shoulder, soften your solar plexus, and allow your intuition to guide you.

As Jupiter spends the last part of 2018 and almost all of 2019 traveling through your 5th house of creative energy, creative projects, children, and romantic partnerships, it will enthusiastically invite you to explore the possibilities of this place in your chart and life. Expanding these areas is more effective when you enjoy the process.

Jupiter gets wild when given the chance. Let it show you a good time. Let it remove the false notion that you have to suffer for your art. Let it show you that your joy and your beauty is as worthy a part of you to express as is your anger and anguish.

Notice who shows up in your life that helps you to heal through the sheer ease of being with them. Notice who brings you pleasure without the pain. Notice who loves you unconditionally and helps you do the same.

Astro Pro-Tip: Jupiter travelled through your 5th house from late 2006-late 2007. What creative projects, talents or skills did you develop during that time? What role did children or youth play in your life then? What did you learn about yourself through romantic partnerships? How are your current romantic relationships and creative projects speaking to the themes from that time in your life?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

As Jupiter travels through your 4th house, it reminds you that the more you ground, the more you are able to grow. Something urgently awaits your attention in your private life. Good things want to come to you when you find time to shut out the outside world, even if only for a moment. Make sure that you have enough room to do so. Clear unnecessary clutter from your past. Give the corners of your life more light. Give the rooms you call home more reason to receive the company you wish to keep. Give your internal life as much respect as your external life.

Prop yourself up from the base.

Some growth also occurs in your family life. Either you gain an extra member or two, or you gain good ground in regards to the healing work you engage with. Whatever issues historically come up between you and your parents or family members wants to be resolved to some degree. With greater ease than usual, you are granted the gift of understanding what may have been unacceptable about your past.

You might not dissolve all the issues that have left a bad taste in your mouth, but you may feel absolved of having to solve a situation that has no solution. Do what you can to lay down the burdens that are not yours to heal. Over the course of this transit, you will be granted the ability to give yourself more space to be. More space to take up. More space to relax and recharge your batteries. Feel no way about reclaiming your ‘me time’ because it’s the way to make best use of this time.

Astro Pro-tip: Jupiter travelled through your 4th house from late 2006-late 2007. What grew in your home and family life during that time? What were you able to heal in your family? How is your current home and family life going through a similar healing or expansion?

I’ve got a reading, ritual and meditation for your sign for Jupiter in Sagittarius in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Libra & Libra Rising

As Jupiter begins its journey through your 3rd house, it gradually enhances the scope of your reach. As your daily life and activities increase, your messages become more widely spread. And in demand. Your writing projects get promotions. Your teaching..

Your full moon horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around, we really appreciate it and you!

October 24th

9:45 AM PT – Full Moon at 1° Taurus

Venus in Scorpio sextile Saturn in Capricorn, both at 4°

The surface of our lives must crack if a deeper truth is ever going to come forth.

This process is often perceived as a devastating shock to our ego. It’s common to feel humiliated when our misunderstandings are exposed. It’s common to experience a path to liberation as loss at first. It often feels like death when we let go of a false sense of self.

Welcome to Scorpio Season.

With the sun, Mercury, Venus retrograde, and Jupiter all in Scorpio, we are reminded that the process of metamorphosis is not for the faint of heart. We need the cover of darkness to make it through the most intense shifts. We need to know depth intimately before we can know joy explicitly. We need contrast if we want to experience appreciation.

But not everyone appreciates the paradoxes that life relentlessly doles out.

The full moon in Taurus arrives on October 24th at 9:45 AM PT. Occurring in the 1st degree of the sign, this full moon is an appropriately intense start to Scorpio Season.

Generally speaking a full moon in Taurus is a luscious, lazy, lingering invitation to appreciate the sensual subtleties of the physical world. Taurus provides stability, consistency, and reliability. It reconnects us with our animal instincts.

Food. Rest. Rooting around for treats and temptations.

However, this full moon has another texture to it. Conjunct Uranus, it highlights the impact that the planet of breakthroughs has had on us since May, when it first arrived there.

Uranus in Taurus asks us to reinvent our relationships to the resources at our disposal. It asks us to break ground, rethink what security means to us, and get curious about what we might be able to produce if we innovated our systems of production.

Or our reasons for doing so.

Take a look back to what you were just beginning to change, shift, or awaken to back in May. What have the last 6 months taught you? What have you given up and what have you done with the space created?

Trine Saturn, this full moon is able to impact our lives in a lasting way. What we learn to reinvent now can be put to good, steady use in our lives.

The ruler of the full moon is Venus. Still retrograde in Scorpio, Venus is making a sweet and affirming sextile to Saturn. This bit of stabilization is useful because the next move Venus makes is an opposition to Uranus. The tension between the houses that hold Scorpio and Taurus in our charts is momentarily unrelenting. The tension will fade as the weeks roll out, but what we do with it makes an incredible impact on the way they do.

October 26th

Sun conjunct Venus in Scorpio at 3°

This is the heart of Venus’s retrograde journey. Purified by the sun’s light, Venus is reborn within the dark and dangerous caverns of the underworld. She’ll still need to show us the way back up to the land of the living, but her reunification with herself has taken place and this helps us do so too. Look for the insights and highlights of this Venus retrograde for you thus far by noticing what you’ve come to appreciate, understand, and hold space for in your relationships, and in regards to your relationship with beauty, pleasure, and the power of aesthetic appreciation this month.

October 27th

Sun in Scorpio sextile Saturn in Capricorn, both at 4°

The next few days are the sweetest that we have between the full moon and the next new moon. As the sun makes a sextile with Saturn, we are given an opportunity to harness the power of our drive within the containers that can take it to the next level.

Work with what functions most efficiently.

October 29th

Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Scorpio, both at 27°

Here, a moment of hope, expansion, and perspective happens upon us. Jupiter always helps Mercury widen the lens through which it views the world. Maybe a little too much sometimes, but this is a day that takes the depth of Scorpio and the breath of Jupiter and spreads the most important messages far and wide.

Speak about your wildest dreams to those that know how to take the etherial and make it material, then follow the instructions that pique your interest and excite you into action.

October 30th

Mercury enters Sagittarius

Mercury in Sagittarius gets sloppy with the details, loves to think bigger than what’s humanly possible, and is always down to learn. Mercury will end up spending an incredible amount of time in Sagittarius as it will station retrograde on November 15th at 13° of the mutable fire sign.

October 31st

Samhain, The Witches’ New Year

Venus in Scorpio oppose Uranus in Taurus at 0°

Venus Retrograde re-enters Libra

Like any witch worth their salt, Venus knows the power of the truth. Right before she changes signs, Venus makes the same opposition that the sun did at the full moon.

Uranus is currently transiting Taurus, one of the signs Venus rules. As Venus opposes Uranus it embodies this energy, doubling down on the power of change in the area of your chart that contains Taurus.

Shortly after the dual between the Goddess of love and the Goddess of IDGAF, Venus slips back into Libra, the other sign of her rulership. Here Venus finishes up the retrograde with a little more dignity than she was granted at the beginning of the cycle. Hopefully this aspect of her journey will provide a little more sweetness, and a little less re-enactment of the trauma experienced in a world that values Venus so poorly.

November 5th

Sun in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces, both at 13°

A beautiful, imaginative, and dreamy mash up, today’s astrology helps us integrate something with ease. It fills the atmosphere with inspiration and helps us find our way to a little more creative freedom if we feel our way towards it.

November 6th

Uranus re-enters Aries

Back by popular demand, Uranus has one last piece of business to attend to in Aries. Having left in May of 2018, Uranus has spent the last 6 months in Taurus, shaking the most solid of structures in our lives. Back in Aries, Uranus leans into the personal revolutions, and radical individualism it developed between 2011-2018.

Uranus encourages change; in Aries, this is personal. But change without insight, consideration, and introspection is just chaotic movement. With this last go around, we are being asked to consider what we need to shift on a personal level, and what we need to reinvent our relationship to on a collective level. How might we use our individual freedom to help hold, heal, and create spaces that might be able to address the pain that we carry collectively?

Uranus will travel from 29°-28° of Aries over the next 5 months. If you have any planets or points at 28°-29° of Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn this is the last pass Uranus will make to them. Uranus will conjunct planets or points at 28°-29° of Aries, square planets at 28°-29° of Cancer or Capricorn, and oppose planets or points at 28°-29° of Libra.

If you have anything at these sensitive points, what you can expect over the next 5 moths is a conclusion, wrap up, or closure in regards to events associated with these planets or points in your chart.

Uranus will officially leave Aries on March 6, 2019, not to return again for another 84 years.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

October’s full moon highlights the changes, shifts and revolutions occurring in your relationship to your money, resources, and work. If you feel unsure of how exactly to manifest your talents at this time, embrace the uncertainty with relentless curiosity. Being in the unknown is a profoundly creative place, but you have to learn how to be ok with space.

And mystery.

Let the breakthroughs that happen in this area of your life break your defenses down. Let the changes in the nature of your work or financial life change the ways in which you think of your value add. What power are you giving away? What power can you take back right here and now? What respect can you show the energy that you put into all you do?

Let the material rewards your receive for your efforts land somewhere solid in your life.

As Mercury conjuncts Jupiter on October 29th, you get an insight, opportunity, or gift through another. Make it a point to actively invest in the collaborations that help you stay open, available, and willing.

With Venus opposing Uranus and retrograding back into Libra on the Witches’ New Year, you get to refresh your understanding of the most entrenched relationship patterns that you possess. Unearthing them might feel uncomfortable at first, but remind yourself that the sensation helps you understand the depth and breadth of the issue.

You are coming into a new dynamic, a new relationship with yourself. Let the excitement about what that might bring you, teach you, and reveal to you bubble up within you.

Come the end of the lunar cycle, Uranus retrogrades back into Aries. Here until March 2019, the Goddess of IDGAF graces you with one last audience with her. Over the next five months you’ll be asked to finish your degree in personal freedom. Give yourself the space and time needed to understand the gifts this wants to bring to you.

More so than most times, the next five months will remind you that nothing is permanent. No suffering or situation stays the same, but everything you learn along the way will be with you forever.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

What you have learned to defend has most likely helped you survive, but there is some part of you that now wants to know what it is to thrive.

October’s full moon is giving you the green light. It illuminates the changes that are taking place for you personally. It permeates the cracks occurring along the surface of your life, encouraging you to let your own light shine through.

Spend some time meditating on the places where you have become too rigid to grow. Too stiff to soften to love. Too tempted to shut down when you need to try and find a way through. Encourage your curiosity to liberate itself from the lockers of fear it has been held in.

Apply this kind of open-mindedness to your partnerships.

Come the end of the month an important conversation takes place between you and a collaborator, partner, or love. There is an opportunity here for you to expand your definition of what it is you do together. Abundance flows towards your unions, but not in any predictable manner.

The containers that you create with others need to be built spaciously, and with one another’s freedom in mind. Stay curious about your potential together. Stay with how your relationships need to breathe. Stay curious as to what is possible through partnership.

Come the Witches’ New Year you’ll need to refine your schedule. Leave space to enjoy more. Explore your creative impulses and take note of what they hint at. Some work projects might be delayed or put through a process of review right now, but trust the process. If the rhythm is different than what you expected, know that something you can’t conceive of is working its way to you or through you.

Before the next lunar cycle takes place, Uranus leaves your sign not to return until the spring of 2019. Retreating back into the recesses of your 12th house, Uranus will reveal more truths that have been hidden from view. Take it slow. This psychic clearing is a once in a lifetime event and its impact lasts as long.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

October’s full moon highlights the shifts, changes and unexpected awakenings that have been occurring within the back room of your psyche for the past 6 months.

Since last May you have been cosmically encouraged to give yourself the time and space needed to unpack and process parts of your life that you’ve had to hide.

Until now.

This process has most likely made clear that you can’t expect to both heal and keep the secrets that harm you. The full moon highlights the choice you’ve made and the results it has produced.

Whatever has been shaken lose over the past 6-months wasn’t made to last. The more you are able to accept, with great curiosity, the situation that you are in, the more prone you’ll be to pick up on the mystery and magic of the moment. As you give up harboring the shame that keeps you unwell, you’ll learn to love what it has taught you.

Come the end of the month, as Mercury conjuncts Jupiter, one of your work projects gets a pick-me-up. Good messages find you and help to lift your work to new heights and wide horizons. Keep the depth that makes it so special, even if it is at the expense of its reach.

As Venus opposes Uranus and retrogrades back into Libra on the Witches’ New Year, you pick up on the fact that your creations need an infusion of innovation. With Uranus also retrograding back into past territory come the first week of November, this infusion may come through the communities that you are currently working with. Whatever you are doing in groups needs to be revolutionary. If it’s not helping to spur people into action you won’t be that intrigued. Hang out with those that know how to interrupt injustice and stay curious about the innumerable ways in which equality can take shape.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

October’s full moon highlights the changes, shifts, and breakthroughs that you are experiencing in and through the groups you are associated with. Everything that comes up for you via the social settings you find yourself in is essential for your overall liberation.

What you need from the groups you are, and have been, a part of is changing. The dynamics you were previously able to ignore can no longer be swept under the rug. It’s OK to be the one who is more sensitive to the shifts occurring between you and others. It’s actually your role at the moment.

Currently, you are more likely to be the trouble-maker, trickster, and temptress of truth for those you are connected to. This revolutionary spirit can feel threatening to some, but incredibly exciting to the right crowd. Find those that are interested in manifesting a little more freedom for one another.

As Mercury conjuncts Jupiter come the month’s end, your creative projects get a boost through a fortunate situation, communication, or coincidence. The collision that comes brings with it an opening. Emphasize this by applying as much curiosity to the situation as you can. In what ways do your creative projects want to grow, and what expansion would just capsize them?

By the Witches’ New Year, Venus’s opposition to Uranus exaggerates this need to remain open to the shape your creativity wants to take. Follow it. Don’t force it. Free its intelligence and study under its instruction.

Also on the 31st, Venus retrogrades back into Libra and your home life, family life, and relationships to parental figures gets an important review. Whatever issues that first came up in August in this area of your life are back for some important healing. Stay open to the depth of the situation. The feelings might transport you back to places you don’t usually want to visit, but remember that every time that happens you have the opportunity to retrieve a part of yourself waiting for rescue.

The last days of this lunar cycle see Uranus returning to your 10th house of public roles, reputation and career. Here, the planet of breakthroughs will spend the next 5 months exaggerating the fact that the changes that are occurring in your professional life are undeniable. It’s exciting, possibly destabilizing, and definitely unpredictable. Start envisioning the areas of your public life that you are committed to getting freer in, less concerned with who likes you, and more concerned with what excites you.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

October’s full moon illuminates the professional changes, wild rides, and unexpected leaps of faith that you have been asked to make over the past 6 months. What have you risked? What (assumed) security have you given up? What space has this created for your creativity to take flight? Even the smallest flutter of its wings can change the trajectory of your situation.

Give yourself the chance to see what can be built when you follow the impulses of your curiosity. Give yourself a break by remembering that in moments of incredible reconstruction such as this, your best bet is to fall in love with the unknown while being relentlessly committed to doing what you know you need to.

As the month ends Mercury conjuncts Jupiter and you get some good news about your home and/or family life. Over the past year, Jupiter has been asking you to grow your ideas of what home and family could look. Give yourself permission to unfold, unpack, and unwind. Exhale without waiting. Let this moment, and whatever good it brings, help you find the internal expansion you are craving.

As Venus opposes Uranus on the Witches’ New Year what gets awakened is a need to move, shift your surroundings, or reinvent your relationship with home. You might not be around the roost much, but when you are home it’s important that you feel you are reflected in your space.

And Venus retrogrades back into Libra and Uranus retrogrades back into Aries, the short-term/long-term plans in your life get put back on the top of your list. It is quite possible that over the next few months, the rearranging of your schedule will be epic, but ultimately worth it.

Keep an open mind about the opportunities that have a way of appearing out of thin air.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

October’s full moon highlights the twists and turns that your journey has taken over the past 6 months. Where you are is most likely not where you thought you’d be, but the main question is, are you enjoying it?  Does this particular path suit your current needs? Can you grow here?

This lunation might bring with it a choice about your path forward. If there is a leap of faith presenting itself, remember that you can choose to take it or sit it out. No one but you can decide your direction, but you can get help by getting curious about what your life is telling you.

As Mercury conjuncts Jupiter on October 29th you are given a message that helps you understand in greater detail your options. The way forward reveals itself by being the option that feels the most expansive, intriguing, and liberating. Come the Witches’ New Year, when Venus opposes Uranus, you’ll be itching for some new or different way to do your day. These little earthquakes can lead to major fault lines though. Pay attention to the cracks and the ways in which you might prevent something falling apart that could just as easily stay together.

Clear and concise communication is key.

As Venus retrogrades back into Libra, and Uranus retrogrades back into Aries, the two create a dynamic need for balance between what you have and what you owe. How you honor your gifts and how you honor working with others is in need of an overhaul. The equation has to be fair, but also appropriate for this moment. Not every opportunity is the right place for your talents. Knowing when to stay and when to leave is key. Be thoughtful about what you need to work hard at and what you need to let someone else do.

Now 50% off: I’ve got a reading, ritual, and guided meditation for your sign for the full moon in Taurus and Venus retrograde in this month’s lunar workshop.

Venus Retrograde: October 5th – November 16th from 10° Scorpio to 25° of Libra

To the ancients each planet was seen as a goddess or god. Unlike the other lights in the sky, the planets moved of their own accord against the backdrop of the fixed stars, signaling to us times of prosperity, retrieval, strife, and victory.

Venus’s retrograde pattern captivated the imaginations of the ancients. The Sumerians saw the bright star as the Goddess Inanna, protectress of sex-workers, goddess of love, erotic energy, and the Queen of Heaven and Earth.

During her retrograde cycle, she goes from bright evening star to invisible to bright morning star. Slowly disappearing from view as she retrogrades back into a conjunction with the sun, Venus was thought to be in the underworld during her time of invisibility. As she stations direct, she reappears as a bright morning star, triumphantly returning to the heavens. Venus/Inanna’s visual transformations were made into a great descent myth that mirrors our own psychological process of death, rebirth, and transformation.

Venus is currently in Scorpio, one of the signs she has the greatest difficulty in. Here, Venus is more attuned to the wounds, betrayals, and historic assault of the feminine. Those that identify as women, femme, or express any amount of feminine energy, know the patriarchy’s twisted obsession, hatred, and fear of Venus.

Of us.

The results of damage done by patriarchal violence is amplified during this planet’s shift.

This once-every-18-month retrograde cycle teaches us much about our limits, our heart-ache, and the process of purging unhealthy relationship patterns from our systems. As Venus deepens into the retrograde she will reveal the massive shifts that all our relationships are undergoing.

In Scorpio, Venus is in exact opposition to one of her home signs, Taurus. Taurus builds stable structures. Loves consistency. Never lets go. In her opposite sign, Venus in Scorpio hungers after the transformative processes that bring the truth. Deaths and rebirths are a necessary part of the life cycle of any organism.

Not all relationships are meant to last. Venus retrogrades make this known.

Over the course of the next 40 days and nights we will come to understand in greater depth our desires, needs, and necessities when relating and creating our life and partnerships as they need to be now.

October 8th

8:47 PM PT – New Moon at 15° Libra

Like diamonds buried deep within, a just world is built through the pressure of injustice crumbling. The systems of harm that have ruled this world for too long are failing. The force of this process will ultimately lead to our transformation if we can stay with it.

Today’s new moon in Libra is square Pluto, and aspect that the sun will stay in until October 11th. The new moon asks us to take our grief and turn it into action. It asks us how we might get on the right side of the human story each and every day. It reminds us that every single act of justice adds up when we make it a constant and considerate practice.

October 9th

Mercury enters Scorpio, there until October 30th

As Mercury cozies up to the now retrograde Goddess, Venus and Mercury get into some intense pillow talk. Here, Mercury deepens our communications. Uninterested in the run of the mill niceties, Mercury in Scorpio makes a bee-line for the truth.

Tomorrow makes sure of it.

October 10th

Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus, both at 1°

Venus in Scorpio squares Mars in Aquarius, both at 10°

Definitely one of the more difficult signatures of the lunar cycle, today’s astrology is unpredictable.

As Mercury makes its first steps into Taurus, it comes up against an abrupt opposition to Uranus in Taurus. Like a slap to the senses, this combo comes bringing news we previously knew nothing about. From left field, information comes flying at us. Remembering that in so many situations we need not respond right away can save us in these times. Know when you are within your rights to take a breath. Take a moment. Take a look at your options before you react to what is demanding you do.

Tearing into our more sensitive spots, on the same day, the square between Venus and Mars feels a little more vicious than is necessary. Astrologers of the past might have called this the ultimate fight between men and women, but we can look at it with more nuance and less of a gender binary than a “battle of the sexes”. We know that patriarchy is upheld by all genders. We know that white supremacy, colonization, and heteronormativity are intrinsically woven into the fabric of its functionality. We know that as we deconstruct one aspect of this system, we must do so to all the others.

On a personal level, Venus and Mars in battle feels unfair in some of our more personal connections. Venus comes looking for togetherness, Mars for separation. Feelings get hurt or already are. Try as we might to avoid it, in astrology like this we can cause a wound to reopen. We’ll have to revisit the scenario later for any possible make-ups or confirmations of break-ups.

October 11th

Sun in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn, both at 18°

This aspect has been building since the new moon on October 8th, and peaks today. It gives the entire week a tension, intensity, and depth that refuses to look away from what is normally swept under the rug. We might find ourselves enmeshed in incredibly difficult circumstances, unable to get out without a thorough investigation of our part in the process or without getting dirty as a result of going through such a deep dig into our subconscious.

October 12th

Mercury in Scorpio sextiles Saturn in Capricorn, both at 3°

From October 10th (when Mercury opposed Uranus) to the 22nd, Mercury is on overdrive. Contacting a bevy of planets with vastly different agendas, the themes of these days will shift quickly, offering a multitude of messages ranging from incredibly affirming, to caustic, to transformational.  Today’s transit puts us in good celestial company. As Mercury moves from a supportive sextile to Saturn, to a conjunction with Venus, we get the messages we need to succeed. Here, Mercury confirms what is working, helps us make solid plans, and finds ways to tip us off about the things we need to commit to.

October 15th

Mercury conjuncts Venus at 8° of Scorpio

Working with Venus retrograde, Mercury receives the messages that Venus may have held secret until now. Tuning into her journey, Mercury is both blessed by Venus and able to translate some of the heartache she is bringing up for us to heal. These transits remind us of the power of loving sentiments when shared. Tell your people you love them and then back it up with action.

October 19th

Mercury in Scorpio trines Neptune in Pisces, both at 14°

Mercury in Scorpio squares Mars in Aquarius, both at 14°

Today is full of mixed messages. As Mercury gets inspired and uplifted by the creative cocktails that Neptune pours freely, it also gets some fighting words delivered via Mars. Messages can get muddled in these kinds of cross hairs. Make sure not to stoke the fires that can burn down the buildings you have built a home within. There may be a fight you need to have, but practicing harm reduction is key in these celestial set-ups.

October 22nd

Mercury in Scorpio sextiles Pluto in Capricorn, both at 18°

Today allows for an integration of all that Mercury has been moving through. The conversations, messages, and sentiments that have been shared over the last 10 days come to an important processing point. Our power is always in our ability to hold space for what is happening so that it has a chance to reveal the wisdom that resides in it.

October 23rd

Sun enters Scorpio and opposes Uranus in Taurus, both at 0°

Welcome to Scorpio Season! With tomorrow’s full moon highlighting today’s opposition to the planet of upheaval, change, and breakthroughs (Uranus), this is no time to sleep on the situations at hand. Scorpio teaches us how to honor death as a life coach. This season starts off abruptly, chaotically, and without mincing words or feelings but it will, undoubtedly, bring about the shifts and changes that will free up space in radical, unpredictable, and ultimately revolutionary ways.

Your horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

This, and every Venus retrograde, will always pull into focus your heart and finances. That’s because Venus rules your 2nd house of the work you do to support yourself and the money, resources and assets you have as a result, as well as your 7th house of committed partnerships.

With this specific Venus retrograde you are being asked to go through a therapeutic process in regards to these areas of your life. What isn’t working for you in love or work life? What about this moment is similar to what you went through 8 years ago financially? What about it is similar to what you went through in regards to committed partnerships or the lack of them? What are you taking personally instead of taking as an indication of what to heal, bring to consciousness, and bring into therapeutic spaces?

You are being asked to do a deep investigation into the heart of the issues that are a thorn in your side. If it hurts, it needs your attention. If it is personal and persists, try not to resist it. Try not to feel self-pity about it. Try to find ways to clarify what the issue is, what it isn’t, and what you can do to support yourself through it.

These themes will be weaving their way in and out of your days from now until the end of the year. The sooner you tend to them, the deeper the transformation you will go through with them.

The new moon in Libra picks up on these themes. It wants to help you transform an intimacy issue that has become pressing and pertinent to your development. What love do you block out of resentment for what you don’t have? Which exchanges bring up your insecurities, self-doubts, or deep fears of failing at what matters most to you? How can you use the moments that cut deep into your pain as entry points into your healing and, ultimately, your growth? Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

As Venus, Goddess of love and connection, stations retrograde, the underbelly of your relationship dynamics start to reveal themselves. Your ruling planet governs your direction and your work life. As she switches up her style, so too will you. How you are connecting to others gets reviewed. Reworked. Reconsidered for impact. What you want out of partnerships deepens. Transforms. Takes you into new dimensions with your partners if they can handle the journey.

There is nothing about what you need from a partnership that is unattainable if you are willing to match it with the same kind of effort, care, and consistency. Use the beginning of Venus’s retrograde to be unabashedly committed to getting clear on what you need.

Make absolutely no apologies for the love you desire.

The new moon in Libra sets its sights on your work projects, relationships and health matters. What are you wanting to begin here? What rage needs to be channeled here? What aspect of your work life are you working to actively transform? Given the current state of affairs, what does your body need to release, set down for a moment, or get a chance to do? Ponder these questions and leave room for the answers to find you. Manifesting what we most want means that we listen to what wants to be born through us as much as we proclaim our future for ourselves.

As the new moon grows across the landscape of the next couple of weeks, keep opening up to the changes that are befalling you. The transformations that you are going through are deep and slow, but there are moments of astoundingly clear revelations that lead to quantum leaps and bounds for your growth.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

As Venus gets her retrograde on, she highlights the importance of your professional partnerships. Issues personal in nature that arise in your work-life are incredibly important to address right now. Venus will spend all of October and the first few days of November in this area of your chart. The goddess asks you how you feel about your work projects, what needs to change there, and what has the potential to impact the field you are dedicating your time and talent to. What you need right now is connection to currents of personal and professional liberation. If what you are doing right now doesn’t feel revolutionary in some way, it will most likely make you unreasonably restless.

As a rule, Venus is always and forever in charge of your 5th house of creative energy, projects, and progeny as well as your 12th house of hidden life, unconscious habits and ways in which you might self-sabotage. Every Venus retrograde will carry these themes with it, but this Venus retrograde in particular wants to know how you might be processing, healing, and sorting through these issues within your work life. What personal changes have you been undergoing in your private life that are helping you to get a better understanding of what your creative energy is capable of? Which of your work projects is helping you heal something that you haven’t been able to consciously hold in previous years?

October’s new moon picks up on these themes and asks you to invest some time developing the creative projects that help you transform your grief, rage, and fear into works of art that reflect your power, potency, and potential. Imbue your creative projects with these intentions and visualize them helping others do the same. Done for the sake of itself, every creative act is a study in transformation.

Please join me for A Workshop for the New Moon in Libra, Venus Retrograde, and the Astrology of the Lunar Cycle from October 8th – November 6th. In it you’ll receive readings and rituals specific to your sign, plus guided meditations, altar suggestions, and auspicious times to work with.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

As Venus finds its retrograde way through your chart, you are asked to let the creative projects you are working on transform you. The act of making something is an incredibly personal one. Intimate. Sometimes intimidating. Always revealing your current relationship to yourself. To be engaged in the act of creating is to lay yourself bare and to share that vulnerability with the world.

Venus retrograde asks you how you may have been holding out up until now. What guises are you letting go of? Which vices do you no longer need to depend on? What are you able to be more honest about and how does it shift the nature of what you are bringing into form.

In Scorpio, and retrograde, Venus has very little to lose. Here, she teaches us the power of ceasing to care about the crumbs others throw us for being good at their game.

As a rule, Venus is always in charge of your your 4th house of home, parents, family, and foundation, and your 11th house of friends, hopes, and collective visions for the future. Each time Venus is retrograde, these themes will be a part of your goddess-given curriculum. Notice the issues that have and will continue to come up for you in regards to the family you didn’t get to choose and the ones that you do. The nature of your friendships are changing, as are the roles you play with parents, housemates and your home space.

October’s new moon picks up on the agenda that Venus has put forth, asking you to work on the healing that needs to occur within your family and home life. Which parts of your past are you able to now put into perspective and perhaps even able to fuel you forward? Which resentments have you historically held towards family members? How are you learning to re-invest that energy to instead build yourself up from the base? With this new moon, visualize yourself rooting deeper and deeper into your self so that day by day you feel connected to an anchor that nothing can disconnect you from.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

Because Venus always rules your 3rd house of communications, siblings, good friends, and daily rituals, and your 10th house of career and public roles, every Venus retrograde will comment on these issues. As this current Venus retrograde makes its way through Scorpio, it deepens your relationship to your home, family, and foundational issues. At this time you are more likely able to see what lies beneath your everyday experience. Deeply rooted issues rise to the surface. The roots of your pain are exposed, but remember this only happens when you are ready to receive such information.

If your pain trusts you enough to reveal itself to you, be curious about its arrival. Show it some love, attention and respect. Welcome in the historically relevant issues that are working their way to consciousness. Find out how they need to be held. Hang back on judging them before you understand them. Ask how you might be able to better facilitate their release.

October’s new moon in Libra makes clear that your weeks are best used as containers for your personal transformation. Give yourself access to what helps you digest the worldly issues that tend to clog and drain the system. You need it, in order to change what doesn’t work in your life and the world, too much to sacrifice it to every ailment that comes across your news feed.

The new moon might bring about important conversations, messages, and insights into the nature of what you need to deal with now and going forward. Beginning new projects with the intention that they help you live with more honesty, intention, and dedication to your truth will set you up for a powerful transformation over the next 6 months. With this new moon envision yourself bravely engaging in difficult situations. See yourself coming to your days with great clarity, sense of purpose, and connection to infinite sources of inspiration.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

As Venus settles into its retrograde, you settle into the lessons and healing opportunities that it provides. What you say, how you say it, and how others receive it feels extra weighty at the moment.

Part of what this means is that you need spaces where you are encouraged to talk about your desires. What means the most to you stays on the tip of your tongue. Swallowing such sentiments only leads to indigestion. You need to know what it feels like to communicate these truths. As you do, more of your life energy is released. More of your journey becomes clear. More ways to financially support yourself opens up to you.

More often than not, others will want to invest in you when you know what you want and you aren’t afraid to communicate it.

As a general rule, Venus is in charge of your 2nd house of finances, assets, and livelihood, as well as your 9th house of long-term plans, far off journeys, education, and spiritual experiences. Each time we go through a Venus retrograde it will always comment, if not get you to inspect thoroughly, these areas of your life.

This Venus retrograde in particular is getting you to understand the connection between your ability to infuse your days with all that you are passionate about and your long-term satisfaction and financial well-being.

October’s new moon picks up on the theme of your work life and resources, and asks you to make some money magic. This new moon marks the beginning of something in this area of your life, but the beginning is intertwined with a transformation and review. Something about the nature of what you do for a living is in need of an overhaul, either in regards to your relationship to the work itself, or the relationships that surround it. Take note of how you are able to verbally work through conflict, intensity, or stress. You are in the process of developing a new way of doing the work that you do. Some things will have to be let go of, some just processed and repurposed. Envision yourself..

Your horoscopes are meant to be read as inspiration for the full moon and the two weeks following it. If you know both your rising sign and sun sign, please read both horoscopes. They both contain important information. You’ll know which resonates more for you from week to week. Take what works for you, leave the rest. If you want to share this work you must quote it and link it to this post and website. Thank you for your support and for spreading the work around. We really appreciate it and you!

September 24th

7.53 PM PT – Full Moon at 2° of Aries

For an in-depth breakdown of the full moon please read this post on it.

September 25th

Sun in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn, both at 2°

This is a reiteration of the challenges that were felt during the full moon. A little like a hangover that won’t quit, the sun’s square to Saturn doubles down on its promise to unveil the consequences of our actions.

This is the closing square between the sun and Saturn. Whatever peaked for us in late June at the time of the sun’s opposition to Saturn is now being asked to be refined. At the closing square we feel the need to strip everything down to its essential nature, its seed potential, its undeniable truth. Saturn always helps us make necessary definitive and defining decisions. Trust its process, just don’t get caught up in its relentless critique. These days are filled with deadlines and sentiments that can devalue our best efforts.

Be careful where you put that self-criticism.

It’s good to know when not to trust our doubts about our progress. This might be one of those times. Saturn is more likely than not to trick us into throwing out what is making perfectly good strides towards success. Stay patient and consistent. See your life from a greater perspective than just this little moment. Most likely, the challenges you face now will fade, but the ways in which you faced them will become hard-won pearls of wisdom that you can wear with great honor.

September 27th

Sun in Libra trine Mars in Aquarius, both at 4°

Today’s sun trine Mars helps to burn off some of the sludge that Tuesday’s sun square Saturn may have situated us in. Here the sun gets energized and is galvanized to take the actions necessary. Go forth with gusto and a good amount of courage in your convictions.

September 30th

Pluto stations direct at 18° Capricorn

After its long, yearly retrograde, Pluto shifts directions. The last of three planets to station direct in Capricorn since late August, Pluto takes the longest to pick up its pace. Sitting at 18° for a considerable amount of time, any planets or points in your chart close by will be feeling this major overhaul. The potency of the transformations made under Pluto’s influence are inarguable, long-lasting, and unmistakeable. Pluto speaks of power and how to work with it. It unearths every emotion we are afraid to own. It reveals all the psychological lead we must transform into gold. As it stations direct, some aspect of this is revealed and the astrology of October 2nd carries the message of Pluto’s station direct a little further.

October 2nd

Mercury in Libra square Pluto in Capricorn, both at 18°

Mercury, up against the lord of the underworld, is destined to get lost down some intense wormholes today. Taking us with it, Mercury wants to have cathartic conversations, offering us mind-bending realizations and communications that decimate any polite peace we were playing under. It’s up to us, of course, to decide when the time has come to do away with niceties or seek a little refuge for fear of destroying something a little too delicate.

Whether or not you use this astrology to work through a challenging conversation, just make sure you are doing so as consciously as possible. Any extra intensity added to this day can easily become  reality-show level of ridiculous.

I’ll be back on or before October 5th to talk about Venus’s next retrograde cycle that begins October 5th and ends November 16th.

Horoscope for Aries & Aries Rising

Remaining open to opportunity feels near impossible when life has been relentless with us, but be careful not to shut down the entire system just because you’ve run into a challenge.

You need to know you are on your own side.

Reclaim yourself from the isolation tanks of your ego each and every day. Your ego loves to trick you into thinking that you are in this alone. It loves to trick you into thinking that your problems are too unique to be understood by any another. It loves to trick you into thinking that being defended against life is your only option against being hurt by it.

Stay open to yourself.

September’s full moon articulates the challenging. Peaking in your sign, this full moon makes very clear the obstacles in your path and what it will take to get around them. Professionally, what you are up against is considerable, but it is incredibly important to become familiar with its intricacies. Knowing what you are dealing with is half the battle. Knowing your opponent allows you to choose your strategy with care. Knowing the scenario means that you can have a better understanding of where you are and why.

Like glitter from last week’s party, how you respond to the things that you are faced with now will tend to hover around you for a while. You don’t have to know what to do to solve the entire situation. You just have to show up and be willing to work it out as honestly as you can.

Now 50% Off: I have a reading and ritual for your sign for Monday’s full moon in Aries, as well as a guided meditation and altar suggestions in A Workshop for the New Moon in Virgo, Full moon in Aries, and the Astrology of the Lunar Cycle from September 9th to October 7th

Horoscope for Taurus & Taurus Rising

Like a cat cornered, we run the risk of becoming caustic when we let another’s idea of us control how we show up in the world. Those that wish you would tone it down, keep yourself in line, or be emotionally manicured will become increasingly disappointed with you.

That is on them.

Now is the time to forgive yourself for whatever it is you have had to deny yourself. Now is the time to give yourself the space to figure out what it is you need in order to feel more free. Now is the time to find within you the desire to choose yourself above all else.

As you do, you get to free yourself of being “good,” a little at a time. It is the gift that keeps on giving. Get some of it as quickly as you can.

September’s full moon shines a light on the backrooms of your psyche. The corners of your thoughts that you have yet to clear out get illuminated and you are given good information to sort through.   With the full moon, take a moment to let yourself have a full and complete exhale. Without waiting, give yourself permission to release what your body has been holding and rest from the exhaustion of doing so.

As the last days of September sort themselves out and the first week of October finds its form, you get a firm understanding of the professional duties that need your due diligence. You have a lot to balance at the moment so make sure that you aren’t overwhelming your work pile unnecessarily. Keep a little extra space open for your more important projects and make sure that you don’t sleep on your deadlines. The repercussions right now are a little too long-lasting to not take seriously.

Horoscope for Gemini & Gemini Rising

We need constant reminders of who we are and why we are here. We need constant affirmations that we each have the capacity to counter evil by being fierce and unwavering accomplices to equity. We need constant encouragement to keep growing ourselves despite the comfort of complacency, a comfort that all too often harbors the harmful systems that dehumanize, devalue, and diminish us.

We need to be in good company, consistently.

September’s full moon reminds you of this. It points out who is around you and why their presence is so important for you. It highlights the challenges in certain relationships and why their lessons are so internal to your current growth. It reiterates the fact that your needs in relationship won’t stay the same.

You have grown, and your relationships need to be able to grow with you.

Whatever lessons this full moon brings up for you in regards to your relationships with others, it balances it with the obligations that you have to your creative projects and their current development. If community is taking too much of a toll on your energetic reserves, your creations may suffer. Come the last few days of this month and the first few of next, you’ll need every ounce of time and patience to work through the obstacles your projects (or the children in your life) are up against. This calls on you to become extra protective of your time, and encourages you to be extra thoughtful about your efforts.

There may not be enough space to get done what you need to in the way that you want to. Try to come at the issues that surface with an open mind and a willingness to accept the situation for what it is and what you can do within it.

Horoscope for Cancer & Cancer Rising

The deadlines you are up against are undeniable. The consequences considerate. The commitments concrete. While little may feel fair or balanced at the moment, your approach to it all needs to be. The moment that you let others dictate what you can and cannot do is the moment that you may have lost some small or large part of your way.

Keep your power, let go of your need to please.

To do so you will have to be unequivocally OK with the outcome, even it it means letting go of a situation. You’ll have to be unequivocally honest about what you need. You’ll have to be unequivocally on your own side.

Turn your autonomy onto auto pilot.

From the end of September to the beginning of October the tension of your to-do list can be overwhelming. Try not to lose sight of the fact that you are the boss of your responses. You are the ruler of your roost. You are the CEO of your self-care.

The full Harvest moon marks a time of serious decisions for your career. It helps you to reap what you have professionally sown, asking you if you are working to create what you truly want to manifest or if you are working to create something you think will win you love, admiration, or appreciation.

Your relationship dynamics (both business and personal) get sorted through for their potentials and problems. The contracts that you’ve made with others need to be adhered to, adjusted to reflect your reality right now, and carried with a commitment to honor their contents.

Your family and home life also adheres to these cosmic tides. A parent, family member or housemate might need a little extra care, help, or consideration from you right now. Weigh your wants with your responsibilities and make sure you aren’t missing out on an opportunity to be there for someone in need.

Horoscope for Leo & Leo Rising

It’s not that the journey isn’t worth the effort, it’s just that at this moment, the exact nature of the effort involved is revealed.

September’s full moon finds the flaws, fears, or obstacles in your plans. Under this kind of lunar light it is good to remember that the full moon magnifies what is difficult, not that what is difficult isn’t still very much doable.

Learning how best to work through the fears that come up while on our path, is the destination. September’s full moon asks you what your struggle is helping you to become more aware of. Instead of taking it personally, feeling bad about what is difficult for you, or being discouraged about what you don’t yet know how to do, seek to understand the ways in which this moment is helping you get to a core issue.

Sometimes we need strong encouragement (read: no other choice) to do the thing that is the most challenging to do.

As the end of September and beginning of October unfold, the problems that you are able to address will set the stage for future efficiency. What structural support can you provide yourself? What psychological support can you connect to? What daily practices connect you to solution-based strategies? Put your energy there and you’ll find that any current concerns become entry ways into incredibly insightful investigations.

Horoscope for Virgo & Virgo Rising

September’s full moon finds you weighing what stock you were able to bring in over the past couple of seasons and what is currently leaving your storehouses.

Balance is key.

The end of September and beginning of October keep pressing you about the nature of your work, what it currently needs, and the necessary redefining it is undergoing. As you encounter obstacles here you are also given the encouragement needed to work through them. What truth do you find you keep coming back to? What do you most desire to do at the moment with what you have been given? What are you tempted to try but feeling shy about beginning?

Your professional dreams need your conviction. Your supervision. Your commitment. Be their guardian, cheerleader, and co-conspirator. No matter how challenging the task, refuse to let up on your belief in the projects that depend on you alone. Often with astrology like this what gets revealed is what does and doesn’t work. Take the parts of your projects that are built without structural wisdom and rework them. Take the parts of your projects that are solid and keep adding to them. Editing is a part of any successful project. Don’t be discouraged if you have to cut out more than you were willing to; just be dedicated to keeping what will work no matter the weather and for a long time to come.

Horoscope for Libra & Libra Rising

Some only know how to take. Maybe they haven’t been taught manners. Maybe they haven’t been humbled into gratitude. Maybe they have had to develop a defense against feeling that is so strong, that they don’t know how to hold what you give them with appreciation.

Learn who these people are in your life. Be conscious about what you expect from them. Be wary of wanting what they cannot give.

Some know how to receive us and our efforts. They were born with and were able to keep some part of their heart open. Some memory of abundance still lives within them, and with that, the ability to recognize when it is coming towards them.

Learn who these people are in your life. Be conscious of the fears that come up when you are in the presence of someone who appreciates you. Be a witness to the ways in which you respond to difficulties that come up with others that you love and trust. Be open to learning another level of honesty with those that can consciously work through the more challenging issues. September’s full harvest moon unpacks in great detail what kinds of containers are needed in order for intimacy to occur.

As you enter Libra season you are being asked to take a look around to see what you no longer need to feed. Any and all resources that you can re-absorb will be put to incredibly good use so keep what you don’t have to give. The end of September and beginning of October press you for your best efforts, ask for incredible patience, and require unrelenting dedication. Giving it all you’ve got means not wasting what you don’t have on who or what should be getting it for themselves.

Horoscope for Scorpio & Scorpio Rising

September’s full moon wants you to reap the professional benefits of all you have poured your heart and soul into these past few seasons. The fields that you have tilled and toiled over are providing life-sustaining substance for the months to come, though they may not be as easily harvested as you’d like.

What you do in the difficult times matters. You might not be able to solve every problem, work out every difficulty, or find every solution to your situation right now, but the way you carry the load that you have been given has a lasting impact.

This moment is supposed to feel a little like a tight squeeze. Don’t mistake a slow flow for an all out drought. Cultivate patience, persistence, and a trust in what leaves.

This is a time to cut away the parts that are taking too much from the whole.

As the end of September and the beginning of October unfold, give yourself permission to retreat from any unnecessary noise. There is a deep and private energetic reboot going on within you. Time and space is necessary to do the required releasing. Scorpio is home to Venus’s next retrograde. Preparing for that long, and incredibly deep, journey is a wise and much needed strategy.

Horoscope for Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising

Creations come at a cost. September’s full moon asks you to make hard choices on behalf of yours. Nourishing what needs it means that at some point you’ve got to take resources away from what impedes its growth. Saying no doesn’t make you a bad person. Every one of your dreams fulfilled requires you to be a patient and persistent protector of them.

You are currently learning the importance of putting your integrity above your need to be liked. You can try all you like to contort yourself into shapes that please the masses, but you’ll only end up spending your life’s precious energy doing so. Instead, focus on accomplishing what you came here to do.

As the end of September plays out, and the beginning of October takes shape, what you learn is that even when others don’t love what you do in the moment, when you do it with great respect, thoughtfulness, and consideration, it works out in the end. We all have hard choices to make. We all impact one another’s lives. We all need to make a call to serve something in the best ways we know how. Be thorough in your investigation of your reasons for doing what you are doing, and then be unwavering in your ability to back your decisions up with every bit of confidence you can.

Horoscope for Capricorn & Capricorn Rising

September’s full moon keeps you at home for a moment. Whatever needs your attention there, give it. The full moon grounds you. Gets you to dig into your needs. Gives you a reason to rest as it resists swift motion for the moment.
