Are you over 50 and have you often wondered what you can do to prevent heart disease and stroke?

I have and for an affordable price, Life Line Screenings helps to detect and prevent heart disease and strokes.

A few weeks ago they approached me to do this sponsored post since most of my readers are over 50. I wanted my readers to know about this invaluable heart disease and stroke prevention service. I travel a lot! Because I am always traveling this would be a fast and efficient way to get the testing I need to stay healthy.

I feel strongly that this test can save lives as you will read in the testimonial below.

What Is the Lifeline Screening Test?

Life Line Screening’s program is based on the simple idea that preventive health screenings can help people live healthier lives.

Personally, I know too many folks who are going to their primary care physician but still have not had these life-saving heart disease and stroke prevention tests.

Usually, because their insurance will not cover the cost of ultrasounds until it is too late.

As a result, the internal signs of a health issue are missed even though most of the time the test results come back with no issues.

Preventive screening can identify hidden stroke risk factors like blockages in the carotid arteries as well as atrial fibrillation (an irregular heart rhythm), and high blood pressure.

Screenings can also look for blockages in the small arteries of the legs and feet (Peripheral Arterial Disease) and related conditions like Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and high cholesterol and elevated glucose.

What Is an Ultrasound Screening?

The screenings look “inside” your body using painless, safe ultrasound to visualize blockages that you can’t see or feel in the early stages, as well as other techniques like finger-stick blood tests.

Finding these hidden risk factors could help you and your doctor take steps to help you avoid a stroke or other serious cardiovascular event altogether.

Life Line’s Screenings focus is on providing information about a person’s health that they might not have known. In addition, it is doing it in a way that makes it easy to share with their doctors.

Once their doctors have their screening report, the physician can work with the patient to determine the next steps as well as put preventive strategies in place.

Great Idea. I’ll Just Ask My Doctor For Them

You would think you could get these screenings through your regular doctor and insurance.

Unfortunately, this is not the case.

While you may get some common blood tests, most insurance does not cover ultrasound tests for those people who are healthy.

Even if they have risk factors such as a strong family history of stroke or cardiovascular disease the tests can be difficult to come by.

While the screenings might seem like a no-brainer, often, the only way to get them is to have a stroke or other serious event. This can be too late, as 80% to 85% of strokes come out of the blue, with no warning mini-stroke beforehand.

** We want to prevent you from having heart disease or stroke.

Next Steps to Prevent Heart Disease or Stroke

You should still ask your doctor first. If you do have any symptoms, he or she may be able to order the tests for you under your insurance.

Without those symptoms, companies such as Life Line Screening offer the tests as a self-pay service.

For those who are not sick, not symptomatic but have risk factors you can get the test. You do not need a doctor referral to make an appointment.

What Happens at a Health Screening?

Click this link to get Life Line Screening offers a package of five screenings for only $149. Common risk factors include age 50 or older, a family history of stroke or other cardiovascular diseases, smoking, diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure) and high cholesterol.

These prevention screenings are held in easily accessible community facilities like churches, town halls, libraries and synagogues.

What Tests Are Included in My Health Screening?

Life Line Screening’s package includes five core screenings that you can order today.

  • Ultrasound of the carotid arteries looking for fatty plaque blockages that can build up and block blood flow to the brain.
  • Ultrasound of the abdominal aorta to look for an aneurysm, a ballooning or stretching of the aorta, the largest artery in the body.
  • A check for Atrial Fibrillation (Afib), the most common type of heart rhythm problem. This is also a stroke risk factor. When the heart doesn’t beat properly, blood can pool in the heart. Eventually, these clots are pumped out, where they can travel to the brain and cause a stroke.
  • Peripheral Arterial Disease Screening, which is a check for blockages in the small arteries of the ankles and feet. Blockages here are a warning sign for blockages in other arteries, including the arteries of the heart.***
  • A test for Osteoporosis Risk. This involves and ultrasound of the shinbone (tibia).

Life Line Screening also offers finger-stick blood tests for cholesterol, glucose, a1c, c-Reactive Protein, Thyroid function and more.

Carotid Doppler ultrasound test evaluation of arteries performed on female patient Health Screening Results

The good news! Most of the time, people who have the screenings done have normal results. They get peace of mind as a result, but sometimes, the screenings find a serious problem.

Rosanne Burke writes about her father’s experience with the screening and what it meant to her.

“My father passed away at the amazing age of 95. He was still living in his own home, was alert and enjoying his family. He had his screening when he was in his later ‘70’s or maybe early ‘80s and had surgery. I’m sure his Life Line Screening probably saved his life…and added many more years with his family.”*

Schedule your test today and get the peace of mind you need with this special pricing. You can click here to get more information!

This is a must-have top 10 packing hacks for grandparents! The grandkids are a little older and you have decided to take them on their first trip! The parents have sent over a garage full of stuff for you to bring, but is it all necessary? This top 10 packing list will help you to stay organized and have what you need for your trip without sounding off the weight alarms at the check-in counter!

Equipment

Strollers – Strollers are a great tool for when littles get too tired to walk. Especially if you are going to an amusement park. But do not opt for the big fancy stroller. They take up a lot of space, they are bulky and HEAVY! We love the umbrella stroller with a basket. Lightweight and easy to breakdown, they are a must-have whenever you are traveling with anyone who would still ask to be carried.

Backpacks – Every packing list has to have a backpack. A backpack is a great tool over a purse when you are traveling. You can keep your wallet, money keys and phones secure and have room for snacks, toys or even a change of clothes in case there is an accident. In addition, the kids can bring their own backpack to keep their travel toy and snacks organized!

Supplies – Packing Hacks

Zip Lock Bags – Speaking of accidents, it is great to have these just in case or you need to store a wet bathing suit. I also bring smaller ones for leftover food from a restaurant that we can keep for a snack later. The best part is they do not take up a lot of real estate in your backpack!

Diapers and Supplies – Most parents will, with good intentions send over a whole weeks worth. But you really can not realistically fit all of that into your car or luggage. It is much better to buy them on the road or after you arrive. If you are traveling by car just bring one pack and buy them as you need. If you are flying then bring 1-2 days worth. Another great packing hack is to order them on Amazon and have them shipped to your hotel!

Layering clothes – When you are traveling to a colder or warmer climate, weather-related clothes can take up a ton of room. So we suggest layering clothes. Some people travel for a week with just a carry-on by layering to get on the plane. Bring clothes that mix and match and can be layered easily for cooler weather.

Bathing Suits – I always recommend they bring two. We are into everything with water, beach, pool, or lake. If there is water we are in it! I like to have a dry suit on occasions and they do not take up any room in your suitcase. If you are in the pool at your resort the night before and then drive to a waterfall that you can swim the next morning, I would prefer to drive to the waterfall in a dry suit!

Snacks – I made the worst mistake the other day when flying to NY. I did not bring any healthy snacks and my flight was delayed for several hours. Whether you are flying or driving just bring one day’s worth of snacks. You can buy more at a grocery store when you arrive.

Hair – For longer trips, you can buy supplies when you get there, otherwise we bring mini bottles and leave the soap at home. Also, most hotels provide hair dryers. I leave that at home now, too. If you are traveling with teen girls this can be tricky but I would try to accommodate everyone by using one person’s straightener or curling iron and leave the rest at home!

Entertainment – Packing Hacks

Travel Toys – New toys are exciting for kids. Packing a new toy or two is a reliable trick that travel-savvy families use to make long travel days easier. Magnetic PlayBooks are all the rage in mom circles.

Electronics – If they have them you may want to let them bring it. I am of the camp that I got to just look out the window on vacation and have my thoughts. Personally, I want my grandkids to unplug when they are with me. So we have a hard rule. No phones or electronics when we eat or when we are on an activity, period. They are not even allowed in their pocket when we are at the table. With that being said, it is just a part of their culture. You can have them with rules and boundaries. Set up the rules early and stick to them if you are like me.

Are you ready to travel with the grandkids? Here are your top 5 bucket list spots with grandkids!

Why a Top 5 Bucket List?

I am new to being a grandparent. My daughter married a man with children from a previous marriage so I was instantly made a grandmother with two beautiful grands, Kyla, age 18 and Zechariah, age 5. A year and a half after the wedding, my daughter gave birth to Ezra! For now, Ezra will stay home. But I plan on having fun with the big kids and living out this top 5 bucket list!

I love being a grandmother, and I am always thinking of cool bucket list travel spots to take the grandkids! You get to see them experience new things and places that their parents just do not have the time because of work restraints, younger children, and tighter budgets.

Camping in Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park

June is definitely the best month to go! This is when all of the animals are out and about. There are cabins or you can rent an RV once you are out there and camp that way. If you are up to it physically, tent camping is an option as well.

Whichever way you go you will want to stay in the park if at all possible and move locations so you can experience more of the park. Yellowstone National Park is definitely a trip of a lifetime and kids love all there is to do and see there!

Disney World and a Disney Cruise Top 5 Bucket List Travel Spots with Grandkids

Going to Disney is great, but add a Disney Cruise to the mix and now you have a bucket list trip! Experience twice the fun by taking the cruise then heading to a Disney park! Disney’s first class level accommodations and service will wow you and the grandkids! My personal favorite is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! They offer lots to do in the parks! Then you can head over to Port Canaveral for your high seas adventure on Disney’s Cruise line!

New York City Top 5 Bucket List Travel Spots with Grandkids

If you love Broadway, the Freedom Towers, Empire State Building and oodles of museums, then New York City is the trip for you! Maybe you love baseball and want to take them to a Yankee’s game. Don’t forget a trip in the winter to see the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade and Rockefeller Center! Whatever your flavor the big city will most likely have it!

Traveling their Ancestry Top 5 Bucket List Travel Spots with Grandkids

My Grandfather did this with me and although I did not appreciate it at the time, now I realize it was a wonderful trip. He took me to Europe to visit where our ancestry originated. I would recommend this trip for teenagers though as it is a big trip for younger kids that will struggle with long flights and bouncing around hotels.

My grandparents were the ones to tell us about their ancestry! Not my parents. The stories get lost as the generations continue. Why not take them to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, where ever your family originated from, to experience their homeland.

You could do research about your family history or even a DNA test to get you started and go to the towns where your family resided in the past. My grandfather had our family tree done so he knew we were from Tipperary in Ireland, among other places!

Head Out To A Dude Ranch! Top 5 Bucket List Travel Spots with Grandkids

I think my grandkids would enjoy this trip the most! Dude Ranches have become real family friendly over the years with activities for everyone! Some ranches even have children’s programs with counselors and riding is optional!

Some activities include petting zoos, mountain biking, river rafting, swimming pools, card games, hay rides, western dancing, campfires, cookouts, tennis, volleyball, basketball, softball, fishing and hiking!

You can find a dude ranch right here!

This is a sponsored post with Hilton Grand Vacations about Plantation Beach Club. All opinions are 100% my own. If you are thinking about a trip to the East Coast of Florida and the pristine beaches of the Treasure Coast is on your bucket list then look no further than Plantation Beach Club.

Whether you are a baby boomer couple or traveling with the family, Plantation Beach Club offers the amenities of a resort and hotel but the space and intimacy of a home. Plantation Beach Club is offering 1 and 2 bedroom condominiums in a peaceful oceanfront setting.

Sunrise at Plantation Beach Club, Hilton Grand Vacations The Accommodations

Plantation Beach Club is a Hilton Grand Vacations Resort located in the larger resort area of Indian River Plantation, a 200-acre resort located in the heart of Martin County on Hutchinson Island.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom condominium. All of the units have an ocean view, full kitchen amenities, with en suite bedrooms. This resort is affording you some of the best views of the most beautiful beaches on the Treasure Coast.

Lobby Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club Stuart, FL

As you enter the property you immediately feel as if you have come into something special. There is a theme of dark woods, rattan and a tropical motif with pineapples. This reflects the property’s origins as a pineapple plantation years ago. Imagine you are immersing yourself in a tropical paradise as you arrive onto the property.

Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club Master Suite

Immediately as you enter you will find a master suite with a full bathroom and jetted tub.

Living Room Plantation Beach Club Hilton Grand Vacations

The living area is spacious with additional sleeping accommodations. The windows slide open to allow for a full ocean view and breezes. There is a screened in porch as well with a table and lounge chairs.

Plantation Beach Club Kitchen Hilton Grand Vacations

The kitchen had everything you needed from a coffee station to a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster, disposal, and stove.

Second Bedroom Plantation Beach Club Hilton Grand Vacations

In this particular unit, the second bedroom is located downstairs and has its own bathroom. There is also a laundry area with a washer and dryer.

The Beaches of Plantation Beach Club

Photos can not even really do it justice. We have lived on the Treasure Coast for almost 40 years and my husband is a native. I had never been to this area of Hutchinson Island to experience their beaches. We did not know what we were missing!

Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club

Needless to say, I was impressed. Less than 40 miles away we had a completely different experience here. There is a sandbar running parallel to this property that creates, what Floridians call, a bathtub beach.

This is not the famous Bathtub Reef Beach just a couple of miles up the road from the resort but it still creates the same result. A gully of clear, crystal blue water perfect for swimming and snorkeling. You can tell the bathtub area in between the waves.

Plantation Beach Club Daily Bird Dive - YouTube
Plantation Beach Club Daily Bird Dive

No matter what plans we had during the day we made sure we were back on the beach by 2 PM every day. The wildlife here is amazing. There were birds diving for fish usually starting around 3 PM every day. We would also have a huge hawk fly over us and pick up his dinner right in front of us! He eluded my camera. Maybe next time!

The Amenities
Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club pool on the night of the Blue Moon!

On the property itself there is a large pool with a hot tub and grilling area. Every room over looks the pool or you can hang out and enjoy the moonlight or sunrise here.

Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club

Every Wednesday, you will find Mandy hosting a wine and cheese party for the guests! Mandy and the other employees are like a family and have been hosting many of these folks for years. It is an opportunity for the guests to mingle, reconnect or get to know one another.

Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club

In addition, Hilton Grand Vacations includes the other amenities located on the larger Indian River Plantation Resort. These include a golf club, gym, tennis courts and a competition level pool. There are is also a restaurant and tiki bar area for lunch.

Plantation Beach Club Amenities. Hilton Grand Vacations Plantation Beach Club Gym

The course is an 18-hole executive style golf course that spans from the river to the ocean. In fact, it is so close to the ocean you can hear it’s crashing waves and feel the sea breeze as you play.

This is a sponsored post with Verizon. All opinions are 100% my own. Last week we were able to attend our first Baby Boomer Smartphone Workshop at the Verizon Store in Palm Beach Gardens. The reason why this is so important? Because my husband just got his first smartphone towards the end of last year. This was a great way for him to get some needed info about mobile apps that are more geared to his Baby Boomer lifestyle!

What we learned is there are some great mobile apps that many of us are unaware of. There were many people there at the workshop over the age of 55 who wanted to know more about Verizon’s 55+ Program and how their smartphones work!

Jimmy Buffet is in the real estate business!? Last year I heard from my best friend who is also over 50 and she said, “You will never believe it but Jimmy Buffet is building new 55+ developments for Baby Boomers and there is one right in Daytona!” We had to go check out Latitude Margaritaville, in Daytona Beach, Florida!

Daytona Beach Location

Daytona is less than 2 hours from us so we hopped in the car to see what all of the excitement was about. Latitude Margaritaville, one of his newest Baby Boomer, 55 plus communities is close to I-95 for interstate access. Exit on LPGA Boulevard, it is one of the main thoroughfares in Daytona, and the Latitude Margaritaville is just west of the interstate. Construction started in 2017 so there is an opportunity for resales at this point or you can build your dream home with Minto Construction.

Entrance to Latitude Margaritaville Daytona

We pull up to the Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Sales Center and immediately see there is a bus to take people to the 55 plus community to view the models. We hop on and we drive through the gates to get to the model home area.

Bus transportation to view the models at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona Paradise Bus

Once being dropped off you will find a tiki bar with an attendant who hands out water to prospective Baby Boomer buyers. She explains where to go to view the model 55 plus homes at Latitude Margaritaville.

Latitude Margaritaville Welcome Area Model Homes Model Map

At the time of our visit, there were 15-floor plans. This allows Baby Boomer residents to choose a home model that best suits their needs and lifestyle. The Caribbean Collection includes six-floor plans for attached villas. For detached single-family homes, the Beach Collection features five-floor plans and the Island Collection features four-floor plans. Currently, interested Baby Boomer homebuyers can check out nine model homes at the Model Court with a couple of homes in each category.

We head down the sidewalk and walk into our first model home. Well appointed with high ceilings I could totally see myself living there. This is not your typical 55 plus community in Florida.

Model Home Court Latitude Margaritaville Daytona

The nice thing about Latitude Margaritaville Daytona is that you are able to purchase a two bedroom villa as well as a larger home with more bedrooms. This way if you are looking for a smaller second home this is a great option or if you know you will have guests frequently you can opt for more bedrooms.

Model Court Latitude Margaritaville

Home prices range from $200-$400k and of course, the model homes have every option available to view so you can see what the features look like. The community itself has also been recognized and is the winner of 17 National Association of Home Builders awards including Best 55+ Community of the Year and Best 55+ Builder of the Year.

Once we tour the homes we head back to the welcome area and grab some much-needed water.

The plans for amenities are impressive at The Town Square! From the Latitude Bar and Chill restaurant, a fitness center, and theater to Barkaritaville Pet Spa! We all know how much Baby Boomers love their pets!

Latitudes Margaritaville Town Center

There are also plans for tennis, bocce ball, and pickleball courts and a walking trail. This is going to be Boomer outdoor living at its finest!

Town Center Model Latitude Margaritaville Daytona

You will, of course, be able to add a pool to your home, visit Paradise Pool, the community pool with its own sandy beach, or visit the Latitude Margaritaville beach club that the community owns for the residents to have access to. There will be a continuous shuttle to take the residents over.

Latitude Margaritaville Beach Club model. Sales Center Sales Center

The sales center was huge with a design area and a museum-like room with lots of info on Daytona Beach and Latitudes Margaritaville. Of course, it was loaded with a lot of cool Jimmy Buffet paraphernalia!

Sales and Design Center

The Design Center is where you will choose your flooring, colors, appliances and other appointments for your new Minto home. Your new home will feature a low maintenance lifestyle and green features most 55+ community home buyers are looking for. These green features will ensure a lower cost of living here at Latitudes Margaritaville Daytona.

Design Center Sales Center Latitude Margaritaville

Minto states they are building homes with the finest “Green” technologies. Latitude Margaritaville homes are energy efficient so you will lower energy costs as well.

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! Sales Center Latitudes Margaritaville

There are no high-pressure sales tactics here. We were able to look around and helped by one of the salespeople when we were ready to ask questions. And in case anyone is wondering, Jimmy does own a home here!

Development Plan for Latitudes Margaritaville

We were shown the models for the Town Center and the community and he answered any questions we had and explained the time frames, HOA costs at the time and expected build times. These are prices that change so I would recommend visiting them to view the models and get up to date information.

Daytona Beach Local beaches near Daytona

I think Baby Boomers who love Jimmy Buffet and the Florida lifestyle will love the Latitudes Margaritaville lifestyle. This is a self-contained Baby Boomer 55+ community that will have the amenities most of us are looking for as we enter into the next chapter of life.

I did ask the salesperson why they chose Daytona Beach as a place to build a Latitude Margaritaville 55+ community. He stated, there are more events in the Daytona Beach area than any other area in comparison, that are geared towards Baby Boomers and the over 50 crowd.

If you love the beach, NASCAR, Bike Week among other large events, and all things Florida then Latitudes Margaritaville, Daytona may just be the place for you!

This is a #sponsored post. All opinions are 100% my own. As you know, we love the time we spend on Boone Lake. This year I have made a commitment to get out and see the sights in Northeast Tennessee. I wanted to start with Johnson City which is one of the three cities that makes up the Tri-City regional area of Northeast Tennessee. It is also the closest city to where we are on Boone Lake. We plan to be here more often and there are so many things Johnson City has to offer so I wanted to make sure to find out everything about the downtown area.

I reached out to the Johnson City Convention & Visitors Bureau to get the inside scoop on this great area. It is rich with history and has fun outdoor activities for all ages. Jenna Moore, the Director of Sales for the Johnson City Visitors Bureau, offered to show us everything about Downtown Johnson City! Thank you, Jenna!

History of Johnson City

Before we get started, I want to do a BRIEF history of Johnson City because it will tie into some of the sights we saw downtown. There were some famous settlers in the area dating back to the mid-1700s.

The town was actually founded in 1856 by Henry Johnson as a railroad station called Johnson’s Depot. It became a major railroad hub with three major railways that crossed in Johnson City’s downtown area.

Recently, Johnson City was ranked #65 for “Best Small Place for Business and Careers” in the US by Forbes and #5 “The 10 Least-Expensive Cities For Living in the U.S.A.”  by Kiplinger’s.

Climate and Geography

Being located in the heart of the Appalachians, Johnson City offers a diverse area of mountains, valleys, lakes and rivers. This makes it an outdoor recreational mecca! The temperatures in this area rarely exceed 90 degrees in the summer and it only snows a few times a year during the winter so you can play outside here 10 months out of the year.

With its mild winters, low property taxes and a reasonable cost of living it is becoming widely known as a great place to retire and live. You can find plenty to do all year long, which also makes it a great place to visit!

Touring Downtown Tannery Knobs
Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park

The cool thing about Johnson City is that they have so much to offer right in the downtown area. One of the newer attractions to the area is Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park. Mountain biking is a newer trend in Johnson City and one that is quickly catching on.

Don’t think this is just for young guys looking to shred the trails. Is that the right expression? Shred might be a surfer term! Regardless, there are trails for beginners and advanced riders.

Tannery Knobs Mountain Bike Park

The trails are professionally designed and built with all riders and abilities in mind. The park can be used for hiking as well which makes it accessible for the entire community. Situated looking over downtown Johnson City, the trail will take you around in a full circle back to the beginning.

Tweetsie Trail
Tweetsie Trail Entrance, Johnson City, Tennessee

The Tweetsie Trail runs from Johnson City to Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton. It is 9.5 miles in length and it is the longest rails to trails project in Tennessee. We walked about a mile of the trail and although it was not crowded there were plenty of people enjoying the trail on this cool spring morning.

Mile Marker Tweetsie Trail

There is a lot of history on this trail as it is originally a train track that ran from Johnson City to Cranberry, North Carolina. It was formerly the ET&WNC train system. The trail now takes you to the downtown areas of Johnson City to Elizabethton where you can grab coffee or lunch after using the trail.

It is a gorgeous trail for walking, running or biking in downtown Johnson City. Pets are also welcome on the trail and it is wheelchair accessible due to its flat grade. The trail is made from crushed stone and has plenty of shaded areas and an interesting landscape.

BoomTown & Company is a clothing shop that is focused on an urban mountain feel with a local and state focus. You can find hats, shirts and accessories in the shop. On their website, it states, “expressing local focus with state love”.

All of the clothes there are of high quality and have a local or state theme. They have the shop in downtown Johnson City as well as a kiosk in the Johnson City Mall. They are pet-friendly in the downtown shop location.

Willow Tree Coffeehouse and Music Room

As we continued to walk around the downtown area I saw a lot of eclectic spots that deserve a mention. Downtown Johnson City is heavy on the arts and music scene. Pets are generally permitted in most spaces including indoor shops and outside restaurant areas. Willow Tree has open mic nights, a great menu and an art gallery. It is a super cool space just to hang out and read or connect your laptop.

As we continued to walk around the downtown area we saw lots of cool art and shops. No one seemed to mind that we had Bo and welcomed us into their shops. Here are some photos of random pictures I took as we walked around.

According to legend, Johnson City was nicknamed Little Chicago in the 1920s, during its bootlegging years. Rumor has it that this was the halfway point from Chicago to Florida and Al Capone used to stop here on his way to Florida and possibly even ran his business through Johnson City.

I absolutely fell in love with Reclaimed Inspired Goods. I am creative but whoever designed this store really has talent!

My words can not really do it justice but if you are looking to retire here or want to get some cool items for wherever you live, you will be able to find unique items to ship home. These are the people to hire to help decorate your home if you move here.

Here are some photos to enjoy the cool decorative home items and ideas they have to offer. Reclaimed Inspired Goods is also pet-friendly!
