Sayulita is one of my favourite spots~It is so full of colour & energy and life, making it so much fun to visit.
I drove from Puerto Vallarta with Paige, Laurie & Aleisha (it only takes about an hour from PV, so I definitely recommend it if you are staying in PV, it is a great day trip) to Sayulita, stopping along the way to pick up some delicious pineapples at one of the many fruit stands between the cities.
There is so much to see & do in Sayulita - It is quite small, so you can definitely walk around the entire town in a day, but here are a few of my favourite spots to visit
Revolucion Del Sueno - This is a beautiful shop with bursting with pom pom pillows, bags & rugs, along with stationary, sunglasses, jewelry, and even a few clothes. Also gifts for the little ones! It is a must visit
Hotel Hafa- I am sure you've seen it - The cute hotel with the hearts? This is Hotel Hafa, and they have a beautiful patio too!
Evoke the Spirit - This shop is in the prettiest square in Sayulita, all which are worth a visit - But this one is jaw dropping, with hand crafted skulls, macrame & blankets, it is a bit pricey, but oh so pretty! They also offer macrame workshops which would be great if you are staying in the town.
El Espresso-Best breakfast spot! Right in the heart of Sayulita, offering huge cups of coffee and delicious breakfast (amazing fruit bowl and super yummy smoothies)
Waikika Heladeria - The ice cream is super yummy, but for me, it is all about their popsicles! Made with fresh fruit, they are not to be missed.
Buonissimo - Italian Gelato in Mexico? Perfect after a day on the beach.
Tacos on the Street - If you venture across the bridge, make sure to visit this taco spot! They offer fresh cucumbers to start, and their hand made corn tortilla's are to die for. The chicken quesadilla was my absolute favourite!
Street Sticks - You can choose from grilled Mahi Mahi, Chicken or Vegetables on a stick, and honestly it is the best thing I ate during my visit! Vendors walk around the town with the sticks in hand, keep your eyes peeled, they are divine.
El Itacte - You may not always find a seat here because it is so popular...but worth a wait! Best fish tacos with no fuss, no muss, just delicious food...my kinda spot.
Celebrated festival season #Avioning with my RBC Visa Infinite Avion Card. With this card I receive 1 RBC point for every dollar I spend, and I earn even more points on all travel related purchases like my flights, cabs and hotel- Getting rewarded to travel, yes please!
With my Avion card there’s no blackout periods or flight restrictions - so I can use my points to travel whenever, wherever and on the airline of my choice- a great perk if you’re not a fan of having to settle for unnecessary stopovers (especially when you’re not travelling far).
I had so much fun in the desert this season, and picked up some great festival tips that I wanted to share~
1. Book your hotel early! The best ones book up quickly for festival season in Palm Springs, so make sure to book as soon as possible to get the spot you have your eye on. Tip: with an Avion card you can also use your points to redeem for hotel – great perk to help save on travel costs!
2. Book your hotel in the downtown Palm Springs area - That is in the middle of most of the events, and it has a ton of restaurants and shops close by, so you will always be able to find great bites and be able to take breaks at your hotel if you need to escape the crowds or heat for a while.
3. Give yourself extra time to get everywhere - The traffic is busy and it takes much longer than you would think to get around. You can create an Uber account with your RBC Visa Infinite Avion Card & be able to go anywhere. Plus, you’ll earn extra points on your Uber purchases!
4. There is very poor phone service at the festival, so make sure to have a meeting point with your friends in case you get separated.
5. It is really dusty everywhere, so make sure to pack a bandana to tie around your face to avoid eating mouthfuls of dust!
6. Wear close toe shoes, it is dirty in there!
7. Bring a jacket or sweater, it gets cool at night in the desert
8. Have fun!

When I travel, I only bring a carry on bag, so finding the right accessories is such a big deal to me! I have long been a Soludos fan, from their espadrilles to their sneakers (I live in these ones) and when they introduced their platform sandals, I was obsessed! They are perfect for everyday & for travel because they pair with absolutely anything ~ From dresses to pants to jeans to shorts, they are perfect.
I also love that Soludos makes bags, and they have the cutest collection of leather & woven bags, perfect for that next sunny destination getaway.
Shiny, rich locks thanks so Revlon Professional's Colour Sublime, the new ammonia free permanent hair colour line that has unique fragrances to choose from to make your experience that much more enjoyable.
I chose Zen Moment fragrance with hints of lemon, tangerine & lemon when I got my hair done because it is so relaxing and reminds me of the serene beaches and mountains of my hometown, Vancouver.
There are three fragrances to choose from, so you can experience your very own journey while getting your hair coloured!

I absolutely love Mexico ~ It is one of my favourite countries to visit. The people, the food, the weather, it is all so wonderful!
I visited Puerto Vallarta when I was younger, but hadn't really explored the town itself. This trip was amazing because I had the chance to really spend time in the town and visit some of the shops & eateries - It is now one of my favourite cities!!
You can definitely get lost in the beautiful streets - There is so much to see and do, I definitely recommend giving yourself a lot of time (two days if possible, even!) to just wander around the town - Some of my favourite restaurants (I am a huge taco fan, so these are mostly all taco places) were
Tacos Robles -These are beef tacos in a deep fried hard shell - I don't usually like hard shell tacos, but seriously, these are insane - Address- Constitucion Emialano Zapata (open Mon-Sat 7-3pm, but they often run out by 3pm so get there early!)
Ceasar's Coconut Stand - Gotta have the fresh coconut water! You can also bring your coconut back when you are done the water & they will cut it up for you to eat. Address-Aquiles Serdan #255
Gaby's- They have the best Mole around! They also have a huge tequila selection. This is a sit down restaurant, so great if you want to have a little break and not eat at a stand. It is also where I took the stairs shot, so a pretty staircase too! A little trick they taught me~Exhale when you finish drinking tequila, it makes it not burn! Address -Mina #252 Centro
Vallarta Factory - Super delicious Mexican Chocolate & Coffee. Need I say more?! Address Liberated #100 Centro
Mariscos El Guero - Delicious, Fresh Ceviche Tacos ~ Also a sit down restaurant. Address - Madero #291
I am always on the go, and when I am doing photo shoots or heading from the beach to dinner, it is always so nice to be able to fix my makeup & hair wherever I am! simplehuman just released the best travel sized mirror, the Sensor Mirror Compact ~ It is the best!
The simplehuman Sensor Mirror Compact offers 5x - 3x magnification, and their tru light system lets you see your makeup in true light, and most simulates sunlight so your makeup will look great the moment you step out the door. The light is rechargeable and you can plug it in anywhere- Also such a great feature when traveling!

I love Hawaii so much - No matter what Island I visit, I always leave so excited to go back. The people, the energy, the nature~ It is just the best!
Maui is such a special place~ I always love exploring, and of course I always need to spend time soaking up the Hawaiian sunshine on the beach, it is the happiest place.
I have been using Jergens in some form or another since I can remember ~ My current favourite is the Vitamin E Cream for daily use -It is the perfect lotion to keep my skin feeling hydrated & happy!
I of course always love to have a bit of glow on my skin, so when they released the Jergens Natural Glow, I was so excited! It is so amazing ~ You put it evenly on your skin after you turn off the water in your shower, then leave it on - No need to wipe off or wait for it to dry! You can towel off right away and it won't come off on your towel or clothes. It makes getting a natural glow so super easy.
I used the Jergens Natural Glow leading up to my trip with Jergens to Maui, and it gave me the perfect glow to look as though I had always lived in Hawaii on the day I arrived!
We had such an amazing time staying at the Four Seasons Maui, adventuring around the island with the Jergens Glow Girl Gang, it was the trip of a lifetime!
