The pelvic floor supports our organ and during pregnancy is put under a lot of stress. it is critical to learn and be aware on how to access pelvic floor muscles, how to strengthen them and relax them and how to engage them. You can do Kegels exercise daily but it is difficult to say if you are actually doing them right and effectively.
In France, every woman does pelvic floor rehabilitation in the postpartum period to strengthen and rehab these muscles after the excessive weight they had to carry and the trauma of birth.It is part of the postpartum care and there is no tabou around this subject.
At Body Belly Baby we educate about pelvic floor, we help new moms strengthen their pelvic floor, we train every woman and explain how important it is to maintain a healthy pelvic floor and that incontinence is not only a condition affecting older women but… affecting more than half of the women after birth.
