I have complied all of the items that I have had for probably over a year now that are currently on sale at #NSALE! If you don’t know about NSALE, it is Nordstroms biggest yearly sale where a ton of their items get discounted, and if you are a card holder, or spend A LOT of money with Nordstrom throughout the year, you will get access to these items before the public does. It is a great time to shop for your holiday items or just to treat yourself and your loved ones on some amazing deals! Here are the items that I love from Nordstrom that are currently on sale:
My sister recently graduated from high school this month, so my mom and I decided to use an electronic invitation to circulate the news of my sister graduating high school and attending The University of Miami in the fall! I looked no further than Paperless Post for our invitations. Why? Because they create some of the most elegant and chic electronic invitations! And I have to say, our invitations turned out so pretty! Paperless Post makes it so easy and quick to use their site, which is why I have used them now multiple times for invitations!
For my sisters invite, I wanted to take you through the step by step process of how I created my sisters invitations!
Step 1: Before anything else, you should create a profile with Paperless Post. Once you do that, you can head to the main page where you can select which occasion you need your invite for. I selected the “Graduation” option, as we are planning my sisters high school graduation!
Step 2: Once you select your occasion, you will have to option to pick from so many different types of electronic cards, colors, card shapes, photo options, etc. I actually decided on the first option I saw because we only wanted one photo and we loved the gold foil detailing.
Step 3: Customize your invite! Start uploading photos and information about the party that your guests need to know about.
Step 4: Upload your photos, change your text, pick your background, change the card design, and design your perfect invitation! As you can see, we went with a rose gold and gold theme for my sisters graduation party. I changed the background, increased the font a little bit, and uploaded the photo that my sister liked best of herself!
Step 5: Edit the “envelope” for the invite and add a stamp! We went with this beautiful rose gold glitter envelope, and we absolutely love it. It definitely added some glam to the invite that we were looking for! Also, we had to go with the graduation hat for the stamp.
And this is what the envelope will look like with your guest’s name on it!
Step 6: Fill out all the details about your party: the title of the party, where it will be located, the time, do you want to show your guest list, and any other notes you have for your guests that they may need to know!
Step 7: Purchase your invites with “Coins”. That is how you purchase your invites via Paperless Post. Here is your chart for coins:
Step 8: Upload all the email addresses that you want to send your invites to. I used their template, which is like an excel sheets, and was able to add everyone to the sheet, and upload it to Paperless Post for an easier uploading process.
Step 9: You are now done! Send your invites!! What I love about Paperless Post is that once you send out your invites, it will show you who the invites have been “Sent” to, who has “Opened” the invites and who is “Attending” or “Regrets” to attend. They make it really easy for you to manage your guest list, and you can even write messages to your guests as well. Also, I plan on sending a “reminder” to my guests who haven’t accepted the invite a week before the party to get my final head count!
I really hope you enjoyed my step by step process of how I created my sisters graduation party invites using Paperless Post!
I cannot even tell you all how hot it is getting here in South Florida. It is ridiculously hot, humid, and rainy. If anyone tells you the summer time is a good time to be in South Florida, they are lying. But enough of my rant, I am here to tell you about this great summer cover-up dress by O’Neill! I love that it is great for the pool and the beach, but it also would look great to walk to brunch or lunch after you spend the day in the sun!
This O’Neill Rowan Cover-Up dress is the perfect summer cover up. It is breathable, it is fashionable, and it comes in two colors (and both are beautiful)! I am wearing a size Large for sizing reference. It also has these beautiful pompom detailing on the edges.
While the slits on the sides are pretty high, I think that is what makes this cover-up so pretty and breathable. Since it is so hot out here in South Florida, I think the slits make it better to keep cooler in the hot sun! This cover-up is only $54, and will have you beach ready in no time.
Sometimes you find a piece and realize you don’t know how you lived without it. Well this black one piece bathing suit is one of those pieces. This piece is by Aerie, and it is their Unlined UnderWise One Piece Swimsuit. It is also currently 50% off and only $27.47! Yes, isn’t that an amazing price. And believe me, you will all love this suit.
What I love about this black one piece is that it has the underwire. So for the ladies who need a bit more support, this is the perfect suit for you. And even for me, not having much on top, I love the look of the underwire. I think it gives a great shape to the suit and makes it look less plain.
Also, it comes with this navy belt that is more of a style element than anything else. It adds a bit more detail to this simple black suit, which I really love. So if you are in the market for a great one piece, I definitely recommend this suit because it is under $30, it is classic and it is definitely great quality.
Last night, my husband and I had the best date night at STK South Beach. STK is one of those restaurants that we go to for special occasions, and I had only been one time before. So when we were offered to go and try out the Chef’s Menu, there was no hesitation! I was beyond excited to test out the Chef’s spring menu and try some of the delicious food this steakhouse has to offer! After all, their tagline is “Not your daddy’s steakhouse.” And boy are they right!
The First Course
We started our meal with the most delicious bread and cocktails (not pictured). I know this is a lot to say about bread but, wow! It was incredible and I am still dreaming about this warm and flavorful bread.
Next, we were served the most amazing tuna tartare and seared sea scallops! The tuna tartar is one of the best appetizers I have ever had. It was fresh, light and so tasty because of the avocado and soy honey emulsion sauce. I could have had that as my meal. My husband loved the seared scallops, and said that they were seared perfectly and tasted delicious! They had a short rib marmalade, sweet corn, Hawaiian hearts of palm and english pea puree.
The Main Course
With our dinner, we ordered the Pinot Griot which was perfectly crisp and paired well with all of our main dishes. For our main course, we had the most delicious and tender filet served with two grilled shrimp. The filet was definitely my favorite! Also, we tried the roasted half organic chicken, which were plated with haricot vert, fennel and chamomile broth. The chicken was my husband’s favorite because it was beyond juicy and extremely flavorful.
The sides may have been the best sides we have ever eaten. The mashed potatoes rivaled my mom’s famous mashed potatoes, which is very hard to do! They were creamy and fluffy and paired perfectly with my filet. And then the mac and cheese; I almost have no words, that is how good they were. They were perfectly cheesy, creamy, and just absolutely delicious! And for a veggie, we had one of my favorite vegetables which was asparagus, which were the great and featured some lemon zest for an extra kick!
All I can say about our dessert is, presentation! We started off our dessert with an amazing presentation of strawberry short cake, but it wasn’t an ordinary short cake. It is called The Cloud. And let me just say, it is amazing! The staff lights the cotton candy cloud on fire and it melts down until you can see the beautiful strawberry ice cream and angel food cake.
We also had Warmed Baked Cookie, and it may sound simple, but that may be one of the best cookies and ice cream we have ever had. It was warm, gooey, and perfectly contrasted the cool vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Finally, my desserts would not be complete without a cappuccino! It was the best way to complete such an amazing evening.
STK has many locations both within the US and Internationally. I highly recommend stopping by the closest one to you to celebrate an occasion, birthday or just for a fabulous night out! I cannot wait for my next visit!
ASOS is always a go-to online retailer that I love to shop at. Why? Because they have the cutest clothes and a lot of affordable options. Now, this is not sponsored at all. I am just sharing with you ladies some beautiful spring/summer dresses that I just found on their site.
And the best part, they are currently running a sale for 20% off everything! Use the code “ITSMAY20” at checkout. I hope you enjoy these great Spring dresses I put together for you that are all under $60, plus the additional 20% off! Happy shopping!
As you know by now, I have been loving my one piece bathing suits. Well this bandeau one piece swimsuit is a great one piece option. I loved pairing it with these beach lounge pants, because it actually looks like a whole outfit!
What I love about one pieces is that they can easily transition into an outfit if you want to head to brunch, or lunch after your pool or beach time. I have been picking up a lot of my suits from American Eagle and Aerie because they are extremely affordable and of good quality. I love their bathing suits (whether bikinis or one pieces) because they have a wide selection that is great for all shapes and sizes.
How is the weather where you are from? Because here, it is super hot and definitely summer feeling here in South Florida. So I am now in full fledged summer mode.
Living in South Florida, summer comes pretty quickly around here. Well, it tends to be year round summer depending on how our “winter’s” go. But some would even qualify our “winters” as summer!
I posted this look on my Instagram last night and said that from now on, only sandals, tank tops, shorts and swimsuits from here on out, until further notice. Why? Because it has officially become South Florida hot. I am starting to feel the humidity which means summer is basically here already.
So to keep cool, I won’t be seen in many outerwear pieces and more or closed toe shoes. It’s is now about the breathable outfits that won’t suffocate me while being out and about in this sunny weather. It’s about tropical vibes only!
Some days, I like sharing sales and/or regular priced items that I am really loving at the moment or that are currently in my cart and I am about to buy. Today are these 5 dresses and all of them are under $55! Each one would be great for spring and summer. Happy shopping!
